Just A Question!

When one is told
Their end is near.
There seems no answer
To stop the fear!

But is that fear
A rightful emotion
When maybe peace
Will be the truthful option?

All fear is...

Angharad's picture

All fear is,
So they say
Fear of death
The fateful day

Fear of what?
Of after death
Of hells or heavens
It's all a myth.

Fear of lies
Or fear of truth?
Fear that dies
Or fear of proof?

Fear of peace?
Or piece of fear
Discovery
As it draws near?

Some questions
It is dumb to why,
Just get on
And do or die.

Fear Not

I read your question and decided to answer it regarding myown self. I do not fear death as I see death as a moving on to a far better thing. I am a born again Christian and truly believe that to be absent from the world is to be with Jesus in Heaven.
That does not mean I defy death, it means I am certain about my future after death.

Death? I thought ...

... you were talking about global warming. :)

Concepts can be different

Aardvark;
after reading your comment I went back and re-read the blog. This is one of those small quandries that can be read and interpreted as different things by the reader. I can see the Global warming concept as well.
Where I reside I am positive that Global warming is a concept that actually doesn't exist. We have had some rather cool days and we are almost into June. I think this is more like the movie "The Day after Tomorrow" when the northern hemisphere goes into an arctic freezing

Where on earth....

...does global warming come in to your mind?

As a matter of fact I wrote that after reading a local newspaper story. A youngster was kidnapped and terribly abused and I wondered (hoped) there was a way they found some peace to replace the fear before they died.

Ah, but ...

... that's an after-the-fact explanation.

When I read your poem, I thought of the ever-increasing apocryphal warnings about global warming. The AGW folks sometimes remind me of that scene in the mini-series, "The Stand," the one where Kareem Abdul Jabbar stands on the streets of NYC, in a plain robe, rings a bell and cries, "Bring out your dead!"

As the poem suggests, the answer might be peace -- in my mind, the peaceful response of reason.
