The site was down temporarily here because I needed to cool off from a temper tantrum. In the last two weeks, I have put in more than forty hours a week in running BC to the neglect of many other aspects of my life. Count in Bob's time during that span and we're talking more than 130 hours that in a just world could be billed at $115 an hour to someone (yes, that's what I used to bill). About $15,000.

So when someone expresses "irritation" that there are stories here that they don't want to read and someone else agrees and says that it's a "shame" that a feature does not work perfectly, I get annoyed. Pretty damn annoyed if truth be told.

I don't allow public complaints about the types of stories posted here. It should be obvious why not. And if a feature doesn't work, it may be a "pity" and it may even by a "tragedy" by hyperbolic license. But damn sure it isn't a shame.

Since you're reading this, you know the site is back up. I'm not mad at anyone anymore, only mildly "irritated". I really did need to cool off so I could write a calm message like this one rather than the three or four hot ones I wrote first.

So let's all just get back to posting and reading stories and no finger pointing, please. Don't even point at yourself, you can blame me for having a hair trigger if you suspect yourself of anything. :)

Let's all just be tolerant of what other people like and patient with how the site works. This is the real world, folks; you don't always get what you want.
