There have been continuing problems for many people with the persistent login function. I hope that Bob and I have now fixed this by uninstalling and then reinstalling the module. Unfortunately, that wiped out everyone's pre-existing persistent login so we all have to do that over but it appears to be working now. :)

Speed-up

While doing that, Bob and I also tried another tweak of the database which seems to have resulted in another increase in performance to where the site is acting much like it did about a year ago with mostly sub-5 second page reloads. Yay, us!

Cache problems

I kept thinking it was a cache problem but too many people reported it. It worked fine for me but the table had gotten corrupted and needed repair. To repair and update it, we had to delete it first. All better now, I hope. :)

Me, too

I was having the same problem, but since I use IE6 almost exclusively, I figured it was something I'd just have to live with. Thanks
