Hey loyal readers,

So, I got hired for a new job and I start on Monday. It'll be a lot less stressful I hope, with a regular schedule every week that should be easier to work my writing around. I gave my notice today, in the most hilariously spiteful and whimsical way possible. One of my co-workers was worried about me burning bridges with the store manager, but I'm all like, hand me that fucking metaphorical gasoline. Anyway, so now I just need to endure the next two weeks of working two jobs with nary a day off and I can get back to what I love doing, writing stories for my loyal readers.

*hugs and kisses*

You go girl

I think your co-worker is worried about some kind of 'revenge' on the manager part.

But I suspect the manager is arsed to care. If I were one of your coworkers I would worry about having to shoulder (if they can) your burden once you are gone as based on past behavior s/he will take their sweet time finding a replacement for you.

Thanks Kimmie

Maybe, but she was also worried than I might not be able to get the job back if this one doesn't work out. There's no way I'd want it back though. One of my fellow keyholders has been working a lot of hours lately, but she wants the extra hours. She'll probably be picking up a lot until the manager hires someone else or actually comes in to do her own damn job.

bridge

Only if she was that lucky. Being able to 'take this job and shove it' is the stuff dreams are made of in some situations.

Nope, I suspect her mangler is alive and well as she is working her notice. The mangler is no doubt in their lair of evil plotting to hire the next victim to get mangled.

Burning bridges

One can only hope she's standing on it as it burns. Sad but true, why come in and work when she can get someone else to do her job for her. I mean she's on salary, so she gets paid regardless, unlike the rest of us.

Thanks for the update!

Thanks for the update! Frankly, if it's a job where you wouldn't go back even if the new one fails, burning your bridges isn't a horrible thing. That is, as long as you're truthful, rather than just spiteful.

"I found a new job, specifically because you're rude, uncaring, and abusive towards your employees. You have no idea how to run a business, because if you did, you wouldn't be taking your inabilities out on those who do know how to run a business."

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

Yup

I pretty much told her exactly why I was leaving. And I wrote my resignation on one of those greeting cards that say, "With Deepest Sympathy on your recent loss." A little bit spiteful and snarky, maybe even petty, but whimsical and oh-so-hilarious. When I showed my co-workers they were cracking up.

I wonder what your managers

I wonder what your managers boss will say once you are gone and her work isn't being done anymore, especially to your standards, since she's too lazy to come in I doubt she does more than a half ass job on the work when she does it.

Good luck on your new job!

lol I think my quitting has had an effect. She announced today that she doesn't want to be the manager anymore. Thank Goddess I already quit, or head office would probably be trying to get me to take the damn job.

I’m happy for you

It’s good that you were able to get a better job. I hope that it is significantly better for your mental and physical well being.

Thanks Cyarra
