Does anyone know if the Whately site is ever going to post new stories?

They've been on schedule

A canon story is posted at 8 PM Eastern Time on Mondays. The release schedule has only seldom been missed; a few months consisted of reposts of older stories but the last couple months have all had new Whateley stories.

Make sure you're going to the current site and not the old one - https://whateley.academy/

Thank you for linking to my story.

Yeah, the old site was discontinued because after all this time and after changes to back-end coding and such, it was getting to the point it was about as stable as a game of Jenga held on the San Andreas Fault.

Oh

& The Morfs Site 2

They are there.

you first have to click on read in the upper corner, then you'll get the content categories.Untitled.png

Oof

No stories... ?

Current count on the Whateley canon: 701 story parts. Most story parts are 20k words... a few less, a few more, but 20k is our standard target for a release.

WhatIFs (the non-canon stories written by the community and occasionally canon authors who want to play with something that won't quite fit into the canon plotline) count is at: 102 story parts. This doesn't include those stories in 'workshop' mode and only posted on the forums... just the ones posted via the site CMS. There are still some good reads posted in the forums where authors didn't want to make the jump to the CMS.

And then there are stories in the non-Whateley 'Library' section... which includes things from canon authors and non, some fanfics in other universes as well as some of our own unique worlds. Those number 207.

That amounts to approximately 14 million words of canon story, 2 million words of WhatIF, and 4 million of Library content. A total of around 20 million words (it's more, but this is the quick math). That's equivalent to 250 novels by the 300 page/80k word old standard. Without even looking at the forum stories. I get that it's not as numerous as BCTS or Fictionmania (or similar sites), but it's a fairly significant amount of content for a site dedicated primarily to a single universe concept.

Now... I understand that not everyone likes or wants to deal with the graphic interface we've moved to on the new site. But it isn't that hard to navigate. And for those who don't want graphics, I even implemented a super simple text page AND a tag-filter-based search system. The search system can be found at https://whateley.academy/index.php/read and the text version(s) can be found on the Read sub-menu under "Text" at https://whateley.academy/index.php/text-version ... there are further submenus from there to split that massive list into categories. In general, ALL the menu options can be found at the top of the given load page, as Rose shared in her post (with an image and arrow).

Hopefully, that helps people find stories and feel less 'bored' by our site. :)
