Though has a similar scene backstage in a theatre
Almost 100% positive that the story that I'm after has no myth, legend or magic! and is a story with more than 1 posted part
But the story begins backstage with the MC, who is either an actor or high up in the crew. arguing with producer\director
MC fired (can't remember reason.)
MC is in early 20s (i think) but is also a college student
Can't remember why MC finally decides to transition

I know this story but for the life of me can't remember what it's called.

No magic or sci fi
There was definitely no magic or sci-fi involved though I think there may have been some cricket

There only two stories I can remember (not that I'm saying that there were't more), were "It's Simply Not Cricket!" set in Australia by Annette (aka OES) who sadly took it down shortly before she passed.
and the second was set in the UK, which is a work in progress, by Christine Myr titled "Caught In Slips"
I am unsure if "Caught In Slips" will be continued as the last part to be published was posted by a friend of Christine who also posted a Blog at the same time, in which the friend said Chrstne had suffered a stroke and was in poor health.
