When a man goes on a date he is wondering if he will git lucky. When a woman goes on a date she wonders if she will survive.
Transwomen and the LGBT+ community are at even higher risk. Yes, the absolute rates are low but they are much higher than for cis men.
And of course non-physical assaults are higher than physical assaults.

Societal acceptance is the real solution. And maybe in some long future utopia that will happen. But that is not true today.

I'm not sure what to think about it. Is it an addition to the arsenal we already carry? Does it replace the pepper spray or the hand gun?
It looks like a good idea. What do you think?

Replace a gun?

In large parts of the world, the simple act of possessing a handgun will send you to jail for at least 5 years.

...heavy penalties for pepper and similar sprays as well.

Oddly, murder rates are an awful lot lower here.

There is only so much "loud" can be packed into a small item. I have a similar item. It is more for shock value as the attacker is frightened off before his mind figures out where the sound is coming from. Does it work? Don't know never used it.
