I noticed in Angela Rasch's "Friends Four Life / Gill, A Girlfriend Part Seven" that not many comments were left by readers which really surprised me. I do not like forced feminization stories but I continued to read as chapters were posted and it became clear that it was not really FF.. and when chapter 6 was posted I had a real hard time reading it. Chapter 7 pulled everything together. In my comment at the end of chapter 7 I had to apologize to Angela for my thoughts of her that I developed reading chapter 6.

To get the most out of the last chapter you need to pay attention to the conversations between the characters and Jim/Jill & his/her thoughts in chapters 1-6. If you gloss over these chapters chapter 7 you may not experience chapter 7's full effect.

I personally fell that this story is really moving and is worth a through read.

Those are my thoughts

Friends For Life

I missed the publication of the story. Normally I read her stories and know that what I read may have a twist, but it will generally be enjoyable. Stories with too many tears and pain, I usually pass up. The last twenty years have been far too challenging to go looking for more.

Wisdom from a Priest

Years ago a priest told me that girls are like street cars. If you miss one, you can always catch another.

Yes, we did have street cars in my town when I was very young. By the time he said that street cars were a thing of the past, but his point was still valid.

I don't write for a specific audience. I don't follow a certain story formula.

I'm not offended if a reader walks away from a certain story -- or even all of my stories.

I appreciate Darlyne's comments. Friends Four Life has a lot to offer but if you choose not to read it that is your loss. I spend a great deal of time researching, structuring, and editing to make a story readable. That doesn't mean it's for everyone.

Last night I watched a program on PBS that is trying to select the best novels. There were at least a dozen bowls in their list of 100 that I've tried to read and gave up on.

I don't think that says anything about their list. . .or me. That's just the way things are.
