Lexi moves carefully in the rafter as she pulls the electrical wire behind her. She was working with the electricians from S&W Electrical. Her uncle assigned her to help them out because they were a man down.

“He was trying to tarnish Lexi’s reputation, sweetie.” Howard wanted to beat the daylights out of the lawyer.

The lawyer they hired did their best to defend Lexi, but it was a case of he said, she said. The main evidence that had been collected had been contaminated, thanks to a lab technician. Their lawyer couldn’t prove Lexi’s stepbrother had anything to do with her rape and abuse.

“You know that as long as that video is up on the internet, it's going to keep on hurting Lexi, Howard.” Rose was concerned about Lexi’s future.

“I know. I spoke to the guy that I use to fix my computers for the construction. He said that even if they somehow managed to find what server it was on, there are places on the darknet that would house it. That’s not counting how many people may have downloaded the video as well.”

“That’s if it was made available by Lexi’s brothers.” Rose was thinking that Lexi’s stepbrothers were being careful who they share the video with.

“True, it's too bad Lexi destroyed Shawn's cellphone. I could have had Robert look at it and tell me what server it was on.” Howard knew Lexi had a temper, plus she hated learning that there was a video being shared about what happened to her.

Rose wishes they could do more to help Lexi. She was already seeing a counselor for her gender dysphoria and the rape she went through. That’s not counting the bullying she went through at school.

“How was she?” Howard was concerned.

“She cried herself to sleep. It's going to take a few more days for her to get over what Shawn did to her.”

“It might be good if she stays home, instead of going to work with me.” Howard knew how much Lexi likes to work with him and the guys.

“I think that might be best for her. She can help me down at the store with some of the flora arrangements.” Rose wouldn’t mind having Lexi with her at the flower store.

“Sounds good, a few days away from the construction site will do her some good.” Howard was going to hate not having his little helper with him.

Lexi sleeps throughout the night. She does toss and turns some in her sleep. Her alarm clock goes off at five-thirty in the morning. She reaches over to her alarm clock and smacks it.

After nine minutes, it goes off again. She reaches over and smacks it again. Lexi drags herself out of bed and into the bathroom, to do her morning business. She didn’t want to leave the safety of her bedroom, but she was never a quitter. She gets dress and heads downstairs to help her aunt.

When she walks into the kitchen, she spots her aunt fixing breakfast. She walks over to the refrigerator and grabs the milk.

Rose looks up when Lexi walks into the kitchen “Lexi, you’re going to work with me today down at the flower shop.”

“Okay.” Lexi didn’t mind helping her aunt down at the flower shop.

She preferred working with her uncle and the guys at the construction site. She grabs a bowl for her cereal and pours her favorite cereal into the bowl. She pours the milk next and puts it back into the refrigerator.

Howard comes walking into the kitchen. He notices Lexi sitting at the kitchen table eating her favorite cereal “morning kiddo. How are you feeling?”

Lexi looks at her uncle “so, so.”

Howard could hear that Lexi wasn’t her normal cheerful self. He walks over to her “everything is going to be alright. You’ll be working with your aunt for the next couple of days.” He places a kiss on Lexi’s forehead.

Lexi looks up at her uncle and would rather work with him, but today she didn’t want to be around anyone. At least at the flower shop, her aunt worked at, she could stay in the back and work with Joel and Kelly. Joel was a flaming gay guy that had an opinion about everything. He also had a tall rooster tail. He had a lot of hair in the middle of his head and small on the side. He dyed the hair in the middle bright red.

“Okay.” Lexi continues to eat her cereal.

Howard ruffles Lexi’s hair and kisses his wife on the cheek, before leaving. It felt strange going to work without his helper today.

“You’ll have fun today, Lexi.” Rose puts everything away and finishes getting ready for work.

Lexi watches her aunt leave the kitchen. She finishes her cereal and rinses it out. She didn’t want to be around anyone today. She heads back upstairs to her bedroom and changes her t-shirt. She had a few with the flower shop name on them. She brushes her hair again and heads back downstairs, after grabbing her purse. Her cellphone was inside it.

“You ready kiddo?” Rose looks at Lexi as she comes downstairs.

“Yes ma’am.”

Rose lets Lexi head out of the house first, before locking the front door. Once the door was locked she walks over to her car. Lexi was already inside and looking depressed. She wishes she could do something to cheer up Lexi, but she didn’t know what to do.

The ride to the floral shop didn’t take long. Rose parks her car near the delivery truck.

“Wait outside, while I go and disarm the security system, Lexi.” As Rose unlocks the front door.

“Yes ma’am.” Lexi watches as her aunt dashes inside and disarms the security system.

Lexi watches for her aunt to wave her inside. When she spots her aunt waving at her, she heads inside and locks the door behind her. The lights spring on and her aunt comes out from the work area.

“Lexi, why don’t you sweep the floor, and I’ll get the cash registers ready.”

“Okay.” Lexi into the back and grab the dustpan and broom.

She walks back out to the front and starts sweeping.This wasn’t the first time she has come to work with her aunt. While she is sweeping the
front and dusting, Joel and Kelly show up.

Joel’s hair was red as ever and he had on a muscle shirt that said Florists are the best lovers. We know how to plant things.

“Hey kiddo, what brings you up here today?” Joel knew Lexi normally worked with her uncle.

“She’s having a bad day.” Rose knew Lexi wasn’t going to answer.

“So, it's that time of the month, for her.” Joel knew how that can be sometimes.

“Oh, sweetie. If you need anything today, just let me know.” Kelly knew how bad periods could be.

“I will.” Lexi goes back to dusting.

After Lexi has finished sweeping, her Aunt Rose puts her to work stripping the thorns from a bunch of roses. Before she hands the utility knife to Lexi “be careful grabbing the roses, Lexi, and using the knife.”

“Yes ma’am.” Lexi accepts the utility knife and starts stripping the thrones off.

While she is stripping the thorns off, she pricks her fingers several times. She sucks on them to stop the bleeding.

“It hurts, doesn’t it?” Joel looks at Lexi as she sucks on her fingers.

“Yes.”

A smirk appears on Joel’s face. He has pricked his fingers several times while scraping off the thorns. He finishes up the floral arrangement he had been working on.

Music was playing in the background and whenever a song everyone knew starts playing. Rose, Joel, and Kelly would start singing. Lexi just listens to them as she strips a second batch of yellow roses.

At lunch time, Rose orders Chinese Food for everyone from the local Chinese unit. It was only a few doors down from the flower shop. Joel and Kelly try to cheer up Lexi during the day. Joel even makes her a funny floral arrangement.

“Thanks, Joel.” Lexi sits the arrangement down on her aunt’s desk.

Rachel glances over towards her sleeping daughter as she drove towards her new client. Her colleague that had been handling the case, had done everything she could for her client. Just as she was going to try a new tactic, she ended up being T-boned by a drunk driver.

She had visited her colleague in the hospital and couldn’t believe how badly injured she was. She glances at the navigation map and saw she was only a few miles away. She read the file her friend Tracy gave her and according to the contents. The poor girl involved had been raped and filmed by her stepbrothers and their friends.

The problem was, she had been blindfolded and secured to a table. She was unable to see who the men were, but she knew her stepbrothers were involved. The semen sample and skin tissue that had been taken off her had been corrupted by a lab technician. Which, she didn’t believe was an accident. Because when she did a background check on the technician. She found that he was related to a felon by the name of Jon Hawkins.

Mr. Hawkins was a bookie for the Corleonesi Mafia. According to the information from the Private Investigator she works with. The technician from the lab was his nephew.

The question still was unanswered. Why was the technician covering for Katz’s brothers? That was one thing that was bothering her.

“You have arrived at your destination.” Rachel looks at the nice ranch-style house as she pulls up to the curb.

The lawn, the house, and the whole neighborhood looked like something from a home and garden magazine. She reaches over and gently shakes Athena’s shoulder “it’s time to wake up, sweetie.”

Athena flinches when she is shaken. It takes her a few seconds to realize she wasn’t a prisoner anymore to the sex traffickers. She sits up and brushes her unruly short light brown hair out of her face. Her eyes were covered by a pair of black sunglasses that wrapped around her face.

“Sorry, mom.” She looks in the direction of her mother’s voice.

“It’s okay, sweetie.” Rachel knew Athena still suffered from her time with the traffickers.

She unfastens her seatbelt and grabs her briefcase from behind the driver's seat. She walks around to the passenger side and helps Athena
out of the car. She holds her daughters’ hand as she closes the passenger door behind her.

“Alright sweetie, step carefully.” Rachel guides her daughter over the grass and onto the sidewalk.

Athena taps her cane as she follows along with her mother. Her mother guides her up to a flight of stairs.

“Alright sweetie, we're going up four steps.” Rachel watches as her daughter taps the steps.

Rachel walks beside Athena as they go up the four steps onto a nice porch. They walk up to the front door and presses the doorbell.

“Someone is coming to the door, mom.” Athena could hear heavy footsteps coming to the front door.

Howard heard the doorbell ring and heads towards the front door. He looks at the app on his cellphone and saw it was a young dirty blonde hair woman, with a short young teenage girl standing next to her. He had been contacted by his lawyer before she was in the car accident that she had reached out to a friend of hers. He walks up to the door and opens it.

Rachel felt her daughter squeeze her hand, letting her know a person was at the door. She watches as the door opens. Standing in the doorway, was a clean-shaven, middle-aged man with dark hair. He had weather looked about his features.

“Hi, I’m Rachel Blake with Blake, Wolfhart, and Thomlinson. This is my daughter, Athena. I was contacted by your lawyer about your nieces’ case.”

“Please, come in, Mrs. Blake.” Howard steps aside to let Rachel and her daughter in.

Howard notices that Mrs. Blake’s daughter had a cane similar to what blind people use. He watches as the two women walk into his house. He noticed that the young girl stayed close to Mrs. Blake. It was the same behavior Lexi displayed when they rescued her.

Howard shuts the front door and looks towards Mrs. Blake “if you’ll follow me, please.”

“Lead the way, Mr. Hudgins.”

Howard escorts Mrs. Blake and her daughter into the den. His wife Rose was already in there and so was Lexi. He escorts Mrs. Blake and her daughter over to a nice sofa. He figures Mrs. Blake’s daughter would feel comfortable sitting next to her.

Lexi and Rose watch as a dirty blonde woman walks into the den carrying a dark leather bag. Walking next to the woman was a young teenage girl with a white cane tapping the ground as she walked. She had short light brown hair and was wearing a pair of dark sunglasses that wrap around her face.

The woman was dressed in a nice pantsuit. The teenage girl was wearing a simple dress that came down to her knees and had on a pair of light color sandals.

“Please have a seat, Mrs. Blake.” Howard motions to the sofa.

“Thank you, Mr. Hudgins.” Rachel helps her daughter first, before sitting down herself.

“Mrs. Blake, allow me to introduce my wife Rose and my niece Lexi.” Howard motions to his wife and niece.

“It’s nice to meet both of you.” Rachel smiles at both women.

“Would you or your daughter like anything to drink, Mrs. Blake?” Howard wonders if they were thirsty.

“No, we're good, thank you.”

“Okay.” Howard sits down in his favorite recliner.

Rachel looks at everyone present “as all of you know by now. Your lawyer and my friend Carol Blame is currently in critical care in the
hospital. Just before her accident, she reached out to me about your niece’s case. The reason she did that, is I have some experience in dealing with people who abused your niece.”

“Mrs. Blake, do you think Mrs. Blame’s accident is related to the case?” Rose was curious.

“No ma’am. I think it was just pure dumb luck that she was involved in that accident. However, the police are looking into it, just in case. As for
your case, I believe we can get enough evidence to punish those responsible for hurting your niece.” Rachel knew her investigator was already on the job.

“How so, Mrs. Blake? According to Mrs. Blame, it's our niece’s word against her stepbrother’s. Also, we need to prove that they made a video of what they did to our niece.” Howard knew a video was made, but they couldn’t prove anything.

“Trust me, Mr. Hudgins. My investigator will be able to get the evidence we need. Now, I know you are worried that Lexi’s stepbrother might have posted the video online. I’ve hired a computer expert who deals in matters like this, and he is working hard to find it.”

Lexi was holding her aunts’ hand as Mrs. Blake spoke. She just wanted her stepbrothers behind bars and that video they made destroyed. She notices that the young woman that had arrived with Mrs. Blake was sitting quietly next to her.

“Mrs. Blake, do you think you’ll be able to make those responsible for hurting our niece pay for their crimes?” Rose wanted Lexi’s stepbrothers and their friends to pay for what they did to her.

“I haven’t lost a case yet, that concerns abuse against young women. What was done to your niece was wrong and those that committed it, will pay.”

“How about our case of terminating the paternal rights of my sister?”

“Mrs. Blame has already completed that matter. There was enough evidence of abuse and neglect to cancel your sisters’ paternal rights. As for her husband, since Lexi was never officially adopted by him, he has no claim. So, you have full paternal rights to Lexi.” Rachel looks at Lexi and could see relief.

“We might have another problem, Mrs. Blake. A former employee of mine has become friends with Lexi’s stepbrother and gave him a copy of the video they made.” Howard was a little worried about what Shawn would do to hurt Lexi.

“Does he still have a copy of the video?” Rachel wonders if she could get her hands on it.

“He may have saved it to a cloud account but having a physical copy. Lexi destroyed his cellphone.” Howard didn’t fault his niece.

Athena turns her head towards the direction where Lexi and her aunt were sitting. She knew what it was like to be exploited and use “I would have done the same thing.”

Lexi looks at the blind girl. She wasn’t looking directly towards her, but she wonders what happened to her.

“Did something similar happen to you?”

Rachel looks at her daughter and wonders if she was going to share what happened to her. Normally, Athena didn’t like talking about what she experienced at the hands of the men that kidnapped her.

“No! I experienced something worse. However, I know how you feel because I feel the same way.” Athena reaches for her mother’s hand.

Rachel grips Athena’s hand and gives it a little squeeze. She wishes that her daughter never had to experience what she did. However, the
men that hurt her were behind bars in the worst prison there was.

“Here is what I suggest we do from here on out.”

Lexi was out clothes shopping and grocery shopping with her aunt Rose. Her uncle had gotten together with some of his friends, and they were out fishing on their favorite lake. Lexi never enjoyed fishing, but she did enjoy spending time with her uncle and listening to the tall fish stories his friends told.

The first place Lexi and her aunt stop at was the gap. Her Aunt Rose thought she could use more upscale clothes, instead of her coveralls and blue jeans. Sure, she had some dress slacks and such, but she needed a few dresses, skirts, and a few more shorts.

“Aunt Rose, can I get a few leggings, please?” Lexi spotted a few that were on sale.

“Sure, but get a few shirts to go with them.” Rose spotted a few that were on sale.

“Okay.” Lexi walks over towards the display where the leggings were and selects a few.

She spotted her aunt looking at some nice summer dresses and skirts. Lexi saw some thigh-high socks that she liked that were nearby. She looks through the selection and picks a few.

Most of the things Lexi saw were on sale. Which, she knew would please her aunt a lot. She spotted some full-length shirts that would go with her leggings. She selects a few to go with the leggings.

“Lexi, come over here, please.” Rose looks at Lexi to see what she found.

“Yes ma’am.” Lexi carries what she found over to her aunt.

Rose watches as Lexi walks over towards her. She could tell Lexi had selected several leggings, shirts, and thigh-high socks.

“What’s up, Aunt Rose?” Lexi looks at her aunt.

“I want you to try these clothes on sweety.” Rose had a handful of dresses and skirts for Lexi to try on.

“Okay, can you hold these, please?” Lexi gives what she was carrying to her aunt.

“Sure.” Rose gives the clothes she wanted Lexi to try on to her.

Lexi takes the clothes her aunt handed her into the dressing room with her. She tries the skirts on first since they were the easiest to put on.
They were a little snug but fit her waist. She tries all of them on and set them aside as she took them off. She undresses all the way and tries the dresses on next.

Lexi steps out to let her aunt look at the dress she puts on. She liked how the dress was cut and fit her.

“This one fits nicely, Aunt Rose.” Lexi twirls around in it.

Rose watches as Lexi twirls around in the dress. She had to agree that it fits Lexi perfectly.

“Can you move around freely in it?”

“Yes ma’am.” Lexi moves her arms without any restrictions.

“Good! Now go and try the others on.” Rose liked how the dress looked on Lexi.

“Yes, ma’am.” Lexi turns around and heads back into the dressing room to change outfits.

She tries on the rest of the dresses. There was only one dress she didn’t like, and her aunt didn’t like either. After trying on the dresses and skirts. Rose and Lexi head to the shoe store. They were having a buy one, get one sale on shoes.

Lexi selects a few shoes she likes. Her Aunt Rose select a few she thinks would be proper for Lexi to wear to work either at her place or on the construction site. After spending nearly eight hundred dollars on clothes, shoes, and a few odds and ends.

Rose and Lexi have lunch at a nice restaurant, that was nearby. Lexi watches as the waitress and waiters took care of the customers in the restaurant. Lexi looks at her aunt “do you think Uncle Howard is catching anything?”

“With your uncle, I think he’ll bring some fish home for us to cook.” Rose knew her husband always came home with something.

After lunch, Rose and Lexi go grocery shopping. Lexi liked shopping because her aunt let her choose what dinners they are going to have during the week. She loved picking out the ingredients. While they are shopping, Rose runs into some women she knew either personally or from the flower shop.

One of the older women spots Lexi as she came walking back to her aunt Rose. She looks at Lexi and a smile appears on her face “I didn’t know you had a niece, Rose.”

“Yes, this is my niece Lexi. She’s staying with me and Howard.” Rose looks fondly at Lexi.

“Really? Is she going to be going to school as well?” Megan was curious.

“Lexi already has her degree. She’s going to be working with me sometimes or with Howard sometimes.” Rose figures Lexi could spend her time between the two of them. She also knew that Lexi was planning on getting her GED.

“Oh?” Megan looks at Lexi as she stood near Rose.

She could tell Lexi was observant. A smile appears on her “well it's been nice, catching up with you Rose.”

“You too, Megan. You should come by the flower shop sometimes.”

“I’ll be by soon.” Megan waves as she walks off.

Lexi and Rose continue their grocery shopping.

Blake’s Hotel Room:
Rachel feels Athena lying next to her. She must have crawled into bed with her last night. She knew Athena was still overcoming what had been done to her. She places a kiss on Athena’s cheek.

“I’ll never let anyone ever hurt you again.” Rachel couldn’t believe that the people who had kidnapped Athena. Had been responsible for her losing her sight.

It turned out that Rachel’s birth parents didn’t want to pay the kidnappers. They knew their daughter was slowly losing her eyesight. Neither one of her parents should have never had children.

Her brother Jamie had rescued Athena along with several other kids that had been kidnapped. He and his men located the kids by an implant one of the kids had. It was a safety measure one of the parents had done, because of how rich they were.

She slowly gets out of bed without waking her daughter. She heads into the bathroom and does her business. As she is walking out of the bathroom, Rachel spots Athena sitting up on the bed.

“I hope I didn’t wake you, sweety.” Rachel walks over and sits down next to her daughter.

“You didn’t mom. I didn’t feel you next to me and I got scared.” Athena reaches for her mother’s hand.

Rachel lets Athena grab her hand. She knew Athena didn’t feel safe unless she had physical contact. She was still getting used to her blindness.

“Did you need to go to the bathroom sweety?”

“Yes ma’am.” Athena carefully scoots to the edge of the bed, while still holding her mother’s hand.

Rachel helps Athena to the bathroom and lets her do her business in private. She knew it was a little confusing for Athena because she was in a weird place. She waits until she hears her daughter wash her hands.

She watches as the bathroom door opens and Athena runs her hands along the sink towards her. Rachel walks over to Athena “I’m right here, sweety.”

Athena holds her mother’s hand as she is escorted over to the bed. She sits down on the mattress “are you going to be working on the Hudgins case?”

“I’m hoping to sweetie unless you need me for something?” Rachel sits down next to her daughter.

“No ma’am, I was just wondering if I can help?” Athena wanted to be useful.

“I don’t see why you can’t sweetie. Your grandmother did build you a special laptop so you can access the internet. Why don’t I get it set up for you, and I’ll give you a few things to do?” Rachel knew her mother built a special laptop for Athena.

“Thank you, mom.” Athena hugs Rachel.

“You’re welcome.” Rachel returns the hug.

Afterward, Rachel helps Athena get dress. She lets her daughter dress but helps when Athena has problems or tries putting her bra on backward. She could tell that Athena felt frustrated. She knew with time; her daughter will figure it out.

“There, you look decent. Now, why don’t we go and get some breakfast and when we get back. I’ll set up your laptop and you can do some research for me.”

A smile appears on Athena’s face. She doesn’t like feeling like a burden to her mother. She grabs her cane, glasses, and lets her mother escort her out of their hotel room.

Lexi looks up at the sky as she hurried to cover up several pieces of construction equipment. The day had started nice and sunny, but thunder clouds had moved in. They were trying to get all the equipment under wrap and put away. Just as she gets the last piece of equipment under wrap. The sky opens up and rain comes pouring down.

Everyone starts running for cover as the rain comes down. Lexi runs towards the contractor’s trailer and as she is running, she slips and starts sliding on some mud.

“Lexi, are you alright?” Paulie walks over to Lexi to help her up off the wet ground.

“I’m fine. I’m just soaking wet and muddy now.”

Lexi and Paulie manage to make it to the contractor’s office. Paulie opens the door for Lexi and helps her up the stairs. He follows behind her as they walk into the office.

Howard looks up from his laptop and spots Paulie and Lexi walking into the office. Both looked like drowned rats. Except, Lexi was covered in mud.

“What happened, sweet pea?” Howard was trying not to smirk at Lexi’s appearance.

“I slipped on some mud.” Lexi wishes she had a change of clothing.

Paulie walks over to Shawn’s former desk and sits down at it. He got a promotion from Howard after he fired Shawn.

“Give it a while. Your clothes will dry out and you can dust the dry mud off your coveralls.” Paulie smiles at Lexi.

“How long do you think it’s going to rain?” Lexi sits down on an upside-down bucket.

“Who knows, Lexi.” Howard lifts the blind to look outside and watch as the rain came down.

“You know, Lexi. You could go back outside and stand in the rain to wash the mud off.” Paulie thought he would tease Lexi.

“No, thank you. That rain is cold.” Lexi shivers from the A/C running and hitting her wet body.

“I’m going to be a while, Lexi, so make yourself comfortable.” Howard had a bunch of bills and work orders to tend to.

“That’s fine, Uncle Howard. I have a few games on my cellphone I can play.” Lexi pulls her cellphone out of a pocket on her coveralls and selects a game to play.

“She’s easy to please.” Paulie couldn’t believe how easy Lexi was to entertain.

“Lexi isn’t like most teenagers. She’s not into being selfish or self-centered.” Howard looks towards Lexi as she played on her cellphone.

For the next few hours, Howard and Paulie work on business stuff. Lexi plays her games on her cellphone. She looks up occasionally to see if the rain has slacked off any. Between the rain and the boredom, she was feeling. She was ready to go home.

Lexi finishes her game and looks over towards her uncle “are you done yet, Uncle Howard?”

Howard looks at Lexi “I’m done, sweet pea.”

“Me too.” Paulie stretches as he closes his laptop.

Paulie looks over towards Lexi “the mud on you should be dry by now.”

“I hope.” Lexi stands up and brushes some of the dry mud off her clothes.

She manages to get most of the mud off her clothes, but she still had some wet mud that needed to be washed off. She looks outside and the rain was still coming down, but it was lighter.

“Maybe, I’ll get wet enough to wash this mess off.”

“The truck is nearby, so you shouldn’t get too wet.” Howard grabs his truck keys.

Paulie looks at Howard as he gets up to leave “are we working tomorrow?”

“If the weather is going to be bad, no.” Howard didn’t like working his men in the rain.

“Alright, I’ll keep an eye on the weather report. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Paulie waves goodbye and walks out of the office.

Lexi watches as Paulie leaves. She looks at her uncle “I guess it's our turn.”

“I’ll go first and unlock the truck for you.” Howard walks out of the office and runs to his truck.

He hops in and starts the engine. He motions for Lexi to come to the truck.

“Here goes nothing.” Lexi locks the office up and sprints to her uncle’s truck.

She almost slips but manages to catches herself as she gets to the truck. She opens the passenger door and climbs in.

“I almost slip getting to the truck.” Lexi puts her seat belt on.

“Well, hopefully, your Aunt Rose will have something nice and hot waiting for us.” Howard knew his wife was cooking a roast.

As they are driving home, Lexi looks at her uncle “do you think our new lawyer will be able to put my stepbrothers and their friends in jail?”

“I hope so, Lexi. I hope Mrs. Blake lives up to her promise. I want to see justice for what they did to you.” Howard still couldn’t believe Lexi’s stepbrother and his friends did what they did.

Howard watches as some people speed pass by them in the downpour. He was doing a little less than the posted speed limit, because of how hard it was raining. Also, a few streets that lead to his place tended to flood. He has complained to several people down at city hall who have the power to fix it, but they would rather put the city money towards other projects.

He pulls into his driveway and park beside his wife’s car. He looks at Lexi “are you ready sweet pea?”

“As ready as you are, Uncle Howard.” Lexi had her hand on the door handle.

“Alright, let's go.” Howard jumps out of the truck and runs towards the porch.

Lexi follows behind her uncle. The rain still felt cold to her as she gets wet. By the time she reaches the porch, she was soaked.

“Take your boots off and leave them outside to dry.” Howard was removing his work boots.

Lexi sits in her aunt’s rocking chair and takes her work boots off. She also takes her wet socks off and hangs them on the outside of her boots. The two of them head into the house and spot Rose standing in the foyer holding towels.

“Her, take these towels and dry them off.” Rose hands her husband and Lexi a towel each.

“Thanks, sweetie.” Howard accepts the towel.

“Thanks, Aunt Rose.” Lexi accepts the towel and uses it to dry off.

“You’re welcome, sweetie. After you dry off and change clothes. Dinner is ready.”

“Thanks, sweetie.” Howard kisses Rose’s cheek.

Lexi heads towards her bedroom to change. She strips out of her wet clothes and slips on her pajama bottoms and an oversized t-shirt. Once she was dressed, she heads towards the dining room to join her aunt and uncle.

The Construction Site:
Security officer Wilson patrols the site in the golf cart that Mr. Hudgins was allowing them to use. He was enjoying the use of the golf cart. If he had to patrol this site on foot, it would take him too long.

He stops at several of the finished buildings and makes sure none of them were unlocked. He double-checks the completed buildings, before moving on. Once he gets back to the guard shack Mr. Hudgins had constructed for them. He parks the golf cart and heads inside the guard shack to write his report.

Shawn wasn’t sure who was on duty tonight as he moved among several of the buildings and placed five-gallon plastic gas cans filled with gasoline. This wasn’t the first time he has done something like this. He was going to pay Howard back for firing him.

He moves over to some of the construction equipment and rigs them to explode. He wanted to cause as much damage as possible. He watches as the security officer makes his rounds. When the security guard was inside the guard shack, he moves on to his new target.

Security Officer Wilson walks outside the guard shack and gets into the golf cart and makes his rounds. He changes up in what direction he starts first. He tries to make it impossible to predict what route and direction he would go. He also changes up what buildings he checks as well.

As he is heading back to the guard shack, several explosions go off. He spots several buildings catching fire. The next thing that goes off is some of the construction equipment. The contractor’s office explodes, destroying the guard shack that was near it.

He watches as his new pickup truck burst into flames. He pulls his cellphone out and calls the fire department. The next person he calls is his supervisor and finally Mr. Hudgins.

0100 hrs., Hudgins resident:
Rose and Howard were sound asleep. Most of the deadlines he had today were done. Mrs. Blake was still working on Lexi’s case. She’s been keeping them up to date on information she had recovered. Today, they discovered where the video of Lexi was being stored.

He is woken up from his cellphone ringing. He reaches over to the nightstand on his side of the bed and grabs it.

He presses accept “hello?”

“Mr. Hudgins, this is security officer Wilson. You need to come down here to the construction site right away.”

“What wrong, Wilson?” Howard sits up in bed. He listens carefully to the background noise and could hear sirens.

“Sir, several of the buildings and equipment are on fire. I’ve called the fire department and my supervisor.” Wilson could hear sirens coming towards the site.

“When did this happen?” Howard was already out of bed and getting dress.

“A few minutes ago, sir. I was heading back to the guard shack when several buildings exploded. Sir, your office and the guard shack are on fire. Also, my truck is on fire as well.” Wilson couldn’t do anything to stop his truck from burning.

“I’m on my way, Wilson.” Howard puts his work boots on and heads out of his bedroom.

“Okay.” Wilson ends the call.

The police show up and block off the entrance to the construction site. Several more fire trucks were showing up, because of how spread out the fire was. Security officer Wilson’s supervisor and Area advisor show up as well.

Howard had to explain to the police officer blocking off the entrance to the construction site, that he was the contractor. The police officer directs him to the police officer in charge. He spots security officer Wilson talking to the officer. He also recognizes the security company area adviser and Wilson’s supervisor.

When he gets a chance to speak to Wilson. He walks over to him “what happened, Wilson?”

“I just got done with my patrol and was heading back here to the guard shack. When the building near the end of the property exploded. After that, several more buildings burst into flames.”

“Did you see who did this?” Howard watches Wilson’s expression.

“No sir. Like I said. I was on my way back when all hell broke out. Your office exploded and destroyed the guard shack and caught my truck on fire.”

“I’ll cover your truck if your company doesn’t.” Howard figures the insurance he had would cover it.

“Thanks, Mr. Hudgins.”

Lexi’s Parents House:
Azura looks at the address Rachel gave her. She was informed that the case she was currently working on required her specialty. She still owed Rachel for having the murder charged she had been charged with, dropped. She parks several houses away from her target and moves quietly towards the address. According to Rachel, the person’s phone she was going to clone, recorded a video of his stepsister rape.

She didn’t like breaking into people’s homes when they were home, but she needed his cellphone. There were other ways she could do this, but this was more fun. She scouts around the house and checks to see if there were any windows opened.

No windows were open. Also, no one was awake either. She goes to the back door and uses her lock picks to unlock the door. She enters slowly, into the kitchen area and shuts the door behind her.

She moves throughout the house quietly, until she finds the person she is looking for. The person she was looking for, was sound asleep in his bedroom. He had fallen asleep in his boxers. She walks into his room quietly and looks around for his cellphone. She spots it, lying near him.
She moves over to his sleeping form and picks his cellphone up. She connects it to the scanner she built and records everything that was on it.
As she is waiting for the information to download, she looks around his bedroom. She wonders what other evidence this boy might have.

She spots his laptop and opens it. A smile appears on her face as she breaks into his laptop. Breaking his password, was easy. She transfers his browsing history to a thumb drive. She goes through his history and finds where the video is stored. She also learns that he has more of other women.

The address where the videos were stored, was a private one. She traces the IP address to the server to a company named Anabolic Video in Chatsworth, Los Angeles, California. She tries breaking into the server itself, but the laptop she was using, wasn't capable of doing what she needed.

Azura records the web address and disconnects from the server. She can break into the server from her setup at home. Once everything was shut down. She goes and checks on the download of the guy’s cellphone. The device she connected his phone too, showed it was done. All she had to do now, is find another phone just like his and clone it.

Azura picks her device up and puts the cellphone back where it was. Once everything was like it was before, she quietly leaves the house, locking the back door behind her. Now, she needed to go through everything and see what she had. She also needed to identify the other guys in the video she saw.

She’ll log onto her computer later to erase the file from the server.

Azura arrives back at her hotel room. She was relieved everything went as well as it did. Now that she has the information, she sits down and plugs the thumb drive into her custom-built laptop. She should be able to access the servers at Anabolic Video. She was glad that the hotel she was staying in, had a strong Wi-Fi connection.

She logs onto another server that belonged to another company to cover her tracks. Azura manages to break into Anabolic servers. She looks around and couldn’t believe the crap she was found in their servers. It takes her a while, but she finally finds the video she was looking forward to. She downloads the original footage. She knows Rachel won’t be able to use the footage because it was gained illegally. However, she could use the people she spotted in the video to blackmail the others. That way she could make it legal.

Azura looks through the videos and couldn’t believe how many videos Lexi’s stepbrother made of her. There were videos of her taking a shower. There was another one that look like she was asleep, and someone stuff their penis into her mouth. There was another one of her having a butt plug inserted in her ass.

“I wonder if the poor girl remembers any of this?” Azura finds other photos on the server of other girls that looked like they had been drugged.

Some of the pictures were liked Lexi, and some weren’t. They looked like they had been taken at a makeshift dungeon. Some of the women looked to be underaged and others looked to be older and mature.

She logs off and takes a quick shower. She sends a text to Rachel informing her that she has some information for her before she goes to bed. The more she does these types of jobs for Rachel, the more she realizes how sick people can be.

Construction Site:
Lexi writes the houses and equipment that had been either ruined or destroyed by the fire. She wonders why someone would do all this damage. She also wonders who did it as well.

She walks through the construction site continuing the inventory of damaged buildings and supplies. She moves some damaged timber out of the way to check on a concrete mixer. As she bends over to remove the debris covering the concrete mixer. Something hits her in the ass.

“OW!” Lexi rubs the spot and looks behind her. She doesn’t see anything behind her, except bushes and such.

She turns back around to get the model number from the ruined concrete mixer. The next thing she feels is her ass being hit multiple times. She also feels her back as well. She falls to the ground and grabs a piece of burnt wood to protect herself. Whatever had hit her, hurt like hell. Her back was in pain and so was her ass.

“You deserved that you fucking BITCH!”

Lexi was crying and hurting. She hears a few more shots as they hit the wood, she was protecting herself with. She looks at her hand and they were covered in neon green paint. She waits before getting up. She drops the wood and runs as fast as she can towards her uncle.

Howard was talking to some of his men when he notices Lexi running up to him. She looked like she was covered in paint. She runs straight to him and wraps her arms around him.

The guys standing around talking with Howard notices that Lexi’s back and hair were covered in different color paint. It looked like someone used her for target practice.

“What happened to you, Lexi?” Howard holds his niece. He see that her back, her butt, the back of her arms, and the bottom of her hair were covered in paint.

Howard just holds Lexi as she cries against his chest. He looks at his men “Brandon, can you continue what Lexi was working on, please?”

“Sure, no problem.” Brandon didn’t mind finishing what Lexi did.

“Come, one sweetie, let’s get your aunt up here and take you home.” Howard reaches into his back pocket and calls his wife.

Twenty minutes later, Rose shows up at the ruined construction site. She spots her husband holding Lexi sitting on the tailgate of her husband’s truck. She had been informed about what happened to her. They still didn’t know who fired the paintballs at Lexi.

“Hey sweetie, how are you feeling?” Rose looks at her niece.

“Sore, Aunt Rose.” Lexi felt a little better after taking some aspirin for the pain.

She also changed shirts as well. When Howard saw how black and blue Lexi’s back was from the paintballs hitting her. He got pissed off. He kept his temper in check because he didn’t want to upset Lexi.

“Her back is black and blue, Rose.” Howard looks at his wife.

“I’ll take her by Urgent Care and see if they can help her.” Rose wonders who did this to Rose.

“Alright, I’ll see you later this evening.” Howard still had a lot to do.

Rose escorts Lexi over to her car and helps her into the passenger seat. She is careful as she fastens Lexi in. She walks around and gets in on the driver's side.

“Do you know who did this to you, Lexi?” Rose drives towards the Urgent Care near their place.

“No ma’am. I didn’t recognize the voice.” Lexi didn’t know who it was that called her a bitch.

“Well, hopefully, we can find out who did this to you, sweetie. You don’t deserve this type of treatment.” Rose was upset that her niece had been hurt.

She was also upset that the construction site had been set ablaze. She was like her husband and wanted to know who was sabotaging his work site. It doesn’t take her long to get to Urgent Care.

After parking the car. She takes Lexi inside and registers her for treatment. Lexi was nervous when she goes inside the place. She didn’t care for doctor offices that much.

They wait twenty minutes before Lexi is seen. She was lucky to get a female doctor. The doctor looks at Lexi’s back and couldn’t believe how black and blue it was. Even Lexi’s arms where the paintballs hit her were heavily bruised.

Dr. Knox looks at the teenage girl “this is what I recommend for your welts.”

Dr. Knox hands Rose a sheet of paper. It had a list of instructions for Lexi to follow.

1. Wash the affected area
2. Apply a warm or cold compress
3. Take over-the-counter pain medication
4. Elevate the affected area
5. Soak in Epsom salt

Rose looks at the list of things for Lexi to do. She looks back at the doctor “how many days do you think it will take for the bruising and welts to go away?”

“Give it a few days. The swelling should go down. If it doesn’t come back and see me.”

“Thank you, Dr. Knox.”

Rose pays the bill and gets a receipt for Lexi’s visit. Her husband's construction company will handle the bill.

“Let’s get you home and soak your bruised back sweetie.”

“Yes ma’am.” Lexi follows her aunt to the car. They get in the car and head home.

Kilmarnock, Va. Police Department:
Detective Garcia looks over the crime scene photos of the fire from the Hudgins construction site. According to the Fire Inspector, the site was purposely set on fire. He and several members of his team found several devices that had been set at different locations at the construction site to go off. He looks at the photos and the notes that had been taken from the security officer on duty that night. He knew the security officer, so he did not doubt his statement.

Detective Montoya was sitting at her desk finishing up the paperwork on a case she just got finished working on. She looks over towards her friend Detective Garcia “how bad is it?”

Ben glances up from his notes at Joan “really bad. Whoever set these devices to start the fire, knew what they were doing.”

“Who would want to destroy so many houses?” Joan wonders why.

“I don’t know, but with this much damage, it would either have to be either for insurance or revenge. Just from talking to Mr. Hudgins, I’m ruling out insurance. Something tells me that this is for revenge.” Ben didn’t feel that Mr. Hudgins would do something like this type of damage for insurance.

Azura was unsure about the request Rachel was asking her to do. She still had a thing about going inside a police department after being arrested. She takes a deep breath as she reaches for the door handle of the police station and walks into the building.

As she walks into the building, she notices how small the reception area was. She spots a reception window and walks over to it. When she looks through the window, there were four desks with two officers in uniform, one older woman and one younger woman.

“Excuse me, who do I talk to about having some people arrested and brought in for questioning?” Azura watched who would get up first to answer her question.

Azura spots one of the male police officers in the office gets up and walks up to the window. He looked to be in his late twenties and had short black hair. He had a decent build to him.

“Hi, I’m patrol officer Alinsky, how can I help you?” Officer Azura looks at the young woman standing on the other side of the window.

“I need these people arrested.” Azura hands the list of names to patrol officer Alinsky.

Patrol Officer Alinsky looks at the names on the list. He looks back up at the woman “what crime have they committed?”

“Rape, kidnapping, torture, and assault.”

“Do you have any evidence to support your accusation?”

“Yes, I do.” Since Azura obtain the information about Lexi’s stepbrother.

Rachel told her that it could be used. If it had been law enforcement, who had done it. The evidence would have to be thrown out of court.

“Let me get Detective Montoya for you. Also, can I ask your name, ma’am?”

“Azura Thunderhawk.”

“If you could wait over there. I’ll only be a minute.” Alinsky points to a set of plastic seats on the other side of the window.

“No problem.” Azura turns and walks over to a set of yellow plastic chairs that looked to be mounted to the wall.

Since she was the only one in the waiting area. She sits down in the first yellow chair. She takes her cellphone out and looks up the local news.

Patrol Officer Alinsky takes the list of names he was given and heads out of the main office and through the maze towards the detective’s office. Since the police station was small and didn’t have much personnel. The detectives had their own office.

He stops and knocks on the door.

“Come in.” Detective Garcia had looked up when he heard the knock on the door.

Alinsky opens the door and walks into the office. He spots both detectives “sorry for bothering you guys, but I have a woman upfront that would like to press charges against the people on this list.”

Detective Garcia looks over towards Montoya “can you handle this?”

“Sure.” Detective Montoya looks at the list after Alinsky hands it to her.

Detective Montoya wonder what these people did? She also wonders where they got these names from. One of the names on the list looked familiar. She would have to go through her notes to find out why.

Detective Montoya looks up at Patrol Officer Alinsky “did she say why she wanted these people arrested?”

“Yes ma’am. She said she wants to press charges for rape, kidnapping, torture, and assault. She also said she has evidence to back up her claims.”

“I think I better interview her. Is she out in the waiting area?” Detective Montoya starts standing up.

“Yes ma’am. Her name is Azura Thunderhawk.” Alinsky hopes he remembered the young woman’s name right.

Alinsky exists the detective’s office first. Detective Montoya follows behind him, as they walk down the corridor, they affectively call the maze. Montoya wonders when they are going to update the building again.

“She’s waiting in the reception area, detective.” Alinsky heads towards his desk.

“Thanks, Alinsky.” Detective Montoya walks out into the reception area.

As she exits, she spots a nicely dressed young woman with short black hair, that looked to have purple highlights in it. She had a nice build to her and appeared to be in her late twenties.

She walks up to the young lady “hi, I’m Detective Montoya.” as Montoya holds out her hand.

“Hi, I’m Azura Thunderhawk. It’s nice to meet you. I take it, patrol officer Alinsky spoke to you about those names on the list I gave him?” Azura figured that was why Mrs. Montoya was outside speaking to her. She noticed that Montoya had some Spanish or Latino features about her.

“Yes, and he said that you have evidence to back up your claim?” Montoya watches the young woman and notices how observant she was.

“Yes ma’am. I have the evidence that will show them you why my employer wants them arrested.” Azura knew Rachel knew wanted everyone in the film arrested for what they did.

“Why don’t we go back to my office, and you can show me what you have.” Montoya wanted to see the evidence as well.

“Lead the way.” As Azura stands up and grabs her purse.

Detective Montoya takes Azura through the door she came through and back to her office.

Lexi channel surfs through the channels looking for something to watch on television. They had so many channels, and nothing was of any interest to her until she spots Guy’s Grocery Games. She selects that channel to watch.

Her back was slowly returning to normal. Her aunt took pictures of her back when they got home, just in case they found the person who shot her. Her uncle had several men he trusted to check the perimeter of the construction site where she had gotten shoot at. They found footprints, but not the person responsible for shooting her.

The episode of Guy’s Grocery Game was a spicy challenge. She felt sorry for the judges when they went to taste the food. Her uncle loved spicy food, but she doesn’t know if he could withstand the peppers they used in the food.

She sits there and watches as the judges suffer through the food. She felt so sorry for them. Guy on the other hand was having fun and took a bite himself. She shakes her head as she watches the show.

When the show is over, she gets up and head towards the bathroom, and fill the tub with cold water, as her aunt told her to. She didn’t like it, but it helped with getting the swelling down. She grits her teeth as she lowers herself down into the cold water. She could feel her nipples getting stiff from the cold water.

“God! This is so cold.” Lexi tries to keep her teeth from chattering as she sits in the tub.

She listens to some music while soaking. She needed to spend some time in the tub to let the water do its job. When the time was up, she gets
up and dried off. Just as she was walking out of the bathroom. She is punched right in the face by a person.

“You think you can ruin my life, BITCH!” Shawn glares at Lexi as she stood before him.

Lexi felt blood coming from her nose. She heard the bone break when he punched her. She tries to block another punch to her face, as he forces her back into the bathroom. She slips and lands on the floor.

Shawn kicks Lexi as hard as he could. He wanted her to pay back for what this cunt has cost him. He saw the police at his residence on his way back from buying beer. He knew then that she had been the one responsible for the police being at his place.

He kicks her again and again. After kicking her, he picks her up by her hair and pulls his switchblade out of his pocket, and starts cutting her hair off. Every time he feels her fight back, he smacks her hard across the face.

“Move again, bitch and I’ll cut your scalp like they use to do.”

Lexi tries to fight back but keeps getting smacked or punch each time. She feels her hair removed each time his knife cuts through her hair. When Shawn is finished, he looks down at her on the floor.

“Since you want to be a girl so badly. Let’s help you on your way, bitch.” Shawn starts cutting into Lexi's groin area.

Lexi screams as loud as she can as Shawn’s knife cuts into her body. She tries to kick him, but he had her legs pinned. She spots the toilet brush and grabs it and tries to shove it into his body.

Shawn brushes aside the toilet brush Lexi had grabbed. He punches her in the face again, as he digs his knife in deeper. He finishes his job and looks down at her “now you’re a woman.”

Shawn gets up and runs out of the bathroom. He makes sure he takes his knife with him. He rushes out of the house and to the car he borrowed from his cousin.

Lexi was in pain and knew she needed to stop the bleeding. She grabs her towel and presses it against her groin. She looks around for her cellphone and spots it. It had landed behind the toilet bowl. She uses her free hand to reach for it but is a little short. She could almost touch it with her fingertips.

She spots the toilet brush and uses it to extend her reach. She manages to pull her cellphone to her and dial 911.

“911, what is your emergency?”

“I need help.”

“What type of help do you need, Miss?”

“Paramedics.”

“The paramedics are on the way.” The dispatcher had the address on the screen where the call was coming from.

Lexi starts feeling weak as she tries to stay awake. She tries to keep pressure on her groin area. Just as she is about to pass out. She hears the paramedics as they enter the house.

The paramedics saw the bloody footprints on the carpet and follow them to the bathroom. They spotted a naked young girl. They saw she was bleeding from her groin area and they noticed, all the hair laying nearby. Someone had done a hack job on her hair.

They rush over and try to stop the bleeding. Lexi passes as the paramedics work on her. Once they stopped the bleeding. They put her in the back of the ambulance and head towards the hospital.

Howard was finishing up some paperwork when he gets a phone call from his neighbor. His neighbor informs him about the ambulance showing up at his house. He thanks his neighbor and tries to call Lexi, but his call goes straight to voice mail.

He tries calling his wife Rose. He wonders if Lexi had been hurt. He hopes his wife might know.

Rose was finishing up the last arrangement that needed to go out for delivery when her cellphone starts ringing. She pulls it out of her apron and looks at the number. She notices it was her husband’s number. She presses accept “hey honey, what can I do for you?”

“I just got a call from Mrs. Mouch. She said the paramedics just left our house. Have you heard from Lexi today?” Howard was walking towards his truck.

“I haven’t spoken to Lexi, since this morning. Have you tried calling Lexi?” Rose watches as the delivery driver leaves the shop.

“It goes straight to voice mail. I’m going to head to the hospital and see if she is there.”

“Alright, call and let me know what you find out.”

“I will sweetie.” Howard climbs into his truck.

“Okay, love you.” Rose was worried now.

“Love you too.” Howard ends the call.

Waiting Room, Rappahannock General Hospital, Kilmarnock, VA.
Rose and Howard sat in the waiting room waiting to hear from the emergency room doctor. Lexi had been rushed immediately into surgery because of her injuries. She has been in surgery for half an hour so far.

“Rose, Howard, are you guys okay?” Rachel comes walking into the waiting room with her daughter Athena holding onto her arm.

Mrs. Hudgins had called Rachel and informed her about what happened to Lexi. Rachel told her she would join them as soon as possible. She had gotten her daughter Athena ready and drove towards the hospital.

“We’re fine. It’s Lexi we’re worried about.” Rose was worried that the paramedics might have been too late.

“Do you know what happened to her?” Rachel sits down next to Rose, with her daughter next to her.

“All we know is she was brutally attacked. We think it was Shawn.” The description they got from their neighbor matched Shawn’s build.

“Your ex-employee?” Rachel memorized everyone that was involved with the case.

“Yes, why would he do something like this, I don’t know.” Howard couldn’t figure out why he would come after Lexi.

Athena was listening to the conversation going on between her mother and the Hudgins. She figures that Shawn must have found out that her mother had found the evidence they needed to convict him.

“Could he have found out that the police are after him?” Athena looks towards her mother.

“That is possible.”

“You found the evidence?” Howard and Rose look at Rachel.

“Yes ma’am. I had an associate of mine deliver the evidence to the police so they could be arrested.” Rachel was going to inform Rose and Howard of what she was doing.

“That means, he must have found out the police was out looking for him.” Howard knew the police knew where Shawn lived. He has been arrested several times before.

“Which means, he is going to be on the run.” Rachel pulls her cellphone out and sends a text message to Azura.

Besides being an expert hacker. She was also a hunter and tracker. She was good at locating people. Once Rachel was done sending the text.
She looks at her daughter “do you want anything, sweetie?”

Athena turns to face her mother’s voice “can I have a soda, please?”

“Sure, sweetie.” Rachel gets up and heads towards the soda machine to get Athena a soda.

Rose wonders what happened to Athena as she looks at her. She needed some sort of a distraction to get her mind off Lexi. She watches as
Rachel brings her daughter a soda and hands it to her, after opening it.

“Here you go, sweetie.” Rachel places the bottle of soda in Athena’s hand.

“Thanks, mom.” Athena wraps her hands around the can.

“You’re welcome, sweetie.” Rachel lets go of the can once she feels her daughter has it.

A few more hours go by before the doctor comes out to the waiting room. He looks at the Hudgins “Mr. And Mrs. Hudgins, we managed to stop the bleeding and repair some of the damage done to Lexi’s groin. She’s still in critical condition, but I’m positive she’ll pull through without any major problems. However, she’ll never be able to have kids.”

“She was never meant to be a male doctor. Is there enough of her penis left and foreskin to construct her a vagina?”

“Unfortunately, no. That type of surgery will have to wait until she is feeling better. When she has healed enough, we can go ahead give her the

“Can we see her, doctor?” Rose and Howard wanted to see Lexi.

“She’s still unconscious, but you can see her.” Dr. Austin saw that there was another woman there as well with a teenage girl.

Rose looks at Rachel “you don’t mind waiting, do you?”

“Not at all. Go and see how Lexi is. I’ll be right here.” Rachel was happy that Lexi was going to pull through.

Rose and Howard follow a nurse to the room that Lexi was taken to. The two of them were worried about her and wanted to see how she was.

“I’m glad Lexi is going to be alright, mom.” Athena had sat quietly and listened to the conversation.

“Me too, Athena. Me too.” Rachel was happy that Lexi was going to pull through.

“Mom, do you think the police or Azura will find Shawn first?” Athena didn’t know much about Azura, except she worked for her mother.

“That is a good question, Athena. This isn’t a big city or somewhere, where Azura might have a lot of contacts. Shawn could be on his way to
Fredericksburg, Va. or Richmond right now.” Rachel knew Azura was good at tracking people, but this was the country, not the city.

Azura’s Hotel Room:
Azura had just stepped out of the bathroom when she hears her cellphone buzz letting her know she had a text message. She picks it up and looks at the message. She notices it was sent from Rachel’s phone. It was in shorthand, but she knew what Rachel wanted her to do.

“An investigator’s job is never done.” She tosses her cellphone onto the bed and starts getting dressed.

She has some ideas about where Shawn might be. While researching him, she came across a few places he likes to visit and people he might associate with. Once she is dressed, she hacks the missing child alert system and puts out an amber alert with his picture, his description, and the vehicle he owns. He wasn’t the brightest bulb in the shed. So, he wouldn’t change cars.

Once she was done with that, she grabbed her car keys and goes out to find him.

Shawn was heading up seventeen when a state trooper pulls in behind him with his lights flashing. He thought he would be able to get away before the cops caught up to him. He tries to outrun the state troopers. He knew they wouldn’t try anything right away, except to chase him down.

He speeds down the highway as he tries to outrun them. He spots several police cars ahead of him blocking the highway. He starts to slow down because he knew he was caught. There was no way he was going to break through their roadblock.

Azura was out checking a few places when she hears over her police scanner that a person matching Shawn’s description had been spotted heading Northbound on seventeen towards Fredericksburg. Azura turns her car around and starts heading towards the location.

She kept listening to the police as they described Shawn trying to outrun them. They were herding him towards a roadblock that had been set up. A smile appears on Azura’s face when she hears that news.

It was too bad the state troopers found him first because she wanted to work the guy over for what he did to an innocent teenage girl. She spots at least four state troopers herding Shawn’s car towards a roadblock that had been set up. An evil smile appears on her face, as she pulls off the highway and onto the shoulder. She takes her camera out and records Shawn being arrested and him trying to explain his actions.

She continues to record everything as he is handcuffed and placed into a state troopers’ car. While the troopers are at it, they search his car and find the paintball gun that had been used to hurt Lexi.

They also find some leftover devices he used to set firebombs at the construction site. She made sure to record everything. She watches as the state trooper that had Shawn in his patrol car head off. One of the other troopers pulls Shawn’s car onto the side of the road and waits for a tow truck to come and tow it.

Azura follows the tow truck back to the lot. She wanted to see if there was anything else in it. She waits until the tow company closes before she breaks into the place. She activates a jammer she has had to conceal her movement. The device distorts the picture, so when you play the recording back. You can’t recognize the person in the recording.

She moves among the other cars and trucks until she gets to Shawn’s car. She starts searching it, looking for anything the police might have missed. She finds a hidden compartment and opens it. Inside was money and a few fake passports as well.

She finds a gym bag in another car and puts everything in it. Lexi could use to money for her surgery. As for the passports, she could use those. From what she could see with her flashlight, they looked professionally done.

She spends a few more minutes searching the car but doesn’t find anything else. She leaves the way she came and head towards Rachel’s hotel room. She’ll show Rachel what she found and give her the money, for Lexi.

A few weeks later:
Lexi was feeling high as a kite from the drugs the doctor gave her. She was doing better and would be allowed to go home in a few days.

“I hope they go to jail for life.” Lexi wanted her family to pay for what they did to her.

“Oh, by the time I get done with them, they will.” An evil smile appears on Rachel’s face.

Several Months Later:
Lexi looks out from the back porch of her aunt’s and Uncle’s place. She was finally out of the hospital and saw a counselor about the nightmares she was having from Shawn’s attack. She was cautious around the house, any time she was left alone at home.

Her uncle found a stray at the construction site and brought him home. He was just a puppy, but he looked so cute. His paws were big and according to her uncle, that meant he was going to be big. He looked to be a mixed breed, so there was no way to tell exactly what he was.

“Come here, Samson.” Lexi claps her hands together to get Samson’s attention.

She watches as Samson stops what he was doing and runs towards her. He was so awkward as he ran. Sometimes, he would trip over his big feet.

“That’s my good boy.” Lexi rubs his ears as he rests his head on her lap.

Rachel looks at Lexi sitting outside with Samson. She’s been keeping her eyes on Lexi as she recovers from her ordeal.

“I see Lexi is recovering.” Rachel looks at Rose and Howard.

“She’s doing better. Her counselor said she still has a rough road ahead of her. How is the case going against Shawn and my sister-in-law?” Rose was curious about that.

“Let’s just say, Shawn and your sister-in-law won’t be seeing the outside for a long time. The judge has given Shawn twenty years with no
parole for attacking Lexi, also, another thirty years for setting fire to your husband’s construction site. As for your sister-in-law, she’s only getting ten years, but the boys are getting thirty years for all the girls they raped. They will be eligible for parole in fifteen years.” Rachel wanted the boys to get more years, but the judge went soft on them.

“They should have gotten more years after all those girls they raped.” Rose saw the video that had been made of Lexi and several other girls.

“Oh, they are going to learn what it feels like in the prison they are going to.” Rachel had her mother pull a few strings. The boys will know what it's like to be treated the way they did the girls.

“Good.” Rose watches Lexi as she pets, Samson.

“Rose, I’ll be dropping by ever so often to check on Lexi and if you guys need anything as well. I’ll also keep you informed about the case as well.”

“Thank you, Rachel.” Rose looks at Rachel.

“You’re welcome.” Rachel walks out to her car.

As for Lexi, she starts going back to work with her uncle. She takes time out of her day to follow the doctor’s order. She carries on with her life and enjoys that she has her own vagina.
