While crying about my own and Cathy's mom, a funny thing happened. A happy, silly, little song started tripping around in my brain. I couldn't stop it, so I had to write it down. It didn't stop my tears but at least now I'm smiling. :)

Hugs,
Erin

Missing a Hug

I'm missing a hug.
Have you seen it?
It's about this big.
Have you got it?

It was round and warm
And big enough for two.
I know it's around somewhere --
I wanted to give it to you.

I never have any hugs
'Cause I give them all away
Even though everyone
Gave me a hug today --
I'm fresh out!

Give me a hug and
I'll have one to give to you.
I'll keep it safe and warm
Till you need it back.

I'm missing a hug.
Have you seen it?
It's about this big.
Have you got it?

It was round and warm
And big enough for two.
I know it's around somewhere --
I wanted to give it to you.

I just can't keep a hug
I give them all away
But if I had a hug
I'd give you one today --
You know I would!

Take a hug along
When you're going far away
That way we'll have one
To share when you get back.

I'm missing a hug.
Have you seen it?
It's about this big.
Have you got it?

It was round and warm
And big enough for two.
I know it's around somewhere --
I wanted to give it to you.
