Ring the Bell

(Author's note: No, this isnt the adventure story. Just a little snippet that came into my head today.)

A young man paces outside a house, arguing with himself.

Finally, He steps toward the house, takes a breath, and rings the bell.

A young woman answers, and says, “Hey! Long time no see.”

He replies, “Yeah, sorry about that. Needed to get my head together after all the ... changes.”

“I totally get that. I was kinda in the same place.”

“So ... we cool?”

“I’m cool if you are.”

“Oh, I’m very cool. I ... didn’t want to lose my best friend, no matter what.”

“You didn’t. I’m glad i didn’t lose my best friend too.”

“So, what are your plans for the day, best friend?”

“Just was gonna go to the mall.”

“Girls and shopping.”

The young woman giggles. “You ... wanna come? Just hang out?”

“Sure, I’ll come.”

“All that girly fashion stuff wont bother you?”

“Nah. I bet even though I’m a boy now I’ve still got a better fashion sense than you.”

“Oh, you’re on!”

End.
