I have been beaten, burnt and betrayed by Morgan Edison. His wealth and all the force of oil company s attacking me is just to much.

This is purley fiction.
They are fabricated journals from my imagination.
The only truth in this is the man Nikola Tesla and how far ahead of his time he was. A man who had his theorys laughed at by scientists, but many years (60ish) later those theorys were found to be true. He was said to have traveled in time? With some of the stuff it turns out he developed you never know?

----------------------------------------------

journal entry 3005
After my final big defeat, I give up. Through out my life and career I have developed hundreds of revolutionary ideas but few are used publicly.
I have been beaten, burnt and betrayed by Morgan Edison. His wealth and all the force of oil company s attacking me is just to much.
So from here on out I shall endeavour to create my ideas in hopes my friends will bring them to light in the future. But I shall patent many and carry on my hopeless struggle to help humanity.

journal entry 80078
I knew all of this and more after the successful attempt with that time machine. Such a shame it will be over 80 years from now when finally my successor will find my research. But alas peoples greed blinds them.

If you are reading this then my sight of being poisoned came to pass.

I have built prototypes for all my ideas and have catalogued them here in my journals. The time machine was destroyed to build a rejuvenating machine. Shame I never had the time to use it but you'll excel and help build a better world. But this is how it must be.

The owner of these buildings is my friends great granddaughter, you must show her the book now.

Hello Gwen

Your father told you many storeys as a child and now you will see that your great grandfather and I were like brothers. Alas I must also thank you for never selling the land even when times were hard.

Now.
We created three keys that you must find before being able to access the underground labs.
1-will be in the mechanical workings of power.
2-will be in my ashes as your great grandfather promised.
3-is in a story sung for young children when the knight arrives.

The two of you must work together, once you retrieve the three assemble where you stand now.

God speed
Nikola Tesla.

I stood up and walked away in the knowledge that my life has helped many and my tales will inspire more even with history altered for the victor.

I was in my hotel, waiting until my visit with the president about a new energy supply. My food had just been served and with great hesitancy, I ate.
I tear ran down my face as I lay slowly back on the bed. My fears that have been haunting me, gone with the knowledge that my end was here.

"07/10/1856 -01/07/1943 Nikola Tesla"

I was lying on my bed sobbing uncontrollably. My life seamed like a big joke and every time I though things couldn’t get any worse, they got worse. You see I'm an unattractive 22 year old woman, with dark brown curly/frizzy hair, blue eyes and just dropped out of uni because of finances. Now I can live with that as it happens to many, but I lost my father, found out I'm infertile and had my boyfriend leave me.

I'm a nothing, going nowhere and can't see any point in carrying on. I have suffered with depression and self harm half my life but I just don't want to carry on. All I have is a bit of land and a run down block of flats that my father left me. But even that is never to be sold and kept in the family.
What family, I can't have children any way and if I did the debt I'm in we would all be living on the street. Once my dad died the government wanted their inheritance tax and for the size of our building it was a lot. No chance of paying it without selling up and in my fathers will it says to never sell the building so I'm stuffed.
Every option seems like a wrong choice but suicide.

I stand up with my vision blurred as I slowly make my way to the roof. I just think of how greedy the government always are and how their greed must have lead to so many people in my position now.
Half way up the staircase I collapse in tears against the wall.

I can't even kill myself right, as my body is just to unfit to get to the top of a building. I punch the railings as hard as I could with only a result of more pain. But I persist and drag myself the rest of the way.

I had made it to the roof and with blurred vision from all the tears I couldn't even see the beautiful view. I staggered over near to the edge when I heard.

"Excuse me" a deep male voice said

I turned around to see an older man in his 60s with most of his face twisted in scaring. It was hard not to flinch but I managed it. I had known Mr. Jones most of my life but rarely saw him as he was a bit of a hermit. My father always spoke highly of him but I couldn't talk to him without staring so mostly just avoided him as he did everyone.

"Yes, how may I help you Mr. Jones" I said as he limped slowly towards me.

I was minding my business, tinkering with my toys when I hears the sounds of crying. I dismissed it until I heard a slight bang with consistent sobbing, I grew concerned so slowly made my way to the door. My bod punished me for my movements but I persisted.
Opening the doors I saw young Gwen slowly walking up the stairs. Me and her father had talked about her depression in the past. I grew quite concerned with the direction she was headed and followed as quickly as possible. I would have shouted but my voice is strained at normal speech levels.

Upon reaching the roof I said "Excuse me" in a soft but firm voice as I slowly made my way over to her.

Young Gwen turned "Yes, how may I help you Mr. Jones" she said but I could hear the hurt and pain behind the words.

"Gwen could you be a dear and help me back down to my apartment please. My body is aching all over and I think we could have a chat over a nice cup of tea whilst sitting down, what do you think" I said

With a small smile of sadness Gwen took my arm as we made our way over to the stairwell.

With all the pain I felt in my body I could see pain lurking behind Gwen s eyes, every time she turned to smile, as she guided me down the stairs.

Upon entering my flat I was in sheer agony but turned around quickly when Gwen gasped.
"What’s wrong my dear" I asked with concern, as I followed her stare to my toys.

"They are beautiful but you must waste so many batteries operating them" I smiled as her mood seemed to lift at the spectacle of all my magnetic powered toys swirling and spinning around.

"No batteries just magnets, most are toys except for that one over their I made into a generator for my power" I said pointing to what looked like an electric motor with lots of wires running to a mound of boxes.

"But it can't, I know you have always paid my dad for electric" Gwen said giving me a accusing look. I felt like laughing at the way the topic had changed and me being accused but I was happy that her mood had lightened.

"I'll explain all. But could you make the tea while I get some pain medication please" I said as my pain was becoming unbearable

"Oh of course" Gwen said as she quickly disappeared into the kitchen and I sat down and retrieved the medication out of a draw.

5 minutes later Gwen returned with two cups of tea. Placing one on the side next to me she said “I made you a milk no sugar, but if you want it changing just say”

“Thank you Gwen that is great” I said but as I was about to approach the subject of her emotional well-being she spoke first.

“So why do you pay for electric if you make your own?” Gwen said as she took a great curiosity in my little generator.

“Well part of my payments form the MOD are to help towards my accommodation, so naturally I wanted to give a large chunk of that to your father. He was always struggling to keep this place and would never take any sort of loan encase they tried to posses the property.” I said as the long talks we used to have played through my head.

“I miss him so much....... I don't know what to do any more..........” Gwen said as she burst into tears. I knew loss and was so envious of people who could display, I had lost so many men over my 30 years serving sometimes I wish I could let others see. I have walked into my friends homes to tell their family that they would never see their brother, son or husband again. But never would I show emotion and over time it eats you up.
Gwen wrapped her arms around me as she lost herself in grief, so I wrapped my arms around her and would wait.

Gwen cried until sleep claimed her and my shirt was soaked. I lay her slowly on the sofa, ignoring the pain from my body as I tried to be gentle.
Once she was positioned comfortably I went to retrieve a blanket.

I lay the blanket on Gwen and then returned to a seat across the way. She had gone from looking like a young woman to a fragile child in such a short time. I was starting to worry about her health and knew that besides her boyfriend, she had no one now so would have to look out for her.

This is just a small start (My last attempt of writing a virus wiped out my computer so now I won't be writing ahead by 30k but just post around 6k)

Nikola Tesla is a real person and the start of the book is theorys only. A little history about the man = http://fuel-efficient-vehicles.org/energy-news/?page_id=980

That site is good if you are into renewable power that you want to build yourself as well.

Now TG related themes will be about 8-10k in so please be patient.

I'm awfull at spelling and grammer so please don't point out every little detail wrong.

Gwen

James has obviously been struggling more and more recently. I have heard a few whispers of what transpired, for him to be in such a decrepit state. The agony he suffers every single day is astounding. If our positions were reversed I probably would have ended it a long time ago. I was thinking as I took the weird metallic balls down to the basement door.

After dropping the items off for James, I headed over to collect my post. The flats had a large square box with many clear doors with a slot in for our postman to divide the flats up easier. I took out all the pink and red envelopes with a sense of dread. Then used the master key to get James mail. At least he didn't have any red envelopes but there was one marked from the hospital?.

After I had opened all my mail and viewed the large sums of money I owed the government for unpaid tax and one was even a threat of taking me to court if I didn’t pay. I made the dinner and headed up to James flat with his mail.

I knocked on the door slightly as I entered, but he was still lightly snoring on the sofa. I had to clear the table a bit as I laid down the food. I had made creamy potatoes and salmon for main then a fudge cake out of the box for desert. The smell alone managed to stir James from his slumber as I heard.

“Gwen is that you” James called out in a soft groan.

“No it's your friendly bugler who likes to cook” I replied with a hint of sarcasm.

“Young lady that is enough with that attitude or you'll go to bed with no food” James said as he walked to the table with a large grin on his face, then carried on to say “and I'll eat your food to as it smells so good”

I handed his envelopes over as we began to eat. He took a quick look and the smile that was across his face a second ago vanished as he stopped eating to open a letter. I casually watched his face as I ate and he read. I could tell it was unwelcome news but as soon as he looked back at me he started to smile once again.

“Well Gwen you have truly out done your self on this wonderful meal. Thank you” James said

“Thanks I made all of it fresh besides the pudding” I said thinking how James reminded me of my dad, no wonder they got along. Both with the same bad humour and the way they always have to complement my cooking even if it does embarrass me.

After finishing the meal I collected the dishes on a tray and I headed to my room to dispose of the tray while James headed to the basement.

I was curious as to how the door was locked but those things were beyond my grasp of comprehension. So I busied myself on the task of cleaning up until there was a thunderous bang and when I say that I mean it actually sounded like thunder going off in the building.
I ran as fast as my legs could take me to get to James and find out if he was O.K.

When I arrived James was standing there with a shocked expression on his face as a half blown up door was scorched and dangled by a single hinge.

“What the fuck” I said in equal disbelief to James expression.

“Well I didn't expect that” The scaring on his face stretched as a large smile spread on his face after his little comment and followed with a wheezed laughter.

Next to James was two mounds of metal as the balls I had brought down had melted and my skin tingled all over.
I looked through the half hanging door to see another mound of metal melted on the other side on a stand above a stair case.

“Give it seven minutes before we try walking down” James said as his expression became serious and he pulled me back.

“Why seven minutes” I asked

“Well that tingling sensation in your body is excess power all around. If we go down there and there is an object holing that power then it would be like walking under a lightning bolt” James said

“OK. So what happened?” I asked

“I'm only guessing but the device I was using and whatever was on the other side of the door reacted in such a way the build up of radiant energy destroyed all the units. But that's a guess as I only finished building them the other day and haven't had a chance to try them until now” James said in such a way he sounded confused but thought I would understand.

We waited a bit longer in silence until it was safe. Then James walked through the door opening.

James

I had just witnessed something I couldn’t understand. There were flashes of white light jumping from the door to my generators and back. Both built with intensity as I hurried back to a safer area as the door exploded and both my generators melted. I could feel painful tingling across my body as the light show went on so the voltage that was produced must have been astronomical.

I was slightly frightened but in a way happy. I had received a letter earlier that told me my body was slowly shutting down and in the next couple of weeks I would likely be dead. I was in a secret operation 17 years ago where we tried to save millions of lives from a nuclear bomb in London. Things had gone bad as the terrorist had worn an explosive vest. If the nuclear bomb was hit by the blast it would have exploded. In a split second reaction I threw myself over the bomb as the guys vest exploded. I woke up months later with 75% burns on my outside and much internal damage. I was told I probably wouldn’t last the year as my rare blood (AB neg) type stopped me getting spare organs.
One other thing that day was I was actually XXXXY so I had 49 chroma-zones which was quite surprising as most people according to the doctor, suffered when having this condition from some mental problems. I wanted to joke about I was suffering but I couldn't talk at the time.

So now I had nothing to lose anyway and this could be some big discovery. But I didn't want Gwen to get hurt so before heading down I said

“Gwen you stay here and I'll go down first. If anything happens don't come down, I'll come back up if it's safe OK”

“OK just be careful” Gwen said as her face displayed several emotions at once.

I just smiled as I forced my aching body down the stairs.
I was quite shocked at the fact the room was empty, nothing but a stool with a book on it. All the walls were bare brick and the floor was all concrete besides a large circle of brick surrounding the book.
I knew it might be some sort of trap but I walked straight up to the book and picked it up, but nothing. I moved the stool, there was still nothing so I proceeded to carry the book out and back up to Gwen. I was expecting a giant ball of stone to come after me of something but nothing happened, I guess watching to many films gets your mind paranoid.

“Gwen, Gwen.....” I called out as I approached the top of the stairs.

“Yes, are you OK” She asked with a voice full of concern.

“Yes, I'm fine but there was nothing besides this book and a stool down there” I said as I waved the book.

“Well do you want to read the book in my apartments?” Gwen asked with a bit of confusion.

“Yes, closer the better. My body feels a bit weary but my mind is worse” I said as I had trouble understanding all this and a constant burning in my joints wasn’t helping.

After arriving at we sat down and read the leather bound book. Wow some of the inventions in there were mind boggling. It had been one of Nikola Tesla's journals and his inventions and instructions for how to use. There was also building plans for some of the ideas and wow if we had them now. He had designed machines that run off dark matter.

I felt like the I was a Neanderthal reading the specifications to building a plane. But these were more than designs as the last invention stated how he had used it and test subjects who had been 60-80 years old and returning to 11-15 with an improved mind and healing. One was said to have even changed genders.

After reading the final entry I looked up into Gwen s eyes who had been reading along side me. He knew Gwen and had given us instructions? How in the world is that possible. I knew he said time machine but I thought it was some sort of delusion. Gwen interrupted me from my thoughts saying

“I know the last one”

“What?” I dumbly replied

“Well my Mum and Dad used to sing to me from an old leather book about a knight arriving to rescue a damsel” Gwen said as she quickly got up and ran to a book shelf.

Once Gwen returned we looked at the book. Once you looked hard enough you could sea a slight outline on the back cover of the book. Gwen ran her nail over the paper a few times to reveal an object underneath. She then used her nail to break the paper and pulled out a small metal object.

It was a light and dark silver pattern with a button on the top and a hole at the base. I would presume it to be some sort of triangle with a hole in the centre.

“Well Gwen if the Power is related with that old magnetic generator you have then the first two items are here but what about the third?” I said as the old generator seemed to be the most likely area referring to power in the building.

“Oh ye I never thought of the generator. But I can look on the net for the ashes” Gwen said full of energy as she jumped up off the chair and ran out.
I slowly followed her as I guessed where she might be headed.

Once I arrived at the generator room Gwen was stood there looking confused.

“There's no off switch” Gwen said in a sad little girls voice, I almost laughed at her immaturity.

“Well this is run by five magnets all the way around the main wheel, so if we take them out then it will stop” I said as Gwen jumped forwards to a small tube in the side of the generator.

Slowly and what looked like great difficulty she removed five slightly rounded lengths of magnets from their slots.

After about 10minutes the generator had stopped. Gwen looked all over the magnetic propulsion part but found nothing. I slowly made my way over to the actual generator and took a closer look at the cogs. In the main cog there was three areas of detail which looked like three of our found piece from the book. I gave each one a shove but only the second one moved slightly.

After half an hour of effort we finally prized it free. Gwen squealed with joy as I just shook my head she said

“What....?”

“You” I said with a grin

“What about me?Hmmm...” Gwen said looking as though I had insulted her.

“Nothing much just your immaturity” I said as she lightly slapped my arm.

“Well women get to express their emotions immaturely. It's better than being a grumpy man who can't show emotion” Gwen said as she pulled a tong at me.

I slapped my forhead as a said back to her “Gwen remember to put those magnets back or no one will have power” I slowly walked away to Gwen s mumbling in the background.

Gwen

After such an exciting day last week, things settled down again. James told me he would get the third piece but he's only been here and helped me finish a few things.

After another break down over bills James offered me a deal. He had been saving all his life for retirement off a good wage and with a bit of investment James said he could pay all my bills. After some long arguments I agreed as long as I got to pay him back as soon as I was able to.

We have had nine new residents move in on one year contract. There would have been more but unfortunately they were repulsive people who I wouldn’t let any where near the building again. Most seem a bit shocked that all the roads near by are private so parking in easy and the fat all the electric is paid in their monthly amount.

The shopping has arrived so I'm just on my way down to collect it and might even grab the mail as well. You see as a few of the older people living here are slightly immobile I make sure that on my weekly order I ask all the long term residence if they would like me to order for them as well. Most of the time they have their needs covered but some, who can't order themselves will have a basic list for me.

I open the door for the delivery driver. Wow this is the first time I've seen this one but I do hope it wont be the last. Even in his standard uniform you can see his muscles bulge to make the fabric on the sleeves strain to almost breaking point and the veins on his arms swelled up.
Well any way he puts all the crates in the hall and takes the last load of crates back from the last delivery.

“Hi, as you can see there's two changes. If you don't like these I will take them back and you'll be refunded” He says as though reading a script.

I had to laugh at one of the changes made as they had swapped a pack of Christmas cards for a pack of children’s trading cards?

“Well that change is fine but the other is a joke” I said as I knelt down to find the cards. The delivery guy took a quick look at the item mentioned.

“I don't know what the packers think some times with these changes” He said is a soft but throaty laugh.

“I know, but bet you have seen your fair share of mistakes” I said as I found the pack of cards and handed them to him.

“I have had this job under a week and already I have seen a few bad ones. Could you sign there please” He said as I was handed what looked like a chunky mobile with a touch screen and a plastic pen.

I signed and handed the machine back to him “Thank you, I hope you have a nice day now” He said before disappearing.

There was three stacks of five crates in front of me so I spread them out and started dividing the items for the intended apartment.
After a good 15 minutes I had each pile sorted and that apartment mail on top to mark the destination.

After moving nine crates into my room and six of the crates into the lift my little arms were aching and I was now sweating so much that my blouse had damp spots on it.

I had just taken a quick shower and changed into a fresh set of clothes. I decided to take a quick nap as I was exhausted. As I lay my across my bed my mind was spiralling out of control with the odd things that had happened and what it all meant.

The main buzzer for the outer door rang as I decided to get up. Even with my eyes closed and feeling tired my mind was just to hyperactive to get even a moment of sleep. So I made my way over to the main door in a lethargic manner.

I panicked at the sight of a large group of rough looking men. Some in their mid thirties and others around sixty. Just the harshness of their cold gaze sent shivers all over me as I touched the intercom.

“Hi how may I help you” I asked, trying to stop the trembling enter my voice.

They pressed the intercom on their side, in the background I could hear sexual references and then a harsh “Quiet you lot. Hi, we have come to see JJ”

I felt a ray of hope as I didn't recognise the name “Sorry no one called JJ lives here” I replied with a bit to much enthusiasm.

“This is the address he gave us. His full name is James Jones” The man said with a hopeful tone as my heart just dropped.

“Yes James lives here, I'll call him now” I said as I leaned over to the building phone. Pressing his apartment number and enter it started to ring.

“Hello” I heard a soft reply

“Hi James it's Gwen, there's a large group of men outside. They say you know them” I said in hope they could finely be told to leave.

“They are hear all ready. Please let them in Gwen and tell them my apartment number. Thanks and hopefully soon we can answer our little riddle” James said happily as he hung up the phone.

I instinctively swallowed as as I opened the door.

The large guy I had been speaking to walked in first with an air of confidence about him. He extended his hand and said.

“Hello I'm Field Marshal Morgan” He said, I knew field marshal was an officer in the army but that was all.

“Uhm Hi I'm Gwen” I said as I shook his hand.

“Nice to meet you Gwen, we are sorry for startling you but we are just here to see the Major” he said as I tried to think of who he was talking about. Once it clicked I felt stupid for never knowing but I was never told either. I decided to show them up to his room.

“James is in his apartment, I'll take you there now” I said as he smiled.

The whole troop of men behind followed as I walked up the stairs knowing they couldn’t all fit in the lift.

As I approached the apartment floor, James was standing out side with a large smile on his face. All the men behind started to pass me as one after the other greeted James with a hug and a pat on the back.
James thanked me for showing them up and I got thanks off a couple of the men as I walked back down the stairs. They actually seemed quite nice now, but I couldn't understand the reason they were all dressed and looking rough.

Never mind I suppose I'll ask James later if he's up to it.

James

I just had everyone who was left from my old special opps company come and see me after securing a gift. After the incident 17years ago each had been fast tracked through the officers ranks. I was surprised by all the high ranks and even the lads who weren’t officers are now captains and majors themselves.

We joked around for quite a while like the good old days before I eventually told them of the other reason I wanted them here. I explained to them about the deterioration of my organs and my limited time remaining. Within an instant the room went silent, and the once party atmosphere disappeared.

Some of the men were talking about retirement them selves. But the tone was morbid after my confession until the younger lads decided this might as well be a celebration to me and turned up the tunes. I even explained to some of my most trusted friends among the group about the keys. After all they had just broken into a museum thousands of miles away to rummage through a man’s ashes to retrieve one.

A group of the younger lads and a few older ones said their fair-wells until there was only six of us left. I had a hard time as the men said their final good byes as they left knowing this would be the last time they would see me alive.
I offered every one a blanket on the floor when Gwen knocked and came in.
She offered them all a bed in the spare apartments on the condition they clean up after them selves, which every one agreed to.

The next morning I heard a knock on the door.

“Come in it's not locked” I said loud enough as Gwen walked in.

“I didn't want to ask last night as you were so tired but why did all those military men come here to see you” She asked

I reached around and produced the third key “They brought this for us” I showed Gwen as her shocked expression said everything. I still hadn't had the courage to tell her I wasn’t long for this world. But kept a cheerful expression as her excitement overcame her. Here in front of me now is a 22year old woman jumping up and down squealing. I just slowly swept my hand down my face as she stopped and rolled her eyes.

“So shall we go and put them together in the basement?” I said as a big grin spread across Gwens face.

“I'll get the other two and meet you their” Gwen said as she moved quickly towards the door then stopped.

“What about those five men that were here last night?” Gwen asked

“What about them” I asked confused. I would be surprised that she might want them down there.

“Well what do we tell them if they are trying to find you?” She said as I understood what she meant.

“Oh those five are the only people I would trust in the world about this. I told them last night and they said if we need any help just ask” I said hoping she wouldn’t feel upset about it.

“OK” she said a bit upset “Well do you want any of them their” she asked.

“Well no ones up besides us so lets go and we might tell them later if that's OK with you” I said

“OK it's just I was having so much fun with this adventure. It was like the films and I never really thought of any one else being involved besides the two of us” Gwen said as a reason why she had become upset but her mood soon rose again “Well lets go” she said and ran out.

I heard a loud noise as I approached the door. I looked out to see Gwen had run into Dave Fields, he had been with me through some of the worst times of my life but it still amuses me to see him blush.

“Dave I see you have met Gwen” I said cheerfully, by this time Gwens cheeks had turned a nice rose colour as well.

“Uhm yes....”he said as Gwen interrupted him “....Sorry about that” as he cut across her “It's my fault, so I'm sorry”

“OK shall we go and see if this key thing really works” I ask with a laugh, putting their awkward mumbling to a stop.

“Could I tag along? It sounded intriguing last night” Dave said

After a little nod off Gwen I said “Sure follow us down. Gwen will meet us their”

With that we made our way down to see if there was anything to this little adventure.

I had just sat on the stool in the basement to relieve my aching as Dave gave me a concerned look.

To stop the concerned look I decided to start a conversation and asked “so what do you think of the apartments”

“Well after having a look last night we had a little meeting and a few of us wanted to ask Gwen about the cost of renting one. Just the views are so nice and the area is untouched like most places, also with wanting to retire it just clicks, you know” Dave said as I was a bit shocked. But this could help Gwen as well so I thought I would try to convince him.

“Well Gwen owns all the land around here so it is unlikely to ever change. Then you have a reasonable rent that includes all your electric” I said in almost a sales pitch. I knew that when I die Dave would help Gwen with her grief after all the soldiers we have seen with PTSD he would understand better than most.

Just then Gwens quick footsteps were heard coming down the stairs.

“I've got them” She said as she made her way towards me “There you can figure out how the go together”

As Gwen passed the two other pieces to me there was suddenly a tingling feeling over my body. I shouted

“RUN. Get out of here now” and with that the brick circle surrounding us flew to pieces as large metal bars shot into the ceiling.

Dave jumped on-top of Gwen as bits of rubble fell over us.
The objects in my hand pulled free and floated loosely in the air attaching them selves. In a sudden motion once they became a single object, it flew over to a second set of smaller bars that had moved up.

Once it made contact their was a sound that equalled that of a bomb. The entire room shook as more debris fell. I could feel blood pouring from cuts across my body and see Dave with a few cuts himself as he protected Gwen.

My life is almost over but I pray that those two will make it out alive.

Thanks for reading. Soon it will pick up a bit :)
