Dorothy is rather insistent that I publish this part right now even though WE, yes you too Dottie, are still working on the whole story and it will not be ready for quite some time.

Mother DiMaggio has also given her consent to this project and may contribute from time to time if we are being bad girls.

From the journal of Dr. Adam Saintclair phd gid specialist.

My next appointments are with a rather interesting group of individuals brought together by circumstance and I believe will help each other through their respective problems.

First we have Ms. Andrea Lena DiMaggio 40+ post operative transsexual. This kind woman has taken into her home two young transgendered girls. Andrea herself has issues around her perceived abandonment of her previous family. Although she has not realized it, being the legal guardian of these two girls has helped her to overcome many of the problems she was previously experiencing with her perceived abandonment.

Subject has become more open and stable with the care of these two previously abused children. This has been the best therapy for her and has allowed the woman who once came to me afraid to show how much of a girl she was even though she had completed transition.

Subject now commonly sees me on a quarterly basis usually in a nice dress and makeup.

Her two charges are also patients of mine.

There is Dorothy whose previous name was Todd. Dorothy mother was a poor individual struggling to take care of her two children after the sudden death of their father. Although she does care deeply for both her children she was becoming overwhelmed with work and then to try to take care of her two boys one of whom turned out to be more of a girl than a boy became excessive and she broke down.

She had brought then Todd to a psychiatrist for help to overcome the loss of the father and to make head roads on the gender issues she could not help with. The psychiatrist then sought to treat Todd's gender disphoria with an inversion method that quickly became actual sexual abuse on the psychiatrist part. The now former psychiatrist was caught and charged in due course.

Dorothy was then placed into the care of child services who brought her to Andrea. Andrea immediately recognized the child for who and what she is. After much discussion with the mother and then Todd she was brought into to see me. It took me many sessions to get this restrained child to open up enough to trust me. In many ways this child is very much a girl but is restraining herself from being a girl because she got sexual abused because of it.

Dorothy has slowly been coming out of her self imposed shell and has amazingly been signed to a private girls only school. She is very shy, emotional, and has no self confidence in being a girl. Although the individual would not be passable as a male she does on occasion try anyways. Her usual mode of dress is pants and sweater or tshirt. While obviously feminine clothing she feels safer than in wearing a dress or skirt.

A newer addition to this family is young Jacilynn. Former name is protected by confidentially at clients request.

Young Jacilynn is a girl who's parents could not accept her as a girl and mentally abused her to be a boy instead. It is quite shocking to see this child as she believes that if she tries just a little harder she can be the boy her parents want and they will love her.

It is my opinion that this is not possible. Jacilynn has developed an extreme aversion to male clothing. I doubt very much if she will ever be able to wear pants of any type with ease. She however keeps trying to be a boy. I believe that until such a time has passed that she can realize that she is and can only be female she will continue to do so.

I have not had many sessions with this child as of yet so at this point it is mostly just impressions.

As a whole however each of these three help the others overcome their personal issues and grow as a whole.

Jacilynn and Dorothy, as they both insist and prefer to be called, are enrolled into the girls academy and are to start school. Both as girls, sisters even although for Jacilynn it will be her first year there while Dorothy is in her second year. Dorothy had to withdrawal a few times last term and has to repeat that term.

--SEPARATOR--

"Jacilynn honey its safe here you can come inside."

"Dorothy you may not have cola. You can have a juice from the machine and that's it young lady"

"Sorry about that. I'm Andrea DiMaggio, this is Dorothy and Jacilynn, we have an appointment to see, DOROTHY I SAID NO COLA! Sorry, Dr. Saintclair at 3:30 4:00 and 4:30 respectively." said the older grey haired lady holding on the to young red haired girl while the other blonde girl at the drink machine was holding her hands to her eyes, the cola still in the vending machine.

Dottie’s session (A Jaci and Dottie story)

Dr. Adam Saintclair sat the young girl down and once again winced at the fact she flinched when he came too close.

“What in God’s name did that bastard do to this girl?” He thought.

“So, Dorothy. How are you doing?” He said to the little girl.

“I’m okay” she said, looking at the ground, obviously trying and failing to hold in shakes.

“Normally, I’d close the door so you and I can talk privately ...” Again he winced at the look of fear she showed at this “But for now, I’ll leave it open, and your tante Andrea is just outside, okay?”

“Kay”

“How are things doing with Andrea, Dorothy? You happy there?”

“She’s nice. I miss my mom sometimes, though.”

“Well, you know you can see her anytime, right? She just wants you safe.”

“Uh huh.”

“And now you have Jaci in the house too, isnt that nice?”

“Yeah. It’s nice to have a sister. Even if she sometimes pretends to be a boy.”

“That’s good. She was badly hurt, Dorothy. It might take her some time to feel safe again.”

“I know.”

“Andrea says you’re in a girls school now, how does that feel.”

“Its okay, I guess.”

“But she says you dont like wearing the skirt, is that right? Why?”

“Not supposed to wear skirts. I’m a boy.”

“Is that how you feel ? Like a boy?”
“I dont know. Sometimes, I wanna be a boy. Sometimes I wanna be a girl. I get all confused.”

“What does being a boy mean to you?”

“Boys dont get hurt. Boys dont ... do ... things... with other boys.”

“Like the things you did?”

The little girl just nods, and weeps.

“You didnt want to do them, did you? He ... made you didnt he?”

“It was still my fault. If I hadnt been wearing mom’s dress he wouldn't have to ... help me.”

“Dorothy, I need you listen carefully. Can you do that?”

The little girl nods.

“ He was a ... bad man. What he did was wrong. He went to jail for it.You didnt do anything wrong.”

“That’s what Tante ‘Drea says.”

“She’s right. And what about being a girl?”

“I ... I dont know. I ... feel better when I’m dressed like a girl. More .. me, more real. Sometimes, I think I’m crazy.”

“Dorothy, I dont think you’re crazy. If you feel more right as a girl, then that’s who you should be. Its ... good to be yourself.”

“But I’m scared! The other girls at the school they’re real, they’re getting breasts and everything! I’m ... just a freak. I’ll never be like them.”

“Do they call you a freak?” Who calls you a freak?”

“HE did. HE told me I was a sissy, too.”

“But he was a bad man. So why listen to what a bad man says?”

Dorothy said nothing, and just looked at her shoes.

“Just think about it, and maybe try the uniform, okay? I’m sure if you do you’ll find the other girls very supportive.”

“... Kay.”

“Okay. Now, you go, and tell your new sister its her turn to talk to me.”

“You ... wont hurt her, will you? She’s been hurt enough, I think.”

“I wont hurt her, or you, or anyone. Promise.”

“I ... I think you’re okay. You’re not like HIm, are you?”

“No.”

The little girl shakingly took his hand, and gave it a quick squeeze. Then she skipped out, and he could hear her say, “Tante ‘Drea, its Jaci’s turn.”

Kid Logic (A Jaci and Dottie story)

“Grow!”

“Come on, grow already!”

Andrea moved quickly to the bedroom of her “niece”, where the shouting was coming from.

“Pretty please with sugar on it, grow!”

‘Drea knocked on the open door, and then peeked inside. There was Dorothy (Or Dottie, as she was sometimes called), with her shirt off, apparently shouting at her chest.

“Tante?” the girl said.

“Hey, Dottie. What’s the shouting about?”

“I’m trying to get my breasts to grow.”

“By yelling at them?”

“Well, I heard it works for plants, so I figured, why not?”

“Well, for one thing, our neighbors probably could do without you shouting.”

“Sorry, Tante.”

“Its okay. But why are you trying to make them grow faster?”

“Cause all the other girls in my class have breasts now. I’m the only one without them. And I dont want to stand out. I do that enough thanks to having that ... thing between my legs.”

“Sweetie, we’ve talked about this. The doctor has agreed to put you on a male hormone blocker, but you’re still too young for female hormones.”

“But why? Why do I have to be the only girl without real breasts?”

“Because we need to be careful about what we do to your body dear. We make an oops, and you could get very sick or worse.”

“Just like I cant get the surgery till I’m eighteen, right?”

“Right hon. I know its hard to wait, but you have to be patient.”

“I.... I’ll try Tante. I love you.”

“:Love you too, little Dottie. Now, finish getting dressed, And dont forget your training bra.”

“But I dont have any breasts, Tante!”

“Consider it practice for when you do, hon.”

“Kay, Tante.” The girl gave Andrea a hug, and then went to her dresser. ‘Drea turned, and went back downstairs to finish making breakfast, shaking her head.

“Shouting at her breasts to make them grow. Well, that’s a new one.” She said to herself. She knew that Dorothy was almost frighteningly intelligent, but she had very little focus, and more imagination than any ten regular kids. Keeping her on track was not easy, and now ‘Drea also had another charge to worry about - little Jaci.

While both girls had been abused in frightening ways, Jaci seemed to not coming back as fast as Dorothy was.

Having finished pouring cereal and milk for both girls, she decided she better check on Jaci, who was being just a bit too quiet for her liking ....

“If its not Dottie, its Jaci. Wonder what mischief Jaci is getting into now ....”

Warm Milk, A Jaci and Dottie Story

‘Drea DiMaggio put on her nightie, and was just about to head to bed when there was a soft knock at the door. Putting on a robe, she went to the door, and saw little Dottie standing there, in her favorite nightie, which had a picture of Tinkerbell on it.

“Dorothy? What is it sweetie. Nightmares, again?”

“No, Tante. Its... Can I talk to you?”

“Sure hon, come in, sit on the bed.”

“Kay.”

“So what’s on your mind, sweetie?”

“I’m worried about Jaci, Tante. She’s ... when she first came, I thought the pretending to be a boy was funny, but its more serious, isnt it? Is she like me, only the other way? A boy brain and a girl body?”

“I dont think so, sweetie. Its just ... you know you you got hurt for wanting to be a girl, right?”

“Yeah?”

“Its like that for her too. Her parents wanted her to be a boy, and they hurt her trying to make her into one.”

“I remember you telling me that, but why isnt she getting better? I’m getting better, arent I?”

“You are hon, but Jaci isnt ready to face it just yet. Its pretty scary, as you know.”

“I know, Tante. I just dont want her sad, and trying to be a boy is just ... to hard for her, I mean, she’s more girl than me! She’s got breasts, and a period, and everything! And she never wears pants or acts like a boy, except when she remembers she’s supposed to.”

“I know hon. We just have to be patient with her, and love her, and when she realizes she’s safe, she’ll be happy to be her, just like you are now happy to be you.”

“Sometimes, anyway, Tante. Sometimes, I still get scared, especially around boys.”

“Yes, but you’ve come a long way in a short time. You should be patient with you, too.”

“I’ll try, Tante. And thanks.”

“For what sweetie.”

“Helping me. Letting me be a girl. Making things ... safe for me. Loving me.”

“Loving you is easy, sweetie. You may not know it, but you’re very lovable.”

“Tante!”

“Its true. Now, how about a glass of warm milk and go back to bed?”

“Kay Tante.”

Later, with Dorothy safely snuggled into bed, Andrea took a peek at her other charge, who was seemingly asleep, and sighed.

“Funny how life changes. After my transition, I thought I would be alone for the rest of my life. Now, I’m “Tante ‘Drea” to two small, wounded girls, who would have seen that coming?”

“Just goes to show, I guess.” She thought, and then went to have a little bit of warm milk herself before dropping off to sleep.

Okay fine here Dorothy. Here is the little story you been bugging me to write all week! Hope your happy!

WARNING this may require tissue.

The chairs were old. These were not the newer soft chairs that the regular waiting room had with their comfy cushions but the old chairs dark, hard not a plastic but not a wood either type with silly chrome legs. Her thighs were already stuck to it where they stuck out from under her denim skirt.

Jaci knew that it was wrong to wear a skirt but the red tank top and blue denim skirt with its lace at the pockets was her favorite and most comfy outfit. She had debated on wearing a paisley summer dress but she didn't want to show her bra straps.

That bra. It was a plain white 32A bra with a tiny little bow in the middle of the cups. It was a new one that Tante Drea had gotten her on saturday.

"You need the support dear." was all Tante had said. It was true she felt supported and they didn't rub annoyingly across everything anymore but bra's we for girls. Jaci was supposed to be a boy she knew that. The pills she took were a hormone blocker some spiral thing and a anti water pill since they made her feet swell up. What she could not understand was if the pill was to stop her puberty then why was she still growing breasts. Mommy and Daddy will be so mad.

She was grateful that Tante had gone in for her appointment ahead of Jaci to give her time. She needed it. Dr. Saintclair was a phyco.. something. A brain doctor. She didn't need one she already knew she was a boy that had all these bad girl things in her head and that she should stop them.

Jaci got up from her chair with a mild sucking sound as her thighs left the chair and walked to the machine where Dottie had earlier selected a cola. Yep it was still in there and Dottie had tried to get it after she had walked out of her meeting. Jaci retrieved the can and put it into Tante's purse which she was carrying.

Dottie was by reception chatting animatedly with the two girls behind the counter. And from the looks of it was being told how cute she looked even though Dottie was in a pair of jeans. Jaci looked enviously at Dottie. Jeans or pants were something jaci longed to wear but there was issues with that.

Jacilynn needed some air so she walked outside although it was a really warm day, 30+ C. Jacilynn started to shiver as if she was cold. The jeans, she used to be able to wear them.

Jaci was excited after months of saving up her leftover change from her lunch money she had gotten enough to get herself some pretty clothes. She knew it was wrong and that Mommy and Daddy would be so upset with her, again. But that bad part of her made her buy them. It was a simple white blouse and a pleated grey skirt. Kinda like was she had seen girls wear to school before.

These were used from a thrift store but still they were the very first ones she had ever bought. She had convinced herself she would try them on at home and then wear them to sleep. The next day she would return them to the store and get her money back.

It was a simple plan. Her mom and dad said earlier that morning they would be late getting home from work. She had thought about the items she would buy all day and was really anxious to feel them on her skin.

Jacilynn removed the much hated boys clothing and placed them carefully on her bed. It was a boys bed, a racecar bed with its Cars bedsheets. It fit with the rest of the room. The boys iceskates they didn't fit right with the hockey stick, the baseball glove and bat hardly used. The transformers and gijoe toys placed neatly in lines on her shelf. None of these things had any interest to her. She would play with them to make her parents happy but she hated every minute.

With shaking fingers she slid the skirt up her bare hairless legs. It felt soo good she smiled wide just with the feel of it. It felt so right so free. The blouse also felt wondeful on her sensitive skin with the buttons that actually buttoned from the right side, to her anyways.

Tucking the blouse into the skirt just like she had seen girls do on TV she walked to the closet door with its mirrored surface and looked at herself. She felt so pretty so right so happy. She knew it was wrong but she twirled from side to side the pleats flaring as she turned. She couldn't help it she giggled.

She had just turned and was giggling looking at herself when she heard the slight gasp and intake of breath. Her smile disappeared instantly. A slight frown and tears replaced it before she even had a chance to think about it.

"Just what the fuck do you think your doing *****?"

"Please Daddy I can explain."She started but he was mad. Really mad this was not the first time him and his mom, who was in back of dad, had caught him wearing something feminine.

"You little freak take that shit off right now. I do not know who you stole that from. My son the thief. Well Ill teach you ..."

She couldn't remember the rest of what he said. He came over mouthing something as he then tore her blouse to shreds taking it off of her and then the skirt was ripped off her the same way. Any resistance was met with a slap to the face. But that wasn't the worst part. The worst part was the way both him and mom had forced him back into the jeans he had taken off. Boys jeans they had hurt being pulled on with her foot trapped at the wrong angle going up the leg. The too tight pull on the waist to do them up. The pain on her tortured waist from the savage removal of the skirt.

"Jaci! Jaci please Jaci!" Little Dottie was looking at her with eyes filled with worry. There was a love in them that Jacilynn had never seen in others before. Not even her parents that she loved with all her little heart had ever looked at her that way.

"I'm okay Dottie just a bad thought."

"Jacilynn please don't think the bad thoughts. You scared me." Dottie said with a slight pout.

Out of the Doctor's office came a concerned Tante Andrea and a man Jacilynn assumed was Dr. Saintclair. Tante drea looked very worried.

"Jacilynn are you alright sweetie?" Andrea asked as she dropped to her knees to hug her.

"I'm okay really Tante."

"Did you have another episode? Was it a bad one?" She asked Jacilynn with concern.

"Yes Tante. No it wasn't one of the bad ones I'll be okay really."

"Jacilynn I am Dr. Adam Saintclair. You can call me Adam. Can you tell me a little about these episodes? Inside maybe?"

Jacilynn nodded that she would but would not let go of the hands she had clamped to Dorothy and Andrea. Although the little girl had stopped visibly shaking she was still very pale.

‘Drea’s choice, a Jaci and Dottie story

Andrea sat at her computer, trying to create a story.

Having two “guests” in her house had been a blessing in a lot of ways, but it had seriously cut into the time she could spend writing stories, something she’d been doing for years, even before her transition. First, it had been a way to work out some of the issues that related to that transition, as well as other, personal stuff, but as it evolved, it also became a way to reach out to her brothers and sisters in transition, giving them a smile, a laugh, a tear, an example, or just an escape from their own difficulties.

But since she had suddenly found herself the “Tante ‘Drea” to two wounded trans children, she had little time to write. She didnt mind the tradeoff, but she still liked to write, so whenever her charges were sleeping, she tried to get in whatever writing she could.

But, as often happened, she hadnt been writing long when she heard laughter and giggles coming from the bathroom. She sighed, turned off her computer, and went to see what her little darlings were up to now.

The bathroom wasnt a total disaster, but it was close.

The two girls were in the extra-large tub, splashing and giggling, and from the look of things, a good amount of bubble bath had been used to help the “fun” along.

A parent faced with this type of situation had two choices. ‘Drea wasnt their parent, but she was responsible for them, but she looked at the smiling faces, and made the less common choice.

She dived in.

The girls, who had momentarily frozen when they realized “Tante” was watching them, started shrieking with laughter as the older woman splashed them both.

Much later, after drying off and putting the two girls back into their respective beds, Andrea cleaned up the worst of the mess, and decided the rest could wait until the morning.

She went to her own room, put on a nightgown, and began to pray.

Both Dorothy and Jaci had gone to bed with large smiles, and especially for Jaci, it was a good thing to see, and Drea was grateful for it, and for how the love of the two girls had helped her make peace with her own wounds as well.

So saying a prayer of thanksgiving, she drifted off to sleep, and only had good dreams until morning, which would bring a new adventure to all three girls.
As it does for us all.

Elephant Ears - A Jaci and Dottie Story

The elephant ears may have been a mistake, but otherwise it had been a pretty good day.

Drea poured two very tired girls into their respective beds, and went and got a cup of tea as she reflected on the experience.

It had started when Dottie used her growing ability to look cute when asking for something to talk her into taking the girls to a summer fair, and overall, it had been worth it.

The first remarkable thing was both girls wore casual, but clearly feminine clothes. Dorothy wore a pair of feminine shorts with a butterfly made out of rhinestones on the pocket, as well as a pink t-shirt with the logo “girl’s rule” on it and a pair of Mary-Jane flats. Jaci wore a jean skirt and a orange top with pictures of flowers on the back and front, and open toed flat sandals.

Both girls had made the most of the day, Dorothy by trying games while Jaci went more for the rides, so between them they covered the whole fair. But the obvious highlight for both girls had been the bad food - corn dogs for Jaci and a cheeseburger for Dottie, with both girls wanting and getting the “elephant ears” for desert.

“Elephant ears” turned out to be flat pastry bottoms covered in powdered sugar and fruit, with a chocolate sauce on top. Of course, that much sugar turned both girls into a tornado that took a long time of serious running around to wind down before they could be taken home to bed.

She had been amazed at how well the two girls had done. It had been fun to see both girls putting aside their anxieties and just have fun for once, even if Dorothy had taken the lead most of the time, often dragging Jaci by the hand to see whatever had excited her at that moment.

What had made the day special for ‘Drea was when the girls found a booth where they could get caricatures done, Dorothy got one of her as a fairy while Jaci got one with her as “She-Ra, princess of power”.They then insisted Andrea get hers done as well, and wouldnt let her see what picture they picked for her until after it was done.

Now, with both girls finally in bed, Andrea took a look at the picture they had chosen for her, and smiled at the idea that this is how the girls saw her. All of her former anxieties about how she would look after she transitioned, all the sorrow and loneliness she had felt, and now here she was, blessed beyond measure by the love of two little girls., and she placed the picture on the countertop to rest until morning.

It was her a beautiful guardian angel, and it would eventually be put on the mantle to watch over the three of them grow and get better.

Day by day.

Dottie’s Test - A Jaci and Dottie story

“I feel ... helpless!”

Dr. Adam Saintclair nodded, and gave the young girl sitting in front of him a reassuring pat on the hand.

Dorothy had come a long way in a very short time, and Dr. Saintclair was starting to get the impression that given half a chance, she could be someone quite exceptional. But recent events at the house she shared with “Tante ‘Drea” had stopped that progress in its tracks.

Her adopted sister Jaci had been expecting a visit from her birth parents, and had gotten the impression they wanted to take her home, that they could accept the girl she actually was, but instead they had ended up driving off without so much as a word to the little girl, and the whole house ached with the grief Jaci felt.

“Poor Jaci ... I should be able to .. .I should ... ” Dorothy sighed.

“What do you think you should be doing?”

“I .. I dont know, something to make her feel better. And I cant!” And like a dam bursting, the tears began to flow.

********

Much later, Dr. Saintclair looked over the notes he’d taken during his session with Dorothy. There was little doubt that Dorothy was more intelligent than they had thought, and a lot of her childish behavior was emotionally based, rather than because of her intellect. He made a phone call to Dorothy’s school, hoping to arrange a way to find out the truth ....

******

A couple of days later, Dottie came home from school in tears, and went to her room and wept on her bed. Suddenly, she started screaming, and throwing things around before collapsing on the floor like a puppet whose strings had been cut.

Andrea came into the room, and sighed. Jaci was still acting numb from her rejection by her parents, and now it seemed like it was Dottie’s turn to act up.

“What happened, Dorothy?”

“I ... I was given a test today. They said it was a special test. And ... and I couldnt finish it. I’m ... I’m a dummy!”

“Dorothy look at me. LOOK at me. You are NOT a dummy, no matter how you did on this test.”

“But they want you to come to the school, cause you’re acting for my mom. I must have done horrible!”

“Sweetie, I want you to try and calm down. I will go tomorrow and find out what’s going on."

The next morning, Drea managed to get in to see Dr. Saintclair before she was to go to the school.

“Maybe I’m the wrong person to take care of these girls. I have no idea what to do!” She cried.

“Andrea. Please listen. You are exactly the right person to look after these two girls. Can you imagine how Jaci would be treated in a group home? Or Dorothy, for that matter? You’ve been where these girls are. You know the journey they’re on. Who else would understand them as well as you?”

“That’s what my pastor says. He says God laid me in their lives, having been through what I’ve been through, so I could help them.”

“And do you think so?”

“....Yes. I love these girls. I couldnt love them more if they had come from my body.”

“Then love them. And have faith.”

******

Later that afternoon, ‘Drea went to Dottie’s school, and picking up both girls who had waited in the library for her, went to see Dottie’s teacher. She asked the two girls to wait while she talked to the teacher, then went into the classroom.

“Dorothy came home very upset the other day, over a test?” She asked.

“Ah. I’m sorry. Dorothy must have misunderstood how that test works. It gets progressively harder until the student cant answer the questions. Its a good way to judge where they are.”

“So what were the results?”

“That’s the interesting thing. Dorothy reading level is .... beyond exceptional. She reads and understands at a level equal to a fourth year University student.”

“I knew she was smart, but .... So what do we do about that? Do you want to advance her in grades?”

“No, because she isnt equally as good in other areas. Her handwriting is poor, and her spelling is below average at best. We were thinking that we should give Dorothy an adult library card. In her Reading class, she can read quietly instead of doing what the other students are doing, with the proviso that she do a report on whatever book she chooses.”

“Sounds good to me. Hey, Dottie. Got some good news for you!”

****

Later, with her brand new library card in her hand and some brand new clothes in a bag, Dottie skipped home swinging Jaci’s hand and singing. Jaci still seemed totally numb, and that worried ‘Drea a great deal, but at least her other charge seemed to be past her little crisis.

Until they got home, and Dottie saw a message waiting on the phone.

“Tante? I ... its my mom. She want to see me.”

“Oh boy.”

I'm going to give you all fair warning about this one. It hurts but in a good way so grab the tissues

Andrea looked at the two girls both dressed in Identical dresses she had found through a friend. The dresses, while dating back to the 80's style she had fallen in love with when she was that age are made of newer materials. In this case a stretch velvet allowing for sudden growth spurts while remaining tightly fitted.

The dresses in question were black velvet A line dresses with short puffed sleeves that had white lace trim. A matching white embroidered lace peter pan collar on the dresses just made them so cute. The small tied bow in the back of the dresses just added to the overall cuteness of the dresses.

Dorothy was in her element and could not stop looking in whatever reflective surface she passed. Indeed both girls got many a compliment on their dresses so far. The black mary jane shoes with the white lace socks and white tights completed the two girls.

While Dorothy wore her hair teased a bit but pulled back with a hair band, in black velvet. Jacilynn's red mane was held in place with a black velvet bow on the back of her head. This was not the only difference between the two girls. Dorothy was all smiles, giddness, and skipping along.

Jacilynn however was a different story. She would walk along with her hand in Andrea's but her feet would barely clear the ground as she walked along. Her dull lifeless eyes and straight line lips left little doubt that this girl was anything but happy.

Andrea despaired looking at the young girl. Gone was the almost happy go lucky child she had fallen in love with a year ago. In her place was this shell moving numbly through the day. It had been a total of 3 weeks since she had carried the girl back to the house in her special pink dress from where she had chased after her parents. The girl had spent the next three days sitting at her window all day every day waiting for her parents to return.

Andrea knew full well how unlikely it was for Jaci's parents to return anytime soon. In part due to the restraining order but mostly due to how stubborn the parents were. She did wonder about that in part though. Homophobia that extreme is usually due to one or the other of the parents actually being in denial of themselves. Be it being gay or even trans the instinct to *protect* their child from that life forcing them to go further and further. But Andrea was not a doctor to actually know that for sure.

Andrea knew the girl needed badly to cry to heal. So far the poor young girl had been so withdrawn and had not seriously cried. The only time she would cry is when Dorothy would do something silly in a desperate attempt to get attention from her sister. Even then it was just tears rolling down her cheeks.

Even bringing the child in to the hospital for her lower abdominal scan had been almost painless. The child had responded only as a machine. You had to tell her to get dressed or undressed as she would not do so on her own.

The most maddening part of that was that after all the previous trouble to get the girl in for the scan it had come back as "normal". Andrea had been so sure that the girl really was a girl on the inside. However Dr Malfosa, her gynecologist had told her that the scan came back as having no anomalies of any kind.

Andrea had been insulted when Dr. Malfosa had accused her of giving Jacilynn estrogen or that the girl had self medicated somehow. Andrea knew full well that the only medication her girls, both being underage to recieve HRT, were only on testosterone blockers. Yet Jacilynn's blood test confirmed that the girl had the same elevated levels of estrogen as that of any other teenage girl.

The only thing that could make sense ,especially when you considered how the girl regularly lost almost a litre of blood in her stool, would be if she was somehow intersexed. But Dr. Malfosa had been adamant that Jacilynn did not posses a uterus or even ovaries. What had been a surprise however was that little Dorothy's scan came back with an anomaly. There was what could be an immature ovary in the girls abdomen. However without a biopsy to test it to be sure they were currently ruling it as a simple anomaly as it could also be cancer.

Still Drea did not want to push things Dottie was still not the same after the test fiasco. Drea had explained what the test was for and Dottie had gotten a new library card with "better books" but she could tell that Dottie was not happy she had"failed" the test. Now with the wait to see her own mom, especially after what happened to Jaci, giving her the news she had to go in for a biopsy test would just compound problems.

Drea had gotten both girls these dresses for today. While both girls looked cute Drea herself had problems of her own. Today was the day she dreaded every year. Drea was wearing a black velvet dress of her own. While not as cute as the girls it did show off her curvy figure to best advantage, especial when some of the curves were unwanted. The sleeves of the dress were long and the sweetheart neckline was unadorned. She had thought about a similar dress to the girls but it would make her look like an old lady.

The bell over the door tingled as she ushered her two girls inside the flower shop. She had each girl pick out a single red rose. Dorothy found one that had a huge blossom on it. Jacilynn's was partially closed for a blossom. The two were different as the two girls were different. For herself Andrea picked out the pink rose. She gave each girl the money to pay for the flowers and they did. Jacilynn even gave a small smile.

They left the flower shop and continued on their way to the cemetery that was near the flower shop. Andrea could not help but think the flower shop did good business being so close one.
The antique wrought iron fence had a fresh coat of black paint. It was a pretty fence, plain but the tops curved up and down separated by real stone pillars. The grass in the cemetery was neat tidy and very green. As usual on a weekday the gates were open.

Andrea led the girls down the many curving paths to the back of the cemetary. The graves they passed were in some ways works of art with the angels, and ornate crosses. That is except for here. Here was the burial place of a dear friend. The simple plaque gravestone said Here lies .... 1956 - 2003. The original name of her friend had be chiseled off by her parents. The girl had transitioned against her family's wishes and they had disowned her. Her friend had called her late one night to poor out her heart about how hard it was. The girl had not even legally changed her name and the loss of her family had hurt her deeply.

It was because of her sacrifice that Drea had found the courage to complete her own. Drea knelt down, with the assistance of the two girls, and cleaned away the few dead grass clippings. She placed her own pink rose down across the grave put down the paper from the rose that was wrapped so she would not ruin her hose and openly wept. Not once saying anything to the two girls.

Jacilynn looked around the graveyard she was in and noticed a strange sound. It was crying but it was coming from someone that sounded like Tante Andrea. It couldn't be she was always smiles and happy hugs. Turning she looked and saw Tante Andrea's shoulders heaving heavily with the tears. They were very powerful tears. So much so that they started her own tears. Dropping the forgotten rose Jacilynn knelt beside the woman that she had come to love very much.

"Tante don't cry. I'm sorry please don't cry." Her own tears falling fast and hard she snuggled under the arm of Tante Drea and gave her a hug.

"I'm sorry please Tante I love you so much please don't cry. I ...I...." the rest of what Jacilynn said fell to unintelligible mumbles.

Dorothy looked at the two special women in her own life with unnoticed tears in her eyes. Jacilynn had woken up after so long even if Tante was crying and she did not know why. The rose with the big blossom and its one forgotten thorn crushed in her own hand as she brought it up to her eyes to cover her tears. Not knowing why she also snuggled under the other arm of Tante in much the same position of Jacilynn.

And so the three ladies all cried tears of healing over the grave of a special person.

Unnoticed to the three a cement angel whose face had long corroded from age but overlooked that spot of the graveyard seemed to sprout water from the eyes.

Dottie’s Day - A Jaci and Dottie Story

Dottie sat in a room of the hospital, and then started giggling.

Her “sister” Jaci had whispered something to her, and whatever it was had set the young girl off, until she was barely able to breathe she was laughing so hard.

Glad to see her two charges sharing a joke, Drea said, “What’s so funny, Dottie?”

“Well, last time I was here, they gave me a cat scan. But Jaci just asked me where the cat was.”

Drea smiled, and said, “And what did you say?”

“It was in the machine, that’s why it purrs,”

Drea giggled, which set Dorothy off again, and her laugh got Jaci laughing as well, and they all laughed until their sides ached.

The doctor came in and said, “Well, it’s time.”

A couple of orderlies came in, and put Dottie on a gurney, and then they took her to the little room where they were going to do the “peek inside her” as Tante Drea said.

They placed a mask over Dottie’s face, told her to count down from one hundred, and she got as far as eighty-nine when she fell asleep.

While she was sleeping, she dreamed.

She saw the man who had done so much harm to her, pulling on a rope that seemed to be attached to her chest, dragging her toward him.

“We belong together, my little toy. Come take your place!” He said.

Then suddenly, she saw Jaci, and Tante ‘Drea, and a girl from her class named Kylie, and even her mother grabbing the rope trying to pull her to safety.

“Cut the rope!” Tante ‘Drea said.”

“How?”

“Forgive him, and let him go. Or he will always own the right to pull you back.”

Dottie looked at the monster who had taken so much from her, and asked “How can I forgive him?”

“See him rightly.” Kylie said, and Jaci gave her a pair of glasses.

Dottie put them on, and then looked at the man again. And just like that, she saw him not at the beast of her nightmares, but as a pathetic old man who hurt because he knew nothing else.

“I forgive you!” She shouted at him. and a knife appeared in her hand.

She started cutting the rope, repeating with each stroke “I forgive you.”

“Forgive yourself as well.” Tante said.

“I ... I forgive me.”: Dottie whispered, and with that, the rope was cut, and she was free.

******

Dottie blinked, and opened her eyes, “Tante?” She asked groggily.

“Hey, sweetie. How are you feeling? “

‘I’m okay, Tante. I had a funny dream.”

“You can tell me about it later, hon. Let’s let the doctor check you out, and then hopefully, I can take you home.”

So Dottie woke up as the doctor checked her out, and pronounced her fit to go home, and Tante Drea asked, “When will we know what the results were?”

“It will take a couple weeks. Andrea. But dont worry for now. Just take her home and have a quiet day until the effects of being put under totally wear off.”

“That will be a bit of a change for Dorothy. ‘Quiet days’ dont happen much.”

“Tante!” Dottie said, but then got distracted by Jaci bouncing into the room and jumping into the bed with her.

“Wake up, sleepy head!” Jaci sang.

Dottie didnt reply, just hugged her sister with every bit of strength she possessed.

*****
So Drea drove the girls home, and listened as Dottie described the strange dream she had had while under to Jaci, and smiled. Maybe, little Dorothy was finally ready to face what happened to her, and really begin to leave it behind, and heal.

Drea drove into the driveway, and realized there was a strange car on the street in front of their house, but focused on getting the girls inside, when the other car’s door opened, and a woman stepped out.

“Todd?” She called, and Dottie turned and looked.

“Mom?”

Dottie’s Mom - A Jaci and Dottie Story

“Todd?”

“Mom?”

Dottie, Jaci, and Drea all froze, looking at the woman who had stepped out of her car just as the three of them had done the same.

A dozen different emotions fought each other for the right to come of Dorothy, but none really managed to succeed for a long moment.

“Todd you look uh very nice.” the woman, who was Dorothy’s mother said.

“My name is Dorothy !” Shouted Dottie.

“THAT IS NOT THE ...” the woman started yelling back, but then calmed down and continued, “I see uh ... Dorothy. I bet your outfit got noticed if you were out dressed up like that.”

“Mom, its not a cry for attention! This is just who I am! Why dont you get it!” Dottie yelled, and tears began to form in her eyes.

Then there was a feral sound from Jaci, and she leaped at Dorothy’s mother, trying to hit and kick the woman, yelling and crying as she did so. Finally, Drea pulled her off the woman, and calmed the little girl down. She gave Jaci some money, said, “Go to the mall, dear.” and Jaci stormed off.

“Now, Dorothy,” Drea said, once Jaci was out of sight, “Please go play in your room, and let me talk to your mom for a bit, okay?”

Still shaking, Dorothy went to her room, and pulled out a couple of dolls and began to play.

Meanwhile, Drea took Dorothy’s mother inside, checked out her knees to make sure Jaci hadn’t done any serious damage, and then sat her down to have a cup of tea.

“Sorry about Jaci, Mikey. She’s been through a lot lately, and very protective of her sister.” Drea said.

“No serious harm done, but my shins will sting for a while.”

“She’ll get punished for that later. For the moment, I wanted to let her cool down, and sent Dorothy to play while we talk.”

“That’s fine with me. How is Todd doing, other than dressing like a girl?”

“Dorothy is doing much better. She’s made serious progress in dealing with what happened to her, and now she’s testing as being very smart at school.”

“Well, I suspected Todd was smart as a baby. Before Jim died, and he went to Dr. Smith ....” The woman choked up, but then caught herself, “But I’m glad he’s doing well at school.”

“What happened with Dr. Smith wasnt your fault, you know.” Drea said.

“He .. Why didn’t Todd say anything for so long? “

“Maybe she couldnt find the words to tell you. She was very brave during the trial.”

“”And I wasnt.”

“I never said that.”

“I had a breakdown. It was too much, losing my husband, then having my son raped ....But I’m getting better, and very soon I expect to be able to take up the duty of taking care of my son.”

“If you cant see you have a daughter, you’d just cause her pain. And I’ll fight for her, if I have to, to protect Dorothy.”

Dorothy’s mom said, “I’m my son’s mother. Once I’m medically cleared, he will come home with me. And he’ll stop pretending he’s a girl and be the boy he should be.”

“Good luck with that. If Dr. Smith couldnt get the girl out of her with rape and torture, nothing you do will. All you’ll do is make your child miserable, maybe even make them want to take their own life.”

“No. Not again, not after losing Jim to suicide. I wont let him ... I ... “

“Look. I dont want to fight with you. I want to give you some home movies we’ve made of her with me and Jaci. Watch them, see how happy your child is. And think about it before you take that happiness away.”

******

Later, Drea went to Dottie’s room, and found a couple of dolls strewn across the floor, and a whimpering sound coming from the closet.

Drea opened the closet door, brushed aside the pile of shoes (Dottie was already developing a pretty large collection), and curled up beside the child of her heart.

“I cant go back to being a boy, Tante. I ... I just cant ...”

“Shhh. Its okay, sweetie. Nobody is going to make you be anybody but you.”

“But my mom wants to take me home and make me a boy and I cant ... I cant ...”

Dorothy started crying even harder, and Drea held on to her, and let her cry.

Then the door of the closet opened again, and Jaci was standing there. She sat uncomfortably on the pile of shoes so she could hug Dorothy from the opposite side of Drea, and added her own tears to those of her ‘heart sister'.

"Ja...Ja...Jaci?”” Dorothy managed through her sobs.

“I’m here, sis.”

“I’m right here.”

Dottie’s Sleepover - A Jaci and Dottie Story

“Can I have a sleepover, Tante?”

Drea looked at Dottie and smiled. It had been a really stressful period for all of them, so it made her feel very happy to see Dottie thinking of good things again.

“Do the girls who would be coming have permission?” Drea said.

“Yes, Tante. They’ve ....been worried about me, and set this up.”

“So have I, sweetie. Okay, they can come.”

So later that afternoon, a group of giggling girls arrived, and Dottie introduced them to Drea. Joanne and Kylie, Yuko and Diana, Stef and Kara all said their respective hellos and then proceeded to turn the house into Sleepover Central.

Furniture was moved to make room for sleeping bags, snacks and drinks were placed strategically on the kitchen table, videos were put into the Blue Ray player, and blankets and pillows were put down on the floor. The girls changed into PJ’s, and put Dottie in the middle of them so they could keep her smiling all night long, and Dottie’s sister Jacki was also persuaded to be a part of the fun, even if she kept muttering about being a boy under her breath.

Someone pulled out a MP3 player and tunes were sung along to, including song by a Canadian group that was just starting out called Starlight Butterfly, which the girls decided was “pretty cool.”

Many topics of giggling conversation followed, between movies, tv, celebrities, fashions, parents, siblings, and school, there was a lot of subjects to cover before they got to the big one - Boys. Most of the girls were twelve or thirteen, meaning they were just on the cusp of the rollercoaster ride that is puberty, and boys were starting to figure into their minds were a greater frequency.

Dottie didnt partake of this part of the discussion but listened and smiled at her friends as they described every possible crush from boy band members to local boys who attended the boys school across the street from their girl’s school. Dottie herself felt rather confused about boys for a number of reasons, spending most of her twelve years on Earth as one being just one of those reasons.

Finally, after stories had been shared, movies watched, snacks eaten, and pillow fights had been held, the girls huddled into a pile and fell asleep with Dottie in the middle, and for once she slept without screaming, a rare feat for the child who had been through horror only a few short years before.

Drea had witnessed all of this, filmed some of it, and finally found a spot to curl up herself to try to sleep. She had never had a sleepover of her own, not transitioning until she was an adult, but watching her charge bask in the fun made any sacrifices she had made to get where she was well worth while.

Soon, there would be new challenges, but they could wait.

For tonight, there were only happy dreams, and a house full of love.

For all of them.

Dottie’s hospital surprise - A Jaci and Dottie story

“Do I gotta have the surgery?”

If Dottie had been talking about SRS, this would have been a very strange question indeed. She was known to have the day after her eighteenth birthday circled as the day she wanted to have her genitles changed to suit her true self.

But she was talking about removing something feminine in her she never knew she even had until very recently - an undeveloped overy.

Its existence probably explained Dottie’s feminine nature and how fast she was moving away from the boy she had been born as, but they were afraid it represented a danger to her health, and Tante Drea was adamant that they had to find out for sure if it had to go.

So off they went to the hospital, with Jaci in tow, to take care of the situation before it got worse, and now Dottie was getting a little nervous.

Jaci was wearing a leather jacket over her school uniform, trying to look brave and strong for her sister, but Drea could tell this was as hard for her as it was for Dottie.

Jaci had insisted that she be allowed to hold Dottie’s hand, so she was given a gown, a mask, and some gloves and then allowed to sit by Dottie during the procedure. She watched fascinated as the doctor takes a small scalpel and makes a tiny incision until she saw the small amount of red blood emerge.. She stared at the small pool of blood, and then swooned. Drea had also been prepped, so she went over to her little girl and picked her up.

So it was that neither of them were in the room when Dottie finally opened her eyes, but she wasn’t alone.

She blinked a few times, but the person beside her bed remained where she was.

“Mom?”

“Hi Dorothy.”

“Wha.. where’s Tante and Jaci? And did you just call me Dorothy?”

"Hi sweetie. I was at work when Ms. DiMaggio called me that you were coming in for surgery. I ... was worried. .. I had to be here for you.”

“Oh mom ... I’ve missed you so much ...”

“I’ve missed you too.”

Just at that moment Jaci and Drea came into the room, and Drea said, “I’m glad you came. Your daughter could use all the support she can get right now.”

The two women stood looking at each other. Then Jaci brushed past Dottie’s mom and went to the little bathroom in the corner. A few moments later, there was a flush and the small girl opened the door again.

Both Drea and Dottie’s mom said at the same moment, “Did you wash your hands?”

The little girl growled, and went back in, slamming the door behind her.

Dottie’s mother turned to Drea and said, “I ... I’ve been doing some thinking ...”

To be continued?

Dottie’s bad day - A Jaci and Dottie story

Little Jaci swished her princess charm school dress, and then felt guilty about that. She knew that her mommy and daddy had wanted her to be a boy, and she had tried her best, but somehow, it just wouldnt stick - acting like a girl just came too naturally to her.

Despite that, Jaci still tried to be a boy, and so hated the fact she enjoyed how the dress felt, and went to Dottie’s room, intending to give her the dress so she wouldnt be tempted by it any more.

She opened the door to Dottie’s room, and found Dottie sitting in a chair in her own charm school dress, rocking back and forth, moving her lips silently, and staring at nothing.

“Dottie, I should give you this ... Dottie? You okay?”

Dottie didnt seem to have heard her at all, she just continued rocking and whispering under her breath.

Fortunately, Jaci knew what to do, and ran to get Tante Drea who was writing in her bedroom.

“Jaci, you should knock first.” Tante Drea said when the small girl burst into the room.

“Sorry Tante but come quick Dottie is having a flashback and I cant get her out of it!” Jaci managed.

Drea got up, and followed Jaci to Dottie’s room where the girl hadnt seemed to have changed position, but was still rocking and whispering.

Drea took the child into her arms, and went back to her own room and laid her on her bed. She then lay beside her and held her tightly, whispering that she was safe and no one would hurt her.

Jaci jumped in and held her sister’s hand, her own troubles forgotten in her concern for her little sister.

Finally, after what felt like hours to Jaci, Dottie blinked several times, and said, “Tante?”

Drea nodded, and said, “You’re okay, sweetie. It was just a flashback, you’re safe now.”

Dottie cried a little, and held on to both Jaci and Drea tightly.

“Now, sweetie. Do you know what brought this on?”

Dottie frowned, and then nodded. “We’re supposed to take ballroom dancing at the charm school. We’re supposed to dance with boys.”

“That scared you?”

“No, it was ... the boys came in, and they weren’t in suits or whatever, but were dressed casually. There was one boy who was in a soccer jersey with a bit of mud on the front of it and ... and...”

“What happened, Dottie.”

“I looked at him. “

“Well, what’s wrong with looking at him, dressed like that? Why do boys like to get dirty?” Jaci asked.

“No! I looked looked at him, Tante. He had nice eyes, and a funny half smile and the shirt hung tight on him .. . and ... and ... I looked looked!”

Dottie began to cry, and Jaci hugged her closer, and Drea wiped the tears from her eyes.

“Oh, sweetie. It will be okay.”

“But .. what if I like boys, Tante? They scare me, but ... what if I like them too?”

“Then you like boys. You may find you like boys, or girls, or even both. Whoever you like, what you should look for are the good qualities - patience, kindness, courage, and so on. You get those, and what gender they are matters a lot less.”

“But I’m scared, Tante!”

“It is kinda scary, at least at first. But it will get less so, especially if you keep working on putting behind you the bad stuff that happened.”

“I’m ... I’m trying, Tante.”

“I know you are, and you’ll get there. And so will you, Jaci.”

“Long as we got each other, right Tante?”

“As long as we have each other is right.”

Dottie sighed, and curled up beside Drea and fell asleep, with Jaci beside her.

Once she was asleep, Drea whispered to Jaci to go get changed into a nightie, and come back.

So it was that the three of them, two wounded girls and the woman who took care of them, slept soundly, each knowing the love of the other two, each feeling safer for that love, and braver because of it too - Dottie to face her fear of boys, Jaci to face the pain of her parent’s rejection, and Drea, who had in taking in these two girls had learned just how much love she had to give.

They all slept soundly, which was probably for the best, because new adventures, were just around the corner .....

Lil Jacilynn walked into her room at the house Andrea (Drea to friends) DiMaggio. Her sister Dorothy (Dottie to friends) had been left behind at school chatting with friends about the upcoming dance recital. Dottie was nervous in the extreme about dancing with boys.

Jacilynn knew she should have walked home or stayed to comfort Dottie but she was distracted as she had gotten her report. A report similar to the report cards of old. However this one was in the form of a letter addressed to Drea. The letter was supposed to be for the parent or guardian of the girls that went to St. Marys Girls academy where Dottie and Jaci were enrolled.

Jacilynn removed her school blazer, skirt, blouse and tie. She hung them up in her closet but thought better of the blouse and instead put that separately into the laundry basket in her room. Unlike Dottie who had been going to the school for 6 months before Jaci had been introduced to their house Jaci did not have very many friends at school yet. This was not because nobody at school tried but because Jaci was painfully shy around other girls.

Standing in her small B cup bra and tight panties she looked very much a young girl that is until she turned and you could just make out the tiny lump at the bottom of her panties. A bump that many even ignored simply because they expect a tiny mound which Jaci didn't have. Nor did her sister Dottie. Jaci one more stood in front of her bedroom mirror over a desk. The desk contained young girl play makeup as both girls were not allowed to wear makeup. Nothing emphasized this more than a week or two ago before Halloween when both girls had gotten into Dreas makeup. The two girls looked funny with the smeared makeup and Drea had a very hard time keep her face straight as she disciplined the girls.

Jacilynn finish looking in the mirror at herself and sighed. Unlike most girls her age she was slightly depressed at her figure. Not because she wasn't proud of it but because it meant that her parents would not like it. Jacilynn would not tell anyone her birth name as she felt it was the wrong one hence she only went by Jacilynn. Even that was not the normal version of the name and often got misspelled or mispronounced. It was the very first name she had ever spelled in her painfully neat writing. Her parents had gotten very angry when she had done that at a young age of 4 before being enrolled into a preschool where she was made to spell the fake male name repeated.

Even when she was that young she knew she was girl without question. Her parents would often be heard yelling at her to "be a man" or " stop this faggot nonsense" not the best method as she just did it more unconsciously. By her current age of 11 every mannerism, little nuisance of speech, or action was that of a young lady. She tried very hard to be the boy her parents wanted but instead of being masculine it happened to always be quite the opposite.

Even now she had a serious problem when it came to anything remotely boyish in appearance. She could no longer wear any tight necked shirts or pants. Even her school blouse was a little too tight for her sometimes and she had to loosen it up before she broke into a panic attack. Her closet was full of dresses, pretty and girly tops, or blouses. Her drawers had only lingerie in them from simple panties and bras to almost sexy ones. Nighties filled one drawer entirely while another held pajamas and little girl baby doll nighties.

Her twin canopy girls bed had a frilly canopy with lace as well as a white bedspread with ruffles on the edges of the bed skirts that matched the ruffled pillow cases. Not that you could see them pillows as she also had 3 stuffed animals. One a little worse for wear. It was an older teddy bear not a big one actually quite small whose once red brown fur had faded over time, and many accidental washings, to its current slightly pink color. The one arm was sewn back on more than once along with the head now missing a bit of stuffing. The pink ribbon around the neck was the only recent addition. It was the one item she had kept from her childhood. Indeed her father had more than once torn up little teddy while she was held tightly by her mother to watch. Little Jaci had retrieved it each time and carefully fixed up teddy each time as best she could.

From the corner of the room where a small case was there was also another small clear cheap plastic box that contained her first barbie. The barbie was a gift from one of her earlier girlfriends at school. Girlfriends that she was almost beaten daily to not have as she was supposed to play with boys at school. The doll was actually really badly burnt. Her once former long blonde hair was a melted mess ontop of her half burnt face. The one arm was missing and the one leg was noticeably shorter. She had almost gotten burnt herself when she grabbed it out of the hastily sprayed firepit in the backyard. She had used the fire extinguisher to spray first her father and mother before putting out the fire and saving Barbie. Still Barbie was in her princess dress much like sleeping beauty. It was a vain hope that one day her sleeping barbie would heal herself.

She had other barbies that looked just like first one used to but she would not get rid of her first barbie. She did not play with her as much as she used to. Even Dottie found Barbie gross. She never had to worry about any girlfriends bugging her about Barbie since she didn't make any. The memory of the beatings had scarred her from making any.

Jacilynn remember the first day she had met Andrea and a painfully shy Dottie, not that she was any better. Andrea had been wearing a flower print dress that went well with her grey hair. Dottie had been hiding behind Andrea's skirt in her own small black skirt with white tights, slightly dirty on one side with the beginning of a run in the leg near the knee, and a small white sweater that was more unisex than feminine. Her blond hair was very short still for a girl. Still it was plain to see this was a scared young girl.

Jacilynn had her auburn hair in two pigtails on either side of her head. Not very long yet but still pigtails she was absurdly proud of as she had done herself. Her pink and white dress with its stiff crinoline was almost mashed as she had her arms wrapped around the leg of the foster mother she had stayed with for the past year and half. Even at time a little over year ago Jaci had had the beginnings of breasts growing on her tiny frame. The two girls had been reluctantly pushed forward to greet each other. Jaci had burst into tears as soon as Dottie said hi.

Dottie had lost her reluctance and hugged Jaci before either adults could react. It was the beginning of a soon close bond between sisters born of different parents. As the year went by Jacilynn's overwhelming feminity had rubbed off on the then tomboyish Dorothy. Dottie now wore skirts, blouses, and dresses on occasion to be like her 'big sister' even though Jacilynn was only older by a month. Jacilynn on the other wore less girlie outfits and wore a denium skirt and plain white top whose small ruffles replaced the sleeve. Still girly but less that some of the dresses she used to wear every single day.

Dottie had been going to the private girls school when Jaci arrived. It was evident that Dottie had not been that comfortable in the uniform while Jacilynn almost drooled over it. It took almost 6 months before Jacilynn was convinced to go to the school instead of the 'safe' home schooling by Drea and the tutor. The school itself did not have a deportment class for the girls to attend the closest was a 2 week period during the home education part. Dottie almost failed these sections while Jacilynn breezed right through it.

It was therefore funny for Drea to watch both girls reactions to falling in love with the Barbie Princess Charm School movie. A movie both girls had watched a dozen times. The girls would often pause the movie and point out how much they loved the look of the various original uniform parts. The girls even had the movie theme song almost memorized.

Jacilynn sighed with the memory of the time her parents came to visit. The pain of their leaving her behind still hurt her very much. If they could see the report letter they would be very upset at her. The letter stated that she was the 'Picture of a proper young lady' who did well in most subjects but was reluctant to socialize with other girls her own age. The report also went on to say that it seemed she had improved in this regard since the last report of a few months ago. The teacher was still concerned for her and again suggested that perhaps the girl could do with some counseling from the school guidance counselor.

Jacilynn got up from her bed and went to her closet once more to look for something to wear for the evening. It was with a bit of a shock that she encountered something new. There was a shiny white blouse with puffy short sleeves next to something in a royal purple. Jaci pushed aside her other clothes to extract these items. Her previously sad face broke out into first a huge smile, then as she saw the skirt and small tie that went with the other two items she started to hop up and down in her excitement on her feet.

It was the excited Jacilynn that Dorothy walked in on in her bra and panties. Dottie was upset that Jaci had almost run away from school again leaving her behind. She didn't feel abandoned as this was not the first time Jacilynn had gotten spooked at school and rushed home before Dottie could even the leave the school. Still it did bother her.

"Jaci..."

"Dottie! OH MY GOD you ...uh wait go outside and please wait you GOT to see this!" Jacilynn totally overrode Dotties prepared speech pushing a bewildered Dottie out of her room.

Jacilynn quickly searched her dresser looking for her white knee socks before she remember that she was already wearing them from school earlier and instead extracted a white full slip. She quickly donned the blouse that fit her so well and felt so good. She followed this with the gold, purple, and pink pleated plaid skirt that came to her knees. She tied on the small matching tie to the skirt before slipping into the sleeveless purple vest that hugged her body tightly exposing her curves just nicely. The small golden crown symbol over the left breast finished off the outfit.

Jacilynn rushed to her vanity and searched among her hair clips, bows, and accessories finally finding the cute little hair elastic with two beads on it she sat, carefully tucking her skirt under herself, to brush her hair out after removing the barrettes then pulling her below shoulder length hair into a single pony tail on the back of her head. Checking herself over once more and giggling to herself she stepped over to the door of her room and took a second or two to composed herself into a hauty prissy girl with shoulders slightly back, her back ramrod straight and feet tightly together. In other words as much a proper regal princess as she could manage.

"Dorothy my dear what a pleasant surprise." She said as she opened her bedroom door in a slight snooty voice. Dorothy's eyes opened wide as she recognized the uniform before even she bounced up and down on the balls of her feet still encased in her school mary janes. Jacilynn stepped back into her room where Dorothy followed before flouncing herself onto Jaci's bed crushing the pleats of her own untucked skirt the process as she stared with longing at Jaci.

"What you think?" Jaci asked in her normal and excited voice as she twirled for Dottie. The small strap at the back of the vest with its tiny gold buckle even caught Dotties eyes.

"So pretty!" Dottie said entranced.

"Have you checked your own closet Dottie?"

"Naw."

"You should cause it seems unfair that Tante would get this only for me.." It took a moment before it registered and then Dotties eyes if anything got bigger and she ran from Jaci's room to her own.

Jacilynn was still starring at her own reflection but could not miss the excited scream of Dotties "It's here!"

--SEPARATOR--

Andrea DiMaggio smiled into her cup of tea as she could hear the two girls had found the uniforms. It had been a small miricle to find them. But then again her girls were not the only two girls that loved Barbie. She did wonder how the girls would love the small 4 week Barbie Charm School training camp the uniforms were actually for. Somehow she didn't think either girl would mind all that much.

Andrea was worried. The roast in the oven was almost ready but she was not sure that they would like it. She was currently rubbing her hands back and forth, a nervous gesture of hers, as she waited for the roast to finish. She wondered for the 20th time if she should make a salad or maybe some desert.

Being that the trans support group meeting was to be held at her house for the first time she was understandably very worried. Would they think her place to masculine? To overly feminine? Was the bath towels clean? Did the girls rooms look okay? Would anyone think she was abusing them?

A part of her told her she was being silly and everything was fine. It still didn't stop her worry.

"Betty Archie is mine you can't have him!" that sounded like Dorothy.

"No way! Archie is mine Veronica. I bake for him and fix his car and everything. You can have Jughead." and that sounded like Jacilynn.

"Uh uaa. Veronica always gets Archie in the end!"

"Does not"

"Does too."

Okay something is up! Andrea walks quietly towards the living room. She sees her two charges playing in the same spot as before. Jacilynn is wearing a cute paisly summer dress with cute little bows on her shoulders. Her legs are tucked under her and she has the blond barbie in her hand.

Dorothy is in a cute little black 2 tiered skirt and has a black and white checkered top on with a peterpan collar. She has her legs sprayed out behind her. Her white panties can almost be seen if someone really looked hard. Not the most ladylike position you could tell that Dorothy was more of a pants girl.

What was really interesting was that both girls were playing with the barbies, and apparently were pretending that they were Betty and Veronica from the Archie comics. From the looks of it the Ken doll was the Archie in his old jalopy. Which in this case was the cheap plastic red jeep that they had bought earlier.

It was a half day of school for the girls and Andrea had picked them both up from school. They had both still had their adorably cute uniforms on when they stopped at the yard sale before going to the grocery store. Watching the two girls in the yard sale nobody once questioned that they were anything but two girls. For this Andrea was very happy as her own self doubts constantly plagued her and she didn't want the girls to experience her pain if she could help it.

Dorothy had found the old suitcase with the two barbies and a ton of clothes in it. She was excited about her find and just about dragged Andrea to see it. Jacilynn had spotted the Red plastic jeep and you could tell she was trying hard to be excited about the find. It was also apparent she really didn't want it but was doing it to appear boyish. It hurt Andrea to she the girl try so hard. Mostly out of reflex to be or try to fit the image she had of a boy.

Still the two girls made their purchases and they had continued on their way to the store for the few things she needed for the supper pot luck. Both girls had spent the rest of the car ride back exploring the suitcase. The plastic jeep forgotten.

Andrea reminded the girls to wear something nice for later as she was to have guests. She had not specified what to wear just that it be nice. She really was expecting them both to come down in jeans and tshirts. Dorothy because she wasn't comfortable being a girl around others quite yet. Jacilynn because she though she had to be a boy. Seeing both girls dressed in such pretty clothes all on their own brought a heartfelt smile to her face.

Turning from the living room to check on her roast she still had the smile on her face. At least the red jeep made a believable Archie jalopy.

Dottie dresses down - A Jaci and Dottie story

Andrea DiMaggio sat in front of her computer, trying to compose a new story. Chances to write had been few and far between since she had become “Tante Drea” to two small children, as she had to constantly listen for sounds of trouble.

And as if invoked by the thought, she heard a loud noise coming from down the hall, and she bolted from the chair and started heading toward the sound before she had even processed what the sound was.

Once she realized what the sound was, she slowed for a moment.

It was laughter.

But that just made her want to speed up again, because it was Jaci laughing, and she was curious what could have brought that on, as it had seemed like a long time since she had even smiled, much less laughed.

Drea rounded the corner, and opened the door to Jaci’s room, and saw the young girl laying on the floor in absolute hysterics, and then she saw what was making Jaci laugh so hard - it was Dottie.

Dottie was dressed in ratty jeans, sneakers, and a bulky sweater, with her hair tucked under a ball cap, all in an obvious attempt to try and pass as a boy.

Drea couldnt help but smile a little at Dottie’s dress, since her feminine nature shone through even in such tomboy clothes, but she wondered what on Earth had possessed Dottie to try.

“Oh.. oh Tante, Dottie made me pee myself! Look at her!”

“I’m looking. And if you really peed, you should get out of your clothes and go have a bath.”

“But Tante !”

“No buts. Scoot!”

Drea turned to Dottie, who was holding the cap in her hand and obviously fighting tears, and said, “Okay, Dottie. Besides making your sister laugh, is there a reason why you’re dressed like this?”

“I gotta go back to being a boy, Tante.”

“Why? And why now?”

“Because Jenn wants me to go camping with her Brownie troop. And If I went, they’d find out I had boy bits, and ... I cant let it happen.”

“Tell you what. Go join your sister in the bath, and when you’re both done, come to my room. We’ll talk about it as a family, okay?”

“O... kay, Tante.”

One bubble bath later, the two girls hopped into bed with Tante Drea, with Dottie in the middle as she talked about what was bothering her.

“Jenny wants me to join her Brownie troop for a weekend camp-out as sort of my introduction to Brownies. But if I go, there will be a cabin full of girls, and someone’s gonna find out I got boy bits and... I couldnt risk it. So I started thinking, if I cant do something like that, if I have to worry every time I go out that someone is going to know I’m not a real girl, maybe I should just go back to being a boy. “

“You cant go back to being a boy, Dottie! You’re were never a boy, so how can you back to being one?” Jaci said.

“Jaci has a point, Dottie. Whether you wear girl clothes or not, you ARE a girl, in your fundamental self. Nothing can change that.”

“But I feel like a fake, Tante!”

“A lot of girls like you do, sometimes Even I do, sometimes.”

“You, Tante? But you’re .... you were like us?”

Drea nodded. “I’ll tell you the story, sometime, Dottie. But for now, I wanted to remind you of something you forgot. Jenny is like you too. If she’s inviting you to join the trope, I’m sure they’ll have thought about how to accommodate you. And you had a sleepover here, how did you handle that?”

“I ... I wore a double panty. And they all knew my history anyway.”

“And they treat you like you were a fake?”

“N... no.”

“There you go. You are a girl, Dottie. Even when you try and hide it it shows through so clearly people cant help but treat you like one. “

“I guess. Its just ... sometimes, I wish I didnt have to wait for the surgery.”

“It will happen eventually, Dottie. “

“Okay Tante. You promise you’ll tell us your story someday?”

“Promise, sweetie.”

“Thanks Tante. And thanks to both you and Jaci for being there for me.”

“Anytime. Now, close your eyes, both of you. Tomorrow is another day.”

“Kay Tante.”

The two girls eventually went to sleep, and Drea breathed a prayer of thanks for them, and then closed her own eyes, and joined them in happy dreams.

And the next day, their adventures continued ....

Dottie’s Dare - A Jaci and Dottie story

Dotte sat in the small security office of the local mall with her head down, wondering how things got this far out of hand.

It had all started that morning, when Dottie’s sister Jaci was trying to use her “manly man” voice, and Dottie decided it would be fun to show Jaci what she sounded like.

So when Jaci said “I’m a manly man”, Dottie crouched down putting her hands between her feet and said “Ribbit, Ribbit, you sound like a frog!”

Unfortunately, as she was trying to straighten up again, Tante Drea came around the corner and saw her, and shouted “Dottie! If you have to go, go in the bathroom!”

That made Jaci fall over laughing, and Dottie flushed with embarrassment.

So not long after, Dottie went to her room, and got out the grubby jeans and t-shirt she wore when she was doing stuff around the garden, and added to it a bulky sweater that might hide her growing breasts. She then put on a pair of plain sneakers, and tucked her hair under a cap before deciding she looked boyish enough, and stepped out to find Jaci.

Jaci did a double-take at her appearance, and said, “What are you doing?”

“I have a dare for you. You keep saying you’re a boy, and I’m a girl. Well, let’s find out who is more of a boy. Get your most boyish clothes on, and come with me to the mall. Then whichever one of us gets outed as a girl first loses. Will you take my dare?”

“Oh,..... you are so on!” Jaci said, and ran to her room to find something boyish to wear.

So a short time later the two girls walked into the mall, and went to a clothing store. They went to the boy’s department, and found a saleslady, and Dottie tried out her most boyish voice in saying “Looking for some new pants, can you help me?”

“Yeah, me too.” Jaci added.

“Oh are you two girls shopping for your brother or something?” the saleslady asked.

“Girls? I’m a boy.” Dottie said.

“Me too.” Jaci added.

“Sure you are, and I’m the queen of England. Now do you want some clothes for your brother or not?”

Dottie couldn’t hold it together any longer, and fled the store, with Jaci on her heels.

“Well, I guess I win.” Jaci said.

“What? She said you were a girl too. She saw us both as girls, so I guess that’s a tie.”

“So what now?”

“We try again. Let’s use the boys washroom, that will surely show which of us is more the girl.”

Jaci nodded, and followed Dottie to the washrooms, but just as Dottie was about to go into the boy’s washroom, a man stepped out, and did a double-take.

“Excuse me.” Dottie mumbled, trying to get past the man.

“Where do you think you’re going missy? The girls bathroom is over there.” The man said.

“But I’m a boy!” Dottie exclaimed.

Before the man could respond to this, Jaci said, “Girls today, what can you do with them? Excuse me, this real boy needs to pee.”

The man looked at Jaci and said, “I don’t know what you two girls are playing at, but you cant go snooping in the boys bathroom. Now, take off, both of you, before I call security.”

“But I’m really a boy!” Wailed Jaci, forgetting to try and use her “manly” voice.

“Me too!” Dottie said desperately.

“Okay, that does it.” The man hit a blue button on the side of the wall, and before either girl knew what was going on they were being dragged into the security office, to wait for Tante to come pick them up, which is when Dottie slumped in her chair and tried to figure out what went wrong.

Eventually, Tante Drea came, and both girls got a stern talking to, and knew they’d have another when they got home, which indeed happened.

“You’re lucky they didn’t decide to ban the both of you! Whatever made you girls try this?” Drea asked in exasperation.

“Jaci keeps saying she’s a boy, and I’m a girl, when I know I’m just a boy who had to become a girl to get away from what happened to him.” Dottie sniffled as she replied, “And so I was gonna show her that she cant pass for a boy, and I can.”

“And did you .... pass for a boy?”

“Nnnooo....”

“How about you, Jaci, did anyone think you were a boy?”

Jaci said nothing, but shook her head sadly.

“Look, both of you. Being the type of girl you both are is hard, and sometimes, you’re going to struggle, and start believing that you are some kind of fake. Believe me, I’ve been there too. But I can tell you both, unequivocally, that you are both girls. Your mannerisms, your bodies, your voices, all say to the world quite loudly that you are girls, without any doubts, just like I am.”

“Tante? you’ve kinda hinted you were like us. Will you tell us your story?” Dottie pleaded.

“Maybe soon, I will. But first, I have to think of a good punishment for the both of you.”

Dottie’s face fell, and Jaci looked at her shoes.

“This is another fine mess you’ve got me into.” Dottie said to her sister.

“Say what?”

After the Dare - A Jaci and Dottie Story

Author’s note: this is a sequel to “Dottie’s Dare”, so you should read that one first ....

Drea DiMaggio sat at her kitchen table, and tried to massage a headache away.

Raising two wounded transgender girls was a huge challenge, and sometimes, like now, she wondered if she was really the best person for the job.

The latest incident was a tough one - Her two charges, Dorothy (Dottie) and Jaci, had dressed as boys, and tried to enter the boys washroom at the local mall, and Drea was trying to figure out how best to put the girls back on the right track.

She understood a lot of what happened, especially for Dottie. The girl had been dealt a series of hard psychological blows lately - finding out her breasts were growing on their own, finding out she had an ovary, finding out that said ovary might have to be removed before it became a cancer, and then finding out that her mother was in the hospital with cancer, and not doing well.

The cumaltive effect of these blows had eroded Dottie’s confidence badly enough that she was starting to retreat to being a boy, despite the fact that she simply didn’t pass as one. Every word she spoke, every move she made just screamed “girl”, but somehow, she simply couldnt see that and was convinced people like Drea and her friends at school were humoring a crazy boy.

This fed into the problems her sister Jaci had with her gender. Jaci was convinced if she could be a boy her parents would love her again, and kept trying to be one, despite the fact she was actually even more girly than Dottie in her voice and movements. Not only that, she had been so lavishly tortured by her parents for not being a boy that she still suffered PTSD attacks every time she tried to put on boy clothes, and had only recently gotten well enough that she coulld wear pants of any type, and even then only the most girly ones available.

Because of this history, Drea hesitated to simply punish the girls for their little stunt, but instead was trying to find a way to boost the confidence of the girls enough that they could accept themselves as they were, seeing what happened as more of a cry for help rather than anything else.

Drea began flipping through the paper, and then she saw a possible answer - Ballet classes. She knew that Dottie had been watching a movie called “Barbie in the Pink Shoes” and had been trying to do some of the ballet moves when she thought no one was watching her, so she suspected it wouldnt take much to get Dottie to buy into going to a class, and the class would no doubt help her regain some of her lost confidence.

Jaci, however would be a tougher nut to crack, and it was possible that without Jaci there Dottie would get overwhelmed and would retreat even further away from her natural self, so somehow Jaci would have to be persuaded to participate.

Drea thought for a while, and then went to Jaci’s room. She sat down beside the girl on her bed, and took a deep breath before beginning.

“Jaci what the two of you did was very bad, you understand that right?”

“But .....I should be using the boy’s washroom. I have to be a boy!”

“I know that’s how you feel right now, but frankly I’m worried what’s been happening to your sister, and I need you to put aside your feelings to help me help her.”

“I don’t understand.”

“Jaci, havent you noticed how much Dottie tries to be like you? She imitates you all the time. And I’m worried she’s trying to be a boy to be like you now. And that’s not all. The more she tries to be a boy, the less confidence she has in being a girl, and the more she’ll hide from the world. That would be really bad for her, do you understand?”

“I ... I guess. But what can I do?”

“I’m going to sign Dottie up for Ballet. But I suspect she wont go unless you go too. Can you put aside your feelings and go with her? At least until she gets some confidence back?”

“You mean, take ballet? Wear a tutu, that kind of thing? Ballerinas are so pretty .... But I’m too manly for that!”

“Be that as may. will you try your best, for Dottie?”

“Dottie really needs this?”

“I believe so. Honestly, I cant think of anything that might help her more. So, will you try?”

“I .... I guess I can. For my sister’s sake.”

Drea smiled, and kissed the girl on the forehead and then said, “Good. We’ll tell Dottie tomorrow, and get started as soon as school is out. Thank you, Jaci.”

“Sure. I mean, what’s a little time in a tutu for my sister?”

Drea smiled again, and then said, “Good night, Jaci.” And got up, turned out the light, watched the child settle, and then stepped out of the room.

With some luck, Ballet could help Jaci too, Jaci hadn’t fooled her, she could see the idea excited the girl, but she was fighting it, thinking she should act more “manly” than that. But maybe if she can justify doing it as for her sister, she can forget to fight how feminine she is, and maybe heal a little at the same time.

Drea went to her own room to say a prayer to that effect before falling asleep.

Tomorrow could be a very interesting day .....

Dottie’s Dance Recital

Drea DiMaggio couldnt help but beam at her two little charges.

After months of upheaval, both girls needed something to bring them some smiles, and it turned out that taking ballet had done the trick, especially for Dottie.

With the support of her classmates, she was really coming out of her shell, letting her true feminine self show through.

Soon, she was doing the steps as gracefully as any other girls, and the teacher decided she and the other new students needed a reward, so she planned a little recital based on the ballet “Swan Lake” .

That created a small problem for her other charge Jaci, because at first she wanted to play the male lead, but the teacher wanted her to play the “Black Swan” - the daughter of the main antagonist in the story, but Drea was able to head that off by reminding Jaci that this might be a pivotal moment for Dottie, a step that would build her confidence in her presentation as a girl to the point where she could fight those occasions when she doubted herself.

Then the teacher dropped the big bomb - that she was bringing in a couple of boys to play the male parts in the production.

Drea wondered how little Dottie would handle this, but not long after the boy who was to play the prince came, she found out.

Dottie was obviously having a flashback, and the boy took her hand gently and spoke soothingly to her until the flashback stopped.

She thanked him shakily, and then went to Drea and Jaci to re-center herself , but she was blushing every time she looked back at the young man.

Several weeks past, and then the day of the production came.

Jaci was amazingly graceful, but there was no question that Dottie was the star of the show, and her joy at being free to be a girl was like a light that illuminated the whole room.

The play ended, and Dottie and Jaci would be waiting in the dressing room.

Drea hoped that Dottie would like the little surprise she had for them ....

Dottie, Jaci, and the rest of the dancers were in the dressing room, giggling and congratulating each other when Drea came into the room.

“You were amazing, girls. And Dottie, I have a surprize for you.” Drea said, and then stepped aside to let the person behind her in the room.

“M... Mom?”

Dottie’s mother looked ravaged from the cancer treatment, but she managed a smile.

“Hey sweetie. You looked beautiful tonight.”

Dottie blushed, and said, “Are you .... okay?”

“Not yet, sweetie. But I’m fighting. There’s a little girl I want to see grow up. And based on what I’ve seen, and what Drea told me about you and a certain young man, I would say that wouldn’t be too long in coming.”

“Oh mom!”

Dottie’s First Dance - A Jaci and Dottie Story

Dottie put her hands on her “magic” Princess Charm School dress, and for the first time since she had found it in her closet, she trembled at the prospect of putting it on.

She had loved the charm school class, and especially wearing the dress, but today was different.

Today, she would dance.

And not alone, she would be joined by a boy, a prospect that still gave her the willies just thinking about.

Could she do this? She desperately wanted to be able to pass the charm school class, and today was a big part of that, but dancing? With a boy?

She gritted her teeth, and put on the dress.

“I can do this, I can do this...” she thought.

Tante Drea split her time between checking on Dottie and checking on her sister Jaci, who was having similar problems, but eventually both girls made their way to the class.

Dottie said nothing when they arrived, but gave Tante Drea’s hand a squeeze, drawing strength from the love and acceptance they shared.

Then the boys started to arrive, and Dottie watched carefully for the boy she thought of as Rugby Boy.

It was a double look at him that caused her to have flashbacks recently, but she found herself hoping he would be here anyway.

And he was.

He came toward her in a “Prince Charming” costume that took Dottie’s breath away.

“And I thought he looked good in a dirty rugby shirt ....” She thought.

When it became obvious he was to be her partner, the shakes she had fought all day got worse until she could barely stand.

And then he took her hand, and the fear vanished behind .... other feelings.

She stammered about being a poor dancer, and he just gave her a smile, and said “Just relax, let me lead, and I promise not to step on your toes.”

The dance was simply magic, equal to anything Disney could have created.

When the class finally ended, and she sat down, he smiled at her a smile that turned her insides into putty, and said, “Thank you for the dance. You’re very good.”

Dottie stuttered, and said, “No, you’re very good. I ... I never caught your name.”

“Bailey. Bailey Summers.”

The words escaped before her fears could stop them. “I ...I dont suppose a guy like you would take a girl like me out for ice cream or something sometime?”

“I would, but I’m spoken for.” He pointed to a girl a couple of years older in the audience.

Dottie shook her head. “Of course you are.”

*****

Later, she recounted the whole event to Tante Drea as they curled up on the couch with her sister Jaci beside her, and wept a bit.

“I’m sorry, Dottie. You gonna be okay?”

“I ... I guess so Tante. Just being able to dance felt like such a big deal that anything more was probably asking too much. “

“And how was your dance, Jaci?” Tante Drea said.

Jaci composed herself, and took a breath. It was clear she had a story to tell too ....

'How did I let myself get talked into this?' Lil Jaci wondered to herself.

Moments ago Tante Drea had dropped both herself and Dottie at the front door of the St. Mary's Academy. The halls had streamers along them directing people to the main gymnasium where the dance for the Charm school girls was being held.

The two girls could not be more contrasting in moods and appearance. Dottie in her black and white knee lenght dress. The upper part of the dress was sleeveless with a remnant vintage styling wide lapel collar draping from her shoulders in black cotton over a white satin bodice with a small fabric white rose at the joining giving emphasis to her non existent bust. The black skirt draped down to her knees which were almost shaking. The waist of the dress hugged in Dottie's waist a bit to give her more curves than her body currently had.

Dottie had been so in love with the way the dress had made her look that Drea had to have both her and Jaci's dresses locked up her bedroom away from the two girls.

By contrast Jacilynn's red dress with its tiny spaghetti straps clearly emphasized her ample B cup breasts by drawing attention away from them. The cut of the bodice actually made them look a bit smaller but the dark line of her cleavage was on clear display. This dress also had small waist. However this one was a bit loose on Jacilynn's waist as she had lost a bit of weight over the week. The wide thigh high double tiered skirt gave the young girl an appearance of the the perfect figure. She had first picked the dress because it hide her hips a bit. The dress had a sash that tied in the back in bow. Drea had spent a number of minutes getting the bow to sit just right for Jaci.

The scowl on Jaci's face was a picture. She was upset because she was not allowed to wear her first pick of a more feminine tux version of the classic male suit. The skirt of the tux had reached her knees. The blazer had made her feel like her curves were well hidden. However Drea had vetoed the outfit telling Jaci that the dress looked better on her. Dottie had also gotten into the act at the store making Jaci believe that she looked more like a girl in the tux than the dress.

Dottie on the hand was terrified. She was more than a little nervous about dancing with boys. She had done okay in the practice session with the few local boys. But these boys were not local. In fact they were the young charges of St. Mary's opposite number. The private school for boys was only for the more elite of society. Most of the stories they had heard of these boys were mixed. The boys could be cruel. They could also be quite lavish with praise and expensive gifts. The girls at the school had inflicted those girls part of the Charm school classes with various stories over the past 2 days.

Jaci's hand was starting to get sweaty from the tight clasp Dottie had on her hand. As soon as Jaci would move it to try to get comfortable Dottie's grasp would tighten again. Dottie's heels were quite small being only an inch high. Heels still but not as high as Jacilynn's own two inches. Still Dottie was having some trouble keeping her balance in the heels while Jacilynn paid them no attention.

"Jaci I.. I can't go through with this. I'm scared! What will they think? I look awful.." Dottie started to pull back on her hand. Dottie was getting cold feet. Jaci ignored this in part but a small smile graced her face as she pulled back forcing Dottie to move forward in her unbalanced heels. Both girls were wearing real makeup for tonight. Not much being some powder, blush, eyeshadow, mascara and lipstick. The small fact that this made Jaci look pretty was lost on her.

Jaci refused to believe she was pretty. A boy like her parents wanted was not supposed to be pretty. As they entered the gymnasium the complements paid to her and Dottie on how pretty they both looked did not really sit well with her. Dottie however blossomed under the praise of the girls. She did look at Jaci from time to time with a strange look that baffled her. Across the gym from the group of girls was the boys all in their school uniform dress. The grey slacks, dark navy blazers with the ascots in place of ties. The blazers had the tails of the rather outdated higher classes.

The teachers acting as chaperones started the festivities off with classical waltz music. The training the girls had had over the past weeks enabled them to move, shyly, towards the boys in a straight line. Jaci was busy leaning over watching her sister halfway down the row from her to make sure she was doing alright. Thusly she missed seeing the three boys opposite her shuffling for position to be opposite her.

When she turned back the boys had settled down under the stare of some teachers out of her line of sight. They moved forward on que and took up position as the boys developed a sudden case of shyness to a one. It took some of the more male teachers to prod each boy forward. To a one they had eyes only for their opposite. The music started into the waltz proper and they couples started the first dance.

After 5 such fancy dances a break was called and the girls gathered together to gossip about their partners. Dottie had seemed to have lost her fear after the first dance. By the second she had actually started to enjoy the night. Jaci confessed that most of her partners had a problem with their feet or tongues thus far. To her confusion this was met with giggles by most of the girls. When she asked why they all said nothing leaving her frustrated.

At one point the proper decor of the dance was ruined when the Dj took a break and his prerecorded music switched to one of his mixed cds instead. The children now relaxed from the dances so far got treated to music meant for nightclub dance clubs.

At one point a favorite of Jacilynn's started to play. Selena Gomez - I love you like love song baby started to play. Jacilynn didn't notice at first before she fell into the same trance she would occasionally fall into at home. She closed her eyes and started to swing her hips side to side and her hands found their way sliding over her body before raising up over her head as she fell headlong into the dance. This got everyone else to start dancing while a braver boy than the others moved forward to dance with her.

Their moves were so coordinated that much of the crowd parted to watch the two dance around the floor. The small fact that Jacilynn was mouthing the words in perfect timing to the song as she danced was not lost on most of the watchers. Dottie was quite a sight herself as she bounced up and down on her feet giddily as she watched the girl that her sister normally kept locked up let loose.

The chaperones let the children have their fun as they danced away all their energy dancing to much of the latest pop dance hits. Dottie had no end of dance partners both boys and girls while Jacilynn was surrounded constantly by many boys.

At the end of the night when Drea picked up the two exhausted girls she got a reply that it was nice night before both girls passed out against each other in the back seat before she even got out of the parking lot.

How she was going to get two girls in finery into the house by herself was a mystery to her but Andrea would not ruin their night for all the tea in china. When she had left them both she had feared for her girls one being overly nervous the other upset at having to be so obviously girly. The two young women in the back seat of her car sleeping like princesses brought small tears of happiness to the older woman's eyes.

Tante Drea Remembers…
A Jaci and Dottie Story

* * *

Drea looked at the sleeping girls in the back seat. Time enough to get them into the house and to bed. She smiled as she thought of another dance a long time before; a time and a place that held memories, to be sure, even if they were entirely bittersweet.

* * *

“Can…can I dance with you?” The boy looked at the pretty girl with his head down and eyes up; an awkward if entirely common stance. He didn’t bother to wait for the reply since all the replies were the same.

“Robin…can I?”

“No!”

“Cindy…can I?”

“No!”

“Sue?”

“No!”

The only girl who might have said yes never went to dances; Nancy preferred instead being home to read a book or do sewing than being just once more awkward and too-tall in a gym filled with pretty girls. A missed opportunity to be sure, but the boy understood; he never felt comfortable either; not around girls for sure, but mostly in his own skin. The odd and shameful feelings of wonder and amazement upon seeing a girl in his class wear shiny hose and the uncomfortable frustration when she asked what he was looking at. What had been really a complement of sorts was taken the wrong way and earned him a rude shove from a protective suitor.

“Robin?” The name echoed in his head. There was something so strange but nice about the feelings he had. Those stirrings of feeling close; not as a suitor, but as a sister. A feeling which quickly turned to embarrassed shame when he realized just what and how he felt about Robin d’Artaglia; how he wanted to be just like her. Not the first time for those feelings, but the first time in understanding just what those feelings meant.

* * *

“Tante?” Jaci whispered from the back seat. “Are we home yet?”

“Yes, honey. We’re home.” Drea echoed the soft word but Dottie was already stirring as well.

“Do we have to go to bed?” She looked at Jaci; the conspiratorial grin on Jaci’s face nudged Dottie only a little since she wanted to stay up to talk. Both girls plead with wide-open eyes and silly grins and batting eyelashes like an old movie. Drea sighed and nodded yes to the plea and a few moments later they were getting ready for at least a reasonably extended bedtime. All three sat on the couch; Drea was at one end, her legs curled up beneath her.

“You should have been there.” Dottie said. “It was so much fun.”

“You should have seen Dottie,” Jaci said with a big smile and a small giggle. The two regaled her with the various wonderful moments that lifted them throughout the evening. In a while they had run out of energy and were just smiling and giggling. Drea smiled at them and grabbed their hands; walking them to bed. In a moment they were tucked in and seconds later they were fast asleep.

“You should have been there,” she heard Dottie mumble in her sleep.

“Yes, honey.” She walked back and kissed them on their foreheads before turning out the light. She sighed a quiet sigh and wiped the tears from her eyes with the sleeve of her chenille robe.

“I should have,” she said finally as she walked out of the room, remembering a sad and scared and confused boy long ago. And she thanked God that these two would have many more dances and many more times to become exactly who they knew they were meant to be.

Growing Pains- a Jaci and Dottie story

Dottie stopped reading her book and scratched her chest again, which she had been doing all day when she thought no one was looking.

Finally, she finished the chapter she was reading, and put a bookmark in the book, and put it on her nightstand, and got out off her chair.. She winced when she moved, but started searching for her sister and playmate Jaci, finally tracking her down in the living room. Jaci was watching a cartoon called “young justice” and eating peanut butter straight out of the jar with a spoon.

Dottie found that habit gross, so she snuck up behind her sister, poked a finger in her back, and said in her best John Wayne voice, “Drop that there peanut butter, varment!”

Jaci jumped, dropped the jar, which bounced because it was made of plastic, and squealed.

Turning around she said, “Dottie! You scared me!”

“Well, pilgrim, you deserved to be scared for eating peanut butter right from the jar.”

“Who are you supposed to sound like? I dont recognise her.”

“Not her, him. John Wayne.”

Jaci giggled, and said “No way, pilgrim, this is what John Wayne sounds like”

Dottie laughed so hard she had to take her glasses off to wipe the tears from her face, giving Jaci time to grab the jar of peanut butter and run toward her room with it.

“Can’t catch me!”

“Come back here, you thieving varment!” Dottie hollered, and then raced after her. The two girls raced around, giggling, until Dottie caught up to Jaci and started tugging on the jar of peanut butter. The two girls wrestled for a moment, and then Dottie won, pulling the jar toward her chest.

Only to drop it screaming a moment later.

“Dottie! What’s wrong?”

“My breasts, I hit them. Ohhh, that hurt ...”

“Let me see.... Dottie, why aren’t you wearing your bra?”

“It ....got tight. My breasts have been itchy and sore and then my bras got tight.”

“Dottie? Are your breasts growing?”

“I ... I think so. I wanted this, but it hurts ...”

“Well, we’ll get some cream from Tante, and I guess we’ll have to get you a new bra.”

“No! We cant tell Tante!”

“Why...why not?”

“Because they arent supposed to grow yet. Tante said they wont until I get on hormones. How can they be growing if I dont have any female hormones?”

“I dont know. But Tante will figure it out, or we’ll go to the doctor, why wouldnt that work?”

“Cause I remember how they treated Tante when you started bleeding. They acted like she made the whole thing up! And this is worse, if they think Tante has been giving me hormones before I’m supposed to have them, she’ll be in trouble, and they’ll take us away from her. We ... cant .... tell her!”

“But ... what do we do then?”

“I dont know, Jaci.”

Dottie wept, and Jaci held her tight, and the two girls clung together for several minutes, and then Dottie wiped her eyes, and said, “I ... I gotta go to my room and see if I can find something to hide these.” She walked away still holding her chest, and Jaci fought her own tears and headed to her own room to cry in private.

“What do we do? What do we do?” Jaci said to herself, not knowing that Dottie was asking the same question in her bedroom.

“What do we do?”

“Dear God, what do we do?”

Growing pains part 2 - A Jaci and Dottie story

Dottie had been through a tough time.

Ever since she realized her breasts were growing, it had dominated her thoughts, and had led to some behaviors that her friends found troubling.

In her mind, her small chest was blowing up like a balloon, and soon she would have watermelon-sized breasts, then even bigger, until she couldnt stand or walk without falling forward. She imagined herself needing a wheelchair with a large table across her chest to support her massive mammaries .....

Not only that, she felt sure she was going to get attention from boys, attention she had no idea how to handle or even think about much without shaking. She had dreams of having boys so focused on her chest that her head could detach and launch itself into space and they wouldn’t notice ....

All of this had combined to drain her mental resources to their limits, leaving her tired, weak, and shaking. She lost her appetite, was having trouble sleeping, and had fought off more flashbacks in the last week than she had faced in the last six months prior. Normally bright and cheerful and loving hugs, she had turned into a shuffling zombie who flinched whenever anyone tried to touch her ...

Her friends at school were concerned, but her sister Jaci was even more worried, because only she knew of the secret Dottie was trying to keep - that her breasts were growing, in defiance of all the logic of her biology.

Finally, Jaci knew she had to take matters into her own hands, before Dottie got so bad nothing would help.On a Sunday morning, when instead of wearing a pretty yellow sundress that was normally her favorite church outfit she was wearing jeans and a baggy sweater in an attempt to hide her breasts, Jaci took the girl by the hand and took her back to her room. She then lifted the sweater off and began to do the same for the jeans. Dottie weakly tried to protest, but she didnt stop her sister until she was back in her underwear, and Jaci was fitting a bra on her.

The bra fit, and Jaci said, “You’re a full A-cup now, Dottie.

Dottie nodded numbly. she knew her old bras were now too tight, which had been the first sign that something was wrong with her.

Jaci then grabbed the sundress out of the closet, and lifting Dottie’s hands up, slid it over her head and into place.

Dottie kept saying “Tante will see .... Tante will see ...” but again she offered no resistance.

Once Dottie looked more like she was supposed to for church, Jaci led the girl out to the kitchen to find Tante Drea waiting for them with a stack of pancakes.

Jaci watched her sister push around pieces of her pancakes, and said, “Tante, after church, we need to have a family meeting.”

“Of course we can. But what brings this up?”

“Dottie has something to .... get off her chest.”

Despite herself, Dottie giggled.

“Is that true, Dottie?”

“Y...Yes Tante.”

Drea managed to contain her curiosity until the church service was over, but as soon as they said their goodbyes, she took the two girls home, and sat them down in the living room.

“Okay, Dottie, you’ve been upset for a while now. . I wish I had done something sooner, but obviously whatever is bothering you has come to a head. So will you please tell me what it is, so I can help?”

“Tante, my breasts are growing. I cant wear my old bras, and I borrowed one of Jaci’s today. I ... I got scared when I saw them grow, because you told me they wouldnt until I was on hormones, and I ‘m not yet. I... I... thought they would think you were giving me hormones on the sly, and ... take me away from you.”

“Oh... sweetie. You mean I never told you about the tests you took at the hospital? They said it was possible you have an undeveloped ovary, but they werent sure. One of the ways we would know for sure was if you started showing signs of increased female hormones, like growing breasts. We will have to go to our family doctor, but nobody is going to get in trouble.”

Dottie burst into tears in relief, and Drea and Jaci held her tight, letting her feel the love and acceptance they felt for her flow through into the sobbing girl until she ran out of tears, and then Tante Drea decided that a good supper with a little bit of ice cream for dessert would be the thing to do next, and with one thing and another, time passed until the two little girls went to their respective rooms to sleep.

Dottie cuddled up with a large stuffed dog and tried to organize her thoughts, which were going in a hundred different directions at once. She tried to picture the ovary as a secret ally, helping her become a girl without anybody even knowing. She smiled at the thought, and then remembered she had more than just the ovary helping her - she had a lot of people who were also doing their best to help her be the person she knew herself to be, and right at the top of the list was Tante Drea and her big sister Jaci.

Breathing a word of thanks for them both, she then closed her eyes, and went to sleep.

Tomorrow would be another day ....

Lil Jacilynn stomped into the housedoor after being out trick or treating for only 10 minutes. Hey eyes were almost overflowing with unshed tears as she removed the piece of black cloth covering her eyes. Tante Drea came into the living room to see who was in her house. Her own costume as a sexy witch missing only her hat and her other eye done in a smokey sexy look missing. She took on look at her young charge and instinctively rushed to Jaci's side and pulled her into her lap for a hug.

"What are you doing home so early Jaci? We you not with Mr. and Mrs. Henderson trick or treating?"

"I was but people were making fun of my costume." Sniffle

"Sweetie are you sure maybe they were complimenting you instead?"

"No they weren't!" sniffle"They all wondered which girl baddy I was?"

"Well I guess..."

"It's not fair! I'm obviously a boy dressed as Darkwing Duck and they wondered if I was some villaness from Buffy!"

"Sweetie how many...Uhm look sweetie maybe people are not ready to see you dressed up as a boy. Maybe it would be best if you went with that other costume.."

"Tante I'm a boy! I can't dress up as Sailor Venus!"

Tante drea spent a good 10 minutes consoling an upset Jaci before she convinced her to go to her room and try the other costume. She knew that Lil Jaci would have no problems passing as the cute girly hero from that older cartoon. She did wonder where Jaci had gotten the Duck costume from. She had to admit though that if the costume was on a boy they might have figured it out.

Taking care of lil Jaci was a chore. She may have been born with male looking genitals but she was no boy. Everything she did, from her smallest mannerism, to the way she talked screamed girly girl. The poor thing couldn't even wear pants of any type but still she tried to act like she was a boy. At times it broke poor Andrea's heart to see how hard the girl tried to be a boy. That thought was broken by, once more, the front door opening and slamming. Before she knew what was going on a pink and winged blur was in her lap sobbing into her breasts.

"fuffle luffle muffle shuffle!" was the noises the golden glitter covered girl in arms spoke deep into her chest. Pushing the little girl back with her arms Drea, to her friends, gazed upon her other charge. Dorothy was almost the opposite of lil Jaci. Where Jaci tried to be a boy Dottie tried to hard sometimes to be a girl. Although neither of the girls would ever be mistaken for a boy, Dottie's biggest problem was self confidence.

At times she was a normal girl of about 11, the same age as Jaci if a month or two younger, normally playing with her barbies in a pair of shorts or jeans. She did wear a short demin skirt from time to time but always with a plain tshirt. Jaci had been successful in getting Dorothy to wear a dress from time to time though. Currently she was dressed up as Disney's Tinkerbell.

"What's wrong Dorothy?" she asked the openly crying girl.

"Jaci ran off and there was some boys and I got scared!" ah yes Dorothy's other problem. The girl had an intense fear of boys after a rather nasty man had abused her a few years ago. Thankfully the man in question was serving a long prison sentence.

"Dorothy boys look at girls all the time. You should take that as the compliment that most boys intend it to be." Dottie just nodded and her crying slowed down.

"Jaci is in her room putting on her Sailor Venus costume. Why don't you go help her while I finish getting ready and then I'll take both you girls out trick or treating alright?"

"K" not even a word from Dottie but the meaning was understood.

With that a still sniffling but not crying Dottie trotted off to Jaci's room. Drea got up and returned to her own room where she sat at her vanity to finish applying the smokey eye look to her other eye. She was still fairly new to makeup herself having spent far to much of her own life fighting the inner demons to be the woman she knew deep in her heart she was born to be. How she ended up taking care of two younger trans girls as her very own still bewildered her mind.

She was still working the mascara into her lashes when a sudden commotion from the direction of Jaci's room reached her ears. This was followed shortly with a racing Tinkerbell running into her room with her arms full of dark material. She in turn was followed by Sailor Venus complete with the big red bow in her long auburn hair, the only flaw. Her modest sized small b cup breasts were made to look somewhat smaller under the costume but still leaving little doubt that the girl had some. This was a marked contrast to Dottie whose almost flat chest with its two small triangles made some people guess that she was much younger girl than she looked.

"Give me my costume Dottie!"

"No! Your wearing your costume this is just rags that should go in the garbage!" teased Dottie back. The two girls raced around the room laughing in spite of themselves.

"GIRLS!" Drea managed to say it without yelling just using a strong voice. Immediately the two girls stopped what they were doing and managed to look guilty at the same time.

"Dottie bring me that! Jaci sit on my bed!" Dottie shuffled along to Drea and deposited the remains of the Darkwing Duck costume into her waiting arms. Jaci went over to the bed walking with her unnoticed but strikingly feminine walk to the bed and sat down after running her hand under her skirt, another unconscious gesture.

"Go sit beside Jaci Dottie."

"Yes maam!"

The two girls sat on the bed being quiet while Drea finished her makeup. Or almost as after a minute Dottie said sorry to Jaci and the two hugged each other from the side.

"So what you think?" Drea asked when she was finished by standing up and opening her arms with a flourish at herself.

"So pretty!" Uttered Dottie.

"Shouldn't you have a wart on your nose or something?" Jaci asked with a puzzled look on her face.

"A wart! Why I'll tickle you my pretties!" Drea said with her wicked witch of the west voice. This made both girls eyes open wide before they both squealed and ran from her room. Drea looked after the two girls and shook her head from side to side as she could not figure out how Jaci managed to be able to run in her 1 in pumps with such ease. With a chuckle of her own she grabbed her witches hat and the bat shaped purse off the vanity before leaving her room and shutting off the light.

"Are you girls ready?" Drea asked the two giggling girls waiting by the front door with their plastic pumpkin bags for candy in their hands.

"Yes Tante!" they chorused in unison.

"Then lets go knock them dead!" Andrea smiled as the two excited girls walked out ahead of her.

Forgotten on the edge of the vanity was the Darkwing Duck costume.

Little Jaci frowns, and jumps down from her “lab”. Grabbing her ‘creation’, she goes hunting for Dottie.

When she finds Dottie, Jaci says, “Your huggles and girly germs have spoiled my attempt to create the ultimate manly man!”

Dottie looks at the Barbie in Jaci’s hand, and says, “Jaci, I’m not interested in playing Barbies right now.”

Jaci pouts, huffs, and then stomps off in search of Tante so she can tell on Dottie ...

End.

Lil Dottie got up from the couch. She smoothed her dress both front and back. She had just watched, for the twelve time, Frozen.

Dottie had fallen in love with the movie when it first came out in theaters. While she was not a redhead, being blonde, she felt more in tune with Anna. It was therefore not a surprise that she was humming one of her favorite tunes from the movie.

Looking towards the bedrooms she couldn't help but feel that connection yet again. For the last week Lil Jacilynn had been down with a very bad cold. She had fevers and hot flashes. She complained often about her throat being very sore and she coughed often. Not gentle easy on throat coughs either. More of the deep chest hacking coughs that lasted for minutes at a time and left her very weak.

Veille Tante Ruth had had to go home earlier in the week to deal with family issues of her own. Tante Drea had been doing her best to care for the very sick girl. Even Dottie was trying to help. She had put on one of Drea's dark cardigan sweaters and a white nurses cap and feed Jaci Chicken soup more than once. This usually ended up with a fair amount of the soup on Dottie as Jaci would inevitably cough in the middle of eating.

School for Dottie had seemed somehow lifeless and empty without her big sister there. Even though they didn't have classes together, it was just the knowledge that her sister was there for her. Now the hallways seemed huge. The classrooms smaller. And the other girls just seamed different. She was scared to go to school in truth.

That's not to say that Dottie had not worn her christmas present more than once. In fact she loved being a part of the Pinks. Her pink blouse with her name sew onto it just made her feel so much like a girly girl. Yet without her sister there she was beginning to feel like a fake.

Today a friend of Drea's was going to come and watch over them both. Papa Bru, as he preferred to be called, was not really a "papa" to either of the girls. And yet, both girls usually squealled "PAPA!" when he came to visit.

Papa would sit on his chair and both girls would rush into his arms. He would patiently put each of the girls on his knees and tickle them while they hugged him. Of course both girls would giggle until he let them go. It was just how things developed. As the girl's grew he couldn't hold both on his knees, though to be fair, he did try more than once to do just that.

Both girls would get excited and empty out their respective closet's when he came to visit to find the perfect dress, often in a hurry as the warnings of his arrival was usually a thirty minute call. Had either of the girl's known that the truth was he was already in town when he made the call. He was on the road most of the time and visits were never planned. However when he could get away for a visit he would. If there was time he would give his little girls, which is how he though of them, time to get ready.

Today was an exception. Papa Bru had phoned to talk to Drea for some reason. During the call he had received word that Lil Jacilynn was very sick in bed and that she was running out of vacation time to take care of her. Although more than an hours drive away he had immediatly offered to come watch the girls. There was never a question in his mind if it was a good idea. He just did it. His girls needed him so he would be there.

Cancelling appointments hurt but not as much as it would hurt to leave one of his precious to fend for themselves. Of course he knew Dottie would help. Or try too. Dottie's heart was so big but she got excited and over eagar to help. This often ended up with Dottie crying away in a corner in shame. Just hearing her sobs would break his heart.

Admitting to himself he realized that both HIS girls had him wrapped around their fingers. Strangely he never felt more proud of that fact. He had never once expected to have two daughters to dote on. It just wasn't in the cards for his future. And yet beyond all expectations he now did. He had also noticed that after being adopted by the girls, and more specifically his visits of the two, his sales had gone up. Twice over in fact. He was still puzzling that part out as he drove through the torrential downpour to get to his girls.

Dottie slowly walked up to Jacilynn's closed door. She opened it slowly and carefully. The Vicks vapourub and steam enveloped the room. Jacilynn was buried into her covers tossing and turning. Dottie couldn't help it as she started to hum a song.

"Do you wanna build a snowman.." she whispered.

"Come out and play.."

"I think it's over due... it's like youve gone away..."

From the muffled covers came a " Go way Dottie."

"Okay bye.."

saddened she shut the door to Jaci's room and continued singing the song. Slightly off key.

The reason Dottie was singing slightly off key is that she had not gotten completely used to her new voice. Before it was almost in a single tone but lately it had started to go up and down octaves. She hadn't noticed as she was terrified that any day her face would sprout ugly whiskers and her voice would become a booming basso male voice.

Lil Jaci turned over in her bed. Her breasts heaving she sat up and was immediately overcome with another coughing fit. At the end of the fit she was sweating badly and her throat felt like fire. She was so tired of this cold. She looked up at the canopy over her bed and wondered why god was punishing her so badly. She wasn't trying to be a girl. Everyone else kept putting her into the girl slot. Was it so wrong to want to be normal?

"If I be a good boy will you get rid of my c..." and she coughed and coughed again. At the end she was too tired and fell into a feverish sleep.

She was lookng around her room smiling at how peaceful it was and how pretty it was when suddenly the door to her room burst open and her father slammed his foot down. From his foot her white plush carpet turned to blue tough carpet. He slammed his hand against a wall. The pink and rose patterned wall turned to drab off white paint. The room became sparten as the barbies turned to gijoes. The unicorns on the shelf turned to race cars. And lastly her closet full of pretty dresses turned to ugly boy's suits and ties. Her bed turned to a dull boys bed and her nightie because rough boy's pajamas.

"Your a boy! You will NEVER be anything but a boy!" her father yelled before slamming the door closed. Lil jaci just sobbed in her bed.

Jennifer (Jenny to friends)Wauwatosa, nobody could ever pronounce it correctly which is why the girls commonly referred to her as Ms. W or Ms. Wawa it was just easier, was walking down the school hallway on her way to the staff room for a much needed cigerette when she passed by the door to the girls washroom. She later couldn't say what it was that alerted her but she sidestepped to the door and opened it onto a scene of chaos.

Two girls were on the floor wrestling with each other amid screeches. The blond haired girl whose back was to her was busying trying to stuff the longer black haired girl's hair down her throat with little success as the girl on the floor kicked with her legs upsetting the smaller girl ontop of her from succeeding.

All this seemed fairly normal to Jenny. Being a teacher at an exclusive all girls school where teenaged girls whose hormone levels ran rampant it was not unusual to find girls fighting. She chuckled to herself when she assumed, like many others, that a girls only school would not have such a thing as most girls in coed schools were very well behaved. The truth was that the girls seemed to not have to set an example to the boys and tended to be more aggressive during certain times of the year.

While the girls never punched someone, or tripped, they tended to fight a bit more ..vicious. Bites were not unheard of, nail scratching was a common one. Name calling amid ear splitting screeches being the norm. The girls on the floor had obviously gone beyond that though.

What really got her attention was the other girl on the floor a hapless victim. Her nose was gushing red blood over her hands as she tried to stem the flow and amazingly not get any on her blouse. Jenny rushed over to her with paper towels and pressed them into the girls nose.

"Break it up!" She said calmly but firmly. The two girls who had been oblivious to her immediately separated. She recognized them both. Dorothy Bellion was one of her students and usually well behaved. The other girl Jennifer Cavazos was also one of her students but in an earlier class. At a guess the red haired girl whose face was in her hands at the moment could only be the sister to Dorothy. Jacilynn Sevale had recently transferred into the school not long ago. So far she had been a model student, always well behaved and quiet with the very proper mannerisms of a young lady. The only problem she knew of was the girl's rather annoying habit of saying she would be a good boy.

"Ms. Bellion, Ms. Cavazos Principal Anderson's Office now." She ordered to the distraught girls who immediately broke out into tears. She didn't know what the issue was yet but she was sure she would find out. She helped the young girl up and brought her to the sink to wash the girls bloody hands and have her bend over the sink where she helped the girl wash her face of the blood. Like most bloody noses it had almost stopped by now. She supported the shaken girl holding back her long auburn hair from getting into the sink. The girl was crying but was not letting herself do so openly. Once Jacilynn's nose had stopped she helped the girl up and patted her face dry. From the red mark on her face she guessed that the girl had been hit in the nose and her eye but just barely. Nothing looked broken but she would have a nice bruise or two. Shaking her head she escorted the girl down the hallways to the office.

Telsy Anderson sat behind her desk tapping her fingers on the desk while three girls were seated in front of her on the hard wooden chairs she kept just for that purpose. The fact the chairs were as old as the school and fit in with her office were just an added bonus. The three girls sitting opposite her were trying their best to hold back tears but were failing.

"Would someone care to explain why Ms. Wauwatosa tells me that you two were fighting on the floor while Jacilynn was bleeding?"

"It's all Miss Prissy's fault for complaining about her stupid period again."Jennifer pouted out.

"Is not! Your the one that was throwing tampons at her for the last two days!" Dorothy spat out in defense of her sister.

This was going to be one of those days.

"I'm calling your parents." she had the satisfaction of seeing the two girl faces drain of all color while Jacilynn just sat there with her head bowed down.

--SEPARATOR--

"Thank you for coming on such short notice Mrs. Cavazos, Ms. DiMaggio." She greeted the two other women warmly. She knew both women outside of school for vastly different reasons.

"I'm sure you are wondering why your charges are sitting outside my office." The irony of what she was about to explain was not lost on her.

"It would seem that Jennifer was jealous of young Jacilynn, and has over the past two days displayed her displeasure by throwing tampons at Jacilynn. Instead of reporting this to a teacher like she should have done Ms. Sevale hid the action so this was the first I had heard of it."

"Apparently Jacilynn had told Dorothy about the bullying. Thus when Dorothy witness such an act happening against her sister in the bathroom today Dorothy went to her defense. None of the girls have made it clear just how they got onto the ground but from what I can guess one of them kicked Jacilynn in the face causing her nose to bleed rather well. I suspect she will also suffer from a black eye in the next day or so. I cannot tell you how displeased I am at such behavior." Actually she was surprised the girls had not done more damage. Some of the other girls in the school had done way worse to each other than the two who had fought. From the small grin on Penny's face she obviously remembered a similar situation between the two of them 14 years ago at this very school.

"I do not understand. Why would this girl be jealous of Jacilynn?" Andrea DiMaggio asked.

"Well.. That's going to take a bit of explaining but first I need your permission Penny to explain a few things."

--SEPARATOR--

Lil Jaci sat on her chair with her hands in her lap hearing laughing voices from the principals office. Her sister Dottie was a few feet away on the same chair as what she was sitting on. Dottie was fussily trying to rearrange her uniform back into a semblance of neatness. Across from her on the other side of the hall to the office was Jennifer. Jennifer seemed terrified of something, much like the two of them were and trying to not show it.

"Why?" she hadn't even noticed she had spoken till she did. Across the way Jennifer's red rimmed eyes looked at the floor or hallway never meeting Jaci's face.

"Why are you jealous of me? What did I ever do to you?"

"Like you don't know!"

"She probably doesn't." Dottie spoke up from her spot. Jaci shot her a look and Dottie put her head down as she twiddled her legs back and forth under her skirt. Jaci was a little surprised when she looked back to see tears falling down from Jennifer's cute face. It was the pain on her face, much like the one she saw in the mirror for a long time that touched her.

"You complain about being a girl and want to be a boy. But you don't know how lucky you are to be a girl it hurts. Not that anyone believes you." Jennifer said before looking at the ground again.

"Wha.. but I ... It's ..." Jaci started to say.

"Oh please! Everyone knows you are so girly that you could never be a boy. Little miss proper that's what you are."

"But I'm not trying to be a girl!" Jacilynn finally got out.

"Gods.. See that's what annoys me most about you. You are not even trying and are such the perfect girl. You are so lucky that you will be able to one day give birth and you want to throw that all away. I would kill to be able to have babies." Realizing she said to much Jennifer quickly shut her mouth.

"But I can't have babies I'm a .."

"NO YOUR NOT!" Shouted Jennifer with tears of anguish. This alerted the women in the office to the girls outside.

--SEPARATOR--

Telsy sat in her office and contemplated how best to proceed with the matter. Both women were outside calming their girls giving her time to think. She found it quite amusing that three of the schools young transgirls were fighting over a misunderstanding. They were expressing their frustrations and jealousy.

Young Jennifer had started at the school 2 years ago a confused and frightened girl. Her mother and long time friend Penny had called her asking if it was possible to enroll her son as a the girl she felt she really was. Telsy had complied and the girl had almost been a model student till now. She was more than a little shy and rough at first but soon blossomed.

Dorothy had been the first charge of Andrea's, another friend for a different reason, to come to the school almost a year ago. Again a frighteningly shy young girl who was looking to blossom soon. Jacilynn her other charge had been at the school since the start of this term and was just fitting in. All three girls shared the same male origins. Yet it was Jacilynn who seemed to set the standard of how a girl should act, talk, and move.

Telsy remembered her own origins when her doctor had told her and her mother at the age of 12 she was barren. She had been put on some estrogen pills to help her develop the same as the other girls. It was not till she was 22 that she found out about CAIS. She had had a difficult time dealing with that. It was her meeting with Andrea, then still living as a male, who had helped her to come to terms with it.

Then there was the incident where, after she had learned she was barren, Penny had asked her in the bathroom on the second floor of this very school if she had a spare tampon as she had used the last of hers. She still did not remember the incident very well but she remembered how a teacher had broken the two of them up some of Penny's hair still in her own hand. After she had admitted to being barren Penny had been a good friend ever since. Penny had even offered to be a surrogate mother for her.

Telsy felt that the three girls could possibly be good friends after this when they found out. Still she did have to punish them. Now as to the punishment what would be a good reminder. She did not really have grounds to dismiss the girls from attending the school. However...

Meetings and Partings - A Jaci and Dottie Story

Dottie stood in the kitchen and shook.

“Dottie? You okay?” Tante Drea asked.

“Ccccaaant sssstoooppp shshshshaking....”

“Well, as long as that’s the case....” Jaci said, and handed Dottie a glass of milk.

“Wwwhaatss ththaattt forrr?”

“Well, since you’re shaking anyway, you can make me a milkshake.”

“NNNNNooot ffffunnnny ,.....”

“Jaci!” Drea glowered at her.

“What?”

“Dottie’s nervous about going to the hospital again. We have to help her, okay?”

“Okay. But I bet it would work.”

“Sssooorrry Tttante ...I’mmmm ssscarred.”

Drea hugged the girl and held her close for a while, until the shaking stopped.

“Better?”

Dottie nodded.

“Okay. Before we go, let’s do your fingernails, okay?”

“Okay Tante.”

Tante went into her room, and pulled out several bottles with different colors on them, and asked, “Which color?”

“Pink!”

“Like your toes?”

Dottie looked down at her feet, which were in white socks with a pink bow on the side by the ankle, and said, “Sure. Nobody’s gonna see my feet today, so they can look at my hands instead.”

“Makes sense to me.”

Drea quickly and carefully applied the polish to Dottie’s fingers while Jaci watched. Seeing her sister looking, Dottie asked “You want your fingers done, Jaci?”

“No way! I’m a boy, not some girly girl like you!”

Dottie looked at the blue sundress her sister was wearing, and shook her head, but said nothing.

“You really are nervous if you cant tease your sister, Dottie. But it will be okay, I promise.”

“They wont take out my over, will they?”

“Not unless they must, Dottie. Trust me.”

“Okay, Tante.”

The three of them got in their car, and drove to the hospital, and soon Dottie had taken off her yellow sundress and put on the pink hospital gown over her panties. She kept her socks on, since her feet were cold, and they were not likely to to interfere with the tests they were doing today.

Jaci tried to joke with Dottie, but the girl was simply too nervous to laugh with her, and finally, Jaci just held her hand while Tante Drea held the other, and finally, she was finished.

Jaci and Drea stepped out for a moment, and Dottie was half-dozing on the bed when two nurses came in to do some last checks before Dottie would be able to dress. One nurse said to the other, “She’s a cute thing, Cant believe the chart says she was born a boy.”

“Well, less of a boy than than they thought at the time, I guess.” The other said.

“Did you notice the last name? I know a patient with the same last name in the cancer ward, I wonder if she’s related?”

That statement shocked Dottie out of her doze, and she said, “There’s another patient with my name? Please, tell me who they are, they might be family?”

“Well, the patient’s name is Neoma, but ...”

“That’s my mom!” Dottie shouted, and jumped off the bed, and sped out of the room, running past Drea and Jaci.

“Dottie, what’s happening!” Drea shouted.

“My mom’s here, she’s in the hospital, I gotta go!”

Dottie then sped away, looking for the cancer ward. She looked at the hospital map on the wall, and then ran in the direction it indicated, and finally got to the ward. She went up to the nurse’s desk, and caught her breath before saying, “My mother is here, please tell me which room she’s in.”

“Room 4C-1, but I should ...” The nurse never got to finish that statement before Dottie had taken off, and moments later she found the room.

Outside the room she saw her brother, looking glum, talking to a doctor. Unsure about confronting her brother at the moment, she quietly slipped past the two to them, and went inside the room.

Her mother looked so frail Dottie started to cry before she reached the bed.

“D...Dorothy?”

“Mom!”

Dottie’s mom opened up her arms, and Dottie didn’t hesitate for a second, she bounded into them.

“Careful d.... Dorothy. You’re a little bigger than the last time you were on my lap.”

“Oh mom!” Dottie couldnt contain her tears, and she wept freely for a while, and her mother gently stroked her back. Finally, Dottie subsided, and asked, “What’s happening mom? Last time I knew you were ... still having trouble with me being a girl, and you looked healthy as a horse. What happened?”

“Well, to answer the first, I saw a video Drea made of you trying to be a boy with your .... sister?”

“A video of me and Jaci?”

Dottie’s mom nodded, and said, “And in that video, I didnt see a boy in girl’s clothes. I saw a girl, who couldnt even pretend to be a boy successfully. And I felt ashamed I hadn’t seen it sooner. Then Drea got a hold of me to tell me they found out you had an ovary, and well, I couldn’t hardly stand to think how I’d treated you. I hope you can forgive me.”

“Of course! All I wanted ... but why are you in the hospital?”

“I ... I have cancer, Dottie. Leukemia, and .... its not good. I’m sorry.”

“Oh mom!” Dottie cried, and hugged her mother tightly. Eventually, her sobs subsided, and exhausted by the stress of her day, she fell asleep on her mother’s chest.

Which is where she was a short time later when her brother came into the room.

As much as Dottie had changed, her brother had changed almost as much. He saw this girl on his mother’s lap, and shouted, “What the fuck are you doing here? That’s my mother!”

His outburst woke both Dottie and her mother, and so when he grabbed the girl to pull her off her mother’s lap, making Dottie squeal, her mother said, “MIke! Stop it!”

“But what is this strange girl doing here?”

“She’s not a strange girl, she’s your sister.”

“Sister? But ... Todd?”

“No. We got that wrong. She is and was a girl.”

Dottie continued to flinch and held onto her mother, but she managed to say “H... Hi Mike. I .... I really am a girl, they found out I have an ovary, and everything.”

Before her brother could reply, a nurse came in, and said, “What’s all the noise in here? We have a very sick patient here. You kids, out, now!”

“But she’s our mother!” Dottie said.

“Which means you can come back, later. and judging from how you’re dressed, you have somewhere of your own you’re supposed to be.”

Dottie looked down at the pink hospital gown she was wearing, and blushed.

“Come on, you two.” the nurse said.

Dottie slid down off the bed, and she and her brother went outside the room. When they were outside the door, her brother turned to her and said, “So, why are you dressed like that, anyway?”

“I ... I was here in the hospital getting checked about my ovary. They .... They think they might have to take it out, so it doesnt turn into cancer.”

“I ..I’m sorry I got so angry in there. I ... didnt recognize you.”

“I guess I’ve changed a bit since you saw me last. But you’ve changed a bit too. You look like a man, now.”

“Thanks.”

Just then, a nurse came up and said to Dottie, “Dorothy! There you are! Your Tante Drea and your sister are worried about you! You better come with me now, little missy!”

Dottie blushed, and said, “I better go. Probably gonna get grounded for this, but I’m glad I saw you and Mom.”

“I’ll make sure you get an update on her.”

Dottie stood up, and took the hand of the nurse, and said, “I’m ready now. Nice to see you, Mike.”

Then the nurse took the girl, and soon they were out of sight.

“Nice to meet you too.”

“Dorothy.”

I am gonna give fair warning this one is a bit hard.

Dorothy's hair was in two pigtails on either side of her head. The blonde hair just long enough to give that little girl look. Jacilynn's single braid with the little white bow on her waist length auburn hair almost a contrast. While both girls wore the same white blouse with the short puffy sleeves, pearl buttons and its almost see thru polyester material Jacilynn's breasts were already pushing the limits of the A cup bra she wore.

Dorothy's push-up bra gave her a pretty good approximation of breasts but she was otherwise still barely budding, however her cute lace camisole was just visable under the blouse. Both girls wore the same pleated tartan skirt and short blue blazer with the school crest. Dottie, as Jacilynn(Jaci) preferred to call her had opted for the knee lenght white socks while Jaci was wearing the white hose and white lace socks.

All in all the picture of two innocent young schoolgirls on their way home from school.

Jacilynn was excited today. Today was the day her parents would come take her home and love her. Dottie had tried to keep her calm all day at school but Jacilynn was having none of it. She was excited. It had been almost 2 years since the social lady had not returned her to her home from the hospital. She so wanted to go home and be the perfect daughter for her parents. She had been imagining them both giving her hugs with tears and appologies since she was told about it last night.

Dottie was not so happy she had grown to love her sister very much and the thought of being left alone again was tearing her heart in two. She did not want to lose her big sister. All day long she had watched the too fast clocks at school trying to think of some way to keep her sister. The whole bus ride she had prayed that the bus would be jammed in traffic or get in an accident or something. However the ride had been smooth and, if anything, just a touch faster than normal.

The two girls had got off at the previous stop as Jaci thought she could walk faster, young ladies do not run in a skirt, while Dorothy had hoped she could make her sister see reason and stay with her. Dorothy had thought she was making progress when they got to the house and their was a strange car in the driveway.

Jacilynn in her excitement almost all but dragged Dottie into the house. Dottie had tried to dig in her heels, but alas Mary Jane shoes did not provide much grip and she just slid instead. She was not sure but she was fairly convinced she stepped only twice.

The two girls stepped into the house and removed their shoes out of habit. Dorothy shoulders were slumped and her eyes were already threatening to overflow with unshed tears. Jacilynn was far to excited to notice though. She hopped into the living room but there was nobody there. As the girls headed to their rooms to change out of their school uniforms, Jacilynn for the last time, they could overhear mumbling and the slight raised voice of people in the kitchen whose door was closed.

Jacilynn rushed to her room while Dorothy looked at the strange door to the kitchen. She did not even know the kitchen had a door. The muffled voices sounded upset. However this was not important she had a sister to save and went to Jaci's room.

Jaci's uniform was laying partially on the bed and mostly on the floor. Her closet was open and from the looks almost empty already. The suitcase on the floor with some bits of cloth hanging out here and there the evidence of a hasty packing. Jacilynn removed the last dress from its hanger. It was her special dress. The dress she had purposely gotten for when her parents would finally come for her. It was too much for Dorothy as she began to cry in ernest.

"Jaci don't go!"

"Dottie isn't it exciting! Mummy and Daddy are finally here to take me home and love me as a daughter!"

"Jacilynn. Please don't go! I don't want your to go. I need you! Stay with me please."

"I'm too nervous. Dottie can you help me zip up my dress please. Pretty please."

Dorothy helped zip up Jacilynn into her pink party dress with its white satin peterpan collar. The white sash showed off her curves to perfection. While the dress was a little on the young side for the almost 12 year old girl it was the dress she had envisioned her parents hugging her in for quite some time.
Turning around Jacilynn enveloped Dorothy in a tight hug.

"Don't cry Dottie. I'll still be your sister and we can talk everyday over the phone and everything."

"But it won't be the same! You wont be wiff me at school." Her tears dropping into the delicate fabric of Jaci's dress.

"I love you sister."

"I love you too."

With that Jacilynn grabbed her heavy suitcase and dragged it out of the bedroom with both hands. Dorothy shuffled behind her with her head bent down as she looked at the floor. The two girls walked into the livingroom just as Tante Andrea slammed the door shut. Drea, to her friends, leaned against the door trying to compose herself.

"Where is mommy and daddy?" Asked a suddenly scared Jacilynn. Drea looked up into the eyes of a girl whose happiness faded before her very eyes to one of fear.

"Jacilynn Honey..." Drea started.

"No Mummy and Daddy are here for me I have to go to them now."

"Honey please listen.." She tried again to get through to her charge.

"No" Jacilynn was having none of it. She dropped her heavy suitcase and shoved a startled Andrea to the side, a no mean feat for the young girl, opened the door and rushed out just to see her parents car start driving away.

Jacilynn's tears started to fall down her face as she ran after the quickly moving car.

"Mommy! Daddy! Don't leave me!" she yelled before she stopped and fell to her knees on the grassy boulevard. Raising her hand to her eyes the young girl shed tears of pain.

Andrea who was still in the same spot beside the door crumpled to the floor shedding tears of her own heaving for the pain she knew her charge was in. She did not know how she was gonna help the poor devastated girl. Looking up she saw Dorothy just standing there looking at her with her own tears pouring out of big wide open eyes.

"Dorothy go put your sisters clothes away please."

With that Andrea stood up on shaky legs and walked out to fetch her daughter. A daughter as surely as if she had given birth to her herself.

Comments pretty pretty please!

Tante’s Birthday - A Jaci and Dottie story

Drea knew something was up by how good her two charges were being.

Not that Jaci and Dottie were bad, per se, but they were usually teasing each other about which one was more girly and today they had both been on their best behavior.

Plus, Dottie, the younger of the two, was playing with her medic-alert bracelet, a habit she had developed soon after being given one, which she did when she was thinking, nervous, or upset.

After fidgeting for a while, Dottie came up to her and said, “Tante, I was thinking, can you get some cupcakes for school? We’re supposed to take turns bringing treats, and maybe I should get my turn over with.”

“I guess I could do that, Dottie. You and Jaci will be good while I’m gone?”

“We’ll be good.”

Drea smiled, and kissed the girl on the forehead. Then she grabbed a coat and her purse, said “goodbye” to Jaci, and went out the door.

Shortly, she found herself looking at the bakery department of her local grocery store, trying to find something suitable for Dottie’s class. “It used to be so easy. But now you have to think about making sure anything going to school is nut-free and gluten-free.”

Finally, she found what she was looking for, and went to the checkout counter. A few minutes later, she was headed back home her new purchase in a bag.

She opened the front door of her house and heard “Surprise!”

Inside the house were all of her friends, especially Ruth who had become “gran-Tante” to her two charges, who were grinning and holding homemade cards that they handed to her.

Dottie’s card especially moved her, as it said, “I love my mom, but I feel like I got two moms, and one of them is you.”

Drea felt the tears flow as she hugged the girls, and as she thanked the guests, she thought to herself that she was amazingly blessed. Friends, family, and especially two little girls who loved her with all their hearts.

“Happy Birthday, Tante!” They said together as they gave her another hug.

“And many, many more!”

Andrea shook her head. Dorothy was so cute with her idea.

"It works for plants. Indeed!" She muttered.

Jacilynn had been quiet for some time in her room. Andrea gently tapped on the door of her newest daughter. There was no answer. Fearing another flashback episode Andrea opened the door and looked in.

There was no sign of Jacilynn however there was signs of a struggle of sorts. On the bed was a pair of jeans. While Andrea knew they were girls jeans they did look the same as a pair of boys jeans. Normally this would not be an issue but for Jacilynn Andrea knew it was.

The poor girl had the worst aversion to male clothing she had seen. To most trans people male clothing was a costume at best or "icky" at worst. To little Jacilynn it was something else. Andrea had a good idea what it might be but until Jacilynn opened up and told her what had happened she could not really do anything.

Jacilynn's former foster Mom had pointed out that while Jaci loved dresses and pretty clothes when she let down her guard, the rest of the time she only appeared to tolerate them. Andrea had to agree. She had taken the girls shopping not long ago. Both of them made a b line straight to the girls section not once looking at boys clothing.

Andrea thought back to the excited young girls giving the sales lady armfuls of clothes to try on. Just about every piece was a dress or skirt and top. Dorothy had a few shorts in her mix. Jacilynn's smile was so wide in that unguarded moment. She really was quite pretty when she smiled.

Andrea made her way to the bed, more out of habit than anything else, when she spotted Jacilynn's head on the otherside of the bed near the dresser. Walking around the bed she found her sitting on the floor silently crying. Jacilynn was only in her plain boycut panties and her bra. From the looks of it Jacilynn would soon outgrow her A cup bra and move to a small B cup.

The disturbing part was that Jacilynn's panties were also dark down below. The poor girl was not wearing a pad again. Andrea wished the girl would allow herself to be scanned. But the girl was not ready. Andrea suspected that Jacilynn was much more of a girl than she appeared to be. However she also was not ready to accept that.

Looking around Andrea found the box of pads. They were sitting near the trashcan. Andrea was glad Jacilynn's aim was so bad. Buying pads still felt like an intrusion to her. Still she needed them for the whole 3-5 days that she bled. Jacilynn was a bit of a mystery to the doctors. She would not sit still for any scan no matter how hard they tried. But when you looked at her bottom side it looked just like a boys should.

Yet once a month out of her behind she would bleed. It was not always red red either sometimes it was sorta brown. The doctors tested the blood and while it could be menstrual blood it could also be something else. Since the girl was not getting sick, running fevers, or experiencing anything more than mild cramps they left it be. The doctor had suggested sedating the child but Andrea felt that would do more harm than good to the delicate girl at this time.

Andrea retrieved the box of pads and put them back onto the girls vanity with its wide assortment of cosmetics. She removed one pad from the box and brought it with her. Sitting down on the floor was not as easy as it used to be in her youth but she did it. The girl did not look like she was having a flashback but was sad. So she did the best she could and gently rubbed the girls back and waited.

"It's not fair!" uttered Jaci from the direction of her knees. Again Andrea just waited.

"Why can't I be a normal boy?"

This was going to be a long night.

Jacilynn entered the house and all but threw her purse on the sideboard. Mostly because she missed and the purse slid across the floor into the living room.

She was angry from being so embarrassed. Earlier today Dottie Mom had shown up and after the first few minutes of the visit Jacilynn was asked, politely of course, to maybe go to the mall and shop.

"It's not my fault! If that bitch had not tried to hurt my sister I would not have done that!" she mumbled to herself.

--SEPARATOR--

"Mom" Dottie had said.

I was still wondering who Todd was. The older lady, well not ancient or anything maybe 30, was standing there in a blue dress with white and yellow flower print on it. A simple and conservative dress. Although her handbag and nail polish didn't match the outfit at all at least her shoes did. Still she gave me a really bad feeling.

"Todd you look uh very nice." She says. Who the hell is Todd?

"My name is Dorothy!" Dottie said. Is she supposed to be Todd? I wish someone would tell me what is going on.

"THAT IS NOT THE..." She started in an angry voice before she forced herself to continue in a more civil tone"I see uh Dorothy. I bet your outfit"she said it like it was a costume it made me angry"got noticed if you were out dressed up like that."

"Mom it's not a cry for attention! This is just who I am! Why don't you get it!" I could see Dottie start to cry and then things went a little funny.

The next thing I knew I was being pulled away from the lady, I would not call her a mother, as I was trying to kick her ankles. My arms were trapped in her hands.

My throat felt funny and dry like I had been yelling or screaming or crying. I'm not sure which. When I stopped trying to kick her and calmed down Tante Drea took me aside and gave me some money and my purse and told me to go to the mall. I don't really remember walking to the local mall as I was still upset.

The mall is not really a big one since its local. Like maybe 20 stores in total with a Safeway as the big one at one end. There is a couple of stores with clothing. No big names like Gap or Garage clothing or Mariposa. I saw a skirt that was kinda cute but they didn't have one in my size. Alot of the stores were geared for old folks. There was a Hallmark but it was closed. Some antique stuff that looked okay. The arcade is more a boy's thing so I went there to try to prove myself.

I did a few turns at Dance Dance revolution, I know its ancient but it was there, I can play pool or those hockey things. Racing games I'm bad at. I was waiting in line to play some fantasy game when I got bumped aside by some older kid.

"Go play with your dolls girlie." I should have gotten mad and punched him, well that's what boys do don't they? Nope the tears started all on their own. I hate how easy it is for me to cry. I walked away instead as all interest in the lame game was gone. After awhile my bladder was getting insistent that I empty it.

Since I'm a boy I headed towards the mens room to relieve myself. I got intercepted by the same stupid boy.

"The little girls room is over there." He shoved me towards the girls room.

"I can't use the ladies room I'm a boy." I expected to get called names or shoved or the usual boys being mean stuff. He laughed at me. Then some of the others crowded around us.

"Move away I need to use the bathroom" I asked well not nicely exactly but I did ask.

"Oh girl that was a good one. "I'm a boy"she says." Some of the other kids around me started to laugh as well. I just told the truth why was it so funny?

"Honey come with us." one of the girls attempted to pull my arm towards the ladies room.

"I'm not a girl I'm a boy and I am supposed to use the boys bathroom!" I said it a little loud I guess. The kids started to laugh more, even the girls, when the Arcade manager person in charge stepped over. It had to be a woman.

"Young lady what do you think your doing trying to get into the boys room?"she asked me.

"But Maam I really am a boy and.." I didn't get to finish as she grabbed my arm painfully and pulled me into the ladies room.

"Do your business young lady and then I'm escorting you out of my arcade."why was she mad at me. I was just telling the truth. I sat down on the toilet to pee and then wiped myself. I got out and went to sink to wash my hands. While I was there I checked my face. Eyes were a bit puffy but no runs in my mascara. Not that Tante would let us wear much for makeup anyways. The two other girls in the bathroom giggled at me. I didn't care anymore stupid girls.

"I have half a mind to call your parents to come get you young lady. Imagine a pretty little thing like you thinking she was a boy. Of all the nerve."

"They don't care about me. They left me with a lady and won't even let me see them anymore." and the tears start up again. I can't help it I miss mommie and daddy so much. I don't understand why this is happening to me. The lady's face lost its anger and was replaced by pity. I have seen enough women look at me with pity I can recognize it. She knelt down and hugged me. I cried even harder into her shoulder I don't know why they just kept coming.

"I try and try to be a boy for mommie and daddy but they still don't want me and it hurts and I can't wear pants and I has these stupid breasts and I bleed and.." I just let it out. I shouldn't be doing this into her shoulder but I couldn't stop myself. She did the "there there" thing that it seems almost all adult women do. It helps as I feel a little better anyways.

I may be 11 and over 4 feet led me to the vanity. The girls who had giggled at me before were now blotting their eyes for some reason. The lady used some paper towel and wiped under my eyes with it. I felt like a baby at that counter. When she was satisfied I looked better she held my hand and escorted me out to the front. She talked with someone in a door that led to some back room. She came out with a small plush toy. It's a pink cuddly creature that doesn't really look like anything.

I know boys do not like that sort of thing and I tried to refuse it but it was so cute. I offed to pay for it with some of the money Tante gave me from my purse but she told me know as it was a gift. I almost forgot my manners but I did say thank you to her and gave her a smile. Seeing my smile she put her hand to her mouth and ran into the back room.

I left the arcade carrying the pink cuddly staring at the floor infront of my feet, at least this way my smile would not scare anyone else.

It was not fair it was that stupid boys fault! If he had just let me use the mens room I could have stayed and played. But no I have to get treated like a girl it was humiliating, it was embarrassing to always get mistaken for a girl.

I walked home putting one foot infront of the other with each step my anger grew.

That stupid lady thinking she was Dottie's mom. Calling Dottie some boys name when she is clearly a girl!

Maybe If I dressed more like a boy this wouldn't keep happening to me. I entered the house and threw my purse. It missed and skidded onto the living room floor. I didn't even notice if that woman was here or not. I looked out the window and didn't see a car.

"Dottie? Tante?" I didn't hear a reply at all. I was like the house was empty. I got scared my imagination saying that they all left me alone. I guessed that woman had convinced Dottie she was a boy and they went to the police so that I could be taken to a crazy place. Tears formed in my eyes at the though of being alone.

I walked to my room when I heard a noise from Dottie's room. Hoping that my family was still here with me I looked in. On the floor coming out of Dottie's open closet was feet. Feet is a good sign. Curious I walked in and looked into the closet.

On the floor of the closet was Dottie and Tante. Tante was holding Dottie from the side and Dottie cried and cried. I don't know why but I went to hold my sister. As I sat down on some of her shoes, she has this thing about shoes, which was not comfortable to sit on. I moved myself over to the other side of my heart sister and with my own tears I hugged her.

"Ja...Ja...Jaci?"she asked.

Happy Birthday, Jaci! A Jaci and Dottie story

Author's note: Sorry this is so late. Real life, what can you do with it?

Little Dottie woke from a “wet dream” more upset than aroused.

Having them at all was very new to Dottie, but their mere existence wasn’t the problem.

Tante Drea had warned her that things like them might happen to her, so in a way, she had been prepared.

But she hadn’t been prepared for their content.

In the dream, she had been joined in something like a dance, but when the image of her “partner” cleared, - it had been foggy at the beginning - she saw Bobbie, but not the Bobbie she was now dating. He was wearing girl clothes which he sometimes did for her, but his face, his body ... she was sure he was much more female than male, with only a bulge in his panties betraying the fact he’d ever been anything else.

Dottie sighed, and tried very hard to not reflect on what that might mean.

Today was going to be a special day, and she didn’t want to spoil it ...

Meanwhile, over at Gran-Tante Ruth’s house, Dottie’s sister Jaci was waking up after having a simular problem during the night. Unlike Dottie, her wet dreams featured a boy who was all boy, - Keith, to be precise, but just the fact she was fantasizing about a boy was enough to send her into a spiral of confusion.

She struggled out of bed, and got dressed in the least girly clothes she could actually stand to wear, wishing once more she could tolerate pants.

Once dressed, she went to join Gran-Tante Ruth for breakfast, and as Ruth cooked some pancakes, Jaci asked the question that had been on her mind since she had been told she would stay here overnight instead of going home to Tante Drea - “why?”

“Because I wanted some time with you, see how you were doing.” Ruth said.

“I’m ...okay, I guess.”

“Okay? You’ve had a lot of changes and challenges in the last while. Your parents being ... well I wont say what I really think of them. And then there is now a boy in the picture too.”

“Keith”

“You like him?”

“I ... I’m not supposed to like boys.”

“I didn’t ask who you were supposed to like. I asked if you liked Keith.”

Little Jaci didn’t answer, but her blush spoke volumes.

After breakfast, Ruth sent her to watch TV, while she went out to “pick up a few things”.

Jaci nodded, but inside she was wondering why Ruth hadn’t mentioned what today was - Jaci’s birthday.

An hour or so passed, and then Ruth came back and said, “Come on, Jaci, we’re going to pick up Dottie.”

Jaci climbed into Ruth’s car, and they took off toward Tante Drea’s house.

What she saw there shocked her completely.

Tante Drea, Dottie, Dottie’s boyfriend Bobby, and Jaci’s boyfriend Keith were all there, wearing artificial muscles - under girl clothes, even Keith.

“We wish you a manly man birthday!” They all shouted.

Jaci burst out laughing.

“You guys? Manly men? Not hardly!”

We’re as manly as you.” Dottie said between giggles.

“Come on and help us cut the cake, girly girl.” Keith said with a smile.

“Okay, okay.” Jaci said, and the party really started.

Later, Jaci was sitting in a chair beside Keith, who had slipped off the pink tutu and fake muscles he had been wearing, leaving him in a swimsuit that caused Jaci to have trouble remembering she was supposed to be a guy.

“Happy Birthday, Jaci.” He said, and gave her a kiss.

And as the warmth of the kiss spread throughout her body, Jaci said to herself, “Maybe being a girl isn’t all that bad.”

“At least just this once ...”

End.

Dottie’s Birthday Dream

Author's note: This could very well be the last Dottie story. I hope you've enjoyed the series as much as I have writing them.

Dottie got ready for bed, and as she did she thought about her day. The day had included a belated birthday party for Dottie, and it had been the pinkest, frilliest, girly-est party in history.

In the privacy of her bedroom, Dottie could admit she’d loved having it that way.

Of course, she thought, the best part had been why it had been delayed - so her mother who was undergoing chemotherapy, could attend.

So Dottie had both of her families with her - her mother and her brother from her birth family, and Tante Drea, Gran-Tante Ruth, her boyfriend Bobby ...

And especially her sister Jaci, who she had come to love with all the sisterly love possible.

But now the party was over, and Dottie slipped on her favorite nightie - which was actually an oversize t-shirt with the name of her favorite band “Starlight Butterfly” on it. Then she spent a few moments cuddling the newest member of the household - a kitten named Extravagance, and finally turned out the light and closed her eyes and went to sleep.

And she dreamed.

In her dreams, she saw her future. She saw herself grow into a beautiful woman, graduate high school, and prepare for college. She saw herself having many adventures along the way, including meeting Starlight Butterfly in person and getting the autograph of the lead singer, Angel. She saw herself having to deal with low points, like breaking up with Bobby and worst of all, having to say goodbye to her mother.

But the main constant in all that was to come would be Jaci, who would be with her in good times and bad times, for as long as the two girls lived.

Dottie smiled in her sleep, Extravagance purred beside her, and all was right in her world, and would be, as long as she had such a family loving her.

The End?

Is this the end? Will there be more Dottie adventures? Only time will tell ..

Jacilynn was trying very hard to keep her emotions down today. The minutes slipped by far to fast for her. Although their regular school had let them out for the holidays yesterday today Jaci and Dottie were attending the Barbie Princess Charm School meeting.

Dottie was thrilled to be wearing her 'magic' dress for the whole day. Even though it really was just a copy of the famous Barbie movie uniform. Not the one at the end but the standard one at the beginning. Jaci wore a simular outfit. The plaid skirt with the small sash of the same material as the skirt but the pattern was at a contrasting angle.

The white silk blouse with its tiny pearl buttons and puffy short sleeves hidden under a purple vest that hugged her every curve. Jacilynn and Dottie were dressed identically to their class of 33 other girls all in matching uniforms. Most wore their hair like Jacilynn did with a small scrunchie holding a small section of hair in a tail on one side. Others such as Dottie whose hair was shorter had an assortment of hairstyles reminiscent of the movie. Dottie looked more like Portia if she was a blond.

Jaci had even asked Dottie to hold her book above her head and walk a bit as a bit of a tease. As an icebreaker it got everyone in class to giggle as Dottie could not keep a straight face.

For most of the day the two girls had spent it learning how to walk like a lady, dance like a lady, and talk like a lady. Now they were trying to have tea like a lady. Most of the classes were easy for Jaci and she did not know why. Dottie seemed to struggle with some of the classes such as walking. Jaci could balance 3 books easy while Dottie only had the one on her head for a minute or two before it fell. Some of the other girls couldn't even do that so she was not alone.

Jaci tried to keep her emotions in check but as the day wore on she would snap at people for no reason. She got admonished more than once by the snobby teacher for her behavior. Dottie for the most part looked at her with concerned eyes. She did ask once but Jaci brushed her off, perhaps a bit rudely.

As the day wore on there was time to mingle and Jaci found a place of silence to herself to reflect. She knew what was coming. It had happened last year and the year before that. She knew in her heart it was not really her fault but what was going to happen would make her lose the small family that really seemed to actually see her. It had happened before twice now. It hurt as it made Christmas a stiffed or painful affair for Jaci.

As she though back she had not really ever had a real Christmas that she could ever recall being as fun and joyful as others made it out to be. What was the fun of being given a stupid boys suit with the too small neck choking her? What was the fun in scratchy itchy socks and pants that you were forced to wear all day long while other girls your age or younger got to wear such pretty dresses that looked so fun and comfortable to wear?

Before long the break was over and she had to join the other girls in the large classroom now devoid of any desks and music being pumped in. It was a classical music that the teachers wanted them to learn to waltz to. They showed each of the girls how to step, how to move, how to swing. It was actually a very good workout. However if she heard another"Glide just like Jacilynn does" She would scream.

She was not the girl everyone seemed to believe she was. She should not be used as an example. It was wrong all wrong. She twirled to her left.

"Young man that is not for you! Only girls wear dresses and you are a boy!" she heard her mother say to her with that yelling whisper. She twirled to the right and skipped like a swan. A tear running down her cheek.

She could still see the cute dresses sitting on their little padded hangers at the store. All she had done was stop to touch the enticing fabric between her fingers. Her mother had grabbed her arm painfully and dragged her over to the mean man with the stupid suits.

"How many f**king times do we have to go through this shit*Blank* Your my god***m son and you will be a man when you grow up! Enough of this girly nonsense. Come here!her father pointed to his knee with that huge hand of his. She shouldn't have run but she did. She ran to hide under her bed in her room. Crying as she was right now. She could still feel the rough hands on her bare arm as he yanked her out from under the bed with enough force to snap her small wrist against the bed's box spring.

"Jacilynn! That's enough you can stop dancing now.. are you okay sweetie?" The concerned voice of the teacher that had inadvertently grabbed the same wrist that was broken 3 years before. She let out a smile cry of pain and the woman dropped her wrist like it was molten lead.

"It's nothing. I just got a little to involved in the lovely dance." Jaci tried to lie her way out of it as she felt the tears on her cheek.

"Are you sure? If there is something you want to talk about I'm willing to listen." Listen. Her parents had said they would listen but they never did no matter how many times she had tried to explain what she could only feel. They told her she was wrong or confused.

"Yes. I'm fine really see." And she put on a smile just for the teacher. The teacher hesitated for a moment before she smiled her own smile and patted her shoulder before walking away. It had taken an enormous effort to not flinch at the patting.

Dottie looked at Jaci with eyes far older than she from across the room. Jaci finger waved to her sister hoping she could pull it off. Dottie waved back but her face was still stone.

The trip home Jaci fretted in the front car seat looking out the window the whole time not seeing anything. She couldn't look to the family she had grown to love knowing the small ugly part of her was growing. She would loose them just as surely as she had lost the love of all the others before them. If she looked she would burst into tears at the pain of the loss that was sure to come.

Once back at home with Tante Drea the two girls had sat through a tough dinner. It was pizza and both girls usually enjoyed it. Drea could sense there was trouble of some sort with both girls but not what. They talked but it was emotionless explanations of what had happened that day.

When they had finished two pieces each the girls help Tante dispose of the paper plates and napkins. Jaci had wiped down the kitchen table while Dottie checked the counter. The leftovers were put into the fridge for the next day.

Dottie retreated to her room to practice more of the dancing she had had trouble with while Jaci watched for a few minutes. The more Dottie danced the more Jaci started to get angry. She didn't say anything but her face more than showed it even if Dottie didn't notice. Jaci fled Dotties room. The pain was growing along with an anger she had not had for a very long time. The anger grew as Jaci stomped down the hallway to her own room. Once inside she opened the door to her closet and got really angry at all the girly finery there. She pulled it all out bending a few hangers in the process.

They were all wrong! Boys did not , could not wear this stuff! Her wrist felt limply to her side as she pulled open the drawers of her dresser and removed all the girly stuff in there as well. It wall went into the pile of discusting stuff on the floor. Her once broken wrist was twitching and spasming as her heart pounded harder and harder as the anger and adrenaline built.

Jaci snarled as she removed the clothes she was wearing and threw those on the floor near the bed. She pulled all the fluffies and the bedcovers onto the floor as well. She was angry and couldn't think straight anymore. She was a boy and shouldn't be allowed in such a room. Bad boys like her did not wear nice clothes. Bad boys like her did not play with dolls. Bad boys did not do fun things.

Standing naked she pulled the one male item in her room a pair of jeans too small for her and held them to her heaving breasts. Her angry turned and she let out a bone jarring howl of pain. Then everything went blank greys to her.

The Panic Before Part 2: A Jaci and Dottie Story: Dottie tries to help.

Dottie got out of bed and practically floated to her closet.

Today, she was allowed to wear her “magic” dress, a Barbie Charm School dress, and she took it off its hanger, hugged it, and swung it around humming. Then she carefully laid it out on her bed and skipped over to her dresser.

She rummaged through her underwear drawer, until she found the prettiest panties she owned, and threw them onto the bed on top of the dress. Then she found a cami to wear over her training bra, and a pair of nylons, and put those four items on top of the dress and went back to her closet.

She slipped out of her nightie and the panties she wore under it, and put them in a clothes hamper, and grabbed a robe to wear to the bathroom.

It was a beautiful kimono style robe, royal purple in color, and she relished the feeling of the silk on her skin for a moment before running to the bathroom to have a shower and get as pretty as she could.

Once clean, powdered, bathroomed, and dressed, she joined her sister on the short walk to school, once again marveling in the magic of the dress - how it seemed to lighten her weight to the point where she felt like she barely touched the pavement as she walked.

She got to school, and relished the ohs and ahs from the other girls, and spent most of her non-class time giggling with Jenn, which would have seemed impossible not long before.

She remembered how she met Jen when the latter girl was throwing tampons at Dottie’s sister Jaci, which resulted in Dottie jumping the girl and trying her level best to pound her.

A visit to the principal’s office thereafter was when the relationship changed, as Jen had said, “See that's what annoys me most about you. You are not even trying and are such the perfect girl. You are so lucky that you will be able to one day give birth and you want to throw that all away. I would kill to be able to have babies."

Dottie had been beyond shocked at the girl’s statement, as she had sometimes felt the same way about her sister, but then she remembered what had cured her of any jealousy of Jaci.

“You’re jealous of Jaci? You’d want to be her? Would you still want to be her if you knew what her parents had done to her, trying to make her into a boy? Would you still want to be her if you sat by her bedside and listened as she screamed and cried and begged for mercy and said she’d be a good boy if only they would stop? Would you want to be her if you saw her completely unable to wear pants, because they bring on flashbacks so bad she shakes? Would you still want to be her then?”

Dottie then took a shaking breath and finished, “And you think you’re the only girl who cant have babies? I cant. I cant cause I was born with boy bits and no matter what, even if they make me look like a girl on the outside, I wont ever have a womb. And sometimes, that hurts so much I cant even describe it. So there.”

Eventually the principal had made the three girls work together on a project where they had to make a presentation on the other’s lives, and Dorothy and Jenn bonded and became good friends, and even Jaci forgave Jenn as well.

Now, Dottie had to say goodbye to her friend and go to the charm school class, and it was on the way here that her own happiness fog lifted enough to realize how much trouble her sister was in.

Jaci had been grouchy all day, snapping growling like a bear woken too early, but Dottie had just put that to a post-period kind of mood, but now as she walked to the class she wondered if it wasnt something more serious.

By the time the charm school classes were over, Dottie no longer had any doubts, and struggled with what to do - Jaci’s flashbacks could be horrible things, and she felt terribly helpless to help her sister through them.

Not that Dottie didnt know a thing or two about flashbacks herself, and it wasnt long ago that it had taken both Jaci and their Tante Drea to calm her to the point she could sleep as she had been triggered by the realization that she might in fact like boys.

She shuddered at the memory, but shoved it aside in her concern for her sister grew after they had gotten home.

And then she heard a scream from Jaci’s room, and rushed in to find Jaci had piled everything she owned including the charm school dress into a pile, and sat naked on her bed screaming as she held onto a pair of boy’s jeans much too small for her.

Dottie was panicked. She called out for Tante, but was afraid to leave her sister in such distress, and tried to talk to her.

“Jaci, its me, its Dottie. Its gonna be all right.”

“Goway.”

“Cant. Love you too much. Please let me help.”

“You cant help. Nobody can help. I’m a freak!”

“If you’re a freak so am I.”

Dottie began to strip herself to her underwear, to drive the point home and maybe shock her sister back to reality.

“See? I’m a boy who wears girl’s stuff. I’m a freak too.”

Just then Drea came into the room, saw the two girls in a state of undress, but realized questions would have to wait as the pain in Jaci’s eyes was too large a concern to worry about much else.

She grabbed Jaci and held her as tight as she could, and Dottie hugged her from the other side, and they held the crying girl until at last her tears stopped.

Much later, in Tante’s bed in their nighties, Dottie used the example of her fear of boys to get her sister to open up as to what triggered this attack - a fear that since her birth family had rejected her, the family she made with Dottie and Tante would also end with them rejecting her, a fear that seemed to have grown stronger the closer to Christmas it got.

Dottie cried at the thought of ever rejecting her sister, and Tante held her tight, and Jaci’s fears subsided, at least for the moment.

Drea was wise enough to know that only time would show little Jaci that her new family would stay together, that together, they could face anything, from Jaci and Dottie’s past, to whatever life threw at them in the years to come, and the bonds they forged with each other would only grow stronger through each crisis they overcame.

But for tonight, she was just glad this crisis was over with, and she went to sleep feeling the heartbeats of two little girls on either side.

The time is 12:40am December 21st.

In a small room in a small but comfortable house sits a young girl. She is in her winter nightie all in white with small sleeves all in white. She sits at a vanity desk where there is some play makeup, a pink Barbie laptop to one side with a small candle burning in a tea cup. She is using the low light so as to not wake anyone in the house. Her feet are bare and swinging underneath her as she sits hunched over as she carefully writes on a piece of paper in her best handwriting. The pencil is held securely in her hands where her pink colored nail polish is visible

Dear Santa:

I have tried really really hard to be a good boy this year. I know that I have failed at it badly and I'm so sorry.

I wish I could dress like other boys but I just can't. It hurts too much when I try.

I want to try to play with the other boys my age but they wont let me. Only the girls will play with me. I have gotten good at hopscotch though.

I've been as good as I can otherwise. Eating my yucky vegetables. I obey the teachers and Tante Drea.

She pauses as she sits up to grab a tissue and blot her eyes.

You know that I tried to be the best boy I could even in my skirts and dresses.

I've been a big sister to my little sister Dottie.

I know I would only get a lump of coal for Christmas because I'm still so bad that even my own mummie and daddy don't want me.

But if you think in your heart that I should get something besides coal could you please give it to my sister Dottie instead.

She does not believe she is a good writer but she is. She is so much better than me even though I try so hard.

I know in my heart of hearts that she is a real girl and I want her to be one whole with a loving caring mother and family. Even if it means I would never see her again.

Dottie really needs that and all the love you can provide her.

So to summer... uhm I forget that word, If I was to get anything presents even coal use them to help my sister instead.

Loves and kisses

Jacilynn

Lil Jaci carefully folds the paper before putting it into an envelope. She licks the flap before pressing down on it where she addresses it to Santa Clause. Using the tea cup and its small candle to light her way she sneaks out of her bedroom carefully. The walk down the hallway into the living room where the Christmas tree she and Dottie had not 5 hours before spent the day throwing tinsel on and putting on what decorations they could reach. The top of the tree looked a little bare in spots while the lower part had many. On the fake mantel made of plastic with its 4 hooks sat three red stockings with white trim. Each had gold embroidered names in them.

Off to the side was a spot with a tiny plastic mailbox. The mailbox only said north pole on it nothing else. Lil Jaci opened the tiny flap and put her card into it. It just fit where she closed it.

She did not notice that the letter fell behind the plastic mantel nor that it was not the only letter to Santa there. Satisfied with herself she used the candle to return to her room. She blew out the candle before she got back into her bed snuggling in for a good long winters nap as the old song says.

The end.

The Other other night before Christmas: A Jaci and Dottie Story

The time is 12:01 am December 21st.

In a little girl’s room, a little girl sat with a flashlight and a book, on top of which the girl was writing on a piece of paper.

Besides the flashlight, the only light in the room was a nightlight with a picture of a butterfly on it, and in the soft glow it produced the little girl could look around her room.

Beside the bed with its pink sheets with pictures of fairies on it, she had a dresser with a good supply of nighties, slips, panties, stockings, socks, and training bras. On the other side was a small table with a Disney Princess laptop, and a small bookshelf that was already overloaded with books.

On the far side of the room was an open closet, with a Barbie Princess Charm school dress prominently displayed. Beside the dress, it was stuffed with dresses, skirts, and very feminine pants and tops, but the newest outfit was a brownie uniform that hadn’t actually been used yet, as she was supposed to start going to brownies in the new year.

She took a deep breath, and went back to the little piece of paper on her lap, trying to get the words right.

Dear Santa,

I think I’ve been pretty good this year, except for the fight I had with Jenny, and we got punished for that and made up, so I hope that doesnt count.

But in all honesty, Santa, I cant think of much I need. I’m not having to hide and pretend I’m a boy anymore, I’m not being hurt by the Doctor anymore, I have a nice home with food, and clothes, and toys, and best of all, I have Tante, who has taken me in and let me find myself.

Plus I have the bestest big sister anybody could ever want in Jaci, and its for her I would like to make a request, if I could.

Santa, please send her something that reminds her that even if her parents cant see the girl she really is, we sure can, and we love her for who she is. Please send her something to thank her for everything she’s done for me, especially helping me with girl stuff I found hard. She did this, despite how much she wants to be boy, just for me.

Send her something to help her see how great a writer she is, how much I’ve learned from her to help make my own scribbles better.

And if you have the power, change the minds of her parents, so they can accept her as the person she is, not the person they wanted her to be.

Even if that means she goes home with them, and I dont see her again, that’s the best gift I could hope for her.

Thanks, Santa

Love, Dottie.

Dottie put the flashlight down, carefully folded the paper, put the book aside so she could get off the bed.

Then she carefully made her way to the living room, where a box marked “North Pole” was set up, and she put the folded paper inside, and went back to her room, switched off the flashlight, and crawled under the covers and fell asleep.

End.

The wind blew dust and last years remnants of leaves across the sidewalk. It was not a big wind, more of a breeze really. It did little more than make most adults crave the safety of air conditioned comfort
However for the children it was just another summers day. Two such children were walking along a cement path towards the center of the park.

One was a red haired girl of about 12 years of age. Her curly hair pulled back and held with a clip. Her almost B cup breasts swinging free inside of a white cut off tee shirt that had tassels on the bottom holding beads. Under this was a simple pair of frayed jean shorts just barely hiding her daisy flowered panties.

Beside her was a younger blond girl about 11 her a cup breasts were snuggled in a bra, that it was obvious she hated wearing. She wore a pink skirt and a lemon yellow top. Her hair in two braided pigtails down her back. Both girls had bangs over the front of their foreheads that they occasionally would brush to the side without realizing it. Both girls were wearing running shoes.

One would expect the two girls to be chatting about maybe icecream, clothes or boys. However...

"Jaci I had nothing to do with your pants." The blonde girl said.

"Dottie I know you are responsible for putting all my jeans in the wash. How am I supposed to play with the boys looking like this?" The flame haired girl replied.

"Yeah right. You have all of two pairs of GIRLS jeans."

"They are boy jeans!"

"Boy cut maybe."

"Your just jealous that I pass as a girl and you don't!"

"Yes you do pass as a girl." Dottie giggled at Jaci's slip.

"That's not what I meant!" however she couldn't help giggling at it herself, knowing full well she put her foot in her mouth.

"So your going to play with the girls and I on the swings?" Dottie asked while skipping along just enough to make the front of her pink skirt billow out.

"Dottie." Lil Jaci stops and drops her shoulders as she gets ready to explain yet again." I'm going to play with the other boys and Keith. I told you that already."

"But you never play with us. I know why. You got a crush on Keith."

"I do not" she blushes. " He is just nice to me unlike the other boys."

"Maybe he has a crush on you as well."

"Dottie it's not like that. We are two boys! Nothing can happen!"

"Nobody see's you as a boy. I bet all he sees is a pretty girl." Dottie dances in front of Jaci with her hands behind her back.

"Do you think he does?" she asks while still blushing. Then realizing what she just did she gasps

"Dottie!! You... you... You and your girlie germs! Get them away from me you .. you .. girlie girl."

"Ha! Your the girlie girl! The Pink's at school even said so." Dottie replies.

The Pink's were an exclusive club at their private school. Only the girliest of girls were ever invited in. This was done with a simple invitation of a pink blouse. Jaci had received the blouse on the last day of school. She knew it was a mistake and wanted to correct it but so far had not had any luck contacting any of the girls from the club.

"That's not true! It was a mistake as the blouse was meant for someone else."

"Sure miss girlie girl."

"I just have to talk to one of them and give it back."

"But why?" Dottie gasped at Jaci. Nobody but nobody ever gave back an invitation into the elite club of the school!

"Cause it's for girlie girls! I'm a girl!" she paused and hung her head as she had done it again.

Dottie just giggled at her sister.

"Your a girlie girl and you have a boyfriend! Jaci and Keith sitting in a tree.."

"What about that boy from the dance? Rob?" Jaci asked with a smirk. Dottie was cut off in mid tease as her face registered the comment.

" I don't know what your talking about. I don't like boys!"

"Isn't that hit across the street?" Jaci asks.

"WHAT! Where? Oh god I look awful! Don't let him see me like this!" Dottie moved around behind Jaci so fast that it was all Jaci could do to not laugh. Which she did anyways.

"That's not funny Jaci! You big meanie!"

" Dottie and Robbie sitting in a tree..."

The two girls alternately teased each other between bouts of laughing.

Strangely enough Rob was indeed on the other side of the street having just come out of a comic book store. He noticed the two girls as they entered the park.

Rob twisted the bag containing the comic he had just bought as he contemplated following the girl he had danced with. He knew he had enough for a soda and icecream and stood there and momentarily daydreamed about taking the blonde girl out but realized she was too pretty and would just laugh at him. With a sigh he headed to the other end of the park to join up with the boys for a round of soccer.

Jaci and Dottie: Boy Troubles Part 2

Kylie sat on the swings with Jenny, waiting for their friends to arrive.

She watched the two girl approach, and smiled at how much the younger one had changed in the last couple of months. When she had first met Dottie, the girl was a wreck, unable to even function in the presence of a male, and now Dottie had danced with a boy, and was starting to have special feeling for him, if the amount of time she spent talking about him was any indication.

“You think Dottie is going to talk about Rob today?” Asked Jenny, who was obviously thinking along the same lines Kylie was.

“Gee, I dont know. She only talks about him on days that end in ‘y’ .”

Both girls giggled.

“Hi guys.” the girl in question said as she and her sister approached.

“Hey Dot. We saved you the middle swing.” Kylie said.

“Thanks.”

Jaci tried to create a “manly” voice and said, “Well, little lady, now that I got you escorted you to the swings, this manly man is going to play with the boys.”

Dottie giggled, and said, “And what are you going to do while your boyfriend plays with the boys?”

“What boyfriend?” Jaci asked.

“The boyfriend you keep going on about. ‘This manly man is doing this, this manly man is going there.’ I wanna meet this manly man boyfriend of yours.”

“I was talking about me! I’m the manly man!”

“That’s not what the Pinks think, girly girl.”

“Ohhh.... I’m not talking to you! You’re the one whose girly germs ...Ahhhh!” Jaci yelled, and then stomped off to see if she could find out what game the boys were playing.

Dottie watched her sister stomp away, and sighed.

“I’m worried about Jaci.” she told her friends.

“Why?” Jen asked.

“She keeps up this whole ‘I’m a boy’ thing up, and she’s gonna get hurt. I know she likes that Keith boy, and if he sees her as a girl, she’s not going to be able to handle it.”

“Yeah, but maybe that’s what she needs to have happen. If Keith hits on her, she’s going to have to choose. To pretend she’s a boy and lose out, or get the boy, and give up the pretend.”

“She’s gonna get hurt.”

“And we’ll be there for her, Dottie. But speaking of boys, has Robbie asked you out yet?” Kylie asked.

Dottie blushed, and said, “No. I dont think he sees me that way.”

“You could always ask him out. It is the twenty-first century, after all. “ Kylie said.

“But what if he really doesnt see me that way?”

“Then he’s the loser. You make a good catch.”

Dottie blushed harder, and then said, “What about you two. Any boys in your futures?”

“Tons. Hundreds, I’m beating em off with a stick.” Jenny said, giggling.

“Oh yes, me too.” Kylie laughed.

“I can believe that. Boys. What can you do with em?” Dottie giggled, and then the three friends went back to swinging.

But every once in awhile, Dottie looked across the park in the direction her sister went. For some reason, the old song “There’s gonna be a heartache tonight” came into her mind.

“I guess all I can do is be there when it happens.” She thought, and then went back to swinging.

End.

The troubled young girl in the tight jean shorts and white top more reminiscent of the 80s than current, even if some of the styles were making a comeback, made her way over the group of boys.

Kieth the young man who had been blessed by puberty with cute muscles, in all the right places, with his shock of brown hair and blue eyes stood apart with dark brown haired Rob. Rob was still filling out but he had promise with his height to one day soon be something that most girls would love to look at, was beside him.

The two boys were chatting animatedly as Jaci sauntered up. It almost looked like Rob was blushing as she walked up.

"Hey guys! So what we gonna play today?" she was hoping it would be something boyish like baseball, even if she couldn't hit worth beans. Her annoying breasts made such a sport less than fun.

"Oh uh. Hi there Jacilynn. I... I... Well later K-man!" and with that Rob left a bewildered Jaci standing there beside Keith.

"What's his problem?" she asked.

"He has a problem talking to cute girls."

"Oh good thing they are at the swings then."

"Well not all of them. I think the prettiest is right here actually." he said.

"Really? Where is she?" Jaci turned around to look for this mysterious girl.

Far away at the swingest Dottie was busy giggling with her friends on the swings. She was a little surprised to see a pale looking Jaci come into the area where the swings were not five minutes after she had left. One look at her face caused her concern and before she knew it she was off of the swing and walking to her sister.

"Jaci what's wrong?" Dottie called out.

"They ...He... there was no room for me to play." she answered a bit vaguely as she got closer.

Normally Jaci wouldn't be caught dead, willingly anyways even if she ended up in a group of girlie girls far too often, with a bunch of girlie girls. However she seem oblivious to how girlie the trio of girls were right now.

"Oh so they said no girls today." Jenny answered with a snicker.

"Yeah something like that." Jaci replied. However this was almost the total opposite of how Jaci would answer.

"Jaci what's wrong?" dottie asked growing scared.

"He.. He..." Jaci started then stopped as if she lost the words.

"Jaci?" She asked her sister again.

"Uh. Well Rob.. He wanted to go on a double date with Keith and well you Dottie." She said.

"WHAT?" Dottie squeaked out not quite believeing the strange words out of her sister's mouth.

"And who is Keith's date?" Kylie asked with a smirk on her face already having an idea.

"Well he asked.... he asked... he asked..." Jaci stuttered out.

Having a sudden bad feeling Dottie had to ask "You?"

"Yes!" and with that Jaci broke down as the tears poured out.

Jaci and Dottie: Boy Trouble Part 4

Drea DiMaggio sat stunned by her kitchen table.

Her two little charges had just came home from the park, and Dottie had dropped the bombshell to beat all bombshells - that two boys had asked the girls on a double date.

Now the girls were rummaging through their respective closets, trying to find the perfect outfits. But there were some differences - Dottie was chatting excitedly as she tried on clothes, while her sister Jaci was shuffling through the motions like a zombie.

“This is definitely a MPP situation.” She had heard Dottie say.

“What’s a MPP?” She asked as she walked into Dottie’s room.

Dottie blushed, and said, “Its from a song by my favorite group, Starlight Butterfly.”

“But what does it mean?”

Dottie blushed, and said in a voice just above a whisper, “Magic power panties.”

“Dottie! You aren’t going to show a boy your panties, are you?”

“No, Tante, I’m a good girl. I just ... it might give me some confidence, knowing I have them on.”

Drea smiled at that, and then indicated Jaci’s room “Your sister okay?”

“I think she’s stunned to discover a boy thought she was a girl, much less pretty enough to ask out.”

“And how about you? I can still remember a certain little girl who would run into my arms if a man so much as said hello to her. You doing okay with this?”

“Honestly, Tante? I’m happy, even if I’m scared too. But I’ve danced with him, and he’s even helped me with a flashback. He’s a good boy. We’ll keep an eye on Keith and Jaci. You know, just in case.”

“Speaking of your sister, we should go see if she’s recovered from the shock yet.”

Drea crossed the hall to Jaci’s room with Dorothy trailing behind her, and opening the door found Jaci standing there in her new skaterstyle acid wash jean skirt with a not quite peach nor yellow top that has only one shoulder strap and a tiny bow on one side.

“Wow, Jaci!” You look great! Keith will love it!” Dottie exclaimed.

“You do look nice, sweetie. You okay with doing this? You dont have to, if you dont want to.” Drea said.

“I gotta keep an eye on my sister so she doesnt get into trouble. “ Jaci said, but blushed at the same time.

She took both Drea and Dottie by the hand, and then asked, “When .... when did I turn into a girl?”

“You were kinda always a girl, like me.” Dottie said.

“But my parents ...”

“Were wrong.” Drea said firmly.

“I dont know how to be a girl!”

“Just act naturally.” Dottie said, “You are pretty girly, when you arent trying to prove how much a boy you are.”

“Not as girly as you.” Jaci said automatically.

“I’ll show you who’s more girly!” Dottie giggled, and grabbed a pillow to hit her sister with.

“No! I’ll show you!” Jaci replied, grabbing another pillow.

Drea playfully pushed both girls onto the bed and started tickling both of them, until they both were giggling too much to keep fighting.

Eventually, the three of them slipped out of their clothes and into nighties, and then slept together in Drea’s bed, dreaming dreams of what tomorrow would bring .....

Jaci was very nervous as she sat beside her sister Dottie in the old styled restaurant.

The boys had decided to treat the two girls to a night out type of date. Two boys two girls, go to theater after a small meal in a restaurant at the boy's expense. This meant that the local A&W restaurant inside the mall where the movie theater's were. It wasn't the normal type of A&W as this one actually had waitresses and booths even if the meals were the same.

There was memorbilia saying Allen and Wright all over the walls, most likely reprints of original adds. Even the waitresses worn different era uniforms. Theirs was a roller skater type of uniform with, what are now called, hot pants and a tank top, tennis style with buttons, green and white top with flared brown short curled sleeves. She didn't actually wear skates but shoes that looked like them.

Their waitress was currently giggling at the foursome. First there was Jaci who couldn't look up from her lap. Then Dottie who had been chatting up a storm only to go blank when asked what she would like to eat by Rob.

Rob himself was trying to melt into the floor beneath the cushions of the bench seat he was on. While Kieth was doing a gold fish impression. His mother was the chaperone and two benches away trying to not laugh openly at the scene.

The waitress took pity on the two girls and asked them to both follow her to freshen up. It seemed the safest of choices available.

The evening had started out rocky to begin with. First there was Jaci fretting over what she should wear as she had gone through her entire closet, twice, looking for anything else to wear aside from the outfit she had picked the night before. Tante Drea had finally gotten the girl, who was only in her panties and bra at the time, to change into the outfit she had chosen the night before then put away her clothes.

While Jaci was supposedly busy putting away clothes Drea had walked into Dottie's room to find Dottie hiding in the closet all dressed up as she had scared herself. Dottie's rainbow skirt and butterfly top had her looking far more like a girl than she thought possible outside of the magic princess uniform.

When she had gotten the reluctant Dottie out of the closet and sat on her bed she went to check Jaci again only to find the girl just finishing putting on makeup she was not allowed to wear. Drea was surprised at just how beautiful Jaci looked with a bit of shadow, mascara, and lipgloss. Gone was the fumbling girl of a few months ago who had made her face look clownish.

She also knew that if Jaci was going out with makeup or at least playing with makeup Dottie would be too. Dottie however was not quite as good as Jaci and needed a few spots of help amid tears. She knew how important a first date was so this time she relented on the makeup.

Amazingly after running between two rooms to get both girls in proper shoes, Dottie had tried to go with 3 inch heels for some reason and Jaci running shoes, purses, and in all get them both ready and somewhat calmed down in time for the boys to arrive.

It was Kieth who had knocked on the door, Rob right beside him, that Drea led into the living room before she called the girls in. Both of them had been shy right away, however Dottie had this habit of chatting when nervous and bluntly asked if she should change, giving many different options to Rob in the span of a minute totally overwhelming the boy.

She wished her camera had worked as she saw a feminine young woman by the name of Jacilynn enjoy her very first meet for a date. Kieth had stared openly at Jaci as she had walked into the room where she stopped not 3 feet from him. It was obvious that at that very moment the boy was truly smitten by the girl. Kieth had brought a mixture of pink, white, and red roses in a fancy plastic wrap. He crushed the stems in his hand as he took in the sight of Jacilynn looking as she did.

Robbie had also brought Dottie some flowers, daisys and pink carnations also in a wrap. He had tried to offer them to Dottie but it took her a full minute to even notice them during her assault of words on the poor boy. Dottie only shut up when she saw them.

"For me?" she had asked. Rob nodded and Dottie gushed tears running into the kitchen. Drea told Rob to stay right there and ran after Dottie.

Jaci and Kieth were locked in a world all there own as they stared at each other without saying anything.

Drea had calmly walked into the kitchen and removed Dottie from actively trying to open the locked back door, Drea had expected this before hand, and just turned the girl around wiped the tears, fixed her mascara runs and walked her back to her date.

Getting the foursome to move out of the door had taken a bit of work but they were finally on their way.

Poor Andrea just sat down on the couch amazed at having to have gone through that before she started to sniffle. A quick speed dial on the phone.

"Ruth I need to.." and she broke apart crying.

Rob was in the back with both girls vainly trying to keep himself under control the short drive to the mall where the movie was going to be. Kieth had taken the front seat in a daze while his mother just laughed. Dottie was on one side while Jaci was on the other. Dottie happily described her favorite foods, in order and detail to Kieth's mother during the drive.

Once at the mall Kieth's mother Diedre, got the foursome out and in order before ushering the nervous couples into the mall and then the restaurant. Diedre watched as the four stiffly, or in the case of the two girls gracefully, sat into their seats. She was a little concerned that the two girls were on one side and the boys on the other but on the other hand she was relieved as well as she didn't want the boys to go too fast either with fast fingers.

Jaci and Dottie followed the older girl waitress into the ladies room. Jaci giggled as she saw the door causing Dottie to blush as they both shared a memory of trying to get into the boys room at this very mall not 4 weeks ago. Once inside the small white and black tiled bathroom the waitress turned on the two girls.

"Sorry about this girls but it's obvious the two of you are on your first date and I just couldn't let you go as you were. First you miss motormouth,"talking to Dottie," need to shut up. Let your date get a word in."

Turning to Jaci"And you miss so painfully shy. Need to look up at your date in the eyes. Trust me girls you will have a much better date. Now freshen up and I'll meet you back out there." with that the waitress left the two girls in the bathroom.

Dottie started to cry and so did Jaci. The two were trying to be strong for the other and managed to JUST not openly sob before going to the bathroom and then checking themselves in the mirror.

It was two calmer and more together girls that came back to the table. Dottie did not launch into a non stop verbal assault and Jaci actually spoke, softly, a few words of her own while looking at Kieth.

When the waitress came around the next time the four ordered burgers and shakes without hesitation. Jaci and Dottie along with Kieth and Robbie all then enjoyed a long but good meal amid many smiles.

Next time the movie theater date.

Jaci and Dottie: Boy trouble, part 6

Dottie’s eyes fluttered, and then opened.

She saw that was laying on what looked like a hospital bed, and beside her were her sister Jaci, her Tante Drea, and Grand-Tante Ruth.

She croaked, and Drea handed her a glass of water.

“What happened to me, Tante? Where am I?”

“You’re in the hospital, sweetie. You’re gonna be okay. Do you remember what happened?”

Dottie thought hard, and then said, “Oh, God. The date ....”

Two hours earlier....

The first part double date had gone well, thanks to the help of a friendly waitress, and once dinner was over the four kids and their chaperone made their way to the movie theater, and tried to figure out what movie to watch.

Its hard to find a good movie for young teens at the best of times - it seems like all the movies are made for younger kids or for older ones. When you have two boys and two girls, that choice is even harder, but finally all four kids agreed to the movie “Turbo”, and so tickets and popcorn were bought, and everyone made their way to the movie.

Things went fine until Robbie made a mistake. He went to take Dottie’s hand, and the girl flinched, and he withdrew, but it upset Dottie enough that she excused herself and went to the washroom.

Unfortunately, she wasnt paying attention, and went into the boys bathroom by mistake. There was a man inside, who yelled at her, and she froze. He started to come toward her, and it was too much for her.

She went into a flashback, and stopped being able to breathe, and collapsed onto the floor, sending the man running for the manager of the theater.

Meanwhile, Jaci had a bad feeling about her sister, and excused herself to go look for her. She got there just in time to see the manager trying to get Dottie out of the boy’s washroom, only every time he got close, she seemed to be getting worse.

She pushed the manager aside saying Dottie was her sister, and grabbed Dottie and eased her out of the washroom, and put her on the floor. She asked the manager to go into the theater showing “Turbo” and get their chaperone, and to call for both an ambulance and for Tante Drea.

Shortly, a female EMT was taking care of Dottie while Jaci apologized to the boys before getting into the ambulance for the ride to the hospital.

Now ...

Dottie listened as Jaci filled her in on what she knew, and the young woman cried, saying how sorry she was that she had lost control like that.

Everybody in the room hugged her, and reassured her that it wasn’t her fault.

Then a doctor came in, and said that Dottie should probably wear a medic-alert bracelet, so if she was alone when something like this happened, the people around her would know what to do.

She sniffled and apologized again, and then said, “I wish I could say sorry to Robbie. He probably blames himself.”

“I had, but Mrs. DiMaggio put me right.” said a voice at the door, and Dottie blushed as the young man entered.

“I’m sorry I set you off, Dottie. I thought you were okay with me. I mean, I’d even helped you with a flashback during rehearsals for our dance together. “

“I .. I thought I was, Robbie. I want to be. I just ....”

“Are still a hostage to what happened to you.” Ruth said.

“I dont want to be anymore. How do I stop?”

“One day at a time, and be willing to try to push through fear sometimes.” Ruth advised.

Dottie thought about this for a long time, and then held out her hand to Robbie. “Will you help me?”

“I... I’d be honored to.” Robbie said, and took her hand tentatively.

“And we all will do what we can, right, Tante?” Jaci said.

“Got that right, sweetie.” Drea said, and hugged her.

Dottie sighed, and lay back in the bed and closed her eyes for a moment, to say a prayer of thanks.

“I’ve got the best support system in the world.” She thought, and then said out loud, “I am so blessed. Thank you all.”

There were hugs, and more than a few tears, and then the doctor shewed everyone out so Dottie could have a rest so she could go home in the morning.

Tomorrow would be a new adventure .....

Author's note:

Gonna have to post this section in two parts as it is taking far more than I thought it would.

--SEPARATOR--

The morning sun was not quite shinning into her window as she woke up from yet another troubled dream that she could not remember. Her bedsheets were twisted around her again. Thankfully she had not peed into them, although it had been quite some time since she had last peed in bed. The covers while twisted around her were very warm and inviting. So warm that they seemed to call her back with false promises of sweet dreams.

She was just wondering why she was awake so early when she heard the teltale click of a dish on dish from outside of her door.

"Breakfast!" mumbled a sleepy Dottie.

Rizing from bed involved untwisting her bedcovers, which took a bit, before he naked feet searched off the side of her bed for her pink fluffy slippers. Her pink Disney princess nightgown reached her feet once the slippers were on. Her hair still in its twin braided pigtails Dottie yawned as she made her way to the bathroom.

Not for the first time she wondered, yet again, why she automatically sat to do something as simple as pee. She knew she could easily stand to do it. However it was almost like she had a muscle that wouldn't release if she did that and she always had a squirt afterwards into her panties when she tried to stand to pee. Sitting it just all flowed out. Then a simple wipe with a few pieces of toilet paper and she was done.

At the sink Dottie washed her hands and brushed her teeth. It was silly to do so before breakfast but she felt it was wrong to expose her morning breath to anyone. With her hands washed, teeth brushed, and her face given the once over with the face cloth she left the bathroom for the kitchen.

The smells from the kitchen invaded her nose. She smelled the unmistakable scent of home made hamburgers. Tante's hamburgers meant a picnic, especially at this time of the morning. Smiling for the first time since her ordeal two days ago at the theater, and then the hospital. Dottie turned around and went to take a quick shower instead. She was excited as it had been some time since they last went on a picnic. Her shower done after a few minutes since she didn't wash her hair, she powdered herself with the Tinkerbell lilac and rose scented baby powder before sneaking across the hallway into her room with her nighty just held in front.

From her closet she choose a nice summery yellow summer dress that showed off her small breasts but not too much. It had an optional shoulder jacket if it got cool. Her sandals were a close match for the dress. Her outfit done she sat at her vanity all smiles as she worked on unbraiding her hair, damp in one or two spots but otherwise dry, then brushing it out before putting it into a simple fall down her back with a yellow barrette on each side of her head to hold back her bangs.

On her vanity was her makeup. Dottie stared at the makeup with longing before she sighed and walked away. Tante had made it known to both girls that she thought girls their ages should not be wearing makeup. It was not fair one night of being out with her face on and actually looking like a young woman and now she was limited to being just a young girl again.

With a twirl before her mirror on the back of the bedroom door she stared. It seemed that more and more of her dresses and outfits were being corrupted by the magic princess uniform as they made her look like a girl.

Still better than looking like a boy in a dress.

That done Dottie stepped out into the hallway to greet Tante. She was a bit surprised to see that Tante still looked far from awake. It was almost like she had just woken up. Finding this strange Dottie made her way to the sounds from the kitchen.

Going through the living room into the entrance to the kitchen with it's sliding door hidden in the wall she first saw the edge of the beige counter. The counter top on the right hand side stretched the full length of the wall ending in the double sink where the girls usually washed and dried dishes. There was a small bit of counter before the stove started with it's oven underneath.

That was all normal. So was the back door that sported a new brass lever type latch. What was not normal was seeing that the person doing the cooking was Jaci.

Both Dottie and Jaci had watched Tante cook various meals plenty of times. Jaci had always shied away from helping except to read out the recipes for Tante. Dottie was more hands on and helped mix the various recipes from time to time.

Both girls took home economics in school of course. Even there Jaci had never really stood out as being able to cook more than she was told to. Half of the time it was whatever partner she got that did most of the work. Dottie always wished she could take the class with her sister however the faculty had decided the two girls would not share those classes.

It was therefore shocking to find that not only was Jaci cooking but she apparently was doing so rather well. Far better than Dottie thought she could.

Lil Jaci turned around from checking on her cookies in the oven. Her jean skirt covered by an apron along with her simple old white top. She jumped a little to find her sister Dottie staring at her apparently all made up for a day outside. Jaci immediately felt guilty as she knew that Dottie would not be joining her and Kieth at the mill pond.

The mill pond was an old pond created as a place to store wood floated down from the logging of what is now the greater lake region. During the massive logging that opened up the area there was canals dug from the lakes to the city over fifty miles in length. At the end of that was the mill pond where the logs were stored in water before they were pulled and put onto trucks for the mill.

The logging only lasted a few years and then the canals were filled, tilled over, or reclaimed by nature. The lumber mill was torn down and houses set up in its place. Around the edge of the mill pond trees took root along with brushes. At one time it was thought the pond was polluted beyond recovery however recent tests showed that there actually was no pollution. None of the mills had emptied into the pond just the old trees that were cut and shipped.

Since the trees surrounding the pond were a colorful mix of poplar, ash, oak, pine and spruce it was believed that many of the seeds from various trees had migrated down the canals into the pond. A soil sample taken from an older section of where the pond could have brimmed it's banks showed a minute collection of oils but that was a good six feet from the pond.

The mill pond was never given a real name, mostly because it's actual ownership has never been determined. Everyone knew it only as the mill pond. The pond itself was really not all that far from the school that the girl's went to. On one edge of the pond was a grassy area that was kept short by the occasional lawn mower from the city. There was many signs posted for no trespassing and No parking. Yet it was not uncommon to see families sitting on the edge of the pond having picnics.

It was also known as the place to be for boys to take girls on a date. They knew they couldn't get away with anything as there was always people around but it was still a nice place to be, especially since it was almost smack dab in the middle of nowhere in the city itself.

The day before Jaci had been on the phone with Kieth. She had foolishly agreed to meet the boy at the mill pond for a picnic. She had felt quilty about it and set about making a picnic for the two of them. She was a little surprised at just how easy cooking really was. She had watched Tante do it along with the girls at school but had always held herself back from dipping in.

She knew she couldn't ask Tante to make the two of them a picnic so she set about doing it herself. She was hoping to have it all done and hidden from Dottie before she woke. In the oven was four buns she had made herself along with a small batch of chocolate chip cookies. The hamburger patties were already cooked and in a tupperwear container. The wicker basket had the checkered towel, some knives, cheese slices, and small packages of condiments.

Turning fully to face her sister Jaci opened her mouth to explain when she heard the front doorbell ring. Using the doorbell as an excuse to not face her sister Jaci ran to the door and opened it without looking first. In the doorway was her parents.

"Mommy? Daddy?" she asked.

"Excuse me young.... WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING BOY?" Her father yelled at her in the doorway.

The yelling drew Tante Drea and Dottie fast. Drea tried to turn Dottie away from seeing Jaci's father grab the poor girl and shake her.

"Put her Down Mr. Sevale!" Drea said with anger growing in her voice.

"What the fuck have you done to my son? You were supposed to help him for god's sake. Not this ..this freak!"

"Mr. Sevale! I will warn you to shut your mouth now or I will call the police!"

"You can't hide my boy forever. I got a lawyer fighting to get us control and a Doctor that has some aversion therapy to cure my boy of this girlish foolness."

"Get out!"

"We will get our SON back! Mark my words freak!"

Tante Drea slammed the door in Mr. Sevale's face tears streaming down her face for a few reasons. Dottie in her dress was staring open mouthed and quite pale but it was the sight of a unblinking white Jaci that forced her to move just as the girl started to fall.

Drea hugged the girl into her chest to protect her from the cruel world. She felt her tears fall down her face into the hair of the young girl in her arms. She wanted to make the entire world go away. She still could not believe what had just happened. How could any parent ever do something so...

BUZZ

Drea looked up in annoyance as the buzzer from the kitchen stove started to buzz.

Lil Jaci shook herself and disentangled herself from Drea's arms.

"My cookies!" she exclaimed.

Drea watched the girl, no not just some girl, this girl deserved more than that, her daughter. Yes her daughter, how that hurt to admit, just turned and went back to the kitchen to save her cookies. Drea went to the blue velvet couch that was nearby and collapsed into it, tucking her feet behind her, and buried her head into the armrest. The sobs came, she tried to stop them but they came anyways. She knew she should be strong but..

She felt a small hand on her arm. She looked up from the edge of the couch to see a very scared little, no Dottie was just as much her daughter as Jaci.

"Tante?" asked the scared little girl before Drea hugged her tight. The two sobbed into each other arms while Lil Jaci was busy in the kitchen taking out her last batch of chocolate chip cookies.

Jaci was satisfied with her cookies. She had made a very small batch of maybe twenty cookies. For her first cookies she was rather proud of how they turned out. For a fleeting moment she felt the buried tears come close to the surface. She swallowed them back, she had more important things to do today.

It did not take her long to pack up the hamburgers she had made nor the cookies and two soft drinks into the wicker basket she had found under the sink. She wasn't sure what it was for originally as there was cellophane in the bottom but with that removed and a blanket over top it made a suitable picnic basket.

Her basket done Jaci headed to her room and quickly removed the clothes she had thrown on that morning. Sitting at her vanity she spent quite a few minutes playing with her makeup, interspersed with rereading articles from copied Vogue, Cosmopolitan, and other teen magazines. Black, brown and blue eyeliner made her brown eyes pop while three coats of black mascara, and the same amount of curling, made her lashes look full and lush. The earth toned mix of eyeshadow across the lid and going up to her freshly plucked delicate eyebrows was subtle. So was the tiniest bit of blush on her now flawless skin.

With the makeup done aside from lipstick she attacked her hair with a vengeance. By the time she was done her once flat naturally wavy hair was a mass of curls on her head with tendrils down the front of her face on the sides just before her ears. There was also two longer tendrils that went down either side of her neck touching her bra. For earrings she chose simple hearts with a matching chain and locket for her neck.

With the makeup done she sauntered over to her closet and pulled out an outfit she had never worn before. The black leather skirt was not tight but flared just a bit. It was not the most warmest of outfits. The skirt only came to mid thigh. Paired with it was a red tank top with tiny spaghetti straps.

Examining herself in the mirror she knew she looked hot, really hot. The girl in the mirror looked far older than her meger twelve years. Too much in fact. With a sigh Jaci removed the outfit and put it away before searching her closet for just the right dress. Not too fancy, not too little. In the end she chose a floral pattern dress with a v neck. Tante had never let her buy anything too revealing so the bottom of the neck barely reached her cleavage.

The waist of the simple A-line purple dress hugged her waist while the skirt flared out quite a bit. She put a simple white laced edge slip on and grabbed her open toed pumps for the dress. She sat at her vanity to put on the shoes as well as put on her lipstick. Glancing at the time Jaci cursed as it was later than she wanted to be. She hastily packed her purse and left her room to swing by the kitchen for her basket before leaving via the back door.

The day was beautiful and sunny. She had feared that it would be overcast and rainy but for once it seemed that things were going good for her. As she walked she looked around and anything and everything keeping her mind blank. At the end of the block she spotted a girl in a simple red skirt, white hose or tights, and a black top. However something about her seemed off.

Jaci stared at the girl as she came closer and closer. At the point where they passed each other the girl looked up and she saw that it was Rob. Why Rob was dressed as a girl was beyond her. He looked okay but now that she knew he was a boy she could see it. In his body language, the way he walked and held himself all said boy. Not for the first time she wondered if she gave off that impression. Still Rob was done up rather well. At a guess his mother had helped him get dressed up as his motions gave away that it was not comfortable for him. But why?

Shrugging she hurried on to the bus stop. The entire bus ride to the park where she was to meet with Keith was nerve racking. The park was a small one about a block from the mill pond. They would meet up and spend the day together. Jaci had originally thought about maybe fishing in the pond but looking down at herself she realized that she had chosen to do something else. What that was she had no idea.

As the bus pulled up she saw that Keith was waiting for her at the bus stop near the park. He looked quite nice in his simple black plain t shirt and denim jeans. Even from the window she could see that he was nervous and she giggled. In his hand was a simple flower arrangement. From the looks it was a few dandelions, some wild daisy's, wild sunflowers, and what looked to be a yellow rose of some sort. She knew he had no money to buy flowers and yet he had gotten these for her.

Jaci descended the bus in a rush and ran up to Keith and the flowers. The wicker basket was on her arm as she grabbed the fresh flowers and gave them a sniff. A smile spread over her face as she smelt the fragrance.

"I kinda sorta got them for you."

"They are lovely. Thank you."

"I kinda stole the yellow from a trashcan near a graveyard but I picked the rest myself on the way over." Really it was too much information. Jacilynn laughed at how silly the boy was being. Did she really make boys this nervous just being a girl?

"You uh..."

"Oh do you like my dress?"

"Yes you look so darn beautiful." it was a corny comment that caused Jaci to raise an eyebrow and Keith to duck his head as if he had done something awful. Having pity on the poor boy she smiled.

"Thank you." with that she tread her free arm into his and they walked to the nearby park. The part had cement or paved pathways through it. It was a proper park unlike their final destination. Every tree, flower, bush, mound or bench, while very nice, was made to someones ideal. There was no real wildness to the park. It was just a park dedicated to some dead person, with a fancy brass plack and all, and neither of the two cared a wink about it.

The strolled along the pathways slowly making their way across the park oblivious to the stares of other people. Jaci was lost in his gorgeous blue eyes. She felt her breathing going up and down the entire time they walked. So engrossed just being in his presence that she was surprised to see that they had left the park and arrived at the edge of the mill pond.

Their only immediate company was a mother duck and her small mostly grown goslings. She could see that these goslings were already shedding their grey feathers for the more adult black, white, red and dark blue feathers. At another clearing at the edge of the millpond she could see a couple but couldn't make out what they were doing from this distance.

Snapping out of her reverie she apologized to Keith and knelt down to set up the blanket and the food she cooked. She hoped it was good enough to impress him. Keith almost interrupted her as she kneeled but stopped. When it was as set up as she could manage she stood up again and settled down on the blanket.

Keith had wanted to prevent Jaci from spoiling her dress but the smile on her face as she started to lay things out stopped him. It was so beautiful. She was so beautiful. Yes she was a year younger than him, and he knew that she constantly tried to pass herself off as a boy, nobody believed her at all. But even the girls that were jealous of her had to admit that she was already quite pretty. He could only imagine how she would look when she tried and here she was.

She seemed so... homey as she set about doing such a simple thing. He could easily see this woman setting a table up for him and his children. All the while with a smile on her face from her heart. He knew that women were supposed to be treated the same as men and all that but there was just something about this girl that said she would be happy, truly happy, as a stay at home mom.

He also knew he would never be worthy of such a woman. Unless he could make himself sucessful. He started to think of ways to do just that as the girl of his dreams stood up, brushing imaginary grass from her shapely legs before she glided over the blanked and settled down like an angel landing.

--SEPARATOR--

Jaci looked at Keith and smiled at him.

"Well are you gonna eat?" she asked while she held out a hamburger for him.

Keith shook himself just a little causing her to worry that he didn't want to eat her cooking. However from the moment he bit into the burger she made his eyebrows shot up in surprise followed by pleasure in his features. She knew he liked it even before he asked.

"Did your mom make this?"

"Tante and no. I made it. I know it's awful but really I tried." why she felt the threat of tears she had no idea.

"No! God's no! It's wonderful. I wish my mom cooked this good!" he choked out around his burger.

"Your just saying that. It's the first time I've cooked so I know it's not that good." Jaci nibbled on her own burger to shut up and kept her eyes cast down. She did not see the shocked look on Keith's face before she shoved the burger back in.

The two sat and ate the burgers. Keith had two while Jaci barely finished half of hers. She just wasn't that hungry for some reason. When she saw he was finished she unpacked the brown paper wrapped cookies and offered him one. Keith took it and looked at her.

"I .. .I made... well tried to make them anyways. I followed the recipe but they are not as stiff as Tante's." and again she looked down at her lap twisting her hands.

Again she did not see Keith bite into the soft chewy golden brown chocolate chip cookie.

"Ssss goot!" he managed to get out.

Jaci smiled and continued to pick at her burger. She was surprised she she felt Kieth move closer to her. She had been leaning on one hand with her feet tucked under her dress on the one side. She saw Keith's hand next to hers.

"Did you even try one of your delicious cookies?" She looked up while shaking her head. Again those eyes of his caught her and she smiled as she saw him break off a piece of the cookie and approached her mouth with it.

It was like slow motion as his hand came into contact with her lips. She pressed down savoring the taste of his fingers. She didn't know why she was doing this but it felt right.

As she savored the after taste of his fingers she knew what happy was and just as suddenly remembered how it was wrong for her to feel this way.

'No son of mine is gonna be some freak'

"I can't do this Keith. I'm sorry."

'Where did you get this skirt from? Did you steal it you little freak?'

"What did I do wrong?"

'Excuse me young.... WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING BOY?'

"It's not you. It's me.. I ... I.. " she started to cry it wasn't fair!

'You can't hide my boy forever.'

"Please tell me Jaci." Keith moved even closer and pulled her into his arms. She felt herself collapse into those arms. Arms that felt like they could take away everything and protect her.

'We will get our SON back! Mark my words freak!'

"I ... I... My parent's want me to be a boy. I ..I..." she sobbed into his shoulder. She could hear the yelling of her fathers voice in her head. Her mother and her shrill voice.

It was therefor a complete surprise when she felt his lips touch hers. It was like the touch of his lips made all the voices in her head telling her to be a boy go away. She looked deep into his eyes and knew in that moment, more than anything else in the world, she was a girl.

"I think your a girl. I... I... wish you could be my girl. Not that I want to own you or anything but.." she used a finger to shut those wonderful silencing lips.

"I'm too young to date yet."

"We are on a date right now."

"I snuck out of the house."

"So did I"

With a smile on her face Jaci raised her arms around Keith's neck to pull him in for another kiss.

At their house about eight blocks away Dottie had just finished getting herself untangled from Tante on the couch. Tante, still in her red housecoat, was now sleeping on the couch. She heard a knock on the door.

Straightening her dress as best she could she went to answer the door wondering why the person didn't press the doorbell. Opening the door she saw a girl. She wanted to go find her sister so she was going to tell her to go away and come back later.

"Uh Hi Dottie."That got her attention.

"Rob?"

Jaci and Dottie: Boy Trouble, Part 8

Dottie stood in her doorway in shock.

There, in front of her, was the young man who had danced the ballet with her, who had taken her to the movies, who had come to the hospital when she had a panic attack because he had tried to hold her hand.

Only he was in girl clothes.

“Robbie, what are you doing?”

“Can ... can I come in?”

“Okay, but I dont have a lot of time, Jaci is in trouble”

Once the Robbie stepped in, she said, “Now, what’s this about? Are you.... are you making fun of me? Cause if you are ...”

“I’m not! I... Look, Dottie. will you listen?”

Dottie folded her arms under her breasts, and said, “Okay. Spill.”

“Look. I like you. I like you a lot. But when I tried to take your hand at the theater, you freaked out so hard you ended up in the hospital. I ... I know you got really hurt by a man, so I thought that maybe if I looked like a girl you wouldn't be scared of me. So with the help of my mom and my sister, I did this.If this doesnt work, I’ll go home and change. I .... I just didn’t know what else to do.”

Dottie looked Robbie, and thought hard.

“You were willing to be a girl ... for me? I .... I .... That’s the most amazing and romantic thing I ever heard of!” She leaped into his arms, and gave him a solid kiss.

Which was interrupted when Drea came into to the room.

“Dottie! What ... who ....”

Dottie blushed, and said, “Its Robbie, Tante. He ... he made himself a girl, just so I could feel safe with him.”

Drea looked at the blushing young man in the skirt, and said, “Well, I guess you look nice enough. But both of you are a little young to be so serious. and in any case, we have to find Jaci. She was behaving so oddly when she left.”

“Oh my gosh! Jaci! We gotta find her, Robbie. Her parents came by, said all kinds of hurtful things, and then she left with a batch of cookies like nothing was wrong!”

“Do you know where she was going?”

“She told me she was gonna meet Keith at the park by the mill pond.”

“Okay, I better take the car. Can you show me?”

“Sure, Tante.”

“Can I come too?” Robbie asked.

“You okay with going out dressed like that?” Drea asked him

“I walked here. I figure that horse has left the barn.”

Dottie giggled, and then took his hand and led him to Drea’s car.

They made it to the park, and got out and started calling. A few moments later they found Jaci and Keith, looking rather embarrassed, and Keith a a bit of Jaci’s lipstick on his mouth.

“Jaci! Dont you know we were worried sick about you?” Drea said, while Dottie nodded in agreement.

“I’m sorry, Tante. But I dont think you have to worry about me when it comes to being a girl, at least. For the first time, I ... I’m happy I’m a girl.”

“Well, I’m glad to hear that, but you’re still going to get a punishment for going out without telling me where you were going.”

“Yes, Tante.” Jaci said, and then turned to Keith, “I’ll ... I’ll see you again, I promise. “

Keith smiled, and said, “I can’t wait.” Then he noticed Robbie standing behind Dottie in a skirt.

“Dude? What’s with the getup?”

Robbie blushed, and said, “I’ll explain later.”

Drea took Jaci and Dottie by the hands and led the girls back to the car, and after a good scolding of Jaci, decided to only ground her for a week. Then she went to talk with Dottie, who by that point was getting ready for bed.

“So ... Robbie wore a dress for you. To make you feel safe. How do you feel about that.”

Dottie blushed, and said, “Oh, Tante, its the most wonderful thing he could have done for me. And ... and ...”

“And what?”

“When I gave him a kiss, ... my breasts ... they stood out. I ... I think I was .... turned on by seeing him dressed like that. Pretty weird, huh? I mean, I was born a boy, and I never thought I would be interested in a boy, much less a boy in a dress. But ... I ... the way it made me feel to see him like that, I wouldn't mind seeing it again.”

“Be that as it may, Dottie. You’re both too young for serious stuff. I need you to promise me that no matter how you feel, you’ll take it slow.”

“I promise, Tante.”

Good night kisses were exchanged, and finally Drea got into her own nightie, crawled into bed, and fell asleep.

Whereupon she dreamed of a double wedding. Jaci and Dottie in beautiful bridal gowns, Keith in a fine tux, and Robbie in a tux-style dress.

“Please, not for a few years!” she pleaded in her sleep. “I just realized they are my daughters, I dont want to give them away, not yet.”

With that prayer, she fell into other dreams, knowing that the night was passing, and tomorrow would be a new adventure ....

Dottie’s Christmas dinner - A Jaci/Dottie Story

Young Dottie fiddled with the dress she was supposed to be putting on, trying prolong the process as long as possible.

Drea came into her room, and smiled at the fidgeting girl.

“First Christmas dinner with your boyfriend, no wonder why you’re nervous.”

‘Its not Robbie that’s got me worried. Its spending a night with his dad’s family. I ... haven’t been around a lot of adult men for a long time.”

“You’ll be fine, honey.”

“Are you sure you’re okay me going without you?”

“I promised Jaci I would go with her to Keith’s. With her parents on the warpath I don’t want her to be alone. But you better finish getting ready, Robbie and his dad will be here to pick you up pretty soon.”

Dottie put the Christmas dress on, and looked at herself in the mirror. The dress was a rich purple-colored lace dress that went down to her knees, and she had trouble believing the pretty girl she was seeing was her. But being a girl, being pretty, they felt so ... right to her, even if she had been mistaken as a boy at birth and lived most of her short life as one before being sent to Tante Drea’s.

A tear formed in her eyes, and Drea asked, “Sweetie? You okay?”

“Better than okay, Tante. I am so grateful to you, I never would have been able to be a girl without you.”

The two of them hugged, and then the doorbell rang.

“Robbie’s here!” Dottie squealed, and ran for the door.

Drea smiled, shook her head and followed behind.

Robbie wasn’t alone. His father was with him, and another man.

Dottie bit her lip and tried to stay calm.

Robbie noticed, and whispered in Dottie’s ear “I got on something special, just for you.” He lifted the leg of his pants, showing that he was wearing nylons underneath.
Dottie giggled, and it relaxed her enough to say “Hello” to Robbie’s father, and to the other man, who was in fact married to Robbie’s dad.

Soon, they were headed for Robbie’s dad’s house, and there they were greeted by Robbie’s grandfather, and Robbie showed her around the place.

“So you split your time between here and your mom’s?” Dottie asked Robbie.

Robbie nodded. “The divorce wasn’t easy at first, but the fact everybody really loved each other made it possible.”

They sat down for dinner, and the warm love shown by these men gave Dottie the courage to ask Robbie’s grandfather about their living arrangements.

“My son and the man he loves both opened my eyes, and now I am so proud of them, and proud of the man Robbie is becoming.”

“We could open your eyes because you were willing to listen, and to learn, Dad.” Robbie’s father sad.

After supper, Dottie and Robbie went to play video games in the living room.

During a break in the game, Dottie looked back at the three men laughing and cleaning up supper, and then at a small table where the Nativity scene had been set up. She reached over and picked up one of the wise men figures, and then looked back in the kitchen.

“Penny for your thoughts?” Robbie said.

“I was just thinking ... your family, its like you got the three wise men right in your house.”

“Well, my mom and sister are great, but this place is good too.I may be willing to dress up to help you, but I am a boy at heart.”

“I think I can live with that.” Dottie said, and gave him a kiss.

“Merry Christmas, Robbie.”

“Merry Christmas, Dorothy.’

Lil Jacilynn was worried. She was twisting her hands back and forth in the passenger seat of Tante Drea's 80's Bmw E something. The car had seen better days. The once white 4 door car had more than a little rust on it's outside. The tailpipe dragged on the ground every once and while. The heater fan blew mostly warm air even if it only had one setting.

Jaci had been surprised when Tante had shown up with the car instead of their usual mini van. The car, or so it was explained to her, had been the first car she had bought new years ago. She had been all proud of it way back then but due to never having a nice place to store it and many a Canadian winter. Time had not been kind to the car. Still Drea often boasted of how "solid British engineering" was so much better.

Apparently the mini van was at some garage getting repaired or something. Still it meant that she had to sit in the old stiff leather seat, that looked more like vinyl to her, and endure the ride to Keith's place.

Not for the first time she wondered why she had gotten dressed the way she did this morning. Yeah it was christmasy with her red mini skirt and the white/pink sweater with the snowflakes on it. But did she really have to put on the makeup and white tights? She had even fretted over her hair so much that Tante Drea had final come and gave her a single side pony tail look.

When she looked in the mirror she saw a teenaged girl of the mid 80's. Thinking this caused her to giggle as this was probably how Tante Drea had looked at her age in this very same car. Jaci looked out the frosted over window at the scenery. It always amazed her, how with just a little bit of snow, the whole neighboorhood looked clean and new. This morning was even one of those mornings where there was an icefrost on the limbs of the trees making them all look like white crystal trees that were so rare and yet so beautiful at the same time.

"Don't touch the window!" Drea admonished her as she reached up with her white mittens. Mittens that were knitted by someone who she had never met. However they were a present from Vieille Tante Ruth, apparently Ruth didn't knit for some reason she was not yet told. Still they were warm.

"If you touch the window it will freeze in that pattern even more."

"Kay.." she replied.

"What's wrong honey?"

"Nuttin" one word answers.. Why ask her questions that only required one answer and then she would ...

"Are you worried about Kieth?"

"No!" she looked at the floor in a vain attempt to hide the blush she felt on her cheeks."

"Don't be sweetie. You have been doing so good lately! I'm so proud of my girl."

Jaci knew what she meant. It wasn't really anything she was trying for at the time. Back during the summer after that magical day with Kieth and his oh so wonderful silencing kiss, she had been not fretting so much about trying to be a boy.

It probably shocked Dorothy more than anyone at school when she showed up the first day in her pink blouse, marking her clearly as a member of the exclusive 'Pinks'. Dottie's mouth had hung open waiting for her at the door when she walked into the living room ready for school.

"Your wearing it." she had said.

"It's a nice blouse."

"But your wearing it."

"Well yeah so?"

"But your ACTUALLY wearing your PINK blouse!"

"Yes I am!" She had replied with a huge smile on her face. Dottie was a little shocked. So much so she walked into the open door of the house, which was quite a feat. Holding her head with the palm of her right hand Dottie lead the way out of the house. The rest of the day had been a mixture of "OMG JACI SQUEAL" or " It's about time they made you part of the pinks." There was also one or two " I'm Soooo jealous!" notably was Jenny who just glared.

"What was the address again Jaci?" drea broke into her thoughts.

"Uhhh.. let me check."

One of the more positive things that had happened was when she won her current pink cased Iphone at a gift exchange at school. Dottie has also been lucky and won a red Samsung version. They were still trying to figure out how to operate it or where they would get a contract to use it. The Iphone didn't actually connect to a network yet, just the home network at home. But it did have an offline mode that made checking things easier.

"122 east Braintree drive"

Realizing that this meant that they were on or close to the street in question made her nervous.
What if they saw right through her to the boy she really was?
What if they hated her?
What if someone there was wearing the same thing as her?
Why didn't she wear her lace trimmed red dress?

Using deep breathing exercises she calmed herself down as Drea hunched over the steering wheel trying to spot the house numbers. It probably didn't help that the old windshield was still the original and therefore pitted by years of dust and stones making it darn near impossible to see out of when someone drove by from the opposite direction.

Lil Jaci started to rub her mittened hands again and looked outside the frosty window. She wondered how her sister was doing over at Robs place. She had left before she had gotten a chance to say goodbye.

She also wondered if anyone would recognize the gift she had left to Dottie. Made to from Santa in her best handwritting. It had taken her a bit to argue with the others in the club but she had gotten Dottie her gift.

As the old Bmw pulled up into the drive of the colorfully decorated house lil Jaci suddenly wanted to run away.

--SEPARATOR--

Hiding under a real pine tree in their home was a very well wrapped present with christmasy tinkerbells on the package. The inside of the paper was covered over with packing tape making it near impossible to rip. Under the tape was a cardboard Fedex box. If one looked inside the box they would see a pink colored blouse with Dottie hand stitched over the pink embrodiered school crest.
