Chapter 1

Thomas Mileham looked out of the car trying to avoid talking to his dad. At 7, he knew he didn't like baseball, but his dad, Mr. John Mileham, made him sign up. Being the youngest of his family, Tommy was 8 years younger than his youngest older siblings, his brother, Daniel. Thomas had three other siblings - 17 year old Melody and 20 year old Jason.

Thomas didn't want to hear what his dad said. Thomas struck out the two times he was at bat, and he let two balls by him in right field. 'I don't want to play baseball,' Thomas thought to himself. 'Jason can and Danny can, but I hate it. All you do is yell at me.'

Thomas has a secret. He likes girl's dresses. One day, he was up in the attic when he saw some of his sisters old clothes, so he tried on a dress. He loved the feeling and he wishes he could wear them all the time.

Thomas heard his dad saying something, but he didn't care to answer him. Thomas was just thinking about dressing up.

"I said," his dad said. "Don't you care if you are labled a SISSY? I want you to come out to the park with Danny and I. We will show you how to hit the ball."

'I hate baseball,' Thomas said to himself. 'I hope mom will let me do something around the house. I don't want to play baseball. Please mom, give me something to do.'

Thomas sighed when his dad said, "You will be a good baseball player. Dan and I will help you." Thomas' dad heard him sigh and said, "I don't want my son to be a sissy. You are going to play baseball and football."

'Sorry, sir' Thomas thought to himself, 'I don't want to and I'll find a project that mom wants me to do. Sports are dumb and I hate it.' Thomas can't wait until he is home, so he can go to his bedroom. 'I hope mom has something for me to do!'

When Thomas got to his house, a Cape Cod style home in a modest neighborhood, he opened the door and ran into the house. He ran up the stairs into his room. He sniffed a few times, but now he wanted to cry - if he cried in the car, his dad would call him a wuss. It was enough to be called by your dad a sissy, but a wuss - Thomas didn't want that.

His dad came into the house and shook his head at his wife. MaryEllen, Thomas' mom, said, "Why are you upsetting him, John? Can't you see that he hates it?"

"I want him to play baseball like Dennis and Jason are doing. He will play, and he'll love it. Boys play sports."

"Not all boys are into sports, dear! Remember, I think Thomas would rather be doing other things like cooking. Why didn't you encourage Melody more. She loves basketball. She wants to go to UCONN (editor's note - UCONN is the University of Connecticut. Their women's basketball team is GREAT.) to get on their basketball team, yet you are forcing Thomas to do something he hates."

"Girls do not play sports. I don't care if they win 100 games in a row, women's sports are for lesbians. My daughter is not a lesbian. She is a refined young lady. Cooking is for ladies or for queers fags. Thomas will never cook, you need to stop babying him."

"She's going to UCONN. I told her she can. You aren't going to bully Thomas. Thomas doesn't have to play any sports. Thomas will learn to cook, and you aren't going to bully me or Thomas."

Soon there was a fight, so the police was called after he hit MaryEllen. MaryEllen was a victim of John's anger, but tonight she decided to protect her kids - especially Thomas.

Thomas was still in his room when he heard the police take his dad away. 'I wish I was a girl, GOD. I hate sports,' he thought to himself. 'Why was I born, mom and dad fight about me.' Truthfully, his mom supports him and eventhough they don't sem like it - his brothers and sister stick up for him, too.

In a few minutes, MaryEllen came up and knocked on his door. "Tommy honey, may I talk to you? It is time for me to make you happy. I think you can drop baseball if you want to."

"I can?" Tommy asked. "Good I want to be happy as a girl. I know I can't be one, but I wish I was born a girl."

"Tommy, if you think you'll be happier as a girl, I'll let you become a girl. Would you like to be a girl?"

"Mom," Tommy said, "Can I be a girl? I don't care what dad will say."

"Your dad won't be back, I'm getting a divorce. You are special, Tommy, and yes, you can see how a girl will be and act." MaryEllen looked at Thomas and thought, 'Jeez, you look girlish already. You don't need much.' She then said, "Are you ready to be a girl?"

Tommy looked at her and smiled. MaryEllen smiled and said, "I guess you are ready. Your brothers and sister will love to see the new you."

 

Chapter 2

Thomas looked at his mom with a worried look. He then said, "How did you know? I thought nobody knew! I guess I'm a weirdo."

"Dan and I saw you in an old dress of Mel's a few weeks ago. I had a feeling someone was looking at it, and I thought it was you. I think you'll be happier as a girl."

Thomas looked horrified, and said, "Danny knows? Jeez, I guess he thinks I am strange." He looked at his mom, then said, "I guess I'm weird. I can't be a girl, mom."

"Yes you can, Thomas," his mom said. "I should have you talk to Aunt Marion. You don't know her, because your dad forbid me from having you meet her. I think you'll be a beautiful feminine girl."

"I wish I could be a girl, mom," Thomas said. "Why should I talk to Aunt Marion? Why did dad forbid you from having her meet us."

Before MaryEllen answered, they heard Danny yelled, "Mom, I'm home. Are you here?" They could hear concern in his voice. She looked at Thomas and kissed him. She walked out of Thomas' room and went to the living room.

Danny saw his mom coming down the stairs and said, "I heard about the police being called here. Did dad hit you?" Danny, who was sitting on the love seat, didn't see her face, but when he did, Danny said, "Mom, he hit you! I want to kill him."

"Don't worry, Daniel," she said, "I had him arrested. I am going to get a restraining order on your dad. Thomas was sad when he came home from baseball, like always. I told your dad that Thomas should not be forced to play baseball."

"Don't call John my dad, mom," Dan said. "I hate that he bullies Thomas and he uses you as a punching bag. I don't ever want to see him. I think Thomas will be happier, too."

"I told him about seeing him in a dress, and I think he is confused about what you would say, Dan," MaryEllen said. "I think you should tell him. I need to go out for a while to get a restraining order on your dad."

"Don't call him that, mom," Danny said. "I hope Thomas will talk to me. He was cute in that dress of Mel's." Danny went upstairs to Thomas' room while MaryEllen went to her attorney.

Danny looked at Thomas and saw he was crying and sniffing, so Danny decided to go up to the attic and get him a nice nightie that Mel wore when she was 10. 'I should tell him that he is not the only one who's a TG,' Danny said to himself. 'I hope mom won't be mad if I showed Thomas Big Closet. Thomas might like it.'

Danny went to the attic and found the nightie of Mel. The nightie, a light purple silk material with a moon on it, looked nice. He found a pair of lilac panties with lace on it. 'He'll be happy as a girl,' Danny thought. He went to Thomas' room and knocked on the door. "Tommy? May I come in? I want to show you something."

Thomas sniffed and said, "I guess you think I'm a weirdo, Danny. I guess you think that Dad is right that I'm a sissy." He sniffed.

Danny said, "Nope, you aren't like me, Tommy. You hate sports and you like being clean. That means you are special, Tommy. I guess you think you are the only one who is like this. You have company, Tommy."

Tommy looked wide eyed at Danny and asked, "You?"

Danny laughed and said, "Not me, Tommy. My school has a Gay Straight Alliance club, and 5 of the boys like being girls. Maybe you can visit the meeting someday. Anyway, I hope you will wear this and I will show you another reason why you aren't alone." Danny showed Tommy the nightie and panties and said, "Mom and I will support you, Tommy."

Tommy looked at the nightie and smiled. "You want me to wear this?" Tommy said. "Will mom mind?"

"Mom won't mind, Tommy," Danny said. "You'll look cute. Come to the computer room after you're in your nightie." Danny left Tommy's room. Danny then gave Tommy a kiss and left his room. Danny went to the computer room.

Their mom went to her attorney to get a restraining order against John. She told her attorney that she only want the house and child support. After getting the order, she left the office, then called Marion on her cell phone.

MaryEllen said when Marion answered, "Hi sis. I decided to divorce John. I hope we can have dinner this week. I need your help?"

Marion said, "You decided to take my advice, sis. You should have done it 8 years ago, but I'm glad you decided to now. What do you need, sis?"

MaryEllen said, "I want you to meet Tommy. I think he needs to meet you. He wants to be a girl, and he thinks he is the only one. I just hope you can help him becoming a girl? I don't want to be closed minded like dad was to you."

Marion said, "Think Tommy is a TG? I just wish dad would have helped me at 7. I want Tommy to be a feminine girl. What is his girl name?"

"Truthfully, I don't know. I decided to talk to him about it after he was upset. He hated baseball, but John pushed him into it. John was yelling at him, so I decided to tell John to leave Tommy alone. Tommy was crying in his bedroom, so I told him that I think he would look beautiful as a girl and I did tell him I saw him in the attic tonight. He thinks he is the only boy who is like that."

"I'll see you tomorrow, MaryEllen. I might introduce you to my boyfriend. He is a single dad to three boys. Think I could bring them over?" Marion was thinking about having Tommy meet Averil, because he is a TG, too. "I think Tommy would like to meet Averil. I'll call you tomorrow morning. I need to call Don."

"I'll wait for your call, sis," MaryEllen said. Shutting off her cell phone, she was wondering about why she wants Tommy to meet Averil. Shaking it off, MaryEllen decided to buy Tommy a present - a nice peach colored silk dressy dress that she saw and panties. 'I think Tommy might love this,' she thought as she bought the dress and another, a lilac colored silk dress.

While their mom was buying some dresses for Tommy, Tommy, dressed in the nightie came to the computer room and said, "Danny, I'm here."

Danny said, "You are a cute girl, Tommy. I want to show you that you aren't the only one." Danny looked at Tommy and thought, 'Yes, she is a girl. I think I'll protect my little sister from boys.' Danny hit a button and said, "I want to show you this site, this site is called 'BigCloset.' It is a great site." Tommy sat in a chair next to Danny and looked at the screen. "Does mom know about this? I hope she won't get upset. Dad would." Tommy looked at himself, then said, "Dad would freak out if he saw me like this."

"Don't worry, Tommy," Danny said. "Dad is unwelcomed in the house! He been bullying you and I hate him for hitting mom. Mom is at the lawyers getting a restraining order."

Tommy looked at a story and said, "What is that?"

"This is a story from LittleKatie. I like the story," Danny said.

"I meant a restraining order, Danny," Tommy said.

"Oh, sorry, Tommy. A restraining order is a court order to prevent someone to visit. In our case it will be that moron. Tommy, you aren't the only boy who wants to a girl. 5 boys in my school wants to be." Danny and Tommy decided to surf the net, and didn't hear their mom come in.

MaryEllen looked at Danny and Tommy and saw Tommy in his light purple colored nightie and she smiled. "What you two doing?" she asked.

Tommy was scared, but Danny said, "We were looking at TG sites, mom. How do you like Tommy's nightie."

"She looks very cute, Danny. I hope she likes the presents I got her. I think she needs to go to bed. I hope my daughter will go shopping with me tomorrow."

Tommy said, "You aren't mad, mom?"

"Nope, Tommy." MaryEllen smiled.

 

Chapter 3

Tommy looked at his mom and said, "You aren't mad? Danny wanted me to wear this while he was showing me things. I can't believe that people are like me."

Danny said, "You aren't alone, Tommy. Most boys are known they are TG at an early age. According to a 'BigCloset' poll, 12% know that they are TG by the time they are 4. More by the time they are 13. The 5 boys in the club are glad that they have a club. 2 girls are in the club who wants to be boys."

Tommy said, "Why would anyone want to be a boy? I think girl's clothes are so soft." Tommy looked at his nightie, then said, "This is so nice."

"I'm glad you are happy, Tommy. I won't let anyone force you to play sports, unless you want to. I'll show you how to cook. Matter of fact, tomorrow you can help me with dinner. Aunt Marion will be here with her boyfriend and his kids."

"I can? I would love to be a girl all day tomorrow until dinner."

"Yes, you may. It is time for a happy girl to go to bed. I hope you'll like your presents."

While MaryEllen were talking about Aunt Marion being over for dinner, Marion was on the phone talking to her boyfriend. "My sister invited me over for dinner tomorrow. She invited you and your boys over, too. I'm going to help her with a special project. Averil will meet someone."

"I would like to meet your family, Marion. I think you are special, and I'm glad you're helping Averil with it. Should she wear a dress?"

"Let me borrow her, so I can take her out for a special day, just us girls. You boys can go fishing and us girls can shop."

"Ok, when do you want her? Or do you want to come over a visit me tonight," Don said in his Mae West voice. "How did you know I was thinking of going fishing?"

"Because your sons told me yesterday, dear. I'll be over in a few minutes."

At the Mileham's house, MaryEllen and Danny got kissed by Tommy, then went to his bedroom. 'This is the best,' Tommy thought to himself. 'I need a girl name. Tommy is my old name. Mom don't mind me as a girl, but I can't be a girl all the time.' He was on his bed, when he decided to look at a baby name book. He saw the name 'Tarja', so he loved the name. 'Yes, I will be Tarja Tanya Mileham. I hope mom likes it.'

In the computer room, Danny and MaryEllen were discussing about TGs. "Mom," Danny said, "I think Tommy will be happier as a girl. I will protect her. Aunt Marion will be coming over, is it because she could help Tommy?"

"Yes, my smart youngest son," she said. "You know your dad didn't want you to see her, but i did a few times. Tommy met her twice, but your dad when he saw Tommy was like me, he told me not to let him meet her. Your dad knows he was my brother Marc, and he -."

Danny said, "That guy is a jerk, mom. I don't want him labled 'my dad'. He bullied you and Tommy, and I want you to know that I'd do anything to support Tommy. Aunt Marion has a boyfriend? Cool! She needs one."

She smiled at Danny and said, "That man didn't want Marion around Tommy, so I could take him to meet Marion. I think we should move, to a house in the country. I saw a nice house, 13 miles from here. It is a 5 bedroom house on 10 acres with an indoor pool. I can sell this house, and we can move to it. I guess you'd miss your friends."

"I don't mind moving. I want to start anew because if we stay here, THAT GUY might cause us problems. He could attack Tommy if he found out he was dressed as a girl. I don't want to see him ever. Tommy is scared of him and I'm going to protect my little sister."

"I should ask Melody if she wants to move. She has one more year, and I'll let her decide if she wants to leave. I would like to move out of here."

"Ask me what, mom?" Melody said. Melody, dressed in jeans and a t-shirt was snapping her gum.

"I am divorcing your dad. I would like to know if you would like to move or finish up here. Tommy and Danny would like to move. If you want you could finish up here. I'll see if someone would let you stay here. I thought you were staying at Stephanie?"

"I came home, to get a science book, mom. I can stay here and finish up? I hope you won't mind if I stay here. You finally did it, mom! Good. Does that mean I can play basketball next year? Stephanie just announced she's going to UConn. I hope they'll let me play for them." Mel is an honor roll student, and along with the basketball team, she is a cheerleader, student government member and member of the softball team. "I think Stephanie's folks would let me stay at their house."

MaryEllen smiled and said, "Don't be so happy, Mel. You can stay, and let me see if you can stay with the Leadleys. Will you be here tomorrow? Aunt Marion will be here with her boyfriend and his kids."

"I have to babysit for the Iversons tomorrow, mom. Tell Aunt Marion hello for me. Jason has a baseball game at 10, and Stephanie and I might go to the mall. I am trying to help Steph with a problem and I got to get my book and notebook. I love you, mom." Melody ran up the stairs and went to her bedroom to get her notebook and science book.

Danny said, "I think we should move, mom. We'll be happier." He shut off the computer and said, "Good night, mom."

"Good Night, dear." MaryEllen hugged him and then went into the kitchen after watching her son go up the stairs. After making herself a cup of tea, she went to bed.

 

Chapter 4

MaryEllen drank her tea before bed; in the kitchen it was quiet. Soon, Danny came in and hugged his mom. "Mom, do you think grandpa would have ever gotten over Marion becoming a girl? Gram doesn't say much about her either. Do you think Gram will hate Tommy?"

"Remember," MaryEllen said, "Your gramps was in the Vietnam War. He thought that men were men, it was a shock to him when Marc came home as Marion. I think your gram wants to patch things up with Marion. You do miss your gramps, don't you?"

"Yes, I do miss Gramps. I just wish I told him that I love him more. Mom, when is dinner tomorrow? George, Craig and Kyle will be going skateboarding at the park with me."

"I want you home at 4:30. I want you to make a good impression with Marion's boyfriend," MaryEllen said. "Good night, dear."

Danny said, "Night mom." He opened the refrigerator and took out the carton of orange-pineapple juice and poured himself a glass. He smiled at his mom and went to his bedroom. He put the glass on his nightstand and stripped to his briefs.

MaryEllen finished her tea, then went to her bedroom. She went to the closet and saw a lilac colored nightie so she wore that. 'Tommy,' she thought, 'We'll be twins tonight.'

Marion, in her Ford Taurus, was on her way to her boyfriend's house. When she got there, a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom 2 story Tudor, she saw the garage door opening and her boyfriend standing there with a tray containing a wine bottle and two wine glasses. She drove into the garage, rolled down her window and said, "Are you trying to get me drunk, love?"

Her boyfriend, Craig Overington, said, "Nope, I just want to tell you that I love you so much." He put the tray down on a table and took a small box and got on his knee. "Marion, will you make me happy and marry me?" Craig opened the small box.

Marion saw it was a 5 caret diamond and opal ring. "Yes, and I know who I want as my maids of honor, love," Marion said. "I would love to be your wife. I saw a beautiful flower girl dress and I think Averill will love wearing it." She kiss Craig. "You are so lovable, my dear."

"Yes, and I hope I can show you how lovable I am, dear," Craig said. He uncorked the wine bottle and poured the wine into the glasses. Craig gave Marion a glass, then said, "To us. To a happy future. A future filled with love and happiness."

They clanked the glasses together then went inside. Craig and Marion went into the master bedroom suite which is on the first floor and cuddled up.

In the morning, Craig woke up and kissed Marion. "Don't get up, dear. Have fun with Averill today." Craig got out of bed, and pulled on son jeans and a flannel shirt. He then went upstairs to wake up 12 year old Ben and 6 year old Neal.

Ben looked at his dad and smiled. "I hope I'll get that big bass today. Is Marion coming over to watch Averill?"

"Yes, she is here. I got to wake up Neal, then we can get going to BurgerKing for breakfast. Be quiet, don't wake up Averill." Craig went out of Ben's room.

He went across the hall to Neal and woke him up. Neal said, "Hi daddy!" and got out of bed. He put on his jeans and a flannel shirt and gave Craig a hug.

 

At the Mileham's, MaryEllen woke up and went downstairs to start breakfast. She was cooking bacon, so soon Danny woke up and smiled. He walked into the kitchen, so MaryEllen said, "Dear, would you make the toast. I'm going to wake up your sister."

Danny said, "Yes, mom." He went to the freezer and got the whole wheat bread out and also the raisin bread.

MaryEllen went into Tommy's room. She looked around and she saw that Tommy was unlike Danny's room. Danny had posters of rock stars and sport stars, while Tommy doesn't have any posters. Tommy's was clean while Danny was messy. She went to Tommy and said, "Wake up, dear. Time to eat."

Tommy looked at his mom and smiled. "Hi mom! I dreamt I was a girl."

"You are a girl, Tommy. You will be a girl from now on. Breakfast, then I want to get you ready for the day. I got a new dress for you. We are going to shop for you."

Tommy smiled and kissed his mom. They went downstairs and had breakfast. Danny looked at Tommy and his mom, then said, "You two are twins. Purple nightie. Here's breakfast!!" Danny gave them 2 eggs on toast, then sat down with 4 eggs on toasts.

After breakfast, MaryEllen andTommy cleaned up, then they went to MaryEllen's bedroom. When they got there, MaryEllen started a bath for Tommy, then said, "Tommy, today will be the first day as a girl! Hop into the tub and I will get you ready."

Tommy took off the nightie and the panties then went into the tub. The bath water smelled wonderful - like lilacs.

 

Chapter 5

While Tommy was in the bathtub, his mom put out his new lilac colored silk dress, with purple silk panties, white stockings, white slip and a white training bra on her bed. She then went into the bathtub and said, "Having a good time, honey?"

Tommy said, "This is nice. I'm glad you aren't mad that I wish I was a girl. Dad said that I'm a sissy. Are you sure he won't ever be back?"

"Honey, I'm going to protect you. We got to get you dressed, so we can buy some dresses and clothes for my new daughter. I'll show you how to dress like a girl. Get out now, honey." MaryEllen unfolded a towel and she started to dry Tommy. MaryEllen looked at her son closely and thought, 'I wonder if Tommy is a girl. I know Danny and Jason's penis were much bigger at 8, then Tommy's is.' MaryEllen read about a girl who when she was born was thought to be a boy, but when she hit 11 and started puberty, breasts formed. 'I wonder if they goofed up at the hospital.'

At the Overington's, Marion was asleep in Craig's bed, when she felt someone climbing into the bed with her. Marion turned over and saw Averil, in his pink barbie nightgown, so Marion said, "Morning, honey. Ready for shopping. We have a busy day, today."

"Where are we going to do today, Marion? I saw a swimsuit at Feline's, so I hope I could get it. It is a pink bikini."

"I saw a nice dress that I hope you'll love, Averil. It is a flower girl's dress and I hope you'll wear it for a special event soon." She showed the ring to Averil.

"You'll be my mom?" Averil asked. "This is neat, I hope I can be a flower girl for you."

"You are one of two I hope to have. We are going shopping, go to the hair salon and then we can bake a pie later. We are going to my sister's house. We have been invited to dinner tonight. I hope you'll wear that beautiful light blue silk dress we made a month ago."

"I hope my brothers will clean up. Two flower girls? I hope she'll like me."

"I think he'll like you, Averil. I wish we could cuddle up, but lets get ready." Marion kissed Averil and said, "Lets have cereal, I'll treat you to lunch." Marion climbed out of bed and walked to the kitchen, with Averil following.

They got out the Special K and the skim milk and had a bowl.

At Loux Park's skateboarding area, Danny was the first one there. Soon Kyle, his buddy from the school's GSA club, walked over. Danny saw that he was unhappy, so Danny said, "Did you tell your mom? She was upset?"

"No," Kyle said, "Kole saw it, so he told dad. Dad wants to send me to a shrink. I wish they would layoff me. I'm glad you are open minded, Danny. If you hated me, I'd kill myself. I can't wait until I'm out of the dumb town."

"Kyle, I'm moving soon. My mom is divorcing my dad and mom told us about a nice house she was looking at. It has an indoor pool."

Kyle looked at Danny and said, "I should kill myself. You are my best friend, Danny. I wish I could go with you, but your mom would think I'm a weirdo."

"Mom, would accept you. Remember I told the club about my brother trying on Mel's dress? Today, Tommy will be a girl. Tommy, told mom that he wished he was a girl." Danny saw George and Craig, two of their classmates and riends of Danny, walking towards them. "After skateboarding let me treat you to an ice cream cone, so we can chat."

Tommy looked at his new clothing and hairstyle, then said, "I look like a girl, Mom! I love it." He looked at the two pigtails that were tied with a lilac colored ribbon and bowed.

MaryEllen said, "I'm glad to have a new daughter. We need to get you new clothes and we need to get the ingredients for dinner tonight. I will show you how to cook dinner. What is your new girl's name? I can't call you Tommy."

"I'm Tarja, mom. I saw it in a baby name book. I'm Tarja Ashleigh Mileham."

"It is a lovely name for a lovely daughter. I think the name is as special as you are. We are having Fruit Glazed Pork Roast, potatoes, wax beans and maybe a blueberry pie. I will show my daughter how to cook. Ready to go shopping, Tarja?"

Tarja shook her head and they went shopping, the first place they stopped was Burlington Coat Factory.

At the Overington's, Averil was dressed in a pale yellow sundress with Marion in a white blouse and green skirt. They were ready to go shopping with them going to 'GoodWater Square Mall', a 6 department store (Feline's, JC Penny, Lord & Taylor, Feline Home, Macy's and Read's) anchored mall.

Marion and Averil walked to Marion's Taurus, with Averil playing with her doll. Averil sat in the back and buckled in then started to bottle feed his doll.

When they got to the mall, Averil showed Marion the bikini he saw at Feline's. Marion bought that along with a one piece, plus a three piece swimsuit - top bottom and shorts. Marion saw a summery dress for Averil so she bought it, then they walked to the mall area and started towards Nordstrom.

After shopping at 'Burlington Coat Factory', MaryEllen went to 'Bob's Furniture', to buy a new bedroom set for Tarja. They looked around, and Tarja saw the perfect girl's bedroom - a white and pink painted canopy bed with white and pink painted furniture. MaryEllen bought the set and set it aside for the new house.

After 'Bob's' they hit 'T.J. Maxx' and 'Bob's Stores', both for dresses and other girl's wear. Soon, they stopped into 'Barnes & Noble', so Tarja looked at Discovery Girl, J-14 and American Girl. Tarja picked them from the shelf, walked to the cafe and started to read them while MaryEllen was in line.

On Nepash Lake, Craig, Ben and Neal were out fishing in their 19 foot Ranger Bass Boat with a Suzuki 150 Bass outboard on it. Neal cast a line into the lake, then said, "Dad, what is Averil and Marion doing today?"

"They are going shopping, Neal," Craig said, as he cast his line into the bed of weeds. "Girls love to shop."

"Why do they?" Neal asked.

Craig looked at his two boys, who are wearing dirty jean shorts and a T-shirt. He smiled and said, "They love to be in fashion. Girls hate to be out of fashion. Us boys are comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, but they like to dress up."

Neal said, "If boys hate shopping, why does Ben like to go to the Mall?"

Ben said, "Boys go to the mall to eat, play video games and GIRLWATCH, Neal. You'll go to the mall to girlwatch, too."

Neal said, "Girls yuck! I hate girls."

Ben and Craig laughed and Ben said, "Don't you like Marion?" Ben does have a girl playmate - Caroline.

Ben said, "Don't you like Caroline, Neal?"

Neal said, "Marion is nice she loves to cook and sew patches on my jeans. Caroline loves to climb trees and play with my trucks." Neal had a crush on Caroline, who was 8.

At Loux Park, Danny had enough skateboarding so he decided to say, "See you around you guys. I'm going to get an ice cream." He smiled at Kyle.

Danny started towards downtown towards 'Golden Cow Ice Cream', soon Kyle ran up to him and said, "They are staying here. I need to talk to you, Danny."

"Lets get an ice cream cone, and lets walk around Riverside Park. We can talk in the cave, noone will bother us. I know you are depressed, Karla." Danny used Kyle's feminine name.

"Why don't my mom and dad let me be myself. I wish I could ask your mom to take me with you. I'll miss you."

"I'm not sure when we are leaving, Karla. What flavor do you want?"

 

Chapter 6

At the 'Golden Cow', Danny bought Kyle an ice cream cone then started down Columbus Drive to Riverside Park. They were going to 'The Cave' to discuss Karla. Walking down Columbus Drive, Kyle and Danny were talking about the club. They were talking about sports, the ice cream cone they were eating, and summertime, which would be soon be here.

At Loux Park, George and Craig were skateboarding, when George stopped. He sat at the bench and asked the others, "Do you think Kellen was telling the truth? I mean, the best basketball player at the school wants to be a girl?"

Craig said, "That's why the club is there. Remember, we can't judge. I still can't believe my cousin is undergoing SRS. I wonder if a TG can play women's sports in college?"

"I'm not sure," George said. "See Kellen play for the WNBA."

"Write a story about a WNBA TG player for 'THE BIG CLOSET'," Craig said. "George, does your nephew still want to be a girl? I still think that boys should NOT be called sissies."

"Yes, Marlin does," George said. "My sister thinks he's better as a little girl. I mean he's still small for 12, so the doctor said he's mostly a girl."

At Barnes and Noble, MaryEllen and Tarja were at a table having a drink. Tarja was looking at American Girl magazine, and saw a lovely dress. "Mom," she said, "Look at this dress. I wish I had a place to wear it."

"It is lovely, dear," MaryEllen said. "Did you have a good time? We need to go to Bed Bath & Beyond to get you sheets for your new bed. We need to get home and start dinner."

Tarja had a cookbook and said, "Mom would you buy this for me? I want to help you cook."

"You are the best daughter ever, Tarja," MaryEllen said.

"Thanks, mommy," Tarja said.

They finished their snack, then went to Bed Bath & Beyond to buy some sheets for Tarja's new bed. They bought silk sheets in lilac and pink, cotton sheets in flower patterns and pink, pale yellow, pale green and lilac. After Bed Bath & Beyond, they went home to start dinner.

At Nepash Lake, Craig, Ben and Neal were fishing. Craig asked, "Want to cruise around before we head home? Marion was invited to dinner and we're going. We need to get cleaned up. We need to head back in an hour and a half. Where do you guys want to go?"

Nepash Lake is a flood control dam, and the lake has many inlets. One of the best known is a beach called Cliff Point, a site of an old quarry; another is Bridge Cove where the old railroad bridge is under water. The boys wanted to cruise around there, so they did for an hour.

At Nordstrom's, Marion and Averill looked at the dress Marion wanted the flower girls to wear. Averill asked, "The dress is so pretty. Do you think she'll like it, too?"

Marion said, "I hope he'll like it. I hope you'll help him."

"He?" Averill asked. "What do you mean?"

"Yes, he is my nephew," Marion said. "I hope you'll help out. Let's look at swimsuits. I want to get a pair for both of you. We've got to go home and make the pie."

When Tarja and MaryEllen got home, Tarja put her clothing in her room. Soon, they started dinner with Tarja making a dessert from her cookbook. MaryEllen helped Tarja and soon the meal was cooking.

"Now," MaryEllen said, after cleaning up the kitchen. "We need to get ready for the party. Let's take a bath."

 

Chapter 7

Marion and Averill were looking at swimsuits in Nordstrom's when 8 year-old Averill, looking at a little girl's bikini, asked, "Mom, I know I'm not alone wanting to be a girl, you and dad are supporting me, but you are saying that my cousin is? Why haven't I met her?"

Marion asked, "Remember I said you aren't alone? I knew Tommy was alone when his dad forbade me to see my sister. I knew he - Tommy's dad - would have a problem supporting Tommy when he called me a weirdo. Just like at your old school, when people picked on you."

Marion, is a psychiatrist, specializing in teen TG and infantilism issues. That is how Craig and Marion met, when Craig, a lawyer, had a mother for a client who wanted to help her teen son have SRS. Craig used Marion professionally for a few years. When Averill started wearing girl's clothes, Craig took Averill to see Marion. Soon Craig and Marion fell in love.

Averill said, "Tommy's dad must be HATEFUL! I hope I'll never see him. I'm glad dad supports me and I hope I can help Tommy. What is his girl name?" Averill saw a cute bikini, and showed it to Marion. "This is a cute bikini!"

Marion laughed and said, "I think your dad would think you are growing up too fast. In July, for your ninth birthday, I'll get it for you. See if you can find another just like it."

MaryEllen took Tarja to the master bath and they both undressed. MaryEllen filled the tub and put some bath beads in it. MaryEllen and Tarja then got into the tub and soaked.

Tarja said, "Mom, I'm happy that I'm a girl today. I don't want the weekend to end. I wish I could be a girl at school, but the kids would really laugh at me." She thought about what would happen if she were a girl at school. 'I would really get called names. I just can't wait until summer vacation and I hope I'll stay a girl this summer.'

"Tarja, I'll see if I can get you registered as a girl at your new school. I'm glad you are enjoying it. I believe you are a girl." MaryEllen started to wash her.

In a house 7 miles from the Mileham's, an 11 year old boy, typed 'transgender' in his search engine. The boy, Darby Yarnell, thought to himself, 'I guess I'm the only sissy who thinks like this.'

Darby Yarnell, an orange red-haired, green-eyed boy who was short, was a sad little boy. He lived with his mom, two older brothers (Mike 17 and Robert 14), an older sister (Denise 15), a younger brother (Logan 9) and two younger sisters (Autumn 8 and Kaylee 5). Darby recently wanted to dress as a girl, but he thought he was a nut. He heard about transgenderism, so he decided to see if he could get info.

Soon, Yahoo listed a few sites, and Darby saw a page saying 'TG issues for preteens and teens', so Darby clicked on the page; it was Marion's website.

After they paid for their clothing at Nordstrom's, Marion and Avrill went home. Marion showed Avrill how to bake an apple pie and they also made cheesecake squares.

While the pie and cookies were baking, Marion said, "Lets clean up and then lets get ready for the party. Avrill, I hope you'll like Tommy. This is her first weekend of being a girl."

Averill said, "I hope I can help her become a girl. I hope I can be a psychiatrist and help TG teens when I grow up. I hope someday I can get pregnant with my own kids."

Marion said, "They are working on it, dear. Who knows? You might be a birth-mom."

At Riverside Park, Danny and Kyle climbed to get to 'The Cave', a small cave where revolutionaries used to hide the French during the war of independence in the 1700s; used by slaves in the early 1800s as a way station on the underground railroad; and by bootleggers to hide alcohol in the 1930s. The cave was now hidden by trees and was a steep climb, but Danny and Kyle were looking for privacy.

When they got to the cave, Danny said, "Kyle, you know that you are my best friend. DO NOT KILL YOURSELF. I'll think of something, just because you are in the wrong body doesn't mean anything to me; you are still special."

"I know! I wish my mom would open her mind. I hope she'll at least take me to a shrink."

"What you want shrunk?" Danny asked.

Kyle laughed and said, "I hate those spam about getting a bigger penis. Even at my Yahoo! Account, I get those stupid spam messages."

"Me too, my mom said that women aren't interested in size, mom said that it is how you act towards a lady that is number one."

At Nepash Lake, Craig, Ben and Neal were relaxing at Bridge Cove. They were swimming from their boat. Craig, looking at the time, said, "WE have to get home now. Marion wants you guys to dress up."

Ben said, "What does mom want us to wear? Do we have to wear ties?"

Craig, starting up the boat, said, "Nope, just school pants and a clean shirt. Neal, take a bath when you get home!"

Neal said, "I don't need one, I was swimming. Why do I need a bath?"

Craig smiled to himself and thought, 'Neal is not a girl. He is 100% pure boy.'

Chapter 8

At Nepash Lake, Craig, Ben and Neal were relaxing in Bridge Cove - diving off the boat. Craig dove into the water and came up. He said, "Time to go home. Neal, swimming is not the same as washing." Craig climbed into the boat and started the engine. As he was cruising toward the launch area, he saw a family with boat trouble. The dad, was looking at an old Johnson, so Craig decided to see if he needed a tow.

The dad said, "Sure, I think I blew my cylinder. We just moved here, and I don't know a good dealer."

Craig told him about the boat dealer down the road,and said, "If you want, I'll take you there. Good people. They are closing for the day, so I'll call them to see if they can wait."

The dad said, "Thanks. We moved here about a week ago. We been working on our house, so today, we decided to go boating. I'm Donald Kells, this is my fiancee Ann Texidor and our bo- kids. That is Alexi, Ian and Pol Kells, and Chris, Ryan and Austin Texidor."

Ben heard Mr. Kells say boys, but he looked at two of the girls. The girls, dressed in t-shirts over blue 2-piece swimsuits, were as cute as their mom, who wore the same thing. Ben smiled at them. 'Now,' Ben thought to himself, 'I guess Mr. Kells mad a mistake.'

Craig towed the boat to the boat launch. At the dock, Craig took Neal to the truck, while Don, carrying Austin, went to get his truck. Craig and Don talked about their family and boating.

Tarja and MaryEllen were relaxing in the tub. Tarja thought about Monday and going back to school as Tommy. There, as Tommy, he was picked on - called sissy, get tripped, get his books knocked to the floor and worse things. Tarja sighed and said, "I love being a girl, mom!"

"I know you do," MaryEllen said. "I guess we need to get up and get dressed. I want you to wear your new purple silk dress? I want Marion to say how BEAUTIFUL you are." MaryEllen started to get out of the tub, helped Tarja out of the tub. MaryEllen showed Tarja how to dry off, then they wrapped the towels around them and MaryEllen started on Tarja's hair. MaryEllen did her nails in a light purple color and then MaryEllen got Tarja dressed. MaryEllen showed Tarja everything about getting dressed.

Tarja said, "It is different then boys, mommy." Tarja had her lilac panties on first, a training bra in lilac, a chemise, white stockings and now MaryEllen was going to put Tarja's new purple silk dress on.

Darby looked at the page. He thought to himself, 'It won't hurt to e mail her. I wonder if she had the same problems.' Darby clicked on the 'contact Marion' button, so Darby wrote:

I just discovered your webpage. I need help and I hope you can help me. I am small for my age (11) and I hope you can help me.

Darby wrote about his feelings and he wanted to get information. He sent the e mail to Marion, then he saw a chat area. 'I doubt anyone my age would be here. I would seriously doubt they'll let anyone my age here.' He clicked the chat button and soon Darby was in a chatroom with three other chaters - Carla16, Girl12 and Brooke15.

Brooke15 typed: 'Hi Darby. U nu? Carla16, r u goin to the party? mom just got a new swimsuit.'

girl12 typed: 'i won't miss it. my mom is happy that im feeling better.'

Darby typed: 'I'm new online.' Darby was shy so he decided to leave the chat. Darby - in 10 minutes - decided to visit again.

Dan and Kyle were talking at the Cave when, Dan said, "Whatever happens, Karla, don't kill yourself. I might ask my aunt to see what I can to help you. I got to get home, my aunt is coming over for dinner. I hope my aunt can talk to us at school. Karla, don't do anything foolish."

Kyle said, "Thanks, Dan. I won't because you are special. Going to call me tonight?"

Dan said, "Yes. Lets get home. I might have some good news, later." Dan and Kyle got out of the cave and walked to their homes.

Marion and Averill - after their bath - did their hair, nails and make up, then put on their outfits. Both wore light blue sundress. Averill went to her room to play with her dolls and she was taking 3 of them to dinner, but then Averill said, "Mom, may I go online? I want to tell Brooke, Carla, Briana, Terry and Taylor that you'll be my mom."

Marion said, "Yes, you may. If you want to, see if Brooke can go to the party. I should check my e mail. I haven't looked at it since yesterday. I hope we can have 25 kids at the party."

Averill went to Marion's chat room and saw 5 of the people she knew. Averill typed: 'Hi all! Darby and Quinn, r u new here?'

Darby typed: 'Yes. I am new. I hope I can be here.'

Girl12 typed: 'You can. I'm 12. Avy is 8.'

Quinn typed: 'New here. My dad is mad at me. I hate being a boy.'

Averill typed: 'Quinn, I hated being a boy, too! Quinn, did you tell anyone?'

Quinn typed: 'Who should we tell? My dad would tell me to stop being a sissy. My mom would blame it on my dad.'

Girl12 typed: 'Averill, both of them need Dr.Marion to help them.'

Averill typed: 'Briana, Dr. Marion will be my mom! I'm going to help out my stepcousin tonight.' Averill told them about Tommy.

Girl12 typed: 'Avy, tell Dr. Marion congratulations. You going to be the flower girl?'

Averill typed: 'Yes, me and Tommy. Anyone seen Brooke today?'

Carla typed: 'Just missed her. She e mailed your mom about the party. She just bought a new swimsuit. Mom and dad are talking about it. Dad and Zack might go to the races, so we might be at the party.'

Darby typed: 'What is this party?'

Averill told Darby about the party, and Averill answered a few questions. Averill shut off the computer, when her dad came in.

Dan got home and MaryEllen told him to take a shower. MaryEllen told him to wear dress pants and a polo shirt. Dan went to his room ad took a shower.

10 minutes later, Dan was downstairs, helping MaryEllen set the table. Dan looked at Tommy and said, "Tommy, you are a beautiful girl."

"I won't be Tommy except at school. I'm Tarja," Tarja said as she helped MaryEllen with dinner.

"Nice name, Tarja," Dan said.

Craig looked at Averill and said, "Hi princess! Did you have a fun day? You look cute enough to cuddle."

Averill said, "Thanks, daddy. I love you!"

Craig said, "I think you want me to take a shower! Girls!"

Averill looked at her dad and giggled.

 

Chapter 9

Craig looked at Averill and said, "I know you don't want a sweaty guy kissing you. You're so beautiful, I need to take a shower."

Craig walked into the kitchen where Marion was sitting. Craig said, "My girls are so beautiful! I guess I should get cleaned up, so I can kiss you both."

Marion said, "I just told our sons to take a shower, so should I tell you?" She looked at Craig and smiled.

Craig said, "Yes, mommy! I'm going to take my bath now!"

Marion laughed and said, "NOW GO!". She watched Craig leave the kitchen. Marion thought, 'I'm lucky to have Craig, Ben, Neal, and especially Averill. I'm glad to have my sister back in my life. Thank you, God!'

In the family bathroom, Ben and Neal both were in the shower. Ben was washing both himself and Neal.

Neal asked, "Why couldn't I get dressed in my dress clothes?"

Ben, cleaning Neal's penis, said, "Turn around, I need to clean your butt. Ben, the lake water isn't clean." Ben told him about the water in lakes while he cleaned Neal's butt. They both rinsed off, and Ben said, "Now you're clean. Want me to dress you?"

When Averill got off the computer, Darby and Quin were chatting with Girl12, Brooke15 and Carla16. Darby typed, 'Were you all really boys? What did your dads say?'

Carla typed, 'I have a better relationship now then I did as a boy. My dad sees me as the girl I've always been. My brother thinks it's cool to have a big sister.'

Quin typed, 'You guys are lucky! My dad would take me to a shrink. That's AFTER he took me to a boxing match.'

Girl12 typed, 'Quin, your dad sounds like a MACHO MORON. A boxing match is two morons trying to beat each other to a pulp. That's not a sport for either men or women.'

Brooke15 said, 'My dad hasn't seen me or my brothers in 8 years. I don't care.'

Darby typed, 'Are you guys the youngest? I wonder what my brothers would say if I told my mom.'

Girl12 typed, 'Darby, I have an 11 year old and a 7 year-old brother and a 6 year-old sister. My 11 year-old brother is 180 degrees apart from me. He loves fixing things and getting dirty. My 7 year old brother is another me. Mom is letting him explore being a girl.'

Darby typed, 'How?'

Girl12 typed, 'He wears my sister's clothes at times. Mom didn't buy him any dresses yet, but he has some panties.'

Quin typed, 'You guys sound as if you are from a loving family. I hope Dr. Marion will be able to help me.'

Brooke15 typed, 'She will! Hello, Haley! Are you going to the party?'

Haley typed, 'YES! What you chatting about today?'

Carla16 typed, 'Shopping! :)' Then she typed, 'Talking about how our families reacted to us being girls instead of boys.'

Haley typed, 'It is great.'

Dan helped Tarja set the table. He was wondering if he should talk to Marion about Kyle and if she could visit the school's club to talk to the kids there. Dan said, "Do you think Aunt Marion would accept an invitation to talk to my school? I need to help Kyle."

"I think she would accept," Tarja replied. "Is Kyle's dad giving him a hard time? I'm glad you have an open mind, love."

"Kyle is getting more and more depressed. I told him about us moving and he wished he could move with us. I hope Aunt Marion will help him. I told him that he's a great person."

Tarja said, "I love you, Danny. You are the best big brother!"

Don, Ann and the kids left the marina in their Suburban. Alexi asked, "Dad, did you think they noticed that we're boys? Ben was looking at us funny."

Ann said, "I think he was looking at 2 beautiful lovely girls. You said that when we moved you'd be happy. Dr. Marion is near here, so that is why we moved, to help you both to be girls."

Chris said, "Mom, I'm glad you and Don didn't get upset. Don, thanks for being understanding. Mom, you never did answer us about going to that party. Averill said that it will be a pool party."

Craig took a shower, shaved, and dressed in a business suit. He went downstairs and kissed his favorite girls and said, "Are we ready? Ben and Neal, time to go!"

Marion said, "Yes, we're ready. Could you take these bags to the car?" She gave Craig some bags, then watched as Ben and Neal came down the stairs. She hugged Ben and then said, "Neal, you are so cute dressed up!" She kissed Neal. "Ben, could you take these CAREFULLY to the car?"

Marion looked at Averill and asked, "Do you have your purse? Ready to meet your cousin?" Averill nodded, so Marion called out, "Love, do you have the house key?"

Craig said, "Yes, dear." Marion took Neal's hand and they, Neal, Averill, and Marion, walked to the car. Soon they were on the way.

The Story of Tarja -- Chapter 10

On the way to the Mileham's, Averill, playing with her dolls that she bought, wondered about her new aunt and her family. She then asked Marion, "Mom, why didn't we meet them before?"
Marion looked at Marion, smiled and then said, "Honey, your aunt MaryEllen, thought she married a sweet man when they married. Unfortunatly, he thought that transexuals were nuts and forbade MaryEllen to see me. MaryEllen and I did met a few times and we are still close. When Tommy thought that he was born wrong, a year ago, his dad thought I was at fault. He wanted to make him more athletic. MaryEllen knew it was time to help him."
Craig looked at Marion and smiled. "Averill," he said, "That is not a man, but a bully. A man should be proud of their kids - even if one is in the wrong body. It shouldn't matter, because you should raise the kids to be happy and successful." He then looked at Marion and said, "I love you, dear. You are the best for our kids."
Marion said, "I love you, dear. Take the next left at the light. I know you men don't like to ask for directions." She lovingly tapped Craig’s shoulder.
Craig laughed and said, "I'm not a woman. You, dear, are the woman. You always ask directions."
Averill stopped playing with her dolls, as she wanted to know more about Tommy, but she didn't say anything. 'I hope we can have sleepovers,' Averill thought. "Mom, do you think we could invite her to the swim party?" Averill continued to play with her dolls. She hoped that Tommy will like the dolls, so they can play together.
"I hope you do, honey," Marion, looking at Averill, said. She then looked at Craig and said, "Turn here, love and we are there. That house."
Craig pulled into the driveway, parked and then said, "Be good all. This is our first meeting with them. They are Marion's family."
Averill said, “I hope they’ll like me - especially Tommy. I hope she’ll like the presents, mom.” She opened her car door and got out carrying the doll she brought.
Ben said, "We will, mom and dad." He looked at Neal, who was asleep in his car seat, so Ben said, “Neal will be good, too. He is asleep.” Ben woke up Neal and he said, “Neal, we are here.”
Marion said, "You'll like Daniel, Ben. He is a great kid. He is a good football, baseball and lacrosse player. Dan‘s a sports nut, especially baseball."
Ben said, "Cool. Are we ready? Averill and Neal are. Mom, what‘s his favorite team?"
Marion said, “In baseball? The Sox of course.”

She would have been here if she didn‘t have it." Soon MaryEllen and Tarja came out from the kitchen, so Marion said, "Hello, sis. Is this Tarja? MaryEllen, Tarja and Dan, these are Craig, Ben, Averill and Neal. Sis, Dan and Tarja, this is Craig, my soon to be husband, and our kids - Ben, Averill and Neal." She looked at Tarja and gave her the present saying, "This is from Averill and me. I hope you'll like it."
Tarja took the gift and said, "Thank You." She looked at Averill, who had her dolls, and said, "Thank you."
Mary Ellen said, "Open the present, Tarja."
Tarja opened the gift and saw the sundress. She smiled and said, "This is so beautiful. Thank You."
Averill said, "Want to try it on, Tarja. I like your name!"
Tarja said, "Thank you."
MaryEllen said, "Dear, go try it on. Do you need help? Averill will help you. Then you can play with Averill‘s dolls."
Averill looked at Marion and said, "She doesn't know? Don't worry Tarja. Lets see how it looks on you. Yes, lets play with the dolls."
Tarja said, "Okay." Tarja and Averill ran to Tarja's bedroom.

After Tarja and Averill went to Tarja’s bedroom, MaryEllen and Marion went to the kitchen to finish up dinner. In the living room, Ben, Dan and Neal were talking about sports, fishing and boating with Craig. Ben said, "Dan think you'll like having a sister?"
Dan said, "It won't bother me to have another sister. I have a sister, so I'm glad Tarja will be happy." He looked at Ben and then said, “I knew Tommy didn’t like to play sports, but he loves to help mom with cooking. Dad said ‘Cooking is for sissies and women.’” Dan shook his head.
Craig said, “Boy, I doubt Mario or Emeril would like to hear that! Some of the country’s best chefs are men. Anyway, what is wrong with men cooking or women playing sports. There isn’t anything wrong with them.”
“I know that,” Dan said. “I need to talk to Marion if she would come to my school’s GSA club. I want my best friend to know that he isn’t alone. I’m worried about a few other boys, too.”
“Worried? How?” Craig asked. “I think Marion would accept the invitation to the GSA club.”
Ben said, “Mom went to my school’s GSA club. My best friend is gay, but I’m not sure.” Ben looked at Craig, to look at his dad’s reaction.
Dan said, “I’m straight, but I do have 3 friends who are gay and 3 who wants to be girls. When I told my jerk of a dad that I’m joining, he called it a club for morons and sickos.” Dan sighed, then continued, “He didn’t want me to join because he said those people can be cured.”
Craig said, “They can’t. I doubt if there is a gene, but I think gays are born being gay. I think your dad, Dan, did care if you had gay friends. I mean he thought they would ‘corrupt you‘. You dad has old fashioned values.”
Dan said, “Nope. He didn’t like gays. My dad is an asshole! He used to say when gays are killed the person who killed them should be honored. He hates the fact that Tarja is not into sports. He thought that Tarja would love it if he was forced.” He looked at Craig, Dan and Neal, then said, “Sorry, my dad is a jerk. I hope I won’t be like him when I become a dad. If I didn‘t enjoy football, I would quit. There are some homophobic jerks on the team.”
Ben laughed at the comment about loving sports if he was forced, then stopped. “Sorry, Dan, but that is BS. I still hate doing homework and dad force me.” He looked at Craig and smiled.
“Ben,” Craig said laughing, “You are right. Same with Neal and his veggies.“ Craig looked at Dan, then continued, “Dan, just look at the NFL. You don’t think all of those people are straight. Same with the NBA, NHL and Major League Baseball. I bet some are TV and TG, too. Dennis Rodmen was.” Craig looked at Dan and said, “Your teammates are homophobic, Dan? You know?”
Ben said, “Yes and when that guy who played for Orlando announced he was gay, jeez, that was in the news for days.”
Dan said, “There’s about 7 hateful homophobes on the team. They love tobeat up people who either they think are gay or supports gays. One of the group, was the starting QB this year, since he injured the starting QB.”
Craig said, “You are talking about John Amaechi, right? The players didn’t even knew he was. No matter what, there will be people who are homophobes. Try to ignore them, they aren’t worth the time. The coach should know about them attacking people. They should be kicked off the team.”
Ben and Dan - at the same time - said, “That’s true!” Dan and Ben looked at each other and smiled.

Meanwhile, 5 boys -- members of the high school football team, were walking around America Freedom’s Plaza. AFP was an urban renewal development in downtown Narboro, but these 5 boys, as usual, were causing trouble. They just walked out of a sporting goods store with a expensive fishing rod and reel without paying.

The boys were hanging out, whistling and yelling insults at the girls, commenting on some people and talking about beating a student at their school, as they do at least once a week. The last boy they beat up was a junior who was on the high school soccer team, a sport they call for sissies. They then saw their next victim. “Ok, here comes another sissy. Easy,” David Ansquer, the team’s Quarterback said. “Oh looky, he is carrying some books.” He laughed.
Bill Serex, the team’s wide reciever , Bradley Tarleton, the team’s tackle, Juan deOlloqui, the team’s running back, and Baurice Brown, another running back of the school, looked at the boy and Juan said, “Too Easy. Wait, this is one of those fags in the fag club at school. Ready to kick him?”
Baurice, an Afro-American, said, “Jeez, this white boy is a honky. This is going to be nice whipping a white boy’s ass.”
Bill, looked at his friends, but thought, ‘Do you guys really need to do this? This is stupid.’ Bill shook his head, then looked at Bradley, then said, “Sorry, I won’t be doing that! I got to get going.”
Dave, looked at Bill then said, “Are you a fag lover Serex and Tarleton? You fucking fag lover shouldn’t been on the football team. You should be on the powder puff football team. Faggots.” He then looked at the others, and said, “Any other of you fucking fag lovers? Lets get this fag.”
The others agreed, so with the exception of Bill and Bradley, they started towards the boy. Bradley and Bill was too shocked to say anything.

The boy, Kris Crawford, walked alone with his thoughts. ‘I don’t know what to do?’ Kris was walking home from the library to read up on homosexuality. He wanted to tell his folks that he was gay, but also he was worried about his friend, 15 year old Trey Winchester.
As Kris walked home, he felt a punch to his side, and he fell. Then he was punched and kicked, while his attackers were laughing. “What a stupid fag,” he heard someone say.

Unbeknownst to Kris, Dominick Shelton, a member of the school’s football team, but also a member of the schools GSA club, saw the attack. “Hey,” he yelled, “Pick on someone your own size.” He ran to help the boy being attacked.
Dominick, the school’s starting middle linebacker, was out looking for his buddy, Garvan Ceitinn, who texted a message to Dom : ‘Sorry Dom’ it said, ‘2nite the nite.’ Dominick knew that Garvan would try to kill himself, but he needed to help break up the attack. ‘I should’ve know,’ he thought, ‘The assholes of the team are doing it.’ Dom saw Dave was going to kick the boy, so Dominick ran and grabbed Dave’s leg and said, “Pick on someone your size, assholes. Want me to break your leg?”
Dave said, “You wouldn’t, fag lover. If you did, who’d start at quarterback next year?”
Dom twisted the leg and said, “Dave, you got the job this year because you had Zack injured. Zack is the quarterback, loser.” Dom twisted the leg and said, “Better tell your friends to stop before your football career comes to an end.” When Dave didn’t say anything, Dom twisted Dave’s leg.
Dave, was in pain, so he said, “Ok, guys stop kicking the little fag there. This fucking fag lover wants to fuck the fag.”
Dom, threw Dave against the wall and said, “You are a fucking homophobe, Ansquer.” He looked at the other two still kicking - and punching - Kris. He grabbed deOlloqui by the shoulder and threw him down, “’Stop picking on someone smaller, asshole’ I said. I know you are stupid, but what part can’t you understand?” Dom said as he pushed Juan into the wall. “Ok, White, you want to join your friends?” Dom said, as he grabbed Baurice by the leg.
Baurice looked at Dom and said, “Shit man, this honky is just a little fag. He is on the sissy soccer team. He isn’t man enough to be on the FOOTBALL team.”
Dom twisted his leg, and said, “Asshole, sorry, but if you think you are a man because you can beat someone smaller then you, then you are an ASS. You better get the hell out of here. If I ever see you beat on anyone again. I’ll put you into the hospital. Do you understand me?” He twisted the leg, “answer me, Jackass!”
Baurice said, “Hey man, this isn’t your problem. You fucking FAG Lover.” Dom started to twist Baurice’s leg and Baurice felt a pain and said, “Ok. Sorry. I guess you want to fuck this fag.” Dom pushed him against the wall and said, “I could’ve broken your legs assholes, but if I did, you couldn’t get into college. You guys are so stupid the only way you could get into college would be by football. Now, get out of my life.”

Bill, who was away from the fighting, came up to Dom and said, “I should’ve helped the boy. I’m sorry.”
Dom said, “Serex, do me a favor. I want you at the GSA meeting tomorrow. If you come, I won’t tell coach about the fight that you were part of it. If you don’t coach will know. These three jerks -,” he pointed to Ansquer, deOlloqui and White, “are going to be in coach’s doghouse.”

Bill looked at the boy and then at Dom. Bill said, “Okay, I’ll go to the GSA club.” He took out his cell phone, flipped it open and called 911. “Hello,” Bill said, “There is a boy on the sidewalk in front of 350 WhiteOak Ave. It looks like he was beaten. “ He then shut off the phone and walked off. Dom saw that Bill was upset.
Dom looked at the boy - who was on the ground and said, “Hey, Kris? Are you okay?”
Kris, looked at Dom, then said, “You know my name? Jeez, I thought you’d let them kick me.” He tried to focus but he couldn’t since he can’t find his glasses and his eyes were puffed up.
Dom saw the glasses of Kris’ on the ground, but one lens was out. Dom said, “Here’s your glasses, Kris. The lens is out of the frame.” He looked at the boys and said, “Now, if you want to be arrested stay around. I’m letting you go, but if you get into a fight with another GSA member, I’m going to have you arrested.” He reached into his pocket and took out his cell phone. Dom dialed a number and said, “Uncle Steve? I need your help.” Dom smiled as he watched the boys run from the scene, leaving the fishing rod and reel behind.
In a few moment, Bradley came up to them and quietly said, “Kris, I’m sorry they did it to you. They should never pick on anyone -- especially you. You are a great soccer player.” Bradley walked away and sniffed. ‘it’s time to get home,’ he thought to himself.
Bradley walked to where Bill was, which was at the fountain, sat down and they both started crying. They finally came to a point in their young life. They looked at each other and hugged.

Tarja and Averill were in Tarja’s room. Averill said, “Nice room. You need some girly things around the room. It looks like a boy’s room. Come on, lets see how your dress fits.”
Tarja was afraid to change, but Averill said, “Tarja, I’m just like you - a boy.”
Tarja said, “You are?? You look so beautiful, Averill.” Tarja then started to change and soon - with help from Averill - saw the dress on her. She smiled and said, “Thank you!”
Averill said, “Tell my mom, Tarja. I think you are going to have boys around you.”
Tarja giggled and said, “I’m too young!” Tarja thought about it and said, “Do you?”
Averill said, “You aren’t too young. You are my age and girls mature faster then boys. Yes, I do have a boyfriend, his name is Faine Price. He is in the 5th grade. Anyway, lets show you off to our moms.” They left Tarja’s room and headed to the living room.

At the fountain, Bradley and Bill hugged each other as they cried. They knew that they should have stopped it, but they were chicken. Luckily Dom was there, but they knew they were gay.
Bill said, “We should’ve stopped them from attacking Kris. I know I’m going to the GSA meeting tomorrow after school. Dom told me that I wouldn’t be in trouble with the coach if I did. I’m going because I’m gay.”
Bradley said, “Me too. I’m going to be in there tomorrow.” He got up from the edge of the fountain and said, “I’m going to the JavaBit for a drink, then I am going home. See you at school.” He started to walk towards the coffee shop.

Kris and Dominick were sitting on the sidewalk, waiting for Dom’s Uncle Steve, when Bill came back to them. Bill looked at them, sat down on the sidewalk and said, “Sorry I didn’t do anything to help you.”
Dom looked at Bill and said, “Bill, this is Kris. Kris, this is Bill.”
Bill said, “Sorry, Kris. I shouldn’t have let them do that to you. I am a coward. I hope the GSA club will accept me.” Bill sniffed, so Dom knew Bill was crying.
Dom said, “They should. We have some straight members.” He looked at Bill and at Kris and wondered what he really meant by that.
Bill sniffed then said, “No, I am gay. After this, I knew I am gay, and Kris shouldn’t get hurt by them. I had to leave and I cried because Kris is a victim.” He sniffed then said, “I should tell coach that I was being a jerk. I know he’ll suspend me.”
Dom said, “I hope you can stay on the team. Kris, do you want Bill to be suspended?”
Kris looked at Dom and smiled. “No, he didn’t do anything wrong. I just want those three off the team. Bill, you are gay? Cool.” He looked at Bill and said, “I just hope - er, never mind. It would be a stupid idea.”
Bill said, “What? Lets hear what you want.” Bill looked at Kris and thought, ‘I would love you to be my boyfriend, but you don’t want a jock. You are special and you want someone special - and a jock is not special.’
Kris looked at Bill and smiled shyly. “Never mind,” he said, “It won’t happen.”
Dom looked at Kris and at Bill, then said, “Kris, what is the question? Bill won’t know unless you ask.”
Kris looked at Bill and said, “I wish you and I were friends and who knows, we might be lovers. I know it is stupid but I think you are handsome, Bill.”
Bill smiled and said, “Thanks, I was thinking that you wouldn’t want me, since I’m a jock. I love to watch you at soccer practice and seeing you in your uniform.” He looked at Kris, wondering if he should kiss him. “I think you are a caring boy, Kris.”

Meanwhile, at a coffee shop near the river, Trey was drinking a cold coffee based drink and typing on his notebook. He was chatting with his on-line friends in a chatroom, but he couldn’t find Kris.
Trey was messaging his buddies about his suicide tonight. He typed:
‘I just can’t stand it. I wish mom would let me be myself. It is a pain to TRY to being a boy, especially if your mom think you are, but you can’t do any major sports.’

One of his online friends, screen name ‘BluesLuver’, typed: ‘Don’t kill yourself. I thought about killing myself when I was 15, but I didn’t and later that year I met my lover. We been together for 7 years, now. Do you have a friend?‘
Another, screen name ‘EQ14’ typed: ‘Don’t do that!! Think about your friends and your family. My boyfriend’s brother killed himself and his parents are still upset that he didn’t come to them. Do your mom and dad know you are gay?’
Another, screen name ‘XyloPlayer’ typed: ‘Dooes your school have a GSA club?’ he paused then typed: ’Oops Does. I can’t spell.’
Trey typed: ‘Blues, no one will ever like me. I wish I could tell my best friend, but I’m chicken. He’ll hate me. EQ, it is just me and my younger brothers. And no, she doesn’t know I’m gay, really not sure if I am gay or if I’m a girl in a boys body. Weird isn’t it. Xylo, yes, my school does have a GSA club, my friend is in it. I should join it. What will happen if someone see me?’ Trey saw 4 new chatters in the chat room - ‘TrainFan16’, ’ZaneF’, ’SP14’ and ‘SunBoy13’, so Trey typed: ’Hi Train, Zane, SP and Sun.’ He continued to type: ‘Blues your folks know about your boyfriend? What does your friends say?’
‘Blues’ typed: Hi Train, Zane, SP and Sun. My mom and dad knows about my bf. Dad at first didn‘t like him, but dad can see that I‘m happy. When I first attempted my suicide, mom and dad kinda knew that I was gay. Mom and dad loves Robert as their son, too. Robert‘s mom wants to know if we are going to adopt. J We might! Thou it is fun trying J’
‘SP’ typed: Hi all, Don’t kill yourself. Don’t!!! That would be the worst thing to do.’
‘Blues’ typed: ‘Trey, I bet he‘ll love you. Don‘t ever s ay you don‘t have friends. Unfortunatly yopu might see who your friends are at a funeral, then it‘ll be too late. Trey, you might find a special person tonight. My friends know I’m gay, I have 3 friends who are boys and 4 friends who are girls.’
‘EQ’ typed: ‘Hi Train, Zane Sp and SunBoy. Trey, it isn’t weird. Some boys do like wearing girls clothes. Ever been to Big Closet?’
‘Train’ typed: ‘You talking about suicide? Don’t do it! My friend tried it and he is at ‘Huntington General’ now. He told me that he loves me, but I didn’t tell him that. I did it to him. I’m so stupid.’
‘Blues’ typed: ‘You didn’t. Do you love him, Train? You should visit him and tell him that you love him - if you do.’
Trey typed: ‘’Train, Huntington General’? You are in Narboro? EQ, the Big Closet? What’s that?’
‘Train’ typed: ‘Yes, I just hope he’ll be fine. I love him. I’m sorry that I didn’t tell him before. You think I should? Yes, I live in Narboro. You know the area? Trey, the Big Closet is cool. It has lots of nice stories. We - as teens aren’t supposed to be there, but I love to read about teen boys wearing cute dresses. The thing is that I am a TG. My mom knows I am.’

Trey typed: ‘Yes you should. Yes, I live in Narboro. I am at ‘JavaBit’, where are you? Wait I heard about the website, but never been there. Good stories there? I usually read Nifty.’
‘Blues’ typed: ‘Cool, JavaBit is a cool spot. I’m at ‘Mall Coffee’, since it’s near my home.’
‘Train’ typed: ‘That is near my house, I live at ‘Fire Cherry Meadows.’ You go to ‘JavaBit’ a lot, Trey?’
‘Sun’ typed: ‘You guys know each other? You are in the same town! Are all of you gay? I am?’
‘Xylo’ typed: ‘I am. My ‘rents knows I am. BTW, Sun, I like your handle. You a nudist?‘’
‘Sun’ typed: ‘Yes we are naturists. Xylo, you a Xylophone player?’

Dom, Bill and Kris were sitting on the sidewalk and Dom looked at the two boys. “Guys, I think you two could be wonderful. I was out trying to find my friend. He told me that he was going to kill himself. I wanted to find him.”
Bill and Kris looked at each other and they said, “I’ll help you look for your friend.” Bill then said, “Lets go. When was the last time you chatted with him, Dom?”
Kris said, “My friend was going to kill himself tonight. I need to find him, too.”
Dom was going to say something when, he saw his Uncle Steve walking up to them. Dom looked at him and said, “Hey, Uncle Steve! I hope you can fix Kris’ glasses. A group of jerks were attacking him, but I stopped it.”
Dom’s Uncle Steve, a gay man who is 34, looked at them, then thought, ‘Another victim of a hate crime.’ Steve looked at Dom and said, “What happened?” He then set down the carrying case.
Dom looked at Kris and said, “A bunch of football players decided to attack Kris here. I saw them attacking him, so I decided to end it. Kris is a member of the GSA at the school. Bill -” Dom looked at Bill, “is joining the GSA club.”
Uncle Steve said, “Nice to meet you, Kris and Bill. Lets see what we can do for your glasses.” Steve got the glasses from Dom and said, “It should be fine. It will be about 15 minutes.” He looked at the coffee shop near them and said, “Come on, lets have something to eat.” Uncle Steve picked up the carrying case and walked towards the coffee shop followed by Dom, Kris and Bill.

Averill and Tarja went to show their moms Tarja’s new dress. Tarja said thank you to her Aunt Marion and then Averill and Tarja started to play with Averill’s dolls and as they were - they were talking about boys, while Aunt Marion and MaryEllen laughed and MaryEllen said, “Boys. I was wondering what subject they’d be interested in.”
Averill and Tarja looked at each other and Averill said, “Dolls!! I got to get Tarja some dolls. Your room looks boyish!! You are not a boy!” She looked at Tarja and said, “Do you like any boys in your class?”
Tarja blushed and said, “There is one. His name is Ashton Williamson. He is cute. Do you?”
Averill blushed and said, “Yes, I do. Besides Faine, I like this boy named Rory O’Ryan. Faine and Rory are so cute!” They both started to giggle.
Marion and MaryEllen looked at their special girls and said, “From being a boy, to talking about boys. Typical girls.” They laughed.

When Dom’s group - including Uncle Steve - stepped into ‘JavaBit’, Uncle Steve saw his young friend was there. Bill saw that Bradley was sitting alone and Kris thought he saw Trey typing on his computer. They all sat at a booth and Uncle Steve said, “Get whatever you want. Kris, Your glasses will be good as new.”
Kris looked at the menu, so Bill said, “Let me get you a drink you might love, Kris. Do you like coffee?”
Kris said, “I never had coffee. Do they have chocolate based drinks?”
Bill said, “Yes. Let me get you a good drink.” He went to the counter and ordered the drinks, then want to where Bradley was sitting. “Brad, come over to where we are. You are welcome to sit with us.”
Bradley said, “Okay, are you sure? I mean, I should’ve helped Kris. I didn’t and he might hate me.”
“Kris isn’t mad, I am going to the GSA meeting tomorrow,” Bill said. “You should, too.”
Bradley said, “Kris isn’t? Are you sure?” Bradley was upset that he didn’t help Kris, but he needed to say that he was sorry. ‘I just hope they’ll be kicked off the team. We don’t need BULLIES on the team,’ Bradley thought. He got his drink and went to the table where they are sitting and said, “Kris, I’m sorry I didn’t help you. I wish I could make it up to you.”
Kris smiled at Bradley and thought, ‘Trey would love you. I just hope Trey isn’t dead. I need to find him - and let him meet Bradley. This would be nice.’ Kris looked at Bradley smiled at said, “Its okay, Brad. I think you know that you if wanted to protect me that you’d be labeled a ‘FAGLOVER’, but at least you didn’t attacked me.”
Bradley said, “I’m sorry, but I should have helped you. I’m not sure of your sexual orientation, but hell, I’m not sure of mine. I love guys, but --” Bradley sighed and said, “I want to be dressed up as a girl when I have sex. That is why I’m weird.”
Dom looked at Bradley and said, “You could be a girl trapped in a boys body, Bradley. What I mean is that you could be transgendered. You might love males because your mind thinks you are a female. You wouldn’t be the first GSA member to be a TG, Brad. I hope you’ll join.” He sighed at said, “I just hope I can find Garvan. He sent me a text message.”
Bradley said, “Garvan? I thought I saw him 45 minutes ago at ‘AllDay Fitness.’ Do you think I should tell the coach that I was involved with the attack?”
Dom said, “AllDay Fitness is where he is, Brad? I hope he is still there. Do you have a membership?”
Brad said, “Yes, I do. I like to use the pool there. Do you want to see if he is still there?”

At the Mileham’s, Averill and Tarja were playing with Averill’s dolls when MaryEllen said, “Honey, here are three more gifts.” She handed Tarja two smaller boxes to Tarja, while a big box was next to her. “I hope you like them.”
Tarja opened the smaller box and there was a doll, and then opened another, which was another doll, then opened the big box - which was a Victorian style dollhouse.
Tarja said, “Thank you, mommy.”

Meanwhile, at the ‘Triple Pines Motel’, a man said to himself, ‘No one will ever accept that. I’m going to kill them. Especially the freak! If I can’t have my family, no one will.

At the ‘Triple Pines Motel’, an old Howard Johnsons motel that charges weekly and daily rates, the man looked at a picture of his family. The picture of his family — his wife, 3 sons and a daughter along with himself — were a classic American family; brown hair green eyes and they look happy. He ripped up the picture and threw it on the floor. ‘If I can’t have them, nobody will. Nobody, especially that quack of a doctor, will change my daughter into a boy. I’ll kill the quack if I have to. America will be better off without that quack bitch,’ he thought to himself. He reached under the bed, and pulled out a suitcase and opened it. Inside was a AK-47 that he pulled out and looked at it. He smiled and thought to himself, ‘ My ex and that stupid quack bitch will be dead soon,’ he thought.

At the ‘Java Bit’, Uncle Steve fixed Kris’ glasses, handed them to him and said, “Here Kris. They should be a nice fit now. “
Kris put them on his head and said, “Thank you, sir. I hope I can find my friend now.” He looked around and saw Trey sitting alone at a table with his laptop.
Kris smiled and said, “I see the person I’m looking for. I got an IM from him saying that he was going to kill himself tonight. Brad, want to meet a friend of mine?”
Brad said, “Ok. Who is it?” Brad got up from the table and followed Kris to where Trey was sitting, then Kris introduced Brad and Trey. Then Kris said, “What’s wrong, Trey? Why not join us at our table” He pointed to their table. “I was looking for you all night, Trey. I was worried about you when you IMed me. I didn’t want you to kill yourself, buddy.”
Trey looked at Kris and Brad and then said, “Hi Brad. I’ve seen you at school. You are nice, Brad. You want to be friends? You are nice, Brad. Kris, I was depressed when I wrote you. I got cheered up while I was online. I had a fight with mom tonight.”
Brad said, “Trey, I’ve seen you around at school, too. You are nice, too. I hope we can be friends and who knows. Do you go to the GSA club at school? I’m going tomorrow.”
Trey signed of the net as he typed: ‘Bye all. My friends are here. You helped me out and so will they. TTYL.’ He closed the laptop and they walked over to their table.

At the Mileham’s, Averill and Tarja were playing with Tarja’s new dollhouse in Tarja’s bedroom. They were checking the baby, when Mary Ellen came up to the room and said, “Girl’s time to eat. You can play with your dolls after dinner.”
Averill and Tarja stopped playing and went with Mary Ellen to the kitchen. As they were walking down to the kitchen, Averill asked, “May I call you Aunt Mary Ellen?”
Mary Ellen smiled and said, “Yes, young lady, you may. You are so beautiful, Averill.”
Averill said, “Mom said that you are nice, Aunt Mary Ellen. Tarja, you want a sleepover and a pool party?”
Tarja said, “Mom, could I go? Please?”
Mary Ellen smiled, kissed them and said, “We will have to get you a bikini for the beach. Marion was talking about it.”
Averill said, “You’ll love the people at the pool party. Most of them are clients of mom’s. I’m going to ask mom if I can go on and tell my friends about my new cousin.”
Tarja said, “Thanks for inviting me, Averill. I hope we’ll be great cousins.”
Marion, who heard them talking about the pool party and the sleepover, smiled at them and said, “You two will be great cousins. Honey, you can go online and tell them about your cousin. Check the site to see if anyone else signed up. Mary Ellen, it smells delicious.“
They all sat at the table and started to eat and talk, with Craig, Ben, Dan and Neal listening to Marion's stories of growing up with MaryEllen.

Averill typed, ‘Yes, she is just like us.’ She saw 3 more chatters coming into the room - Randall12, Max10 and JasonSunshine12, so she typed, ‘She is like MOST of us. Hi there, Rand, Max and Jason, you going to the pool party?’

Jason typed, ‘Yes, Averill. Mom got me a binder, so I guess I’ll have to wear a t-shirt. Why would any of you want to be a girl?’

Randall typed, ‘I know, I wish I was born a boy. You boys got it much better. Why would anyone want to be a girl?’

While Averill and Tarja were upstairs on the computers, MaryEllen, Marion and Craig were in the living room talking about Averill and Tarja and about MaryEllen growing up with Mark. They were drinking coffee while Craig got to know MaryEllen.

Marion said, “I just hope the family will get together, MaryEllen. Of course, as one of my professionals in Massachusetts said. She said that family is about love and not about blood. She wrote an article about the town of Winnisimett and the people who reallys around transkids. I believe the Soggertick Valley will accept transkids, too.” Marion was talking about the area where Norboro, Kettuck and surround towns are located 45 miles southeast of Hartford, Connecticut.

Marion took a sip of her coffee, then continued to say, “I’m taking a partner on. Her office was set on fire, but Dr. Salwasser is great. We both have clients in the area and he are going to have two more partners. We both want to cut our hours, because she wants to travel more and I want to raise Neal and adopt 3 kids.”

MaryEllen said, “That’s nice. I wanted to adopt, but John was against it, because he would NEVER be his. Why did I think he was the best when I married him.” MaryEllen looked at Craig and said, “Adoption is so nice. You are very special, Craig. Your kids - especially Averill is so nice. Craig laughed and said, “She is all girl, MaryEllen. I know what you mean and Marion is making me happy. Averill is out of her shell, she loves sports, but I can see Marion is helping her and Neal and Ben, also. Yes, I knew she wants to be a mom. As a lawyer, I helped incorporate 3 bio-technology companies which are researching uterus and testes from stem cells. Connecticut Polytech University, along with Yale and UConn are trying to get Connecticut into Bio-Tech Valley. You should adopt, MaryEllen. I can see you are a great mom. Tarja is very beautiful.”

Marion said, “I hope I can be a bio-mom soon. Narboro Memorial is trying to do a uterus transplant soon. I hope I’m going to get selected.”

Dan said, “We, my friends and I skinnydip at Bluestone Falls. It is more private. The park’s ponds are really nice. All of them are.”

Ben said, “Bluestone Falls is good, but ever swam at Whitestone Falls?

Dan said, “Yes, we swim there, too. I am going to ask her if she would. Ilove my aunt and I think you, Averill and Neal will be great cousins.”

Ben said, “Neal is a great little brother. I know Marion and dad would like to have a little brother or sister for Neal.”

Dan said, “Are you going to adopt? I heard that someone started a biotech company to make body parts out of stem cells. If my friend, Karla,becomes a girl, I wouldn’t mind marrying her. She would love to be a mom.”

Ben said, “Dad just told me that he, with the help of Madenford Capital Financial, organized a few stem cell research companies. Marion said that Narboro Memorial Hospital is going to do some uterus transplants. She would love to be selected to be one of them.”

At ‘JavaBit’, Dom’s group along with Uncle Steve, were talking while enjoying some drinks, but Brad and Dom decided to see if Garvan is still at ‘AllDay Fitness’, so Brad and Dom decided to leave, so soon, they all left ‘JavaBit’, with Uncle Steve saying, “It was nice to meet you, all.”

Dom said, “Thank you for fixing Kris’ glasses, Uncle Steve. Trey, I hope you and your mom would talk some more. Try to get your mom to go to that meeting.”

Trey said, “I just hope mom has calmed down now. I am going to tell her that she should try the PFLAG meeting at the Yelovich Community Center. Thank you, Mr. Romesberg. Brad, could I go with you to ‘AllDay Fitness’?”

Brad looked at Dom and said, “Do you mind if my boyfriend to be comes with us?” Dom didn’t mind, so Brad said, “Trey, you can go with us.” He looked at Kris and said, “Thanks Kris. I’ll take care of Trey.”

Kris said, “Thank you again, Mr. Romesberg, for fixing my glasses. Brad, you and Trey are going to be happy. Take care of each other, Trey and Brad.” He looked at Bill and said, “If you don’t have anything to do, Bill, want to go to my house?”
Bill smiled and thought to himself, ‘Kris is somebody special. I am going to protect him.’ He said, “Sure, I don’t have anything to do.”

Mr. Romesberg, said, “Dom, as I tell your mom, you are special. Trey and Brad and Kris and Bill, if you need to talk to someone, call ‘Gay Youth Minamuck’ or ‘Mettawee Regional Youth Helpers’. They’ll help all problems.”

Brad, Trey and Dom walked the 8 blocks to ‘AllDay Fitness’, which was a remodeled former ‘Thrifty Yankee Supermarkets’, now a health club with pool, which is open 24/7. The shopping center where it is also have a 24/7 health food restaurant and a fitness equipment store that was closed for the day, along with a few empty spaces.

Dom and Trey followed Brad into the club. Brad showed his membership card to the person at the desk. They were introduced to Eli, the person at the desk, then they went to the family area/ youth area of the club.

Dom and Trey followed Brad through the doors and down the hall to the locker room. Brad told them about the club. They saw the big pool where some families were swimming, along with a smaller pool that is closed, along with two locker rooms.

Dom said, “What is wrong with that pool? Why is that pool close?” He looked around, and said, “Nice club. How did you become a member?”

Brad said, “The club has a youth membership pricing. My mom knows that I like to swim, so she gave me youth membership to it. The pool is being remodeled. The club is expanding with a few new athletic courts, such as four new arenas, including for ice hockey. Here is the plans for the new parts.” He pointed to the plans that is displayed on a wall.

Dom and Trey saw the club, which opened 7 years ago, had plans for a 36,000 square foot addition, which includes tennis courts, 6 new locker rooms, 4 sport arenas, indoor playground, nursery, handball courts, an olympic sized pool, an endless pool, and cafe along with 5 baseball fields, 5 softball field, a football field, a soccer field, lacrosse field and team handball field outside.

Trey said, “Wow, this center is going to be nice. When will they do the groundbreaking on it? Why 6 locker rooms, thou?” Dom said the same thing.

Brad said, “Some of the locker room will be adults only, some will be youth only and some will be for families. This area will be remodeled after the expansion is finished. This area will be nice from what Eli said. It will be for transkids.”

Dom said, “Nice. They are inviting transkids to the gym? Who owns it? Don’t they think the members who are bigots will leave if transkids have a place?”

Brad looked at Dom and said, “It is owned by Nutmeg Yankee Family Healthcare. 6 are well known people. Do you know Travis Easley, Mike Shanebrook, Weston Shirling, Zack Shirkey, Lance Shirley and Todd Boyanton?”

Dom said, “Travis Easley? You aren’t talking about the Sox outfielder, are you? Shanebrook? You don’t mean the hockey player for the Panthers? Zack Shirkey? There’s a football player at UConn with that name. I don’t know the others.”

Trey said, “Todd Boyanton? The chef?” He looked at Brad and Dom, then said, “He co-owns it?”

Brad stopped and said, “Travis is the Sox fielder and Mike is the Panthers player. Zack Shirkey at UConn is not the one, but his dad is. They are the owner of NYFH, Inc. Weston is the football coach of Fairford High and another partner. Yes, my love, Todd is another owner and he does the snacks here. He is going to operate the cafe here along with helping kids learn to cook healthy. Some of the others owners are bodybuilders, MMA fighters, lacrosse player and non athletes, too.” Brad came to the door of the locker room and said, “Here’s the locker room.”

Brad, Trey and Dom went into the locker room and walk through into the gym area. They looked around and they saw on an exercise bike was Garvan, so they came up to him. Garvan looked at them and smiled, he then said, “Hi guys. I guess you were worried about me. Sorry. My mom and I had a fight, but it wasn’t about me. It was about my younger brother.” Gaven wiped his forehead, then said, “My mom was yelling at Paxton, because he forgot to wear protection at school. I remember I wanted to be normal when I was 9 instead of diapers.”

Marion said, “MaryEllen, I’m sorry. This is an emergency. Ryan’s dad been threatening him and his mom for awhile. Did you talk to him to see where his dad is?”

Averill said, “Sorry, I didn’t. Ryan had it in all caps, so I decided to tell you. Ryan usually don’t do all caps, unless he is upset or worried, as you know.”

Marion said, “Ryan’s mom divorced his dad almost 2 years ago, when Ryan became a boy. His mom supported him, however his dad became unhinged. His mom got a restraining order against him, but he is still threatening Ryan and his family. See if Ryan knows where he is. I would say he is at one of those motels on the Narboro-Kettuck Turnpike or on Charter Oak Highway.” Marion looked at Craig and said, “Love, get ready to call the police. I think he needs to be arrested before he kills someone.”

MaryEllen looked at them and said, “Anything I can do? I bet John is going to do something. Are there organised group that Ryan’s dad is part of? If there is, I think John’ll join it.”

Craig said, “There are a group that is around. Two months ago, it was hit with arrests, but it is underground, so there are more people involved. These people are unhinged. I would - if you do believe you are in trouble - to move and change your name.”

MaryEllen said, “We are thinking of moving. I never thought of changing our name, thou. I’d have to change Tarja’s birth certificate to girl. I wonder if they would like to be Schvaneveldt for our mom’s maiden name, Marion.”

Craig said, “If you want legal advice, I’ll put you in contract with my friend, who is helping us with Averill’s new birth certificate. Mike Screeton is great and he helps parents with transkids. The person on the other end, an undercover cop, hung up and smiled. ‘Got you and your hateful group,’ he thought to himself. He called his boss to tell them they are ready to get them.

At the Kettuck Police Station, Chief Ben Scrimshire sat in a chair at a table, along with the chiefs from Narboro; Chief James Borwick, Fairford; Jane Demaranville and Hanboro; Rick Traxinger, listening to the Connecticut State Police officer; Lieutenant Colonel Steve Hinkhouse.

Lt. Colonel Hinkhouse said, ‘We know that a few are residing at the ‘Triple Pines’, a few are at ‘Oakfield Motor Lodge’, and some are at ‘Playhouse Ranch’. Another group of them are watched in the Hartford area. We had some people undercover and they told us they are dangerous. We have to surprise them, before someone gets killed. We are waiting for the go ahead.”

Chief Traxinger said, “We need to get those morons off the streets. My nephew, middle son and my niece are transkids. I heard that they are going to kill Drs. Salwasser, Wilson, Hulburt, Jayson and Sossamon. Their crime, helping transkid be themselves.” He looked around and said, “What I also heard is they will bomb the MCC church and two other gay and trans friendly churches, too.”

Chief Demaranville said, “We can’t have people that these assholes - excuse my French - telling people what is right. We just can’t let them kill people because they are helping people. Mayor Charnley are trying to get ‘Playhouse Ranch’, ‘Turnpike Inn’, ‘Towngate’ and ‘ValueNight’ properties through eminent domain. Those are the biggest problems in Fairford. Drug sales, Rapes and prostitution are going on there -- along with the town’s last 7 homicides.”

Chief Scrimshire said, “Very true, Rick. A few months ago, we had a riot at Henwood when a boy who is becoming a girl enrolled. With SCR, Petowtuck, Connecticut Biomed Industries, Doctor Healthcare Research in the area, we should lead the way in trans-issues. We shouldn’t worry about whether people are girls who were born boys or boys who were born girls.”

Chief Demaranville said, “We had to arrest 3 students at Fairford High because of bullying yesterday.”

Lt. Colonel Hinkhouse said, “We know these people hates gays and transgender people. They have cells in Massachusetts, but with the help of Winnisimmet Police and the State Police, they should be broken up tomorrow, Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire and New York. They are associated with the Eastboro Baptist Church nutjobs. They also have a gun running operation in Texas, Florida and Arizona.”

He got a phone call from the undercover cop and smiled. “I should’ve known. D & T Bar. When? Okay, get there, and we’ll there soon.” He shut the phone off, then said, “Time for some fun. Let’s break up this nutty group. Some of the people will be in jail for decades if not life. Ready? Are your people ready?

Chief Demaranville said, “My units are ready. Besides the motels, we have 2 abandoned buildings that are used as hideouts we have 6 homes and we might uncover a cold case, too.” The others are ready, so they are raiding the places as soon as they call the task force.

The officer went to the car and put an APB out on the guy, but knew that the person might be part of the group they are going to bust. The officer, Thomas J. Wendland, thought to himself, ‘Just because a male wants to be a female, some sick people have to play GOD. My brother is gay, who cares? He loves his husband and their kids.’ He saw another officer and turned to the other officer and said, “Another online threat, but I believe it is that nutjob who hates gays, trans and his life, Marcus.”

Marcus Broomfield, one of 6 blacks on the Narboro police force, laughed and said, “Nutjob is right. Do you think it is the same guy who threaten -- and killed -- Henry Korth? I just heard the FBI just raided the Eastboro Baptist regional office. The noose is tightening.”

Thomas said, “I think he did that along the murders of Josh and Jeremy Wagner, Yancy Hills and Robert Warren -- and even we don’t have a body -- of Ian Duncan and Evan Wilson. They went to MaryEllen’s door and knocked, then they both told Marion, MaryEllen and Craig sorry about the interruption, then they got into their cars and drove off.

Three unmarked police cars pulled into the parking lot of the ‘Triple Pines’. The officers came out of the cars and went to the office. The manager was arrested, then they hit the rooms where they knew criminals were.

In his room, he stepped out of the shower and started putting on his boxers. He heard a knock on his door, so his looked at his AK-47. He was going to grab it, when 2 officers broke the door down and sent in a smoke bomb. Soon, he was arrested along with 14 other people at the ‘Triple Pines’

The task force arrested 28 people, besides the 15 at the ‘TriplePines’. In the Hartford area, they arrested 39 people and they found notes about the killing ‘immoral people who supporting queers and freaks’ and notes on 5 missing persons - 3 teens, a
Pediatric endocrinologist and a big brother volunteer. The notes supposes the theory that those 5 are dead.

The head of the task force in the state, Corporal Jason Waddington, saw the list of people arrested -- 95 people, including 40 for either murder or attempted murder. He shook his head and thought to himself, ‘Morons, all of them. Just because people are different then others, you shouldn’t hate them.” He picked up his phone and dialed a name on the list.

Jason waited on the phone, but the phone went to voice mail so he said, “Honey, it is finally broken. I hope to see you, soon. Love you. Call me later, honey.”

At the Mileham’s, after the two officers left, Averill and Tarja went back to the computer. Tarja was a bit shaken up, so Averill said, “Don’t worry, cousin, there are some idiots who will hate us. Some think we are being abused or our mom are forcing us be girls instead of boys. I hope Ryan will be OK.”

Tarja said, “I didn’t want people to know, yet. I mean, when you first came out, how did your school react to it? What about friends, did they call you names?” They sat at the computer desk and Averill got back online.

Averill said, “Before I was shy and I didn’t have any friends. I never had any friends who are boys because I hated sports. No, not hated, but I was a klutz at baseball. Dad didn’t push me in baseball, but I thought dad would be proud of me. The more I practice, the worse I was getting. I got hit in the head, so dad took me to the hospital. I was upset, so a doctor asked me some questions.”

Tarja said, “Was it Marion?”

Averill said, “No, it wasn’t Marion. We didn’t live here at the time. Dad worked at a big attorney firm in Hartford, but when we got the results that I’m a girl, dad wanted to move and work for us - Ben, Neal and me. Also, we didn’t want to stay in the Hartford area. Our mom’s death had a impact on moving.”

Tarja wanted to know a bit about her mom, but didn’t say anything.

Downstairs, Craig, Marion and MaryEllen, talked about their kids, especially Averill and Tarja. They were talking about being bio-moms, when Craig’s phone beeped. Craig looked at it, smiled and said, “That was fast.”

Marion looked at Craig and said, “Dear, what is?”

Craig said, “I guess when the police were here, some others were raiding the Eastboro Baptist nutjobs.”

MaryEllen said, “Eastboro Baptist? Aren’t they those nutjobs who think that GOD hate gays, America and others? Those people are nuts.”

Craig said, “Yes. According the article the FBI and local police raided their office this afternoon arresting 5 people. Also the FBI are helping local police departments with Eastboro’s illegal activities. Good. Those people are nuts.”

MaryEllen and Marion laughed and they both said, “Nuts.” MaryEllen then said, “Morons and idiots more likely. They aren’t Christians in my opinion.”

In another house, 16 miles away, Rylie ‘Ryan’ Iversen was with her mom, sisters and brothers. They were sitting on the sofa and talked. Susan Iversen looked at her kids and said, “Kids, I decided to throw your dad out. Ryan, you know I am fully supportive of you. I decided to take the next step and tell the police about illegal activities of your dad. I’m going to divorce your dad. You all deserve better.”

Trey Iversen looked at mom then at Ryan and said, “Ryan, I might make fun of you, but like mom, I support you. We all do. Yes, mom, you should have thrown him out a year ago, because he is a jerk. I told you that he was doing something illegal.” He looked at his mom and said, “Sorry. When he hit Ryan 7 months ago, that is when I wanted to kill him.”

Madison Iversen looked at her brother and said, “Mom, you can do better than being with dad. I knew Ryan is unhappy as a girl and it wasn’t just a tomboy thing with Ryan. Ryan is a boy. You know that day Ryan ruin the Easter dress? That was when I knew she was a he.”

Susan thought about day and smiled. She was going to say something, however the phone rang. It was a police officer, Sargant Eric Brayton, who called and said, “Your husband was arrested in a raid. He is charged with gun violations, drug violations, child porn, attempted murder and accessory to 2 murders. They might be more charges pending. Ms. Iversen, you should be safe now, however we will still guard your house.”

Susan smiled and said, “Thank you, Officer Brayton. I’m going to tell my kids that he won’t be bothering us anymore. I guess he’ll die in jail.”

Eric Brayton said, “I hope so, ma’am. Those people should rot in prison. My neice was my nephew, so I know that kids who are transgendered are bullied and they commit the most suicide, too. When I saw the hit list, I felt sick. Even the governor of Massachusetts is on it. Those people are nutjobs.”

At ‘AllDay Fitness,’ Garvan stayed on his exercise bike, so Brad, Trey and Dom decided to use the bikes. Garvan said, “If you guys want to, I was going to swim some laps. Want to join me?”

Dom said, “I’m not a member, but can I use it? Of course, I don’t have a suit with me.”

Trey said, “I would swim. I love swimming, but I don’t have mine either. I guess skinnydipping is not allowed here.”

Brad laughed and said, “No, but I wouldn’t mind you nude. I know where we could skinnydip. I have a suit for you, Trey.”

Dom said, “Do you have a suit for me? Either one of you.”

Garvan said, “I do have a suit for you, Dom. I hope you’ll like it. It is a swim diaper, which is brand new.” Garvan sighed and said, “You know I need diapers, so even when I swim.”

Dom said, “I know that, Garvan. I know some of the GSA members are teen babies, but I wonder what diapers feels like.”

Garvan said, “I like diapers, but as you know I get kidded at school because of it. Paxton needs them, too and he is depressed. I’m trying to tell Pax he needs them and don’t worry what friends will say. Want to try the swim diapers, Dom?”

In Narboro, David Ansquer, Juan deOllqui and Baurice Brown, after Dom gave them a whipping, went to their ‘clubhouse’, an abandoned building. The building, which was the old Narboro Rubber factory, was where they - along with others - smoke weed, take drugs, have sex and other illegal activities.

“I knew those fag lovers - Bill and Bradley - won’t be friends. They have to be good for their mommy and daddy. Next season, we should take them out for the season.”

Juan said, “I am going to get LaMarr Washington to break Dominick’s leg in practice. He thinks he is better than us. He is a fag and we should tell the coach no fags on the team.
I think he’ll agree.” He lit a joint and said, “Time for fags to be off the team, we need real guys. Maybe the coach will let us have hos.”

Baurice said, “We need to get all the FAGS and fag lovers off the team. What those fags need is some hos. We should have some hos later.”

David looked at them and said, “You know who’s easy? Bethany Washbrook. I wouldn’t mind having her.” He shook his head and thought to himself, ‘Why am I doing this? Just because my mom died, dad shouldn’t be worried about me. I should be helping my brothers and sisters, not with these guys. I might get into trouble if I hang with them. I mean stealing a fishing pole.’

Baurice took a drag on the join and handed it to Juan. Jaun took a hit and handed it to Baurice. Juan opened up a bottle of whiskey and took a swig, then handed it to Dave. Dave hated alcohol and drugs, so he toop a sip and handed the bottle to Juan, then spit out the whiskey. Dave decided to leave and said, “See you guys later. I’m going to find a girl for the night.” Dave thought, ‘Really, I’m going home and help my dad with my brothers and sisters. Why am I hanging with them - stealing a fishing pole and beating up on Kris? I got to be better.’

Baurice and Juan saw Dave leave, but they didn’t care. They finished the whiskey, then started on Boone’s Farm.

Dave, as he walked home, thought about the last 3 years, since her mom died. His mom died of breast cancer at 36, so he should help his dad with his brothers - who are 11, 7 and twins 4 and sisters 12, and 9. He kicked a rock and thought, ‘Dad, sorry. I need to grow up and be better in school and with my family.’

Dave got home, a modest 4 bedroom 3 and a half bath bi-level and went to his room and cried on his bed.

Tarja 13 -

At the Ansquer’s house, David was on his unmade bed crying. He sniffed, sighed and thought to himself, ‘I should do better. Just because mom died, I should be helping dad. I’m going to be in trouble, if I hangout with them. Why did I become friends with them?’ He then looked at a picture - taken last summer - on a lake in Maine. He thought back to that 10 days. ‘I couldn’t believe they invited me. It seemed they thought I was a resident instead of being a visitor,’ he thought to himself. ‘I can’t believe some were just in diapers.’

He sniffed, balled his hands and hit his bed, then thought, ‘Just because they are on the football team. Is that why I hang out with those jerks? I mean, think about some of the other people on the team, like Dominick, Jordy, Linus, Jason and Tobin, they are open about being friends of gays. Why shouldn’t I? I need to help dad, but he hates me.’ He was thinking about teammates who are in the school’s GSA club. He then thought about 2 of his ex friends at school they drifted apart a year and a half ago, when David started hanging with the group. ‘I wonder if they would welcome me back,’ he thought. ‘I know I’ve been a jerk the last 18 months, but I hope they’ll forgive me.’

David sighed, got off his bed and went to his closet. He got on his knees and looked in the closet, then pulled out a box, opened it and looked inside. He said, “Mom, I’m sorry. I have to do better. I miss, you and so do we all. I have to be better and help dad, but he hates me.’ He closed the box, and placed it on a shelf and sighed. He got up and went to his desk, moved his laptop out of the way, and opened a drawer. He took out 3 sheets of paper and started to write a letter to his dad.

At the Mileham’s, Craig, Marion and Mary Ellen were talking about the hateful Eastboro Baptist raid,’ when Mary Ellen’s phone rang. She said, “Excuse me. I’ll be back in a few.” She went and pick up the phone. On the other end it was John to ask her to hire him an attorney and to say that he is sorry of the way he reacted to Tommy. John told her that he is in the Kettuck Police Station. Mary Ellen said that she’ll get an attorney, but she has guests over and she’ll do it tomorrow. She said, ‘John, you need to get help and you need to see your daughter.” John knew that Mark - and Marion - was over for dinner, so he understood. Mary Ellen then hung up the phone.

Marion, who saw Mary Ellen was trying to keep her composure, said, “Sis, what’s wrong? Is it bad news?”

Mary Ellen said, “Yes, it is bad news. John got arrested and is at the Kettuck Police Station. He wanted me to find an attorney for him. He changed and I wish he’d stayed like he was when I first met him.”

Marion looked at Craig and said, “Do you want us to go? John did change and really mostly it was just about a year ago. Honey, do you think your partner could help John?”

Craig said, “I think so, love. Mary Ellen. Do you know why he was arrested for?”

Mary Ellen said, “No, I don’t. Would it matter?”

Craig said, “Not really, but it would be nice to know, so we can see why he was. Do you still like him, Mary Ellen?”

Marion looked at her boyfriend and smiled. She then looked at her sister and said, “Spoken like a lawyer. Do you? I knew you been with him since you were a junior in high school.”

Mary Ellen said, “I want Tarja to be happy, but throwing away my marriage is something, else. I want him to get help. I don’t want to divorce him I want him to know he needs to be the loving guy he was.”

At the Kettuck Police Station, John Mileham hung up the phone and went back to his cell. There, he sat on his bunk and sighed. He thought about growing up with an abusive dad, who, when sober was vengeful, but when he was drunk he was a monster. He hit him, his brother and sisters and his mom.

He shook his head and thought to himself, “Dad, I hope you are rotting in hell. You made me hate my family. We were never good for you, and now, I’m doing the same thing to my family and I love them. Yes, Tommy, I love you.’

Thinking back to his childhood, He remembered when his dad hit him for striking out in little league with the winning run on third. He remembered him hitting his brother when he had gotten a penalty in a high school football game and his sisters for burning a cake. He remembered when he hit his mom for overspending on school clothes.

When John was 13, his dad, driving drunk, killed his youngest brother, Thomas, himself and an innocent family. It was just him, his mom, his older brother and his 2 sisters. ‘I hate you dad!’ He said to himself.

In Narboro, Adam Ansquer looked around the office and sighed. He thought he was alone, since the meeting was over 45 minutes ago. He sat in his chair at his desk and looked at the pictures on his desk, especially the recent one of his son, David, waterskiing this past summer at Togue Lake.
Looking at the picture, he sighed at thought, ‘I guess you think I hate you, son. I don’t it wasn’t your fault. I loved your mom and I love you, Luke, Steve, Taylor and Brooke. I just hope I’m doing right.’ He heard a knock on the door it was the Vice president of Nutmeg Industries, Beth Calderwood, knocking.

Beth, smiled at him when he looked up, then said, “I thought you would be out. Something wrong, Adam?” She came into his office and smiled at him.

Adam looked up and said, “Yes, David and I yelled at each other last night. I hope he’ll be home. Ever since Susan’s death, David is unhappy and he is going to get into trouble. I hope I’m doing the right thing. I mean, voting to sell the company that I help start.” He sighed and then said, “Why are you voting to sell? You help start this company, too.”

Beth laughed and said, “The joys of raising teens. I’m not looking forward to the day, when mine will be teens. All I can say, Adam is to just do your best. What are you going to do after the sale? Why did I vote to sell? I think it will help the company with the backing of Atlantic Yankee behind it. AY said they’ll expand here.”

Adam laughed and said, “I guess so. Don’t worry about your kids, Beth. You do a great job with yours. After the sale, I’m not sure yet how about you?”

Beth said, “I might stay home and drive my kids crazy. I might start a bakery, which is my dream. Steve said he’ll loan me the money. He saw my business plan and said that I have a great business plan.” She was talking about her brother, who was an officer at Maidenford Capital. She looked at Adam and said, “Do you think your kids would like to go to ‘Riplash Cove’ with us this weekend?”

Adam looked at Beth, smiled and said, “Thanks. I’ll think about it. I guess David wouldn’t want to go, but the other kids would love it.” He was thinking about a few weeks back when they went out to lunch, but the company rule was against dating co-workers. “I guess after the sale, we can date.” He looked at Beth.

Beth smiled and said, “I never did like the rule about co-workers dating. It was never enforced until the Bahnmiller incident. After that breakup and fight, it was enforced. Bahnmiller was an idiot. Of course, I did tell him he was.” Beth was talking about William Bahnmiller, a married man who was having an affair with Christine Bullough, Beth’s secretary. Beth shook her head and said, “I told Christine he was bad news.”

Adam looked at Beth and said, “Really, he said that they loved each other, but I told Bahnmiller that he had a wife and kids. He didn’t care if it was hurting his family. Of course, we had to fire him and then Christine left. I guess she didn’t want to be humiliated.” He put down some papers he was reading and then said, “Want to go to Sylvester’s for dinner?”

Beth said, “Is it a date? I love Sylvester’s.” She gave Adam a hug then picked up a picture of Adam and his family - taken last summer at Togue Lake. “I think you are a great dad. Where was that taken? It looks nice.”

Adam said, “It was taken at a lake in Maine last summer. We spent two weeks up there and we had fun. Dave was happy and we chatted. It seemed that he was a different person there. I guess he wasn’t around his friends when we were there. Dave met a few of the locals up there and they included him in activities. We might go up there for 2 weeks this summer.” Adam looked at Beth and said, “Would you like it to be a date? I’m ready to enjoy you.”

Beth said, “Maine? I might take the kids there. How was it? Did the kids get bored if there was bad weather? I’m ready, Adam. Are you?”

Adam said, “One day it was raining, so the kids spent the day with their friends at the clubhouse. The home we rented was nice. I should see if the house is free for 2 weeks this summer. The lake had 5 clubhouses.” Adam smiled at her and said, “I’m ready.”
They left Adam’s office and walked to Sylvester’s for dinner.

In the Narboro Forest neighborhood, a modest development built in the 2000s, Dennis and Julia Paxson were relaxing after dinner. Their kids, 3 boys and 2 girls, were doing homework, while they were watching the local news channel. The channel had a breaking report and it was about the raid and the arrest. They were interviewing Lt Colonial Hinkhouse and they talked about a few of the people arrested.
Julia shook her head and said, “What’s wrong with these people? They are nuttier than a peanut farm. If people are transgendered, so be it. They are who they are so get over it. They aren’t doing anything illegal.”

Dennis looked at his wife and said, “Mileham? Isn’t your sister married to a Mileham?”
