Yesterday
By Julie D. Cole
[thanks to the Beatles]

Yesterday,
My new life had seemed so far away,
Now I’m glad that it is here to stay,
Oh, how I worried - Yesterday.

Suddenly,
I'm not the man, I used to be,
Now there's just his shadow hanging over me,
Oh, yesterday he went suddenly.

Why he
Had to go I don't know, I couldn't say.
he did,
Nothing wrong, but that was yesterday.

Yesterday,
my life was not an easy game to play,
I always needed a place to hide away,
Oh, how sad I was, but that was yesterday.

Why he
Had to go I don't know, I couldn't say.
He did,
Nothing wrong, but that was yesterday.

Yesterday,
My life was not an easy game to play,
Now I don’t need a place to hide away,
I’m glad I changed,
Goodbye yesterday.
