It was October 28th, I realised I had no costume for the halloween party this weekend.
Man where I am going to find a costume at with no time left to get them. Oh, I forgot to mention, My name is Sam Weston and I am 12 year old male in the town of Boston, New Massachutes.
So I go up to my room, I live at home with my Mum and Older Sister, Dad had died when I was born, my sister was 7 years older than me. So when mum had to work, when my sister was old enough she babysat me, cheap labour I suppose. But those days I treasured most, my sister often dressed me up as a her little sister when she was younger.
Well when I was old enough I told her that I liked to be dressed up, she then asked me that would I continue. I said yes, so then we continued and I began to build up a female version of myself. I had always been underdeveloped, even now I have not entered puberty but it is not a problem yet as puberty for me tends to have wide area of normality and i would not have to worry till I turn 15.
My sister encouraged me to have a female name for myself, so I decided on Dawn. The reason for this is that I brought light into my family, but I was scared that I would never be able to show myself for who I truely am. My sister got around the problem of getting clothes for me, by getting them for me.
So to solve the problem of getting the costume, my sister Mary-Ann whos now 19 and is able to drive - is home today from College. I then enter the living room.
"Mary-Ann."
"Oh, Sam. What you want."
"Well I have been invited to a halloween party this weekend."
"Oh."
"I kinda need a costume."
"So, what you planning going as."
"Well, I thought I could get away with going to the party in a female costume."
"Do you think this a good idea."
"Yeah, I think I could go as a superhero."
"Oh, so you can hide behind a mask."
"Yeah."
"Well Shall we go and get the bits."
"You want me to come with you."
"Yeah, how am I going to get clothes which fit for you."
"Good Point."
"how we going to tell mum sis."
"Well, mum knows that your a bit different."
"How so."
"Well she has seen Dawn's Clothes in my room and has asked me about it."
"What did you say to her."
"I told her the whole truth."
"All of it."
"Yeah, she asked why I did it, I told her I always seen you as a girl not as a boy, brother."
"So why has mum not asked me yet."
"Shes probably waiting for you to tell her."
"Oh."
"Yeah, so shall we go."
"Yeah, wait."
"What."
"Well, why dont I dress up as Dawn now."
"Hmm, that would make sense."
We both head upstairs to my sisters room here at home. She opens her clothes cupboard and brings out Dawn's clothes.
"Well, something simple then brother."
"Yeah, T-Shirt and Trackies."
"K, Underwear."
"Training Bra and Panties, Pink please."
"K."
"Shoes or Trainers."
"Trainers."
She proceeds to pull out the required items onto her bed. Then she leaves the room for me to get changed. Which I then promptly do, the training bra is like a pull over one, but my sister has shown me - with one of her bras while she was fully dressed we still are brother and sister, not sister and sister so no flesh was shown.
She showed me by putting the bra on over a T-shirt she was wearing showed her method putting it on and how to hook up on the back, she said this method would work with tweaking for any normal bra.
So I get finally dressed, i.e underwear on and then T-shirt and Trackies. Then I call out for my sister.
"Sis, you can come back in."
She comes back in.
"What is the problem, Dawn."
When im dressed in Girl Clothes, she calls me dawn.
"Well, Socks."
I Point to my feet.
"Oh, opps. What Color."
"Well, pink."
She grabs the pink socks, then hands them to me. I then put them on and my sister helps me put my shoes on.
"Well I think we are ready now, aren't we sis."
"Yeah."
I head downstairs and wait for my sister at the door, then head to her car on the driveway. You may wonder why my sister has taken over as my Mum so to speak, well my mum works for a major science lab and it keeps her busy.
Mary-Ann then opens her car up and we get in and head off to the local mall.
Well here it is, my superhero story. It will be a few chapters before the Superhero Emerges.

We arrived at the local mall's carpark, I am nervous as hell as this is the first time that I am outside the house in my Dawn persona.
Sister gets out of the car to go and get the parking ticket, while i stay in the car. I dont feel brave enough to get out of the car without my sister with me.
So what kind of superhero would I be, well I am thinking that i would be one who could have many powers, but only a few at a time. So like each power or set of powers is something different to the next set, kinda like crystals or souls. That is it my superhero would use a particular soul at a time - giving powers in realtion to that soul.
"Dawn, time to go."
I suddenly notice my sister is back in the car putting the car parking ticket in.
"Oh, sorry sis, I was just thinking about what my superhero's powers are."
"Oh."
"Bascially she uses a Power or Set of Powers at a time, which would be bound under a Soul."
"Oh cool, so you thought of any yet."
"Yeah two."
We get out of the car and head over to the mall.
"Well I have 2 in mind, One is Metal Soul, Which is where I take on characteristics of Metal. The other is Beast Soul, Where I take on the aspects of animals."
"Ah, so your superhero could have more then."
"Yeah, even could combine souls together later on for more powerful effects."
"So Combining Beast Soul with Metal so you could have Metal Beast Soul or Beast Metal Soul."
"Yeah."
"Cool. You fought of a costume yet."
"Well it is going to be Leotard and Tights effect. With the leotard changing colour so match the Soul the hero is in at the time."
"Ah, so what colour we going for a." Hyphens "base colour for the costume."
"White, with silver edging, Ideally I would have stone like pattern on the front of the costume between where I would have breasts." Shying up at point "With silver lines spreading out like veins."
"Cool, if you had this idea eariler we could of sorted this out."
"I am only 12, I do not plan that far ahead sis."
"True."
We continue into the mall and head over to a sporting goods shop.
"Ah, I think we can find the leotard in here sis."
"Yeah."
We head to the Junior section and to my amazment there is a Leotard which is the one which I would settle for.
"Sis, thats the one there."
"Oh yeah, excatly as you described it."
"Yeah."
"Thats freaky."
We grab the leotard and head up to the service counter where there is a middle age women serving.
"Ah, learning to dance."
"No, maam its for a halloween costume."
"Oh, that would of been my second guess."
We get the stuff and then leave.
"Well sis, what shoes."
"Boots."
"Oh."
"I am not being a superhero in heels."
"Ah."
We head over to shoe shop in the mall. We are greated by a Salesclerk
"Ah, what can I do for you 2 young ladies."
I go embrassed
"Well im here with my little sister getting all of the things needed for a costume for the halloween party she is going to."
"Ah, so what kind of shoe are you looking for young girl."
I have recovered at this point.
"Ah, Boots with no heels."
"Sensible girl, I think it would be a bit too early for you to start wearing heels. Do you have a color in mind."
"Yeah, White if it all possible."
"Hmm I think we might have some in your size. Do you know what size you wear."
"Yeah."
I tell her
"Ah, would I make a suggestion, if you are wearing these boots, what have you got on your feet."
"Tights."
"Ah, might I suggest that you have some socks as well, tights would not give you enough heat value to keep your feet warm."
"Oh that would be a good idea, I have some white socks if possible with silver edging on the sock."
"We actually have some."
Now I am offically in shock
"Cool."
"I just go and get them."
"Sis, you going to be fine here I go and grab the white tights you need for you."
"Yeah, I be fine here."
Sister disapears off. Couple of minutes later she returns with the tights and the salesclerk returns with the shoes.
"Oh, it took me longer than expected to get the boots and the socks from the storeroom. I see you where able to get the tights which your sister wanted."
"Yes I did."
"Well she we get these items payed for."
"Yeah we shall."
We head up to the counter, and my sister being a planning sort of person had a Backpack with her which was my size and put the Boots and Socks in the bag along with the Tights and Leotard from earlier. We then head out of the shop towards a little jewellary store, an oldy type one not one of these new ones which try and put as much stuff out to sell as possible at the same time.
"Well Dawn, this is where we get the final bit for the costume."
"Oh."
"I think a necklace would be perfect, it would perfect as the place where the hero could call upon the costume and her powers, it should be a necklase with amulet with multiple set stones."
"Yeah that would be cool."
We enter the shop and its soooo coool, it has nice pieces of jewellery and even with my limited knowledge there are some pieces here from all over the world. Then a old gentleman appears.
"Ah, what would 2 young ladies want in my fine establishment."
"I know this would sound weird but we are looking for a piece of jewelary for my sister Dawn here for her costume and to have later on."
"Ah, I have several here which maybe suitable. So I get the display cases out, they will cost $50 Dollars to buy, I have been trying to sell them for quite some time. I am also afraid I only take cash."
"Understandable, cash has less questions but also clears quicker."
"So sis I have to go into the bank across from here to get the money out, damm me not having a ATM card. So stay here and look at the Jewelary the man brings out while I get the money."
So Sis heads out of the shop to the bank over the street, while this happens the old man brings out several necklases which seem interesting.
"So young lady, whats your name."
"My name is Dawn."
"Dawn is such a beautiful name, so here are the necklases I am offering for $50 dollars."
I begin to look at them, then I see one which is perfect, its a Gold Plated - well I assume its gold plated sun burst - an 8 pointed star with and in the center which has various gems in it a circular pattern.
"I think that one on the left seems to be the one."
"Ah that one, I think its perfect with someone with name like yours, Sun Like amulet necklase for someone called Dawn. Shall we put it on for to see if it looks right."
"You sure sir."
"Yes, I would not want to sell a necklase which didnt fit."
He gestures me to come around the counter, which I then see that there is stool there, I climb up it and sit down. Then he takes the necklace off the stand on the counter and then puts it on me. It is then I feel this rush of energy coming over me.
But then I hear loud bang and turn to look out of the window and see men in robbing gear at the door to the bank, my sister is trapped in there and theres nothing I can do.
"My sister."
"Well I be, I think I never seen this happen here before."
"I want to help."
"The best thing you can do here is to stay here."
But I start to here this voice in my head.
"Do you want the power to help."
"Yes I do."
Then there is a bright flash of light.
Well she has gained her superhero abilities

Last Time on Rising Dawn

"My sister."
"Well I be, I think I never seen this happen here before."
"I want to help."

Then there is a bright flash of light.
Then Appearing in her place, is a 6ft Tall 20 year old Women with Long Brown Hair and Green Eyes, Wearing White Combat Boots with Silver Accents, White Socks with Silver Banding around them, Wearing White Tights with Silver Seems, Wearing a White Leotard with Silver Edging and in the center of leotard between the Breasts is the Necklace which seems to be bonded in place with Silver Lines Spreading off from it.
"Whoah, who are you."
"I am Soul Syncho. Or you may call me Dawn"
"Well what are you going to do now."
"I am going to show that this planet has a new hero."
With that Dawn disapears from the Jewelary Shop. Then Promptley Re-Appears in front of the Bank.
"Hmm what should I do now, if they have guns i just get shot up."
Thats when I hear a voice in my head again.
"You have the power of Souls now, with only being just coming into your powers you only have 1 Soul to engauge, Metal Soul."
"Okay, how do I engauge Metal Soul."
"Say, Soul Syncho Metal Soul."
"K."
I Notice that the doors to the bank are still open, I see that there are 2 Gunmen in the Lobby Area of the Bank that I can see, this must mean there is a third person somewhere in the back area of the bank.
Then the 2 Gunmen Turn around and look at me.
"Well now, its a bit early for halloween isn't it."
"Yeah, you think you are a superhero then."
They both laugh.
"Yeah I think that I am a Superhero."
"Well then, i think we should test that."
They both raise there AR-15 Rifles at me
"Well Time for a New Power, Soul Syncho Metal Soul."
The Amulet/Necklace Lights up and Energy begins to Flow into the Silver Lines around Dawn, then on the Skin which is showing turns into Silver Colour, Her Hair Turns Black and her Eyes turn Yellow.
"Metal Soul Syncho Complete."
Then the Gunman Fire at me, Fully Automatic it seems. I feel the Bullets hitting me on the arms and my body and they are just flatting like as if I was wearing body armor.
"What the hell, the bullets just when squish against her."
"I Know."
I begin to advance at them at a slow pace, It seems Metal Soul has a drawback that it makes me slower that I would be without it.
"What the hell, shes advancing towards us."
"I know, what do we do."
"Go and hit her."
By this point, everyone who was on the floor in the bank have now turned around or moved to now look at me, I can see that my sister is fine, She is looking at me with wonder.
The Gunmen who have now come up to me, now hit me with there fists.
As the Gunmen hit Soul Syncho with there fists there is a loud crack and both of them have hit her with there right hands on her main torso but their hands break due Dawn's skin being effectly Battleship Armour in toughness.
"What the hell you made of."
"Yeah, that hurt."
I then look at them, then I raise my hands and Push them, which causes them to fly back and hit the counter which is 50m away and they have a meeting of the minds and knock each other out.
Then from the back, the third gunman appears with the Bank manager by her hair.
"So you have managed to take out both of my minons."
"Yes. I have."
"Well then, It seems you have a superhero complex."
"Well Yeah Duh."
"So then, how are you going to save the bank manager from having her brains blasted out."
"Well I have a few tricks up my sleeve."
He brings the gun up to the Bank Managers head. Then as he Squeezes the trigger on the 9mm Pistol, I act I concentrate on the on the Gun and command it to bend to my will.
As I concentrate hoping im not too late, the gun brings to turn to dust and falls on the floor. This Startles the Leader of the Bank Robbers and the Bank Manager Pegs it away from him.
"So you actually have powers."
"Yes I do."
"Hmm."
I then consentrate on the door frame behind him to effectively bind him, so the door frame begins to warp and starts to turn into tendrils.
"Well I see I have bitten more off than I could chew."
As he says this, the now tendrils of metal and now posised behind him.
"So are you willing to come quitely."
"I think I have no choice."
Then I get one of the tendrils to tap him on the shoulder.
"What was that."
"Thats something I have just spent some time concentrating on."
I command the tendrils to Wrap him up.
"What the...." As I gaghim with a Flexible Metal mesh around his mouth.
"Dont worry, I have only restrained you."
Then I hear Footsteps from outside.
"Ah the Police are here, I must go, I need to get used to this Superhero Gig in all respects."
Then I See my sister get up.
"So what do we call you ma'am."
I Swear I hear a smirk in her voice when she says that.
"Well Ma'am, you should call me Soul Syncho."
"Okay, Ma'am."
"Depart Metal Soul."
I Return to normal and then teleport back to Jewelary Shop.
I see that the Shopkeeper is still there.
"Ah Dawn, would like to come into the back so you can transform back."
"Yes, I shall."
I head into the backroom, and the shopclerk closes the door to the back room.
"Soul Syncho Depart."
I change back into my 12 year old self, looking exactlly the same as i was before the voice i heard in my head happend.
I open the door and see the Shopkeeper talking to a Police Officer.
"Well Sir what did you see of the incident."
"Not Much I'm Afraid as I was dealing with this young lady at the time." He gestures towards me.
"Oh, why was she in the back."
I pipe up.
"Officer, the Shopkeeper here told me to go in his backroom here for safety, plus i used his toilet too."
"I see no problem here, so what did you notice young lady."
"The only thing I noticed was the loud bang and both me and shopkeeper turned around to look and see the trouble at the bank. Oh that reminds me, has Mary-Ann Weston been made sure shes fine."
"Yes she has, is she your sister."
"Yeah."
"Yes she has been taken to the police station for a check-over by one of the medics there."
"Ah, Shopkeeper sir."
"Yes, Dawn."
"I think I need to go to Police Station with the officer here."
"Ah, and you are wondering about the necklace."
"Yes."
"Do not worry about it, I am just happy I have found someone for the necklace."
Personally i know what he means by that.
"Thank you, Sir I comeback later with my sister to give proper thanks."
"Be sure you do young lady."
Then the police officer gestures me to follow him to his police car. I wonder if my sister figured out that it was me, who came to bank, yeah I think so.
Well she has finally seen action.

So I follow the police officer to his Police Car, the officer opens up the passenger side door.
"Well, little lady, you get to take a trip to the police station in the passenger seat."
I look up to him.
"Cool, thank you officer."
"No problem, little lady."
"I am not little, just vertically challenged."
The officer laughs.
"You sure have a quick wit."
"Yep."
"Well, we aren’t going to get to see your sister any faster young lady, with you and I hanging around the car like this."
"Oops."
I get into the car, put my Backpack with my Soul Syncho costume in the foot well. Then I manage to put my seatbelt on.
"Well Dawn, I think you’re secure in there aren’t you."
"I did not tell you my name, officer."
"Ah no, but as a trained police officer, I am instructed to observe. You had mentioned your name to the shopkeeper."
"Oh yeah. Oops."
He closes the door and goes around to get into his side of the car and straps in.
"Well Dawn, shall we head to the police station."
"Yeah, I would like to go there under lights, but."
"You know that I am not allowed to use them unless it is an emergency, or some of my fellow officers do sometimes and which I feel you suspect. That they use it for Doughnut/Coffee runs."
"Well, you have guessed correctly, officer."
"Well, let’s go."
With that we head off to the Police Station, it should not take that long to get there seeing as we are in on the Boston Municipal Area not Boston its self.
"So Dawn, are you going to a Halloween party this year."
"Yes, a costume one of course."
"Oh, what as?"
"A superhero."
"Nice, any particular one."
Well what do I now say to this, I can not exactly say that I’m going to the party as Soul Syncho, my Superhero identity.
"Not really, just being like a superhero."
"So, the costume, does it have a cape?"
"Nah, too cliche."
We arrive at the police station, we pull up in the designated police parking spot. The officer gets out of the car to come around to my side to open the door. I get sudden inspiration to exit the car as is if im wearing a skirt. which I then do.
"Well Dawn, are not you forgetting something?"
Ah, I realise that I have not gotten the backpack from the car yet. I grab it from the car.
"Oops."
"Well we can not leave your stuff behind, Dawn."
"No, we can not."
The Officer closes the passenger door behind him, and offers me his hand. I take it, then we walk into the police station. I see that the front area in the police station has become a emergency triage.
I see my sister sitting on one of the gurneys [well what would you use to have people sit on for looking over by the medic]. She sees me and nods at me. I let go of the officer’s hand and run towards my sister.
She looks at the medic who nods at her and she gets off the gurney and runs towards me. She picks me up and swings me around then settles me down.
"Well sis, I am as fine as I can be under the circumstances which have happened today."
"I am glad you’re safe my sister."
"Well, Officer, am I free to go?"
"Have you given a statement."
"Yes I have, to the Desk Sergeant."
"Then you’re free to go. Ah, your car is still parked back at the mall."
"Yes."
"Well then come with me. It seems that the supposed hero saved lives today."
"Yeah."
"Well, what was her name?"
"Oh, she told me. Her name is Soul Syncho."
"Soul Syncho, Boston's First Hero... maybe America's First Hero or Even the Planet Earth’s New Hero."
"Well I never thought of that."
We head back to one of the 4x4 police cars, then head back to the mall.

We arrive back at the mall, it is not that late. Me and sis get out of the car also not forgetting my backpack, the officer winds down the window.
"You be fine now ladies."
"Yes, I have my keys."
Sis jingles her keys.
"I need to head back to the Station."
We wave him off as he pulls away to head to the station.
What do we do now, we could of gone to the mall. But with what happened today at the mall, it has been closed so that the bank can be examined in detail.
Both of us head back to the car in the car park, where we notice that a notice has been put up telling anyone who has parked in the carpark today does not need to pay.
"So sis, how long you think will the mall be closed."
"Well with only 1 bullet fired, and only injuries which happend where caused." She looks around. "by You, not that long. Allthough as this is a incident involving a bank, there having to bring in the Treasuary Department and the FBI."
"Makes sense, what does not make sense is why I am a superhero now."
"Yeah, that I am wondering that too."
We get into the car at this point and head off, I think my sister is feeling giddy that she does not need to pay for the carparking today.
As we are heading back home, i am getting a strange feeling that something is following us.
"Sis, I have a bad feeling."
"Why."
"Well I think since I became Soul Syncho, I might of gotten more that just transforming into her."
"Oh."
"I think I got some mystical senses, that I think we have something which means us harm following us."
"Okay, is it coming towards us yet."
"No, its just following us for the moment."
"Okay, I am going to take us to somewhere not near anyone else, once we are clear you should transform."
"Well I do not know if I can transform off the cuff."
"I hope you can, If your feelings are correct."
"I think I be able to."
It takes 15 minutes to get somewhere remote - it is boston, so it will take a while. I notice that the feeling, I had has not gone away.
"Sis, stop the car here."
She Stops.
"What now."
"Sis, I want you to get away from here as soon as you can, once I have engaged with it hopefully."
"Understood."
Then about 60yrds in front of me, something appears.
"What is that."
"I think that what is been following us."
What I see infront of me, can only be discribed as a Cross-Between the Imagination of H.P Lovecraft and Gary Gyax.
"Well, You want to fight me."
The Thing nods.
I hear sis start the car up and head back down the track.
"Well then, as there is no one else around here."
"Soul Syncho Emerge."

Then from the now complete leotard the tights form from the top of the hips to the feet, once they reach the feet. The socks and the boots form from the sole up, with the sock forming first.
Once they are complete the Silver Accents appear on the various parts of the costume. As this occurs the Hair and Eye color of Soul Syncho come in, as the color for the hair is slowely appearing the hair lengthens down the mid back area.
The eye colour comes in from pupil and out. Then the burst of light dissappears leaving the now transformed Dawn as Soul Syncho.
"Soul Syncho Complete."

I land about 4 meters further back, it then leaps towards me once more. I sidestep to the right and it overshoots. I then leap up once more as it turns on itself, reforming its body so that its now facing me once more.
I realise that bludgeoning attacks [yes I am a D&D Geek] wont do anything to a creature who seems to be ooze like traits. It seems to be studying me, this is not good news.
It seems to have intelligence higher than animal intellgence, this is not good. It sprinting towards me and as before I sidestep to the left this time. But as I performing this action, it seems to have learned from my previous use of the manuveur.
It twists on its axis and hits me on my stomach and the hit propels me a few meters away from it.
Damm, i should not underestimate it now, it capable of learning. But the fact is that in my base form or Metal Soul, I wont be able to do any significant damage to it. Only if I was able to gain claws or some sort of slashing weapon.
I leap up again as it leaps towards me, but I do not leap high enough as it uses one of its tentacles to bring me back to the ground hard.
Ouch I felt that, then I realise that I must have more than one soul availible to me, so there must be one I have, but not know for sure.
Then I hear a roar in my mind, as I hear this. I feel a rush of power, could this be a new soul being made avalible to me.
The beast comes towards me once more with its jaw open, also seem to be salivating as well. Then there is a bright flash of light comes out from me knocking the beast back, it is then I feel my body changing.
"Soul Syncho Beast Soul."
Soul Amulet lights up, and energy flows through the silver line, then spread along the skin and cover the entire body. Using the energy now surrounding Dawn, the energy is moulded on the hands into cat-like fingers with non retractable claws.
Eyes reform into cat like eyes with goldern color irises, the hair blooms out into a Lion like maine and takes on a sandy red colour.
Then at the back of Dawn near where the Coccyx Bones are on a human, a lion like tail shoots out. The boots take on a animal like appearance, the tights and socks also the leotard take on a beige like color. Skin also takes on a beige like color.
"Soul Syncho Beast Soul Complete."
The Beast looks at my now Beast Soul form, it slightly backs away from me.
Well Dawn now has her Second Soul unlocked, Beast Soul.

I leap from the ground back into a standing position. It moves back slightly, as if to study my new form.
It then leaps at me, I raise my right arm and extend my right fist straight into its face, it oozes into the face for just a split second.
Then its head falls around my fist, then spawns several more tentacles from its now split head and launches them towards me.
I launch my self upwards to avoid the tentacles of the beast, its now doing a Carrion Crawler impression with the amount of tentacles.
It turns it head up towards me, looking at me then it uses some of its tentacles to move to its back. What can it be planning to do, I land myself on a tree.
Then I see what its planning, the tentacles on its back begin to merge and expand into wings. While this is happening it takes it head and merges it back together again.
I leap off the tree with both hands in a knife edge formation and dive towards the beast. It uses the wings it now has to leap up to meet me with its remaining tentacles in a spear formation in front of its head.
As its comes towards where I was perched on the branch, I manage to lash out with my hands as I head to the ground, managing to get it in the side. But as I accomplish this feat, it turns one of it's wings into separate tentacles again.
It uses the tentacles to grab the arm which I just used to injure it, and with some force whack me into the tree which I just leapt from. Ouch that hurt and I end up on the forest floor.
It lands on the tree which I just been thrown into, and begins to walk down it towards me. Damn I thought this beast soul would help me fight it.
It is then I realise, If I have a Beast soul then that means, I have access to any beast that should exist, not just Cats. Oh this is going to be fun.
So I think instead of being like a cat, I think being a bear would be better. So with that my hair returns to normal length, my tail disappears.
The colour of my suit, skin, tights and socks becomes a brown color. My boots take on bear paw appearance.
My hands enlarge slightly to take on the now enlarged claws on my hands. Well this is going to get better for me.
I slam my arm into the tree and the thing nearly snaps in two with the amount of force I put into the blow. This causes the Beast to be violently thrown off the tree back to the edge of the clearing.
Damn I have impressive strength, it rights its self back up once more. Then it begins to shed its tentacles into the ground.
What could it be planning, well that thought is acknowledged when the shed tentacles begins to co-lases into 2 more of its self.
Oh Boy.
Well the fight has begun, also in typical anime/manga style this fight is set to last a few chapters but not too long so more plot can appear

Oh Boy.
The now pack of beasts come towards me in a arrowhead formation. Now using my superior strength due my Bear Beast Soul, I shove my hand into one of the trees near me and rip the tree out.
When the beasts see this being done, they back off slightly. I take the time I have now gained in doing with the beasts doing this manoeuvring to properly place the tree in both hands and leap forward towards them.
The beasts scatter as they see leaping towards them, but one of them does not quite move fast enough as I swing in a low arch as I am coming towards them.
It connects with the side of the beast, and completely obliterates it. But in the process half of the tree gets destroyed from the kinetic force I just imparted to the beast.
It is then the other two come towards me at a greater pace than before, I take what remains of the Tree - well it could be called a log now all things considering. I chuck it towards one of the beasts, it spears it through the head.
Well, I have managed to even the odds back to normal. But then remaining beast re-absorbs the its two clones, and promptly enlarges itself to the size of a black bear. Oh Poopie.
Well I brace myself, cause then it charges towards me at full pelt. It is then I hear a shotgun going off, and the Beast Bear slumps to the ground and I turn to look who shot the shotgun at the bear beast.
Its my sister, with a big grin on her face.
"Sis."
"Yeah."
"I thought I told you to leave."
"Yeah, but I am not leaving my baby sister alone, even if she is now a superhero."
"That is true."
I begin to walk towards my sister. As I am doing so, Beast Soul begins to dissipate.
"Well it seems you gained a new Soul."
"Yeah, Beast Soul."
Beast Soul has dissipated.
"So what can this one do."
"Well I can in Beast Soul take on the abilities of animals, although only one animal at a time and I can change between different beasts at the same time."
"Cool, so can you change back to normal now, cause this shotgun will attract attention."
"Ah, k."
I continue to walk towards my sister, and gradually change back to being dawn again.
"Nice to see you again."
"Why is that sis."
"Cause you look so much cuter like that."
"Ah, so not for some other reason sis."
She blushes.
"No, none at all."
"Yeah right."
We begin to walk back to the car.
"Well sis, where did you get the shotgun from."
"I got it from the Gun locker in my car."
"Wait you got a gun locker."
"Yeah, I go shooting sometimes with my own guns."
"Ah, so mum does not know then."
"Yeah, you know what her view on guns are."
"Oh, don't I know it."
As we are talking we get to the boot of the car, she opens the boot up and opens a locker in the boot and places the shotgun back in.
Then she closes the boot and gets me to get into the car, she promptly follows into her seat and we head back out of the area.
We then promptly head back home.

We pull up outside the house, it is then we both look at each other when we see that mums car is parked in the driveway.
At the same time we voice out.

"Hmm, well it is not a good idea for you to teleport into the house, cause how do we explain that you where home all of the time. When I am not supposed to leave you alone."

"Hmm, that could work. Its Confidence exercise for the 'Soul Syncho' costume."
"Cool, So Shall we."
We both get out the car, I grab my bag with the costume in it.
"You think this be a good time to say that, I feel that I am a Girl not a Boy."
"Yeah, Plus I think with what you are wearing will make mum's mind up, do not forget she already knows about you being Dawn but wants you to tell her."
"Yeah, I do remember you telling me that. But what about me being Soul Syncho."
"Hmm that is the tougher one."
"So wait till it needs to be said thou."
"Yeah."
Sister locks her car up and we head towards the front door. We then open the front door.
There standing half-way down the stairs, is Mum.
"Mum."
"Daughters, you better come in."
We step in and Mary-Ann closes the door.
"So where did you and Mary-Ann go today."
"We went up-town to get the stuff needed for my costume for the Halloween party I should be going to."
"So I accompanied my sister here so she could get a lift to the local mall and be there to protect her if need be."
I laugh in my head at sentence.
"So, why do I both of my daughters here."
"Well, Mary-Ann and me thought that it was a good idea that I should be dressed like this, so I get used to it when I wear my costume."
"Well what do I call you then."
"Dawn, Mummy."
"Well it seems I might of lost a son and gained a daughter."
"I am still here mummy."
"Dawn, you have never been my son for a long time, you have been my daughter. I think Mary-Ann figured that one out earlier on."
"Yeah I did."
"So Dawn, want to be my Daughter."
"Yes, Mummy it would make more than proud to be your daughter."

Last time on Rising Dawn
"Dawn, you have never been my son for a long time, you have been my daughter. I think Mary-Ann figured that one out earlier on."
"Yeah I did."
"So Dawn, want to be my Daughter."
"Yes, Mummy it would make more than proud to be your daughter."
Then I Grip my Stomach and collapse on the floor.
I wake up, I find myself not in the house any more.
What I see is vast white space surrounding me, it is then I realise what my current appearance is. It seems due to where I am that I am currently in the form of Soul Syncho.
Hmm, So now thinking about it, I must be within a portion of my body which might relight to the soul. Damn this getting somewhat confusing. So I head forwards, as there is not a better direction for me to go in.
It seems I travel for an hour, when I see in the distance. I see what appears to be a Greek Structure not unlike the Parthenon in Athens Greece.
I close distance with the Structure, as I get near the stone steps of the structure. I see that its on solid bedrock, so I turn myself around to look back where I came from and the bedrock extends about 10 meters away from the structure.
Then it drops away, so I am thinking that its more like Mt Olympus than the Parthenon. So Head up the stairs.
Meanwhile
"Mum, Call for an Ambulance. I start to check Dawn other."
"Yes Mary-Ann."
So Mum heads over to the phone and begins to phone for an ambulance. I grab my medical bag. Oh that is right I never said what my College course was, It is Pre-Med Course.
I begin to check over Dawn, well her vitals are normal at the moment. But wait there is something wrong here, I can actually feel some heat in the stomach region.
"Ambulance is called dear."
"That is good, I think Dawn has something more than a simple collapse here."
"Well what is wrong."
"Well, she has a higher temperature in her Abdomen, but its nothing to do with appendix."
Although I think that its to do with my sister being Soul Syncho. Might be effect from using her abilities twice in one day.
"Hmm, well at least we are covered for the medical insurance."
"Well mum, do you think we should change Dawn back into more gender neutral clothes."
"Hmm, might be a good idea."
"Well at least we should change the underwear as well, I think it would look weird for someone treating her with her wearing a Pink Bra and Pink Knickers. But does not have the right equipment down below."
"Yeah."
Mum heads upstairs to get some more gender neutral clothing.
Back in Dawn's Soul
As I head up the stairs I see the most beautiful front doors I have ever seen. They are about 9ft high with the doors being made from seemly to be Bronze.
Inscribed into the doors seem to be various interpretations of Greek Gods and Monsters. This is getting confusing more by the minute.
As I Approach the doors they suddenly open in front of me. A bright light spiels out from the now open doors
Well it seems there is more to Dawn being Soul Syncho.

As the Light from the doors dies down, I see a temple layout in front of me. I step into the temple structure and as soon as I pass the doors, they close behind me.
As I look in front of me, I see finely carved columns depicting various monsters of Greek myths curving around the columns.
I Continue on walking along the pathway in front of me, although I think that this structure whatever its representing is bigger than I thought.
Meanwhile
I see mum come back downstairs, with slacks, T-shirt and a Pair of gender neutral underwear.
We get Dawn changed quickly, I also take the necklace and put it on, I have the strangest feeling that I need to carry it and just in time too, for the Paramedics to arrive. Mum opens the door and the paramedics come in.
"So what treatment has been done already."
"Just basic checks so far, and a change of clothing was done."
One of the medics gets down and starts to check Dawn over. Mums beginning to freak out. I am not.
"Why did you change the clothing."
"Due to a new medical condition she has."
"Which is."
"I Believe that my brother who is in my eyes my sister, is Transgendered."
"Ah, was she presenting herself as female at the time of the call."
"Yes."
"I take it your medically trained."
"Yes, I am taking a Pre-Med Course."
"You did well today."
"Thank you."
I relay her condition to the one treating her, while the other paramedic goes to get the stretcher.
Once the stretcher is brought in, the paramedics get me to help them get Dawn onto the Stretcher, and mum joins us as we head to the Ambulance.
We get to the Ambulance and get in. One of the paramedics in the back, with me and mum and sis. The other paramedic, gets in the front and we head off.
Back in Dawns Soul
I feel sense of warmth and familiarity. I do not know what has prompted this.
I Still continue on this path that I am on, I know that there must be a end to this.
Meanwhile
We are about 10 minutes into the journey, when I get this sudden uneasy feeling. Then it hits me, for some reason that I can feel the souls around me.
I Feel Mums, the 2 paramedics, My Sisters which for some reason is in 2 Places - her body and the amulet and another right above us.
That is not good, it is then that the ambulance is hit on the side by some force.
"What is going on."
"I do not know."
The driver of the ambulance must be good. As we are hit again on the same side, but this time a claw comes into the ambulance side.
Which is then pulled out, leaving a sizeable hole in the side.
"What ever did that, is not normal."
"I think you hit the nail on the head there, Mum."
Now only if I Could deal with the problem on the outside. I look towards Dawn.
Now back with Dawn.
I suddenly get the urge to stop. I do.
Then I Look up and see a view of what appears to be a Interior of a Ambulance. The view shifts around, and I see myself on a ambulance stretcher.
That is something that you do not see everyday, I then realise where I am looking from. I am looking from the Soul Amulet.
It is then, I get a Feeling from my Sister Mary-Ann. I know its her, we are in trouble. She wants to help, but I do not know what to do.
Then a Glowing grid pattern appears in front of me. It seems to be the amulet, and two orbs, One which is currently in the Amulet and one one outside.
I move the one in the amulet to the outside and the outside one in the amulet at the same time.
The some text comes up.
Do you wish to initiate emergency soul syncho.
Well, I did. I hit the orb into the amulet and the world goes white.
Back with Mary-Ann.
I get this feeling of warmness and a voice in my head.
"Emergency soul syncho initialised, secondary user identified as family. Full functions available, new souls available.
do you wish to commence soul syncho."
Yes.
"Mum."
"Yes, Mary-Ann."
"Do not try to stop me."

A brilliant burst of light surrounds Mary-Ann, within the burst of light Mary-Ann entire body turns into light, retaining an outline of her 19 year old body - with no sexual features on it at all, except for the shape of the breasts.
Then the entire body changes to match general body shape of Soul Syncho. Then the amulet appears on the chest between the breasts, and then from it the leotard portion of the suit appears as this happens.
Then from the now complete leotard the tights form from the top of the hips to the feet, once they reach the feet. The socks and the boots form from the sole up, with the sock forming first.
Once they are complete the Silver Accents appear on the various parts of the costume. As this occurs the Hair and Eye color of Soul Syncho come in, as the color for the hair is slowly appearing the hair lengthens down the mid back area.
The eye colour comes in from pupil and out. Then the burst of light disappears leaving the now transformed Mary-Ann as Soul Syncho.
"Soul Syncho Complete."
Woah, this is different. Then I see I am hovering in the air.
Then I look above the ambulance, it is then that I see the monster which had attacked me and my sister. Its a Freakin Dragon. A honest to god dragon.
It is 30ft long, 20ft wide wingspan and 10ft high. Now how am I supposed to fight a dragon. Wait, there must be a soul available to Dawn and me by extension.
Hmm, I begin searching within my mind for something, it is then I appear in a Greek Temple, next to my sister.
"Sis."
"Yeah, where I am."
"I think we are in the Soul Sychro Amulet."
"Hmm, I take it this conversation is happening very fast mentally so that I have time to recover myself in the real world."
"Yeah."
"So, what souls we got now available to us now, considering I had a message appear in my mind saying there was new souls."
So while we think upon this, in front of us appears a menu, with 8 Souls listed with add-ons available.
"Oh, 6 new ones, Mary-Ann and with add-ons as well."
"Let me take a look."
I look at the list of the 8 souls. Then I see the Soul.
"Well Dawn, look at this one here."
"Oh."
"Yes, It seems we have an soul capable of flight."
"Yeah, what add-ons are available."
"oooh, guns."
"I know you like guns sis."
"Yeah."
"So, angel soul with gun add-ons."
"Yes, dawn."
"So see you soon."
I feel the temple around me dissipated, and the last thing to go is the image of my sister. I then see myself back hovering near the ambulance, where I left it.
Then, I just Imagine the transformation. Soul Synchro Emerge, Gun Angel Soul. It is then I am bathed in Light.
The back of the Leotard, is altered for a set of white angel wings. Then on arms, bracer's appear - which are simple metal bracer's with a Blue Gem set into each of them. Then boots take on a army boot appearance.
"Soul Synchro Complete, Gun Angel Soul."
Then I Fly up to meet the dragon who quickly notices me and heads after me.
Bah, sorry for not posting this chapter sooner, my muse had been kidnapped and only returned after christmas.

I begin to rise up, into the sky. Going about 150mph, the dragon is keeping up with me.
I continue to climb up, and soon reach 20,000ft in the air. As I level myself off, the dragon rises slowly through the cloud layer. Now this is getting me worried, why has it not attacked me yet. I have shown myself to be something that it must have some interest in.
Then it suddenly opens it mouth and launches a typical breath weapon towards me. I quickly move my wings to in front of me, then separate them to part the air in front of me. This move causes the breath weapon to spread around me as if I have had a ship prowl in front of me.
The dragon is surprised by this, so I seize upon this moment and activate my Gun Powers. From the bracer's, I pull out a M60. The different thing about this M60 from normal is the fact it does not have the usual ammo supply, the belt for the M60 extend from it, and hooks up into my back.
Then I let it rip and the dragon shrugs off, most of the damage caused by this burst of fire. But as is the case some damage was inflicted. It drops slightly but then it recovers and uses its wings to blast a burst of air towards me. I stop my wings and drop to avoid the air blast.
Had that blast hit me, it would of pushed me back far enough that it would followed up with something more nasty. I quickly fly up to the dragon and catch it being over me now. It must of taken the chance to move foward.
I release the M60 and change weapons to Pair of Plasma Pistols and unleash a barrage of plasma death on the dragon. From the force of the plasma bolts hitting the underside of the dragon. It physically moves up, and up and up.
Then I horrible realisation came to me. As I see the bolts hitting the dragon, I see it not reacting at all to this latest attack of mine.
It is then I hear a deep voice.
"Ah, someone thinks they can stop me."
"Yeah, I can. If my sister could be here, she could kick your ass as well if not better than I can."
"Well, I sense that your power is puny compared to mine, so I make sure that you go down twice as fast."
"What you mean."
"I mean this."
It is then the dragon, then starts to rip itself apart. This confused me for a moment, It is then I realise what its doing.
Its splitting itself in two, kinda like a Black Pudding from D&D.
I recover from the stupor that this latest event had put me into, then I commence firing plasma into the dragon, well dragons now.
But alas it is too late, the dragon has completed its splitting and I now have to deal with 2 of them. I think, I feel that I am over my head with this. Only if my sister could join me here as Soul Synchro. But I know that would be miracle, due to the fact I currently am Soul Synchro.
Hopefully something will happen soon. Please someone help me.
There is then a flash of light.......

Meanwhile back in Soul Synchro Soul Room with Dawn residing
Damn my sister rocks, with no experience compared to me. I supposed its very humbling.
As I continue to watch my sister battle the dragon, it is then I see that my sister is now having trouble with the Dragon - well it seems two dragons.
It is then I hear my sister mentally cry out for help. But what can I do to help my sister outside, then from nowhere I see a screen pop-up.
It read, ARMOUR PROTOCOL. Do you wish to engage.
Well if it helps my sister, then.
"Initiate ARMOUR Protocol."
"ARMOUR Protocol, Transfer of Battle Summon Armour."
Back in the real world
Flash of light erupts in-front of me, to my surprise is a Suit of Female Fitted Full Plate. But its 20ft tall, how on earth can I use this.
Then I feel myself a bit light headed and to my surprise I speak some words which come to me from nowhere as I feel my soul being dragged towards the suit of armour.
"Soul Synchro Gigantis."
The soulless armour then reacts to the soul now inhabiting it, the colour of the armour takes on the colour of Soul Synchro including vain patterns and the amulet on the chest. As this is happening, the wings form from the back of the armour, looking more impressive.
Then I see the pair of dragons come towards my now larger body, I rise above them with my wings suddenly, which causes them to overshoot. I figure now that I am a bit bigger, I should be able to use some larger weapons. As I am thinking about it, In my hands appears to what for all intents and purposes is a enlarged AR-15. But this bad girl, is firing 75mm Tank Rounds. I bring the Tank Rifle to bear and shoot towards the pair of dragons.
As the round approaches the pair, it explodes just in front of them, knocking them back slightly in the air. I put the Tank Rifle on fully automatic. This gives it own set of problems, including the fact that I am receiving some of the kinetic kickback from the Tank Rifle.
Damm Newtons Laws of Physics. I look toward the Dragons and they look like they have been hit by 30 tanks simultaneously.
Meanwhile with Dawn
Damm, that worked. This Gigantis mode of mine, well it might be a mode for my sis, but I might have to wait for mine, that sucks.
But feel myself getting weak. It must be combination of the Soul Sychro via my sister. Also having to use it twice personally myself today.
I fall to the floor, my last thought is towards my sister, get them.
Back with Mary-Ann
I get this feeling of not good, wash over me. I then here from my sister faintly, get them.
Then I change weapons from a Tank Rifle, too a Pair of Plasma Cannons and fly quickly towards the dragons, firing as I get closer to them.
Better late than never.

This is my story of how my life changed for the better.
It began in the year 2010, gosh it seems so long ago. But as a part of my acceptance of what happened, I'm writing this so I can cope with it, well that’s what my Therapist says.
Oh I forgot, I should have mentioned my name, oopsie.
My name is Tanya Kaiba, that is not my birth name, but that is what this piece I am writing now is about.
My birth name is Sean Weston. Now you have realized reading this that my current name is female and my birth name is male.
This is where it gets interesting. How I got here; damn I forgot to mention the year, the year is 2995 as I am writing this piece in my holo diary.
Now back to 2010, when I was still male - I was a 24 year old male, average height, build somewhat of a lazy person who doesn’t exercise, ginger-ish hair and blue eyes. I had one passion in life, Yu-Gi-Oh card game/anime. I liked watching it and playing the card game. From time to time I would dream of various duels that happen with me being the main character; sometimes as a male and sometimes as a female - yes at the time I was undecided if I fit in the male gender - had odd thoughts that I would be better if I was female.
Enough about my gender shortcomings, as that would not be a problem for me much longer, as I would soon find out.
It was September 9th, when I decided to leave my house in the evening to go for a stroll around my local town. I walk around for a while, taking in the sights of the old place as it looks during the evening. I get this sudden feeling of dread, I could not place where this feeling was coming from, although I didn’t need to wait for long to find out what was causing this feeling.
For some reason I could see, hovering over the local car park a black cloud - yes a black cloud which was visible in the dark. Yeah, I know, sounds kinda stupid doesn't it. So my investigative nature overwhelmed my flight response to this situation. I went towards the car park and ascended inside the car park; at the time the stairs and lift were shut so I had go up through the car ramps to get to the top floor of the car park where I could see this black cloud.
Well it was more than a black cloud though, it was a 10 meter radius hemisphere of blackness which now I was close enough had purple in it as well. As I inched more closely to the funky dome of blackness, I was feeling waves flowing through me.
Had I known what was going to happen next I would have gotten the hell out of there, but as this is being written as a retrospective, you can kinda guess what happened next. So I got even closer till I could reach out and touch it and as I inched my hand closer to the surface of the hemisphere a tendril reached out from the sphere to touch my hand.
At first I was freaking out, well to be fair I was freaking out the moment I had reached the top of the car park, but by this point of time it became clear to me what was happening was not normal. Then as the tendril of blackness stroked me, it felt like something familiar - kinda like when you see something for the second time and it had been more that a few years between the viewings, then another tendril appears and seems to beckon me into the hemisphere.
That was the last time I remember things for a while - but the next thing I see is another chapter entirely.

Well the next bit of this story occurs over 985 years later, although I'm not sure how I got to this time.
The circumstances of my arrival were told to me by my adopted mother - Selina Kaiba. The following is from her point of view - some scenes recorded and transferred to this holo diary are not for the fainthearted.

Well I have managed to perfect the portable Duel Disk system, taking inspiration from the Duel Disk system of the Yu-Gi-Oh anime. I am pleased with the results, although I don't get as much time to duel anymore since becoming the head of Kaiba Corp.
Also, I've been busy setting up Duel Academy. But I feel that my life is incomplete; I'm a 26 year old woman who's very good looking, but is single and unable to have children due to an accident which caused me to become head of Kaiba Corp when my father and mother died in a hovercar accident but I survived.
So I have been getting broody...
"Energy signal detected"
"Computer pause and save recording"
Now what's caused this energy signal?
"EVA, elaborate on the location of the energy signal."
"Energy signal has been detected in Kaiba Corp. Duel Dome."
"What type of energy, EVA."
"Unknown Miss Kaiba, but I am reading intense energy pulses coming from the energy signal and 1 human bio signature."
Hmm, need to get Kaiba Corp. Security and Medical there immediately.
"Miss Kaiba, I have taken measures outlined in the Emergency Response Program, I have already dispatched security and medical personnel to the location."
"Please note I have also have begun lock down procedures."
"Nice thinking EVA, I'll be heading to the Kaiba Dome immediately."
So I head to the lift and down to the basement to my personal hovercar. I activate the autopilot system and head to the Kaiba Dome.
By the time I get to the dome, which takes 10 minutes even in the hovercar - even in this time there is still traffic, I can see that the dome is sealed off by my personal security force and medical personnel are there already.
The Stadium is set up like the old football stadiums of the first decade of the 21st century - able to hold multiple events. Instead of a grass or AstroTurf football pitch, which admittedly it can have put in, it pays to diversify and to have multiple streams of money available to pay for upkeep of stuff and also be able to hold dueling tournaments.
So it has the ability to have 16 duel arenas pop up, like the ones shown in Duelist Kingdom in the anime but also have grandstands like in tennis tournaments. But also I have had the stadium upgraded to be used in conjunction with my new portable Duel Disk system. So the Dueling Field is now laid out like tennis courts and corresponds with the dueling arena.
As I am thinking this, I arrive at the main doors to the stadium. I stop when one of my security addresses me.
"Miss Kaiba, we have secured the stadium and have ascertained that there is no one here accept us and the bio signature in the stadium itself."
"Thank you for the status report."
The guard then leaves me.
As I was talking to the guard waiting for me I put in my earpiece for the remote connection to the EVA system back at Kaiba Corp. HQ.
"EVA, has there been any change to the energy signature in the last 10 minutes?"
"Yes Miss Kaiba, It seems that the energy signature, while not exact, is similar to the Kaiba Corp. Dueling System."
"Wait, are you saying that there could be dueling happening in the energy signature?"
"While I can only be 80% sure Miss Kaiba, it may be similar to what Shadow Games are in the historical anime archives of the Duel Monsters."
Upon this bit of information given by EVA, I grab my prototype Duel Disk and load up my deck. "Miss Kaiba, I have detected that your Duel Disk has gone online."
"Yes it has EVA."
"Are you planning something which can only be explained by human feelings?"
"Yeah, I am."
"Good luck Miss Kaiba."
I then walk up to the doors to the stadium; the doors open due to the built in security regulator in my Duel Disk. As I walk in and go up the stairs into the main stadium it's then I see it.
I could see, over what is the center dueling arena; it was a 10 meter radius hemisphere of blackness which I could see from there that it was purple as well now due to the enhanced lighting in the stadium. As I inched closer to the hemisphere I could hear in my head screaming. So I headed into the sphere with no thought at all.
What happens next is another story. But it shows that there is more to dueling than simple holograms.

As soon as I entered into the blackish, purplish, sphere of screams, I see a large area of the same stuff.
I reach towards my earpiece.
"EVA, Can you read me."
"Yes Miss Kaiba, I cannot be sure how I'm receiving your signal, I am currently reading your location as unknown."
"Hmm, makes sense with what I can see in my current location. That it seems to appear as a separate dimensional space."
"ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH."
"EVA, I have to go."
"Yes Miss Kaiba."
I suddenly rush forward towards where I can feel I heard the screaming emanating from.
Then I see what no one should see. I see lying on the floor, a 24 year old male, but I see parts of his body with exposed organs, hell he's missing an eye too.
I approach him, but he seems to be totally out of it. As I touch his shoulder there is a static electricity spark between me and him.
But then I feel a wave of power go though me and get a feeling I am being watched. I rise up and see standing before me, what shouldn't exist — Skull Servant, with blood dripping down its mouth.
"Ah, fresh meat."
"Wait, did you do this, to this poor human being?"
"Yes, he wondered into this place by complete accident."
"And you thought he would be a nice snack."
"Yes."
"If you are what I think you are, then why didn't you allow him to defend himself?"
"Ah, you are very knowledgeable, as he was. Unfortunately he did not have the mediums needed to defend himself — he kept on saying I don't have my cards. Which I believe is your medium to play the game which me and my kind have inspired."
"But I have brought my cards with me." I raise my Duel Disk.
"Ah, then what do you intend to do?"
"Well, I want to duel you for 2 reasons."
"Hmm, you wish to duel me, so I shall. What are the 2 reasons you mentioned?"
"Well the first one is obvious, to get you to go away."
"The second?"
"To allow me and him, to leave this place."
"Agreed. Hmm how to duel you. Ah, that is it. I feel that you are comfortable with the rules of the place that this shadow dimension now resides."
"Yes."
"8000 Life Points, no time limit. Don't Worry he wont die, unique property of this place, time stands still."
"That's comforting."
I activate my duel disk, and a duel disk appears on the arm of the Skull Servant.
"Let's Duel/Lets Duel"
I draw my hand of 5 Cards and so does the Skull Zombie.
Selina Kaiba LP: 8000 — Skull Servant LP: 8000
"I shall go first as the Challenger."
Skull draws one card as he does at the start of the turn.
"I shall set a monster card, face down. I shall also set 2 cards face down. Your turn, mortal."
I draw one card.
"I shall set 3 cards face down."
"I also summon Vorse Raider in attack mode."
[Vorse Raider is a 4 Star, Dark Attribute, Beast-Warrior Monster, with 1900 Attack Points and 1200 Defense Points.]
"Vorse Raider attack his face down card with Wicked Axe Slash."
"You have revealed my monster, Pyramid Turtle." [Pyramid Turtle is a 4 Star, Earth Attribute, Zombie Monster, with 1200 Attack Points and 1400 Defence Points.] "Pyramid Turtle is destroyed by your Vorse Raider's attack, but his effect activates."
[When Pyramid Turtle is destroyed, it allows its controller to go through their deck and find any Zombie monster with 2000 or less Defense Points. The controller is then allowed to Special Summon that monster.]
Skull Servant looks through his deck. "I shall special summon Ryu Kokki in attack mode." [Ryu Kokki is a 6 Star, Dark Attribute, Zombie Monster with 2400 Attack Points and 2000 Defense Points. When Ryu Kokki attacks a Spellcaster or Warrior monster, that monster then is destroyed at the end of the Damage Phase.]
Skull Servant then shuffles his deck.
"I shall end my turn."

Skull Servant draws a card.
"I shall activate my face down card, Card of Safe Return." [Card of Safe Return is a Continuous Spell Card. Whenever a monster is special summoned to your side of the field from your graveyard, you may draw 1 card.]
"Ryu Kokki attack her Vorse Raider with Noxious Pounce."
"Sorry, but your attack won't hit my monster. I activate my face down card — Spellbinding Circle."
[Spellbinding Circle is a Continuous Trap Card. When this card is activated, select 1 monster. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, the selected monster cannot attack or change its battle position. When the selected monster is destroyed, this card is also destroyed.]
"So you have negated my attack, well then — I shall play 1 card face down. And end my turn."
"I draw."
"I play the spell card, Change of Heart." [Change of Heart is a Spell Card, which allows you to take control of a opponent's monster for one turn.]
"Now I tribute summon, by tributing Vorse Raider and your Ryu Kokki, to summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon." [Blue-Eyes White Dragon is an 8 Star Light Attribute Dragon Monster with 3000 Attack Points and 2500 Defense Points.]

"I shall activate a card from my hand, the spell card, Book of Life." [Book of Life is a Spell Card which allows its controller to Special Summon a Zombie Monster from their Graveyard, by removing an opponent's monster in their graveyard from play.]
"I shall select to revive my Pyramid Turtle in defense mode, and remove your Vorse Raider from play. I also activate the effect of my Card of Safe Return and draw one card."
"Well I shall activate my remaining face down card, Jar of Greed." [Jar of Greed is a Trap Card which allows its controller to Draw 1 Card from there deck.]
"I shall end my turn by placing 1 card face down."
"I draw."
"I shall summon Lord of Dragons in attack mode." [Lord of Dragons is a 4 Star Dark Attribute Spellcaster Monster with 1200 Attack Points and 1100 Defense Points]

"Wait, you don't mean you can have 2 more dragons without tributing?"
"Yes, and I special summon from my hand 2 more Blue-Eyes White Dragons."
"Well I shall activate Tribute to the Doomed." [Tribute to the Doomed is a spell card which is activated by discarding 1 card from your hand, when this is done Destroy 1 Monster on the field.]
"I discard 1 card from my hand, to use Tribute to the Doomed on your Pyramid Turtle."
"Now I Attack with my 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons, Triple White Lightning."
Selina Kaiba LP: 7000 — Skull Servant LP: 0
Everything disappears involving the duel, and Selina's Duel Disk goes to the standby position.
"Cough, Cough, You have won and as per our rules of engagement, you are free to leave with the male of your species and I shall go."
"But I feel the male will not be able to survive the damage I have done to him."
Skull Servant disappears, then I walk over to the male who is still screaming. I don't know what I need to do, I wish I could help him in any way I can. Then there's a flash of light and the shadowy arena disappears leaving me in the center duel court/arena with what was a 24 year old male who now looks like a 12 year old girl.
Now how do I explain this.

“EVA, tell security and medical personnel that it is safe to come into the stadium.”
“Yes, Miss Kaiba.”
I slump to the ground, damn that duel felt real. Could it have been a shadow duel, like in the anime?
I turn to look at the girl now laying on the floor who seems to be absolutely naked. She seems to be in a state of sleep and is breathing in and out fine.
Then I realized, looking at the girl, she has similar features to me. It could almost be that she has now become my daughter, although I need EVA to run the appropriate tests.
I take my long cloak off me, and cover the young girl with it. To preserve her dignity.
The medical personnel come in with the security guards flanking them. One of the medics approach me with the rest dealing with the young lady.
“Miss Kaiba, I need to check you for any injuries from your activities today.”
“The girl needs more attention than I do.”
“While I admire the selflessness of that statement, I believe you employ me to do my job.”
The medic gets out a medical scanner and scans me over. She looks at me, then the scanner.
“Miss Kaiba, you appear to have lost half of your total blood supply.”
“How could that happen, I feel fine?”
“Well, while you feel fine Miss Kaiba, you are not. Now would you let me give you the blood packs so I can restore your blood back to normal?”
“Yes, you can.”
I hate needles, I really do.
The medic then inserts enough needles into me to make me look like a hedgehog. Then she attaches blood packs to each one.
While this is going on, the girl whom I had covered up with my long cloak and the medical personnel who are treating her, bring out a hover patient board and place her on there and begin to take her out.
“Guys, you need to take here to my private medical suite at Kaiba Corp. HQ, she needs privacy.”
“Yes Miss Kaiba.”
“EVA, status report on stadium.”
“The stadium has not suffered any adverse effects; only personnel with any injuries are you and the girl you are bringing back home with you.”
“Thank you EVA, can you prep the medical suite?”
“I was already informed by the medical personnel, Miss Kaiba.”
“Ah, just making sure that it was prepared.”
The girl was arriving at the ambulance at this point. I was now completely refilled with blood and was allowed to go to the ambulance unaided.
“Miss Kaiba, I would like to make a suggestion.”
“Yes, EVA. What would this suggestion be?”
“If I was built correctly, I assume what your course of action is going to be in regards to this girl. I believe that you want to assume custody of the girl.”
“EVA, I did build you right and yes I want to have custody of the girl. I just feel that she is my daughter in my heart.”
“I shall get preparations under-way; I assume the name will have to wait.”
“Yes, I have a distinct feeling that she might have a name picked out for herself already. EVA, begin searching for personnel who can help with adjustment of this girl. Also send a request to Maxine Pegasus, for a meeting as soon as possible at Kaiba Corp. HQ.”
“Tasks are underway.”
Before I get into the ambulance, I activate my car's auto-parking feature to drive home and park in my space at Kaiba Corp. HQ. Then I get in the ambulance with the girl and strap myself in; damn I did not realize how much blood I lost. It takes 6 minutes to get back to the HQ.
One unique feature of the HQ is that the medical suite at Kaiba Corp. has a direct vehicle access for hover vehicles, so much faster than those old fashioned lifts. I know we have arrived when the back door is opened and I am beckoned to get out.
Which I do and the girl on the medical hover board is taken directly to the private suite. Well I have medical space for 12 people to be treated and also have a surgical theater and medical diagnosis facilities.
When I reach the suite, the female doctors who are on stand-by are there; they have already taken my long coat off and placed it to the side folded up. I notice one of the doctors is trying to talk to me. I tap my com-piece.
“Yes, Doctor Fanton?”
“Miss Kaiba, I have some good news.”
“What's that?”
“Congrats, it's a girl.”

"You only said that, 'cause it's funny."
"Well yeah I did, but as far as we can tell on a level 1 diagnostic, she's 100% female."
"Well she was male when I found her initially."

"Well after the duel I had, which was a shadow duel and used up some of my own life force in that duel."
"Wait, you mean shadow duels are real?"

"Back to the young lady."
"Well she had injuries to the chest, abdomen and one of her eyes was ripped out."

"Yeah, ouch indeed. Then I wished I could do something to help her and a flash of light happened and the 24 year old male I had found initially, became a 12 year old girl also coinciding with the shadow game area dissipating. So I think I had somehow with the power of the shadow realm, repaired her, but for some reason she became a female."
"Hmm, we have read some energies coursing through her, which we have matched to the energy readings which EVA had observed earlier. So without experimenting I would say they could have changed her genetic structure to female."
"Doc, when you have the chance, can you match some of her DNA to mine?"
"Why?"
"Well I have a theory why I lost so much blood. That whatever helped to heal her, took some of my blood to help replace her blood and change her body."
"Well from what we can tell, her body is average for a 12 year old girl on the onset of puberty."
"Damn that's going to be fun; teaching her about the female body. At least she was made an age where puberty had not set in yet."
"Well, good luck to you."
Then the doc went back to the girl. With the rest of the medical team helping they where beginning to conduct the level 2 diagnostic — body imaging, and blood tests.
"Miss Kaiba, I have received the message from Miss Pegasus, she has agreed to the meeting here at Kaiba Corp."
"Thank you, EVA. Oh can you send another message to Maxine, telling her to bring the card database and printing machines with her?"
"Message sent, Miss Kaiba. I am assuming you are asking this so we can give something to this girl when she wakes up and has adjusted."
"You're right there EVA, I have programmed you well."
"Well I am based on a neural print of yourself, Miss Kaiba."
"That's correct."
"Miss Kaiba, do you want me to start the procedures for the girl, to attend Duel Academy."
"Yes, although put it on the system as needing approval first. That way she can refuse this offer. EVA can you get her measurements from the medical database and start manufacturing Kaiba Corp. Duel Disk System no.002."
"Done, Miss Kaiba, time to completion of Duel Disk System — 12 hours."
"Good EVA, prepare a news blackout on the stadium."
"Already in place, Miss Kaiba — as per the Kaiba Dome Emergency Response Program. I assume you want to use the event to give the reason as it was being done as Emergency Response Exercise."
"Yes, that would be suitable."
Dr. Franton comes up to the window again.
"Miss Kaiba, level 2 tests are done. We can confirm that she is 100% female, down to the cellular level."
"Is my hypothesis correct?"
"Yes it is, she is genetically your daughter, it seems her previous male self was the genetic male half of the equation."
"I recommend that we move her to your private room here in the medical suite, so it's somewhere less threatening."
"I concur, I'll meet you there in a couple of minutes, I need to go and get changed and freshened up."
"Meet you in a few then, Miss Kaiba."
I head off to the elevator to my room which is right by the private suite of mine here in the Medical Suite. Then I proceeded once in my penthouse suite, to shed all my clothes — minus underwear - and head to the bathroom. While heading to the bathroom...
"EVA, do you think we need to sort a room out for the girl yet here in my penthouse."
"Maybe, Miss Kaiba — you do have several guest rooms here, I would recommend the one nearest your room, Miss Kaiba."
"Yes that would be a good idea, we can always have the room decorated at a later date, to suite her tastes."
I get to the bathroom, and strip off completely and take a nice shower. Then I get out of the shower and head to my room — there are so many advantages having one way privacy glass, being able to prance around naked.
I get to my room, and pick out bra and knickers, and decide on t-shirt and shorts also trainers to wear. So I can appear to be more approachable to the girl when she wakes up. Once dressed I head back down to the medical suite.
As I can see she had been put into my room, with no medical equipment attached to her. Doc must be sure that she's 100% healthy. So I sit down in the chair in the room, with my Duel Disk next to me — which was moved here from the ambulance. I take out my deck from the duel disk, pull over the swing table to over by the chair, and set my deck on it.
I look through my deck for my 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons and lay them in front of the deck. Damn I have been lucky today. If it wasn’t for these 3 guys turning up at the right time. I don’t know what would have happened. As I think that, I hear 3 Calls of the Blue-Eyes White Dragons. Its almost if they approve of how I used them today.
Then I hear moaning from the bed.
"Damn what happened to me." I look around and see that I am in a private room which could be at a hospital. Then I see a woman sitting in a seat next to my bed, with a Duel Monsters deck in front of her and 3 Blue-eyes White Dragons.
"Who are you."
"I'm the person who found you."
"Oh, the last thing I remember I was being dragged into a sphere of black-purple stuff."
"Ah so you do not remember meeting anything weird."
"No.." she shudders. "Actually now that you said it, I though I met a real-life Duel Monster.... No that didn’t happen did it?"
I get up from my seat and stand next to her, I give her a hug.
"Yes it did happen to you, I found you in such a bad state."
"It started to attack me, the Skull Servant. When I couldn’t defend myself — I didn’t have my dueling deck with me."
"I saved you, from that Skull Servant."
"Thank you, but wait a second, I feel wrong."
"You do?"
"Yeah, I feel something's missing."
"Ah, seeing as you know about Duel Monsters, the area you were in was a Shadow Realm Arena."
"I though I recognized it, but that’s from an anime I watch."
"Oh, what is the year then?"
"Well its September 9th 2010."
"Ah, your not in 2010 any more."
"I'm not?"
"No. You're now in August 1st 2995."
"I have time traveled though the Shadow Realm?"
"Yes, it appears you have."
"Oh, so how am I now feeling fine?"
"Well I sort of wished to help you. But there was a side effect."
"What kind of side effect."
"Well to put it bluntly as possible. You are a 12 year old girl now."
"I'm WHAT?!"

"That can't be the only thing you lived for."
"I was an outcast back in 2010; I was a guy who was not sure that they were a guy or a girl."
"At least you get to be a girl now."
"Yeah, but who is going to be looking after a 12 year old girl, that their only comfort in life is Duel Monsters?"
"Well you know I just told you what happened to me, when I wished to help you in anyway possible?"
"Yeah, my memory is not that bad you know."
"Well it seems with the use of my blood and bone marrow, in rebuilding you, you have become my daughter."
"You sure on that?"
"Well they haven’t done complete workup yet of your blood. But if I'm correct you're now technically your own daughter, with your male DNA being the father."
"That is cool."
"Why are you so cool with that?"
"I am in the body I wanted, I always wanted to be a girl."
"Wait, you mean you're transgender of some form?"
"Yeah."
"Well, seeing as you are my daughter by all rights, do you want to live with me?"
"Yeah, seeing as you play Duel Monsters." I point to her deck and the 3 laid out Blue-Eyes.
"I do dabble in the card game."
"You more than dabble." I point towards the duel disk.
"Ah, I see you noticed that."
"Yeah."
"Well that’s the first duel disk to be created."
"Oh, you only have duel arenas?"
"Yeah, but those were developed by me and a friend of mine."
"Who is this friend of yours?"
"Maxine Pegasus, CEO of Industrial Illusions."
"Wait, you mean someone has become a real-life version of Pegasus from the anime/manga?"
"Well, a female version."
"Wait, is there a version of Seto Kaiba here? And also Kaiba Corp?"
"Yes, there is."
"Wait."
"Yeah, what is on your mind?"
"You have just said to me, your friend is Maxine Pegasus. And the fact you helped in building the duel arena's. Must mean you're the head of Kaiba Corp."
"I am, and to formally introduced myself, I am Selina Kaiba — CEO of Kaiba Corp. Also, it seems, genetically your mother."
"Yeah, well I was Sean Weston, but I think that would not be any use anymore."
"Yeah, so you have a name you want now?"
"Well I think Tanya would suit me."
"Tanya, Tanya Kaiba — nice to meet you."
Doctor Franton turns up in the room.
"Ah, I see she's awake."
"I have chosen a name, doc."
"Oh, what is it?"
"Tanya, Tanya Kaiba — I want Selina to be my adopted mum — I feel getting me as her natural daughter would be difficult to explain."
"Selina, you feel you're ready to be a mum?"
"Yeah, I am."
"Well, the stage 3 tests are done. It's as we thought, Tanya's genetically 100% female and is expected to live a full, natural female life."
"You mean full female bodily functions, Doc?"
"Yes, I expect puberty to start soon."
"Cool, so when can I get out of this place and getting up to speed with 30th Century Technology?"
"Well now, really."
"Well before I get out of here can I get some clothes?"
"Miss Kaiba, I have already gotten some mufti clothes ordered."
"EVA, sometimes it's scary what you do."
"I know."
"Wait, you have AI’s?"
"Yep, this one is unique though."
"Well, Miss Kaiba and Tanya I'll be leaving you to your business, you can both reach me via the Kaiba Corp. communications network."
So Doctor Franton leaves. Then there is a knock at the door.
"Come in."
"Miss Kaiba, package of clothes here for the young girl."
I get up, and go over and get the package from one of the security people and then he leaves.
"Well, you think you'll be able to change your clothes, Tanya?"
"Yeah."
I bring the clothes package over to the bed, pick up all of my deck and duel disk.
"Well I have everything, if you need any help — just say 'call Selina' — and the system will call me up."
"Nice."
I leave the room and head back up to my place.
"Well lets get myself into some stuff then."
I get changed into the clothes which had been ordered by the AI — EVA, they fit rather nicely. No shoes though but there are socks. So once I have gotten everything on:
"EVA?"
"Yes, Tanya."
"Well, I am changed, were do I go now?"
"Well, if you wait a moment I have the lift next to the suite down here ready for you. Have not got all the systems updated with you on there yet."
"Thank You, EVA."
"Pleasure to help, Miss Kaiba."
"Can you call me Tanya, so no confusion happens between me and Selina?"
"Noted, Tanya. The lift is now down and ready for you."
"Okay."
I leave the suite, and head to the elevator which is next door. Then I enter it, and the doors then close.
"Tanya I have activated the elevator to go to the Penthouse — Arrival in 5 Seconds."
It arrives quickly and the doors open, it's a massive penthouse and I see Selina come out of what I suppose to be her room, with one difference — a deck holder on her belt
I step out. Then she gestures to the sofa and we both sit down.
"Tanya, you managed to get up here fine."
"Yeah, I notice you carry your deck with you."
"Yeah, makes me feel safe."
"Cool, so what now?"
"Well I have to get EVA to finish registering you as my adoptive daughter, fit a room here to be yours, get you your duel deck here in 2995 and also get you registered for the first year of Duel Academy which is starting this year."
"Wait, I'll be going to Duel Academy?"
"Yeah, and it's like in the anime, separated into dorms."
"So you want me to go there as a student."
"Yep, and you'll be an Obelisk Blue and you don't have to do the entrance exam seeing as you know duel monsters."
"True, so with you only just building the duel disks, you holding the entrance exams at the Kaiba dome which you own."
"Yeah."
"I still want to do the exam."
"Wait, why?"
"So I know that I am capable of passing."
"So you want it as an exhibition match, but not for the tester to know?"
"Yeah."
"Okay, that works."
"How long before the entrance exam?"
"3 Weeks. That should give me enough time to produce enough duel disks."
"So when will I be getting mine?"
"Well, about 10 hours or so."
"Cool, so it'll be a similar one to yours or what the dual academy ones are going to be?"
"Like mine, in every aspect."
"Cool."
"Miss Kaiba, Miss Pegasus is about 5 minutes away."
"Thank you, EVA."
"Wait, she's coming here Selina?"
"Yeah, I need to get her approval for the duel disks and she's bringing something along for you."
"Cool."
"So you feel up to meeting another CEO?"
"So you want me to meet the head of Industrial Illusions? Oh, yes I do."

"Well she should, I would like to see the look on her face when you match her on knowledge of the card game though."
"That would be funny to see. So if Miss Pegasus is the head of Industrial Illusions and is based upon the Pegasus I know from the card game — does she have the portable card making machine?"
"She does, and she is bringing it here. That is what I was referring to as something for you — plus some other things too. But I don't know what she could be bringing along with her."
"Okay, I assume she has her deck with her though?"
"Yeah, I think you might know what type, too."
"Toons."
"Yeah, although I don't like the fact she has a Toon version of my Blue-Eyes white dragon." I pout.
"Well, she's gonna have 2 Toon version's of cards in my old deck, Toon Dark Magician Girl and Toon Gemini Elf."
"So you remember what was in your deck?"
"Yeah, I do."
"Miss Kaiba, Miss Pegasus has arrived. She is taking the express elevator up to the penthouse."
"Thank you, EVA."
We turn around to look at the doors, then they open and out steps a 32 year old women , with black hair, wearing a t-shirt and jeans, trainers and carrying 2 cases.
She comes over to the seating area and sits down in the single seat, placing the cases on the table in front of her.
"Ah, Selina. Nice to be invited once more to Kaiba Corp."
"Nice to have you over Maxine."
Maxine turns to face Tanya.
"Ah, who's this young girl, is she one of the employee's daughters who has escaped their parents and has ended up here with the CEO?"
"No, Tanya here is something which requires a bit of explaining but for now I can say she's gonna be my daughter."
"Wait, you decided to adopt this young girl?"
"Yeah, I was getting broody."
"Ah, so Tanya how's your day been?"
"Crazy, but I have met on the same day, the 2 people who are the controlling interests in Duel Monsters."
"Yes, that is true."
Then 3 noises comes out from one of the cases, powerful sounding noises.
"Did anyone hear that noise?"
"Yes/Yes."
"It's different from the Blue-Eyes call I heard earlier."
"Wait, you heard my 3 Blue-Eyes calling out?"
"Yeah I did, Selina."
"Wait, this is unprecedented."
"Well Maxine, the Shadow Realm is real."
"It is?"
"Yeah, I rescued Tanya from there. A Shadow Realm appeared in the Kaiba Dome about 3 hours ago."
"Oh."
"Well I had to do a Shadow game though, luckily," I pick up my duel disk. "I had this with me."
"Ah, you finished the prototype Duel Disk."
"Yeah."
The noise comes out again from one of the boxes.
"Maxine what have you brought along with you?"
"Ah, the extra surprise."
"Well I have managed to create the 3 strongest Duel Monsters in the history of the anime, in reality."
"Wait, Miss Pegasus, you have not made the 3 Egyptian God Cards, have you?"
"You can call me Maxine dear Tanya, and yes I have."
She opens the smaller of the 2 boxes and takes out another box which is big enough to have 3 cards side by side.
"Bear in mind, these are going to be the only 3 in existence."
"Ah, you decided to take the same precaution the anime Pegasus did."
"Yes."
Maxine then puts both of the bigger boxes on the floor and then opens the Egyptian God Card box, then we all hear the 3 cries of the Egyptian God Cards.
"That sounds so beautiful."
"Yeah it does."
"Well, Tanya, what do you think should be done with these 3?"
"Hmm, well if they are going to be like they should be, they should only be used by someone with the right spirit."
"My thoughts exactly. The reason I have brought the god cards with me is that I made a promise to Selina that I would show any new cards to her first."
"But I think Selina is not the right holder of these cards."
"Yes, but what about you?"
"You want someone you only just met to hold the 3 most powerful cards in all Duel Monsters?"
"Yes, I can tell you have the right attitude."
Then I walk over to the cards.
Slifer the Sky Dragon, Obelisk the Tormentor and The Winged Dragon of Ra — the most powerful cards in all of duel monsters, and if I was correct these guys are not just the cards but also focuses for the real versions of these cards.
"I'll take them, but only on one condition."
"What is that Tanya?"
"I only use them when I want to. I don't want to flaunt them."
"Sensible outlook, Tanya — I also have this." she pulls out a necklace with a Duel Monster card holder on it. "This card holder will protect these cards regardless of conditions."
She hands the Necklace over to me, I put it on, but currently leave the cards in the box.
"I take it, I get the box too?"
"Yeah." I pick the box up and close it, and put it on my lap.
"Well Maxine, want to give my daughter her other present?"
"Ah, yes." She brings up the bigger case. "This case here is something which is a close secret of mine and Selina's. Also now yours."
Maxine opens the case and there is what can only be described as a miniature printing press.
"Wait, is that a portable Duel Monster card press?"
"How astute of you, Tanya."
"I was asked to bring this along as a favor to Selina."
"Well Tanya, I wanted you to have the opportunity to rebuild your Duel Monsters deck."
"Oh, cool."
"EVA, link up Holo Interface and Card Database to the IL Mini Press."
"Already done Miss Kaiba."
Then in front of me, 2 holographic screens appear, one which is a card database, the other is a deck window.
"I take it, this works with using my finger movements to move the appropriate card from the card database to the deck window?"
"Yep, and don't forget there are filter windows."
"Well this might take a while guys."
"Take all the time you need Tanya Kaiba, me and your mother Selina will be in her office discussing some important business. Oh, there is no limit on how many cards apart from I only have card stock for 400 cards here."
"Wow, I don't think I'll be building more than 2 decks anyhow."
"Well it's there if you need it. Shall we go into the office, Selina?"
"Yeah, and oh Tanya, I'll leave the door open so you can shout to me."
They get up and go to what looks like a very nice door, with her name on it and enter. At least she doesn't have to go far from home to work. I notice the door is left ajar enough.
"EVA."
"Yes, Tanya."
"Can I get some food I am rather peckish."
"What would you like to eat."
"Hmm, do you have a visual database for the kitchen?"
"We do, Tanya. I'm opening a new holo-screen now."
I look at the holo-screen which has overlaid and put the card/deck screens to the back, that's cool. I look through the database and order a pint of Coke, chips, and spicy breaded chicken.
"Order acknowledged, order will be done in 30 minutes."
"Oh EVA, can you order for Maxine and Mum their normal drinks, I assume you have this on record?"
"Yes I do, should I include a note saying you ordered this for them?"
"Yeah, that would be a good idea."
The food screen disappears and I continue building my deck. When I get to selecting the mainstay monster I imagine it in front of me. Along with the 3 Egyptian God Cards. I get a feeling of approval from their spirits.

Overall it takes me 30 minutes to make my original deck.
Once I'm finished, one of the staff arrives with my lunch.
"Thank you."
"Your welcome, Tanya."
"Wait, did EVA already input me on the system as Tanya Kaiba?"
"Yes, she has."
"Ah, cool. Don't you think you should get the drinks to my Mum and Maxine Pegasus?"
"Oh, I should."
She lays my food and drink down on the table next to the card machine. Then proceeds to take the drinks and note to my Mum's office. She knocks.
"Yes?"
"Miss Kaiba, I have been instructed to deliver these drinks to you."
"Oh. Bring them in."
I see one of the kitchen staff enter, with a tray with 2 drinks and a note. The drinks I noticed are mine and Maxine's regular drinks. She sets down the tray and sets the drinks and note out. Then she leaves.
"Well Selina, who’s got us the drinks this time?"
I pick up the note.
"Well Maxine, it seems." I read the note. "Well well, it seems Tanya got the drinks for us."
"That's thoughtful of her."
"Well." I pop my head out. "Tanya thank you for the drinks you got me and Maxine."
"Yeah, thought I should get some drinks while I ordered food."
"Good thought."
"Well I'll leave you to your discussion." I sit back down.
"Well Maxine, what do you think of the Duel Disk system?"
"It shall bring dueling to the masses."
"Good, so do I have the go ahead for the production of the Duel Disks?"
"Yes."
"That’s good then, I have already started on Tanya's Duel Disk."
"Oh, where's mine?"
"Miss Pegasus, yours is underway."
"EVA, you already started?"
"Yes, Miss Kaiba. I anticipated your actions and started on Miss Pegasus' Duel Disk."
"Well Selina, how long until I get my duel disk?"
"Miss Pegasus, it will be 11 hours."
"That is good."
Meanwhile, back with Tanya...
"Hmm, what to do now?"
I look over at my deck; it will serve me well. Wait a sec, I have the opportunity to build another deck — hmm.
I start using the deck machine to build a deck idea of mine. I do find out that 8 cards I want for this deck have not been issued yet.
A few hours pass, and I'm completely absorbed in building my second deck and checking out what cards are available. The passage of time is brought to bear when I hear coughing.
I look up, and see Maxine and Mum setting down, chatting and looking at me occasionally.
"Oh, how long you been there Mum?"
"Been here for 2 hours."
"Oh, sorry, got a bit absorbed in building my deck."
"Don’t worry, I have had the same thing when building my deck."
"Same thing here as well, Tanya."
"Oh, cool. So anything you want to tell me?"
"Well, Maxine is allowing the duel disks to go ahead, which means duel academy will be getting them."
"Cool, will they be different to the ones me and you have, mum."
"Yes, Maxine is getting one like ours."
"Cool."
"Yes, very much so."
"So you think people will adapt to this way of dueling?"
"Yes."
"So the entrance exams for the Duel Academy are later on this month; will the duel disks be used in the examinations?"
"Yes."
"Cool, I have my 2 decks ready now, Mum."
"Oh?"
"Oh, what decks have you built Tanya?"
"Well, I have built 2 decks inspired by monsters which Yugi Moto has used in the anime."
"You do not mean?"
"Yep, Dark Magician and Exodia."
"Ah, I take you noticed that Exodia has not been released yet?"
"Yeah, but also taking the other 2 Exodia monsters, too."
"Oh, going for theme there then, daughter?"
"Mum, that’s the first time you have called me daughter."
"Oh, sorry dear, I'm getting used to being a mother."
"How touching."
"Shut up, Maxine."
"I was only jesting."
"I know that."
"Well, Mum, Maxine I have decided I'll use an Egyptian god card in the entrance exam I'll be doing, which is an exhibition match — except the examiner won't know it or that I am a Kaiba, either. But the problem is how do we explain how I have them?"
"Well, we could always say that you impressed me with some dueling spark and also card ideas."
"That could work, Maxine."
"Yeah, so which one you going to use then?"
"I’m not sure, either Obelisk, which is my dorm colour and the first god card featured in the anime, or Winged Dragon of Ra and use the chant — well I have to use the chant due it being an actual duel monster."
"Hmm, I would say Obelisk, but I am a Kaiba."
"Yeah, that’s true Mum. But Ra is more impressive."
"Yeah, I would agree with Tanya, Ra would be more impressive — plus it has all its abilities, including secret ability."
"Oh that will be fun to use. I hope using the LP one won't reduce my body at the same time."
"It should not do, considering it has chosen you, and you're summoning it in a non-shadow game."
"True, better say bless our humble game then."
"Yeah/Yeah."
"Cool."
"So, you think you need some duel practice then Tanya?"
"Yeah, but only doing it inside Kaiba Corp."
"Yeah, do not want people to realize you have some powerful cards."
"Yeah, plus I want to see if I can do some freaky shadow magic. You never know, I might be able to summon duel monsters in reality."
"That would be cool, but don’t try to summon the 3 Egyptian god cards or Exodia in any of its forms."
"Yeah, that would be bad juju."
"Yes, I would not want to have to explain that one to my board of directors at Industrial Illusions."
"So the first time you see me dueling will be at Kaiba Corp. Dome."
"Yes, oh Tanya?"
"Yes, Maxine?"
"You can have the card printer, as a present from me to you. But remember you must ask for any cards which haven’t been released yet."
"Thank you Maxine."
I go over and hug her.
"You going to be there Maxine, for the examination duels?"
"Yes I will."
"Cool, so I'll be ready to say in a month: It's time to duel!"

August 29th 2995 — Holo-Diary Entry 2
Well it has been 28 days since I have arrived here in the 30th century.
I am only writing this entry now, cause I have been so busy. I have had to get used to now being in a female body, which includes all the female bodily functions. Yes I have had my first period; now that was a shock but I am used to it now.
Well after I had a good night's sleep after that first day, Mum or Selina Kaiba as she is known, took me shopping the next day. Apparently overnight I have had a new identity constructed and that now makes me Tanya Kaiba, daughter of Selina Kaiba. Damn EVA moves quick.
Well I was spoiled for choice on shopping, Mum took me to around all of the shops, so I now have my own fully kitted out wardrobe. Which is neat; also got my Duel Academy uniform as well in the month which has passed.
Oh, Mum decided to give me a job at Kaiba Corp. She made me VP in Dueling Technology — so I get to give my opinion on any dueling product developed by Kaiba Corp. SO awesome.
Mum took me to meet the head of duel academy — Franton Sheppard. When she found out that Mum now had a daughter, me, she freaked out. Once she had calmed down, we explained the idea for the entrance exam I would be taking, she agreed with the fact I would be dueling as Tanya Weston not Tanya Kaiba.
Also at the same time, we had taken some of the new Duel Disks to the meeting to show Mrs. Sheppard. She was impressed and agreed with what we had already figured out that would make dueling so much better.
After we finished there, nothing much happened over the next few weeks, apart from my first psychologist session. Brr I hate mind shrinks.
But something I did discover over the month, I am connected to the shadow realm now. I can't summon a duel monster yet, but I can summon a shadow realm pocket and also detect the stuff, although poor EVA, still can't figure out the shadow realm.
Oh well, I have to finish here, cause I’m about to go to the Kaiba Dome for the entrance exam for Duel Academy.
Holo-Diary Entry 2 — Ends
I get up from my nice comfy bed, and get dressed in jeans and tank top combo, pick up deck holders and attach them to the belt on my jeans. One on each hip, then I place my Exodia deck in my left deck holder. I pick up my Dark Magician deck, I pick up one of the god cards and put it in the deck, then put the deck in my right deck holder.
Then I take the 2 remaining god cards and put them in the card holder necklace, which I then put on around my neck. Then from the table nearest my bed which now has my duel disk resting on it, I strap it on my left arm.
Then I pick up my communication ear piece, and then head out of my room, to see Mum and Maxine there waiting for me.
"Hi, Mum. Hi Maxine. You giving me a lift to Duel Dome?"
"Yeah."
"Well shall we get there, so I can see my fellow classmates?"
We head over to the lift in the penthouse; I notice now that both Maxine and my Mum are wearing their duel disks. We head down to the parking level.
Then we stride out along the parking level — till we get to one of the Kaiba Corp. hover limos and we all get in the back. If I did not say that I was nervous at this point I would be lying. It takes 10 minutes to reach the Kaiba Dome. It looks more impressive now, with all of the activity for the Duel Academy entrance exams going on, than it did when mum took me to see it last week.
We park in the VIP area, and we all get out. The nice thing is being VIP, is that Mum can have it that there are no cameras covering us getting out and getting to the building. Also the fact is with people under the age of 16, the exams won't be recorded by anyone who isn’t Kaiba Corp. or Duel Academy staff.
Although my exam is going to be filmed, cause it won't be an exam but an ideal opportunity to show what gift I now have. But this gives me the same pressure as if I was doing a proper exam.
We walk towards the building. Mum and Maxine go in the VIP entrance, I wave to them, they wave back. I head to the front entrance to sign up. I knew already I would be last to be examined, so I get in the queue. I begin hearing the conversation in front of me.
"Well I hope I get in this year."
"You should, I think they need the numbers."
"Yeah, I agree with you on that one."
"Well at least we get the duel arenas."
I snigger.
"You have something to contribute girl?"
"Yeah, I do."
"Then what is it?"
"Well I can say that the testing is going to be slightly different."
"Oh, how do you know that?"
I raise my Duel Disk to be across my flattish chest.
"Cause I have been the lucky person testing this piece of kit."
"What is that."
"Kaiba Corp. Duel Disk System Alpha Model, entire dueling functions on your arm."
"COOOOL."
"Yeah."
"So how did you get picked?"
"I sent a letter to Industrial Illusions, saying how I liked the game. Then I got chosen to take part in a joint Industrial Illusions and Kaiba Corp. private testing project."
"You lucky, I notice you have 2 Decks."
"Yeah, only using my main deck though."
"Cool."
We advance in the queue into the main entrance and I enter in as Tanya Weston. Then we are shown by the security, who do give a raised eyebrow look at me, to the main arena and put into the stands.
By the looks of it, they have set nine of the dueling arenas out, with the stands surrounding the nine, so I take up a seat and wait.
A few hours go and its time for my examination. I look up at the VIP box; there I see Mum, Maxine and Principal Sheppard in the box, they all look at me and then I get up and head to the floor so I get to the duel arena.
As I head down, my Kaiba Corp. comm link lights up, I put it in my ear.
"Its Mummy."
"Yes mummy, I am just on my way to the arena."
"Yes, I know, I want to wish you luck. As does Maxine. So I'll see you soon k?"
"Thank you, Mummy."
I put the com-link back in my jeans, and head to the center duel arena. I walk in to the arena, and I feel the glare on me, from all of the people surrounding the arena. I see Mum in the VIP box with Maxine. Where is Principal Sheppard?
Then I turn to see across from my position on the dueling field. It's Principal Sheppard with a Duel Disk on her arm.
"Well, Miss Weston. It seems you are lucky enough to have the Principal of the Duel Academy administer your entrance exam."
"Yes, I'm highly honored."
"Well, shall we?"
We both activate our duel disks. I put in my DM deck into the deck slot, Mrs. Sheppard inserts her deck in her deck slot on her Duel Disk.
"Well, what are the rules for this examination?"
"Well, 8000 LP, no time limit."
The crowd grasps.
"I take it you're using your personal deck then Principal?"
"Yes, I am."
"Then shall we?"
"Yes."

"Well Principal Sheppard, I feel the duel is going to be won this turn."
"Oh, let's see this happen."
"Well then, I sacrifice Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl and Gemini Elf in order to summon the following monster."
"Wait, you're making a triple offering?"
"Yes, almighty protector of the sun and sky, I beg of thee please heed my cry, transform thyself from orb of light, and bring me victory in this fight, I beseech thee grace our humble game, but first I shall call out thy name."
What is she calling out with that chant?

The arena starts to shake, and clouds start to form above the dueling field. Then a golden orb starts to descend onto the Dueling Arena.
"What is that?"
"It's one of the most powerful Duel Monsters to exist."
"Wait, where did you get that from?"
It begins to transform.
"I got it from the head of Industrial Illusions, Maxine Pegasus."
"Wait ,why did she give you a card?"
"She did not give it to me, it chose me."
"Wait, you're saying the card chose you?"
"Yes."

Winged Dragon of Ra turns to look at Tanya.
"I know this was not a life or death battle, but I have to had used you before now so I know how to deal with it."
It nods then disappears. Then the Duel Disks shut down.
"Well Miss Weston."
"Well, that’s not true."
"Oh?"
"Well my full name is Tanya Weston Kaiba."
A roar goes out from the crowd.
"Yes I am the adoptive daughter of Miss Kaiba, head of Kaiba Corp."
"Well then, Miss Kaiba. I am proud to announce that you have passed your examination and are to be placed in Obelisk Blue."
The crowd starts to clap.
"Well I accept."
From this day I am Tanya Weston Kaiba, Obelisk Blue and daughter of Selina Kaiba and tomorrow I head to Duel Academy.

I take in the applause which is still going on around the arena. Then I see my Mum and Maxine appear on the Duel Arena floor with the other exam passers in front of them.
We are gestured to line up. With Principal Sheppard, Maxine and Mum in front of the gathered students. Then the Principal speaks.
"Well Duel Academy entrants, you stand here as the first intake of students into Duel Academy. I need to explain the dorms."
"The dorms are named after the 3 most powerful cards in duel monsters, 1 of which you have seen today. The dorms are Slifer Red, Ra Yellow and Obelisk Blue. These dorms are different in how they are laid out."
"The Slifer Red is like dorm rooms of old, has 3 students per dorm room. With a toilet in the room and separate shower block for male and female. Ra Yellow is a singular dorm room with a toilet and also has separate shower block for male and female. Obelisk Blue is a hotel room with toilet and shower/bath."
"You have been placed according to academic and dueling prowess into each of the 3 dorms. There will be opportunity to go from Slifer Red to Ra Yellow, Ra Yellow to Obelisk Blue, but this depends on academic and dueling success. There are exceptions: for instance, some students will be automatically Ra Yellow or Obelisk Blue if they have a medical reason to be not sharing with other students."
"I will confirm now that, Tanya Weston Kaiba is an Obelisk Blue. This is due to her dueling Prowess and the fact she has the personal recommendation of Miss Pegasus. Also the fact she has had the best private tutors, so her academic record is not in doubt."
"I will say this, if you have an objection with this, please make it in writing to me when we get to Duel Academy."
"Dueling at the Academy, will be monitored via the Duel Disks which you all will be issued with." Gestures to the one on her arm. "Although Tanya Kaiba will be keeping her Duel Disk as it's one of the main prototypes and has been given to her by her mother. Duels will be allowed at any time at Duel Academy, but academic work must come first and no duels can be done during class time, unless it's Duel Class."
"Dueling will also be available as a tool to solve disputes at the dueling academy. Another note is that we have an on-site medical facility courtesy of Kaiba Corps. medical division, and also having one of the Kaiba corp. medics joining us."
"Now on to a main point, relationships, as you are 11 to 12 year olds, are to be kept to what 11 to 12 should have as relationships. But I will say this, nothing beyond kissing and holding hands is allowed."
"Now, when you are dismissed, you are to go to changing rooms here so you can get your clothing measurements done. Tanya Kaiba your measurements are already done, I think you know how this was done, but you can be there to support the female students."
"But, Miss Kaiba of Kaiba Corp. and Miss Pegasus would like to say a few words."
Principal Sheppard stands back and both Mum and Maxine step forward, and Maxine speaks first.
"Well Duel Academy students, this is a unique opportunity. You get to shape as the first students how the Duel Academy should work. Also you give the Duel Disk system its real world test."
"As you want to know, the duel academy duel disk is the same for all students with duel disks in dorm colours as edging around the hub of the duel disk. Tanya here will keep her prototype Duel Disk as a favor from me and Miss Kaiba for helping us test the duel disk system when we where still developing it."
"I now yield, to Miss Kaiba here."
Maxine steps back and Mum steps forward.
"Well I hope you liked the duel disks which you used today. I have had a time developing these. But I am pleased with the results. I am announcing today officially that I have appointed someone to be Vice-President of Dueling Technology. This means that they are responsible for the testing of any new dueling products."
"This Duel Academy is an all time school — that all of your time will be spent there during term time. You will be allowed to go back home during holidays, you are allowed to leave the school during term time if there is a sufficient personal reason."
"Now, I expect you all to treat my daughter with respect, not to hound her. You may even be friends with her once you have been to duel academy for a while."
"So let's get you to the changing rooms to get measured."
We then head off to the changing rooms to get fitted for our school clothes. I see that some of the girls have already developed breast tissue, not much mind you but makes me think when I get mine to start growing.
Oh well, can't wait. Ah, I see Doctor Fanton is here and is waiting to administer medical tests, but no girl is going forward, so I go up.
"Doctor Fanton."
"Ah Tanya, how are you feeling today?"
"As well I can expect to be, with the dueling and all."
"So, you come up for medical exam to put the other girls at rest?"
"Yeah."
"Well come up then."
I go up to doctor Franton with her Medical booth. I’m already in my underwear so I step in to the booth, and I am scanned.
It is over in 30 seconds, and I step out.
"So Doc, any problems? Compared to my scan last week?"
"Yes, a bit of iron problem but that is to be expected with what you did today."
"Ah, give me the tablet doc."
She hands me the tablet which she had with her. I pick up the drink on the table and take the tablet and then take it there and then.
I go back to the bench with my clothes on it, and a girl comes up to me.
"Excuse me?"
"Yes?"
"I just wondering what that tablet you took was?"
"An iron tablet, for a medical problem I get some times."
"Oh, I did not introduce myself, I am Saless, Obelisk Blue."
"I am Tanya Weston Kaiba, Obelisk Blue."

"Ah, well I see you're a spell caster duelist."

I see Saless walk off to the measuring area. I decide to leave them to it, due to the fact I have had already completed the necessary steps for entry to duel academy when I woke up in this new body.
I head outside the changing room and put in my Kaiba Corp. comm.
"EVA?"
"Yes Tanya?"
"Current location of my Mum."
"Current location is VIP lounge here at the Kaiba Dome."
"Thanks, EVA."
"You're welcome Tanya."
I head up to the VIP lounge. As I reach the door, I feel a pain, not unlike being burned. It seems to be all-over, I collapse to my knees. I look down and see a field of energy on my hands, which then I look to see to be covering the majority of my front. Then I feel slight breeze which makes me look up and I am not in the hallway outside the VIP lounge any more.
I get up, seeing as the pain has passed. I see surrounding me a vast white expanse, well I am not in Kansas any more.
"Is there anyone there?"
I see in front of me a glimmering shape — a purplish tinge I suppose. It begins to collate into a more solid form. I blink my eyes a couple of times, 'cause what I'm seeing can't be real.
But as the case has been with me lately, it seems to be true more than not.
It's Pharaoh Atem from Yu-Gi-Oh card game and manga.
"Tell me, I am not dreaming?"
"No, you're not."
"So, why am I here?"
"Well, do you know what happened to you when your mother rescued you from that pocket of the shadow realm?"
"Yeah, I have been told."
"Well when she wished to help in anyway she could to save you, I helped."
"In what way."
"I sensed that you have a great power residing in you, one which has not been seen since I was alive."
"Wait, you really exist?"
"Yes."
"But, wait, the manga/anime?"
"Ah, I can explain that. It was a part of a plan on my part to ensure that someone could defend the world vs. the oncoming evils of the shadow realm."
"Oh, so wait, you gave these ideas to the creator of Duel Monsters card game back in my original time, so you could make sure someone could defend the planet? Plus, I think you influenced my Mum and Maxine Pegasus to bring the defenses up to actual holograms and duel disk systems."
"Yes, how astute of you."
"So back on to how you helped."
"Well, I decided that to save you, I had to use all of my power which would not make me dissipate and transform you."
"Am I still human?"
"Yes, well you do now have duel spirit residing in you and you have the ability to control the shadow realm and its magic."
"Oh, what is the shadow realm duel spirit residing in me then?"
Then I see a pinkish aura near Atem appear. It begins to take shape, I begin to recognize it. It's Dark Magician Girl but it's not the card but it's Mana in her duel spirit form.
"Hello, Tanya."
"Hello, Mana."
"Ah, Pharaoh — she is a follower."
"Yes, she is Mana."
"So, I have Mana as my Duel Spirit?"
"Yes, you do, I have grown in power and I am comparable to the Pharaoh."
"Well, more really seeing as you never went into the shadow realm completely."
"Ah, I understand that, but why do the 3 Egyptian Gods allow me to use them?"
"Well, that's due to the fact you are technically my successor as the wielder of the 3 Egyptian Gods. Also the fact my Dark Magician Spirits also become yours as well."
"I am highly honoured, Pharaoh." "I am also glad to serve Pharaoh."
"Well I think it's time for you to wake up, Tanya — I believe that someone is trying to wake you up."
"Ah, talk to you soon Mana. I shall hope we meet again Pharaoh but not if it's life threatening I hope."
"Yes, we shall meet again."
"Tanya I talk to you when you're alone. But if you need my power all you need is to ask mentally."
"I shall."
I begin to wake up, and Saless is standing over me. I seem to be propped up against the wall outside the VIP lounge.
"Welcome back stranger."
"Saless, what are you doing here?"
"I received a call from the Kaiba Corp. security office, it was a female voice and it told me to come here to see if you're okay."
I be dammed, EVA is quite good.
"I know who helped."
"Oh?"
"Yeah, they're kinda looking out for me."
"Cool, you'll be fine now."
"Yeah, had something on my mind."
"Cool, well I need to properly introduce myself, Mira Saless."
"Ah, I am Tanya Weston Kaiba."
"Nice to meet you, so see you later?"
"Yeah."
So Saless leaves, and I get up. I felt as if I was charged. I go and knock on the VIP door.
"Come in."
I enter the room and see Mum, Maxine and Principal Sheppard chatting.
"Well Tanya, you ready to go home?"
"Yeah, I think you know why Mum and Maxine."
"What is the problem with Tanya?"
"Well Principal Sheppard, there are things which we would rather not say at the moment. But don’t worry she only gets like this when she has done certain things."
"Ah, okay."
"Well, we shall meet tomorrow, Miss Sheppard."
"I shall see you once more, Miss Sheppard."
"See you tomorrow, Principal."
Mum and Maxine get up and head up to the door and I exit and they come out after me. We head off to the limo and head back to Kaiba Corp.
"Mum, I think I have found out why I am who I am now."
"Oh?/Oh?"
I tell them what Atem and Mana talked to me about.
"Ah, that would make sense."
"So If you get a report from EVA, that is her just making sure I am okay, plus I think I have made a friend today."
"That's good."
"Yeah, her name is Mira Saless — a Beatdown Duelist."
"Oh, that is good."
"Yeah."
"I think I'm going to make some more friends."

August 30th 2995
Well it's been rather uneventful since I got home last night. I was absolutely shattered when I got home. I had just summoned an Egyptian god card and found out I have a duel spirit as well in the same day, so this has changed my outlook on life if it has not already changed more times than not.
So it's time to get dressed to go to duel academy, but as my mum told me yesterday I am going in a different way to get there. It seems my mum has gone and done another thing Seto Kaiba did in the anime, she has built the one of a kind Blue-Eyes White Dragon jet.
Although this one has a few extras over the one Seto built. It has for some completely weird reason a full functioning duel arena emitters built in it. Did mum foresee the eventual need for this to be built? I would not want to guess.
So I have to wear a flight suit, this one is custom fitting — it has nano fibers which when activated size the suit to my body, so making it comfortable but also providing maximum protection. So with my underwear on, I slip the suit on and the fibers activate in the suit, hugging my teen body.
It is at this point that I realize that I have achieved what I was always wanting back in my old life, to feel complete, but I would never look as good as a genetic girl with my old body. But with what Atem and my mum have done I have the chance to live the life I always wanted.
I know I should never forget where I come from, but I want to have a clean slate.
It is as I start to get the rest of my stuff, I see myself in the mirror in my room. I'm actually filling out up top, or is that my suit showing it? Hmm, it be a while yet before I have to get fitted for a bra, but I will love when that day comes.
So I pick up my duel disk and put it in a travel-bag which mum has designed. The lovely thing about this suit is that it has some external pockets and attachment points, so I load up my decks on the ones on my legs, and put my god card necklace in the left breast pocket.
I get my travel case with Academy uniform and other things for there and head out of my room and see mum in her flight suit and her helmet — yes she has a Blue-Eyes White Dragon helmet.
"Well daughter, you ready to go to duel academy?"
"Yeah, ready as I'll ever be."
Mum looks me over.
"Oh, I just noticed, your chest is beginning to fill out."
"Yeah, I think it might be the suit though."
"Good thought."
"So shall we head up to the roof?"
"Yes."
We head to the elevator, and get in. Of course taking my bags with me.
"Miss Kaiba, the jet is fueled and pre-flight checks have been carried out."
"Thank you, EVA."
"Mum, will I have the link to the Kaiba Corp. network at duel academy?"
"Yes, I'll even have EVA come with you."
"You sure mum?"
"Yeah, I have her here."
She lifts up a phone like device.
"Oh."
"Yeah, she's on an optical crystal drive. And this communication device is secure and fast enough for EVA to do her work. Also I would like to have a part of me there with you just to make myself feel safe."
"Thanks mum. And EVA I hope I do not fail to use you correctly."
"Thank you daughter."
"Thank you Tanya, in a way you are my sister I suppose."
"That’s true."
We arrive at the top of Kaiba Corp. HQ and I see across from the elevator the Blue-Eyes White Dragon jet. It looks like if it were actually a real-life Blue-Eyes White Dragon if not for the avionics needed for flight.
We head up to the jet, and Mum opens the cockpit up and then heads to the belly of the jet to open up the cargo hold for the jet. Mum puts in my Duel Disk and carry case and then reseals the cargo hold.
Then we get into the cockpit but as I have to enter first, mum gives me her deck to put on my flight suit.
"Mum, why are you giving me your deck?"
"I need to not have anything which could snag on the flight controls for the jet, and there’s more room in the front."
"Ah, okay."
So I attach the deck on my right leg, and get into the seat at the front. Mum then gets into her seat and then lowers the cockpit roof.
"Daughter, you know how to put on a five point harness?"
"Yeah, I have seen it done many times."
So I put the flight harness on, to tie me into the ejector seat. Then I look in front of me, and see that it looks like more controls would go here but looks like complete blank canvas, then I remember what mum told me about this jet.
It has Duel Arena technology, plus the fact there is a great viewing angle here in the front seat, must mean that the spaces here are just the storing lids for the duel system which is built into the jet.
I hear mum belt herself in, and put her helmet on
"Well all systems are ready, Tanya there is a helmet there for you."
I see that there is helmet lying on the console, I put it on.
"Its on mum."
"Let's go."
The jet begins to fire up, and we begin lifting off, like the old VTOL planes of old. It takes about 30 seconds to get up to a nice height and we then switch to horizontal flight mode and blast off to Duel Academy.
It's about 40 minutes into the flight I start to think about where Duel Academy is set up. It is set on an island off the main land of Japan. But as I'm dwelling on this, I feel a sense of unease and my newly empowered shadow senses are ticked off immediately.
"Mum, I can sense some shadow magic near us in the air."
"Wait, did I just hear you right?"
"Yeah, you did."
"Oh, is it getting closer?"
I look up through the transparent cockpit which on the outside looks like Blue-Eyes White Dragon scales on its head and I see an insect duel monster in mid air coming towards us. It's Insect Queen.
"Mum, have you got that Duel Arena tech working on here yet?"
"Yes."
"Need to fire it up now. Also I think it's going to be easier if this is going to be a Shadow Game that I use monsters which already have flight in mind."
"Daughter you may use my deck for this duel."
"Wait, you sure mum, would the Blue-Eyes spirits not agree with this?"
It is then I hear Mana.
"Tanya, I have spoken to them, and they agree that they will do anything for their master and they trust you to wield them well. Might I suggest you insert one of the three god cards into the deck for this shadow duel?"
"Hmm, I think I shall."
I hit the button on the console and it transforms in front of me into what can only be described as the dueling layout on a 5D's Duel Runner. I get mums deck from my right leg and proceed to get my god necklace and take out a god card for this duel. I choose Slifer the Sky Dragon and put it into the deck.
I take the deck and put into the duel deck hold and it auto shuffles. Then we hear the Insect Queen speak to us as it pulls up along side us. Mum hits the transparency button for the cockpit, but only for the area I am in.
"Well I see I have found the one I am looking for."
I reply back.
"Well you have, the only way you are getting anything from me is if you win in a shadow duel."
"I agree to these terms."
"Well, let's duel."
