Talia talked it over with her parents and decided to drop out of high school. She thought long and hard about how she was going to get back at the state for their short sightedness and bigotry. Since she already had her silk screening business. She cranks up the production of bigotry against the state legistures who voted for the bill that would allow to change her birth gender on her birth certificate.
After dropping out of school, she signs up and takes the GED test. She scores about average on the test in some areas, while exceling in a few other subject matters. After Talia gets her scores back form the GED test. She informs her parents that she wants to a private investigator license.
Both her parents wonder why Talia wants to get a private investigator license. Her mother knew someone who was married to a private investigator. The person was a close friend of her mother’s. The woman agreed to arrange a meeting between her husband and Talia.
Blackeye Private Investigation Firm:
Talia dresses for the meeting. She ask her mother for help, so that she makes a good impression with the person. She knew if she wanted to dig into these people past and lives that she needed to learn the proper way to do it.
Brenda had taken the morning off to drive her daughter to the job interview. Her friend Stacy had said her husband would like to meet Talia and if she made an impression on him. He would take her under his wing and teach her about being an investigator.
Talia was nervous as she sits next to her mother in the car. She wanted to embarrasses the jack asses that were making her life and others like her difficult. She felt that if she could do that, maybe she could force them to undo what they did.
Brenda notices how nervous her daughter was and places her hand on top of Talia’s. She gives Talia’s hand a little squeze “you’ll do fine, sweetie. Just be clear with your answers, and think about the question before answering it.”
Talia looks at her mother “I’ll try, mom.”
“Do well, sweetie.” Brenda pulls into the parking lot.
The agency was just a single story plain looking building. There was nothing fancy about it, and it blended in with the other building in the office park. Talia looks towards her mother “where will you be?”
“I’ll be right here, waiting for you. Now, go and impress Mr. Garcia.” A smile forms on Brenda’s face.
She watches as Talia exists the car and walk inside the building. Talia notices that as she walks into the building, that on the inner doors, was printed Blackeye Private Investigation Firm. As she entered the building, there was a middle aged woman sitting at the reception counter.
Talia walks up to the counter “Hi, I have an eleven clock appointment with Mr. Garcia.”
Betty looks at the teenage girl standing on the other side of the reception counter. She could tell the girl was a little nervous “what is your name, dear?”
“Talia Marie Miller.” Talia was nervous as she stood before the woman.
“Ah, yes. Here you are Ms. Miller. I’ll let Mr. Garcia know you have arrived. Please, have a seat in the waiting area.”
“Thank you, ma’am.” Talia walks over to the sofa in the waiting area and sit down.
She wonders what Mr. Garcia looks like. Her mother said what he looked like or how she knew his wife. She knew better then to uses her cellphone, so she waits.
After about fifteen minutes a gentleman a little older then her father comes walking over to her. He was dressed casual, but looked clean shaved. She could smell the scent of Old Spice coming off him. She knew what it smelled like, because her grandfather loved it.
Mr. Garcia spots the teenage girl sitting in the waiting area. She looked to be around fifteen or sixteen years old. His wife had told him what she knew about the girl. She was the daughter of the book keeper that worked for the plumping business their son got his supplies from.
He stops before the young girl “Ms. Miller, I’m Mr. Garcia. If you’ll come with me, we’ll talk in my office.”
Mr. Garcia hold sout his hand towards Talia. He watches her as she reaches for his hand.
“It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Garcia.” Talia stands up and shakes his hand.
Mr. Garcia returns the handshake. He had to admit, she had a firm grip and wasn’t ahead to grip his hand.
“If you’ll come with me, please. We can continue this conversation in my office.”
“Okay.” Talia follows Mr. Garcia to his office.
