The adventures of Fey Nightwatcher and her partner/ assistant of Dave Lamb.
Fey looks at her reflection in the mirror. Her new magician costume has finally come in and fits her like a glove. After years of wishing she could be a woman, her wishes were coming true.
She has been taking illegal hormones for years to change her body. Ever since she realized she wasn’t like her siblings or cousins when she was younger. She didn’t have the same interest in your typical male things.
Where her brothers were into football and other types of sports, she was interested in ballet and gymnastics. She even tried out for the cheerleading squad at her school and was accepted, but she hated the stupid uniform the males had to wear. She wanted to wear the uniform the female cheerleaders wore.
She managed to get her hands on two of them. She wore them to a Halloween party in another district. She got so many compliments that no one knew she was a male. All the males at the party thought she was a full-fledged woman.
She delayed her secondary sexual bodily development. She didn’t mean to do it, but it happened. She was out riding her bicycle and a car stopped in front of her suddenly. She hit the back of the car and slammed into her handlebars. When that happened, she burst her scrotum open and had one of her testicles removed. She also found a way to get her hands on some prescription estrogen pills and patches.
She started hanging out with a gay guy from school. No one knew that would cement how she felt. She would go to the clubs and dress up as different female characters. She once went to a comic con dressed as a Lolita Maid and won.
Keeping things quiet from her parents and siblings was hard. Mainly because she came from a big family and shared a bedroom with one of her older brothers. She knew he had his hiding spots in the house.
She was so happy when it was time to go to college. She chose one that was as far as possible from her home state. That’s where she met others like herself.
“Are you going to stand there in front of your mirror all day admiring yourself?” Jessica looks at her roommate.
Fey turns around to look at her busty roommate. Jessica has been a big help in teaching her how to act like a young lady and finding herself. She introduced her to things she had only read about.
“I can’t help it. This new costume really shows off my body.” Fey twirls around to make sure everything stays where it is supposed to.
“That much I agree with you on, but don’t you have a show to practice for?” Jessica looks at her roommate.
“Yeah, if I can draw a big crowd with this weekend's performance. Henry will book me for several more performances.” Fey was hoping this weekend’s performance would draw a big crowd.
“Well, you won’t get anywhere standing in front of your mirror. Wasn’t your resolution for the new year to become well-known and find a girlfriend or something?” Jessica knew Fey had been feeling lonely lately.
“Thanks for reminding me.” Fey starts taking her new outfit off.
“Sorry for ruining your day, sweetheart. I know how hard it has been since Robert dumped you for that brunette down at the bank.” Jessica knew Fey had it bad for Robert.
Robert had been Fey’s first boyfriend since starting college. They meet in her second week after arriving at the college. She had met him at a mutual friend’s party.
She had been honest and upfront about what she was. She didn’t hide anything from him. Jessica watches as Fey grabs her gym bag and sunglasses.
“Come on, I’ll give you a lift to the theater so you can practice your routine.” Jessica grabs her car keys.
“Thanks.” Fey follows Jessica out to her car.
Fey hears the car beep as Jessica uses the remote to unlock the car doors. She gets in on the passenger side while Jessica is on the driver's side.
“Seat belts.” Jessica looks at Fey to remind her.
“Yes, mother.” A teasing look appears on Fey’s face.
“That reminds me, your mother called earlier while you were in the shower. She said that your brother Jeff is getting married in September. She wants you to speak to him so you can attend the wedding.” Jessica knew Fey’s family disapproved of her transitioning.
She came out to her folks after being at college for a month. She did a video conference with them when she informed them. Her father got up and walked away from the laptop they were using, and her mother started crying and was in denial.
She received word from financial aid weeks later that her parents were pulling their support. Luckily for Fey, she got a job at the theater and has been performing tricks on the streets. She’s been doing escape tricks for a while. She even knew how to hypnotize people.
Some of her older brothers were embarrassed to be related to Fey. Her parents said she was welcome to come and visit but not dressed as a girl. Some of Fey’s family didn’t care and accepted Fey for who she was.
“Why should I apologize for wanting to be myself? It was his fault for not accepting me and telling his fiancée that I was sick and perverted.” Fey had finally come out to her family about what she was.
“Well, your mother wants all of you to be at the wedding. I can’t entirely agree with the way they are treating you. My parents don’t care, and they like you, for you.” Jessica knew her family was more open-minded and liked Fey a lot.
Hell, her mother thought of Fey as her younger sister. When they went and visited her family for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Her mother gave Fey a beautiful dress and some jewelry to go with it. She gave Fey her favorite perfume and new shoes to go with the dress.
“Well, until my brother apologizes for what he said to me, I’m not attending the wedding.” Fey could be as stubborn as her family.
After about thirty minutes, they finally arrived at the theater, where Fey practiced her routine. The theater manager, Wayne, didn’t mind renting it out to Fey. In exchange for Fey using it, she does a few shows a month for the manager.
“Call me when you're ready to leave. We’ll go to the hair of the dog eatery and grab some lunch.” Jessica loved the comfort food they served.
“Will do.” Fey grabs her gym bag and heads into the theater.
She uses the side entrance. The place was a little chilly as she headed towards the assigned dressing room. Once inside the dressing room, she changes out of her street clothes. She changes into her workout clothes. Her workout clothes were a black sleeveless body suit that supported her medium-sized breasts and a pair of matching slim tennis shoes.
She sets up her tricks since her assistant is in class right now. Usually, she wouldn’t practice alone, but Dave, her assistant, has morning classes. Dave’s boyfriend was an actor and sometimes would come and watch her practice.
She sets up her camcorder to record her practice. That way, she can go back and see where she messed up on a routine or add to it. She couldn’t practice any escape tricks because she needed her assistant to perform them.
She does practice her card tricks and illusions. She loved the one where everyone thought she was levitating, but she wasn’t. After four hours of practicing, she sits in her dressing room and reviews the footage of her practice session.
While she is watching the video, her cell phone starts ringing. She looked at the caller ID and noticed it was Trent calling her. She presses accept “Joe’s meat house, Joe speaking. What can I slaughter for you?”
A playful smile appears on her face. She loves playing pranks on her friends, especially Trent. He was a pothead and got confused easily.
“Ugh, can I speak to Fey Moore?” Trent was confused. He knew he dialed Fey’s number.
Fey giggles before speaking. “What can I do you for, Trent?”
“Can you let me and the guys in, please? I forgot my key to the place.” Trent was always forgetting his keys.
“Does Wayne know you are using the theater to practice?” Fey wasn’t sure if Wayne knew Trent and his band Mystik Spiral were allowed to use the theater.
She knew Trent and his friends named their band after the MTV cartoon from Daria. She likes the Daria cartoon. The character from it was someone she could relate to somewhat.
“He knows as long as we don’t interrupt you or the theater actors.” Trent paid Wayne a monthly rental fee to use the theater to practice.
“Alright, let me grab my robe first.” Fey ends the phone call.
She grabs her robe and puts it on. Since she worked up a sweat, she was feeling chilly. She walks towards the side entrance and opens the door for Trent.
She spots the black van they traveled in. Trent and his band called it the Tank, after the one in the Daria cartoon. She watches as Trent gets out on the passenger side. Smoke comes rolling out.
Fey shakes his head as Trent and the other band members approach her. Trent was dressed in his black leather vest and pants. His head was covered in messy, short black hair like he had just woken up.
“Don’t you ever check your appearance before you leave the house?” Fey couldn’t believe how Trent looked.
A smirk appears on Trent’s face as he stops before Fey. He knew Fey used to be a guy. He met Fey when she started coming to the theater to watch her friend Richie practice his routine for the club.
“Why mess with perfection?” He smiles at her.
“Perfection, my ass. I can’t believe you were up this early. Normally, you and your bandmates keep vampire hours.” Fey watches as Flint, Gus, and Boone approach her and Trent with their instruments and amps.
“We got a gig on Thursday and need to work on some of our new songs. Why don’t you join us? You’re not half bad at playing the guitar.” Trent has heard Fey play before.
“I play for pleasure, not for a living.” Fey steps aside to let Trent and his bandmates into the theater.
“Hey, Fey. Are you done with your practice?” Boone looks over at Fey when he walks past her.
Fey looks at Boone. He stuck out among his bandmates, where Trent and Flint had short black hair. And Gus was bald and had a bunch of facial piercings. Boone had short blonde hair and a muscular build to him. He also used to be a Chip and Dale dancer as well.
All the members of Mystik Spiral were unique. Trent has been playing and singing since he was in high school. He studied classical music at the Manhattan School of Music for a while. That’s where he met Flint. Flint was a die-hard KISS fan but studied classical music as well.
Gus was a self-taught drummer who played in various bands before hooking up with Trent. It was a fluke that they all had come together to play. Each was a weirdo who met one night at a nightclub and started talking. It seemed all of them had more in common than they did with other people.
Gus wore a spiked collar around his neck and nothing to cover his chest. He also wore tight black leather pants as well. He had a vast raven tattoo that covered three-quarters of his back.
“Yeah, I’m done, Boone. Let me put my stuff away, and you can set it up.” Fey locks the door behind them.
“I’ll give you a hand.” Boone smiles at Fey.
He liked how she looked and smelled. He knew she didn’t date musicians. He didn’t know why, but he figured it had to do with some things that went on after they played. It wasn’t unusual for them to party after a gig. God knows he has woken up with two unknown naked women sleeping next to him.
Boone watches as Fey’s body suit rides up her butt crack every time she bends over or kneels. He loved how the suit supported and outlined her pear-shaped breasts. He would love to see her wearing a bikini or wearing nothing.
Fey catches Boone staring at her ass and chest a few times. She liked it when men looked at her, but she also felt self-conscious when they did. Something about how they saw her freaked her out sometimes.
She asked Jessica if she had ever felt like that. Jessica said at first, she had. All because she was the first in her class to start developing breasts. She notices that some male teachers and her male relatives would look at her differently. That wasn’t all, either. She saw that the boys in her classes were watching her more. How she walked and exercised in class. They liked watching her breasts bounce up and down.
Fey smiles at Boone as he finishes helping her put her gear away. She turns and looks at him. “Thank you, Boone. You guys have a nice rehearsal.”
“You’re welcome.” Boone turns and walks off.
Fey walks back into her dressing room and changes. She gives herself a quick sponge bath before getting redress. After she finishes redressing, she texts Jessica to let her know she is ready to pick up. She informs her she’ll meet her outside in the side parking lot.
Fey grabs her gym bag and walks outside through the side door. She walks over to the planter box and sits on its edge while waiting for Jessica to arrive. She starts feeling warmer sitting outside in the sunlight than inside the theater.
She couldn’t believe it was January already. She tried to recall last year but couldn’t believe how fast it had gone by. Just as Fey was about to log onto Facebook, she spotted Jessica’s car approaching her. She stands up, walks to the curb, and waves towards her.
Jessica pulls up sideways to the curb and lowers the driver-side window. “How much for the evening, good-looking?”
“More than you could afford.” A smile appears on Fey’s face as she walks around to the passenger side and gets into the car.
Jessica turns her head towards Fey. “That depends. You have no idea what I can afford.”
“Right, I’m hungry. Let’s go.” Fey shakes her head at Jessica’s antics.
“And away we go.” Jessica puts the car into gear and steps on the accelerator.
Fey relaxes against the back of the car seat. She loved that Jessica’s car had heated seats, especially during winter.
“So, how did practice go?” Jessica glances toward Fey as she sits in the passenger seat.
“It would have gone better if Dave had been there. I wanted to try some of the escape acts.”
“Well, hell. If you needed someone to tie you up or secure you in handcuffs, you could have called me. You know how much I love tying you up.” A cheshire grin appears on Jessica’s face.
“Yeah, I do know how much you enjoy tying me up. You bruised my wrist last time by tying them too tight.” That was the last time Fey let Jessica tie her up.
“I couldn’t make it too easy on you. You’re good at escaping from your constraints.” Jessica entered the parking lot of the restaurant they were heading to.
She finds an unoccupied parking spot on the third row instead of pulling in nose first. She turns the car around so it is ass backward, with the front of the vehicle facing outward. She turned the car off, and they got out and walked toward the restaurant entrance.
When they entered the restaurant, they noticed how busy the place was. Fey spotted a few people she knew from college.
“There’s a few people from my classes here.” Fey memorized all her fellow students just in case she needed something or missed a class.
A young woman escorts them over to a nearby table. A young woman named Stacy handed them some menus and took their drink order. They place their meal order When she returns with their drink order.
While Fey and Jessica wait for their food, Jessica looks at Fey and asks, “How are your finances?”
“They are alright, so far. I have enough money to get me through the until next year. As for my college fund. I knew my folks would cut me off, so I applied for several scholarships and was approved.”
“You got scholarships and didn’t tell me?” Jessica was surprised. She thought she and Fey were close.
“I wasn’t sure if I would get approved or not. One is from the Phoenix Foundation, and the second is from the Blake Foundation.”
“What are the requirements to get approved?” Jessica was curious.
“You must write an essay and submit a copy of your expenses. I wrote down all my expenses and how much money I had coming in and going out. I sent them proof that I was in the process of transitioning.” Fey wanted the money to pay for her college expenses.
“You might be able to get a grant from the Blake Foundation. They give students like us grants to attend college and free medical services at their clinics.” Fey has recently been getting her estrogen pills and puberty blockers from their free clinic.
“What? They give grants for being a lesbian and gay?” Jessica hadn’t heard about that.
“Something like that. They know how hard it is for people like us. So, they are willing to give out grants to help people like us.”
“How can they verify that people aren’t taking advantage of their gift?” Jessica wonders what safeguards they have in place.
“Beats me, but I know they are willing to help people like us.” Fey did some research on them before applying for a grant.
Jessica thinks about what Fey said. She knew a grant would help her and her parents. It would lighten the cost of her college cost.
After a short time of waiting, they were served their meal. Their waitress was tentative to them.
When Fey and Jessica are eating, they pay their bill and leave a nice tip for their waitress.
“Where to now?” Fey looks towards Jessica for an answer.
“Well, some people I know are throwing a house party tonight. Do you want to go over and mingle for a while?” Jessica had a few friends who just got a new apartment.
“Sure, let's stop at the market so I can purchase a few items to give them.” Fey knew what the protocol was for going to a housewarming party.
Jessica and Fey stop at their local market to buy wine, cheese, and fruit platters. She also believes some freshly made brownies are sold at the market.
“Hey Jessica, do you want a brownie?” Fey had a weakness for brownies.
“Sure, but make sure it doesn’t have nuts.” Jessica didn’t like a lot of nuts in her brownies.
Fey orders four more brownies for herself and Jessica. Once the woman who makes them hands it to her.
“Thank you, ma’am.” Fey accepts the small box of brownies.
“You’re welcome. Enjoy.” Edith smiles at the young woman.
“Oh, I plan to.” Fey smiles at Edith and turns to leave.
Fey and Jessica walk out to Jessica’s car with their purchase. Jessica unlocks the door of the car and gets in. Fey looks over towards her friend and smiles.
“Let’s go and have some fun.”
Jessica puts the car into gear and drives towards the location. She knew the party was going to be fun. Before long, they pulled into the parking lot where Jessica’s friend's new apartment was.
The two exited the car and carried the items they had purchased for the party to the apartment. Since Jessica knew the people, Fey followed behind her. They could already hear music playing inside when they approached the front door.
Jessica knocks on the apartment door. After a few seconds, the door opens, revealing a tall, six-foot-tall, well-toned guy with brown hair. A smile appeared on Jessica’s face because she knew who the man was.
“Brandon, you guys have already started the party with me and my friend.”
“Sorry, Jessica. Debbie and some of her friends arrived earlier. Come on in and join the party.” Brandon steps aside to let Jessica and her roommate into the apartment.
Once they were inside, he shut the door behind them. He escorted them to the kitchen area, which was open. The kitchen had a counter where a person could sit and eat.
“Just place your items on the counter. Let me put the wine in the cooler, and help yourself to whatever you want to drink.” Brandon accepts the bottles of wine Jessica has picked out and puts them into a wine cooler.
Fey looked around the room and didn’t recognize anyone.
“Here, I know you don’t drink.” Jessica hands a virgin pina colada to Fey.
“Thanks.” Fey takes a sip from it and doesn’t detect any alcohol in the drink.
Jessica escorts Fey over to her friend Debbie. She spotted Debbie talking to two other women. She knew both women and how long they had been Debbie’s friends.
“Debbie, I can’t believe how fast the party started.” Jessica was surprised.
“Jessica.” Debbie hugs Jessica.
She spots Fey standing nearby. “who’s your shadow?”
“That’s my roommate and friend, Fey.” Jessica looks at Fey with a smile on her face.
“It’s nice to meet you, Debbie.” Fey holds her hand out to Debbie to shake.
Debbie smiles and shakes Fey’s hand. She noticed that Fey had bright blue eyes.
“Wow! Your eyes are bright. I’ve never seen eyes like that before.”
“Thanks. They have been liked that since I was born. So, how do you and Jessica know each other?” Fey was curious about their friendship.
“She followed me from Petoskey, Michigan,” Jessica answered for Debbie.
“So, you two went to the same private school together?” Fey knew Jessica went to a private Catholic school.
“We were the terror of the school. We broke the rules so often that Sister Mary Concessa had a special paddle for us.”
“They spanked you?” Fey was shocked at that statement.
“Oh, yeah. They also used a thick wooden ruler and whacked you across your knuckles. Oakcrest Academy still believed in using physical punishment for any infractions you committed.”
Fey looked at Jessica and couldn’t believe her mother would do something like that to her. She met Jessica’s parents, and they were friendly people. She even spent the holidays with them.
“My grandmother paid for me to go there.” Jessica noticed the look on Fey’s face.
“Why?” Fey was curious
“Tradition. The firstborn is always sent to Oakcrest Academy. My siblings were allowed to choose where they wanted to go, but I had no choice.” Jessica hated the tradition.
“Man, I didn’t know that.” Fey lays her hand on Jessica’s shoulder.
“Well, I was glad you were sent there, Jess. I wouldn’t have had as much fun as I did without you.” Debbie loved the pranks and the trouble they got into.
“Come on, let me introduce you to everyone.” Debbie starts introducing Jessica and Fey to everyone.
When people learn that Fey performs magic tricks and can hypnotize people, they want her to prove it. One guy in particular didn’t believe she could do it. He bet that Fey couldn’t hypnotize him.
Fey just looked at him. “Are you willing to let me prove I can?”
“Sure, I know that people can’t be hypnotized.” Andy stands up to Fey. He was only a foot or two away and six inches taller than her.
“Alright, don’t say I didn’t warn you.” As Fey changes the tone of her voice.
Fey looks him directly in his eyes and starts whispering. She kept his focus on her eyes, and within a minute, he was under.
“Who would like to see him act like a chicken?” Fey looks at the people watching her.
“A chicken is too easy. How about making him act like a Ballerina?”
Fey looks at the gentleman. In the same voice soft voice, she used to put him under, “When I snap my fingers, you will act like a Ballerina.”
Fey snaps her fingers, and Andy starts acting like a ballerina. He starts dancing like a ballerina. Fey watches the reaction from the others. After a few minutes, she stops him and snaps Andy out of his hypnotic state.
Andy looks confused as he looks at Fey. He saw the smile on her face. “So, when are you going to start?”
“I’ve already done it. Who would like to volunteer next?”
“I will, but don’t make me do anything stupid, please.” Sasha walks up to Fey.
A smile appears on Fey’s face. “I promise.”
Sasha relaxes and looks into Fey’s eyes, and in no time, she is hypnotized. Fey makes her dance for everyone and then has her act like a kitten. She lies on the floor on her stomach when she is brought back.
Fey takes a bow and goes back to socializing with everyone. She is asked many questions about how many people she can hypnotize at once and if it can be done permanently. She answers the questions the best she can. She also informs them where they can come to see her perform.
By the time Fey and Jessica leave the party. Both women were tried. Jessica drove them home and retired to her bedroom. On the other hand, Fey stays up a little longer before passing out with her nightstand light still on.
Fey doesn’t want to leave bed the following day and hit the gym when she wakes up. However, she knows if she doesn’t, she’ll regret it later. She drags herself out of bed and takes a quick shower. She gets dressed in her exercise outfit and grabs her gym bag with her regular clothes and swimsuit. She’ll try to get in a few laps before class this morning.
Fey heads towards the gym and works out. Afterward, she goes for a swim and does a few laps. She was well awake when she had to attend her first class for the day. She stops at her favorite gas station and grabs a cup of coffee. She couldn’t see spending seven dollars at Starbucks for coffee.
During her morning and afternoon classes, she tries to get motivated. However, the subject they were covering was so dull. She noticed a few students in her class had fallen asleep. She had some old-fashioned snappers she could throw to wake them. However, the last time she did that, her instructor told her she appreciated what she did, but she would be written up next time.
By the time her classes are done, Fey isn’t up to cooking anything when she gets home. So, she stops at the nearest Popeye’s near her place. She orders a three-piece chicken tenders meal.
While Fey was waiting for her meal, she noticed a couple of guys walking into the place. One walks up to the counter and pulls a gun on the
cashier. His partner stands nearby, pointing a gun towards her and several other people.
Fey notices that the young girl she had been entertaining hid behind her mother. The second gunman was close to them. She was nervous but couldn’t allow anything wrong to happen to the little girl. She looks at the second gunman, and in a soft voice, she tries to hypnotize him.
Once he locked eyes with her, she had him. She orders him to point his gun at his partner when the guy does as she suggests. “Excuse me, sir. I suggest you put your weapon down before your partner shoots you.”
The second guy turns around to say something and spots his partner pointing his gun at him. The woman who spoke was standing behind him. When he makes eye contact with her, her gaze immediately captures him.
“Now, be a good boy and return the money to the cashier.” Fey keeps eye contact with the person.
The guy hands the money back to the cashier. He turns around around and looks at the woman.
“That’s a good boy. Now, both of you will throw your guns into the trash and leave. You’ll never come back and bother this place again. Once you leave, you’ll remember nothing of this except what I order you to do.” Fey didn’t want these guys to return.
The two young men walk over to the trash and toss their weapons into the garbage. Afterward, they walk out the door and leave the property. Everyone watches as the young men go.
“How did you do that?” A young woman who had been standing near Fey looks at her.
“It’s a parlor trick, is all. Please, don’t tell anyone about this, please.” Fey didn’t want this to get around.
“Lady, after what you just did. You should get a medal or something.” Another person looks at Fey.
“I can do without a medal. All I care about is that all of you are safe.” Fey winks at the little girl.
“Well, whenever you come in to eat, your meal is on the house.” The manager on duty smiles at Fey.
“Thank you, sir.”
When Fey’s food was ready, she waved goodbye and headed home. She still couldn’t believe what she had done as she drove home. She only cared about protecting that little girl and her mother.
When Fey arrives home and parks. She sits in her car for a few minutes, getting herself under control. She had no idea where the courage she displayed came from or what she did would work.
She finally manages to get herself under control and centered. Once she was calm enough, she headed into the house. She heard moaning coming from Jessica’s bedroom and knew what that meant.
A sly smile appears on Fey’s face as she reheats her tender meal. She took the coleslaw out of the box. She knew Jessica and her girlfriend would be busy for the rest of the evening.
Fey makes herself comfortable on the sofa and watches a movie on Disney+ while she eats her meal. She saw the pizza box sitting on the kitchen table while she had been in the kitchen. It looked like Jessica and her girlfriend had a few slices before retiring to Jessica’s bedroom.
“Dave, I think we need to adjust this wire here.” Fey tests the thin wire holding the clear platform.
Dave walks over to test the wire himself. He helped Fey design some of the tricks and props they were performing. He was starting to feel tired because he didn’t sleep well last night. His girlfriend had come over and they messed around until early in the morning.
“It’s fine, Fey. It only has to hold our combined weight.” He turns to look at Fey.
“Are you sure, it's going to be fine?” Fey was concerned because this weekend they were going to be performing several new tricks that even Houdini himself wouldn’t perform.
“It’s fine. The one I’m nervous about is you escaping from the straight jacket while hanging upside down with the support rope burning.” Dave was concerned about that trick the most.
“Alright, let's practice that one, one more time, without the rope burning.” Fey trusted Dave and knew it might be best to retry that one again.
“Oh, by the way. Why do I have to wear this Chip and Dale outfit?” Dave looked like a Chip and Dale performer with the way he was dressed.
“Because you’re the distraction. All the women in the audience will be ignoring me and watching you strait your manly form.”
“Why don’t I perform the trick and you put a tiny sexy outfit on?” Dave wiggles his eyebrows at Fey.
“Because I’m already wearing a cute sexy outfit in the show. Plus, you are still learning how to do some of these tricks.” Fey picked Dave to work with after interviewing a lot of people.
He understood how the tricks they performed worked and he wanted to be just like her. He already had a YouTube following and could perform some of the same tricks she did. Plus, he had a remarkable physical body too.
“You know if I didn’t already have a girlfriend. I would consider chasing after you.” Dave smiles at Fey as he goes to get the straight jacket.
“You know I don’t date coworkers.” Fey has read about a lot of bad breakups between performers.
Fey prepares herself for the trick Dave is afraid of. She knew what her time was escaping from a straight jacket and how long it took for the rope to burn through. They weren’t burning the rope right now because of the fire detectors. They have to shut them down to do the trick.
“I found your jacket and checked it over.” As Dave comes walking back over to Fey holding it.
“Alright, let's practice the trick.” Fey prepares herself.
Dave puts the straight jacket onto Fey. He makes sure it’s nice and snug. They were going to have a person from the audience come up and check it.
“Are you ready?” Dave looks into Fey’s bright blue eyes.
“Yep.” Fey smiles Dave.
Dave gives Fey a quick kiss, before snapping the master lock shut. He smiles as a surprised look appears on her face “for good luck.”
“Why you!” Fey watches as Dave goes about securing the ankle cuffs to lift Fey up into the air.
They were using an electric wince to lift her and hang her upside down. All her props had been built either by herself and Dave or brought from retiring magicians and escape artists who decided to get out of the business.
“Alright, Fey. I’m starting the timer, now.” As Dave presses the button on the timer.
Fey starts wiggling around and soon pops her shoulder out. She manages to slip the straight jacket off and let it drop. She leans upwards and undoes the manacle securing her ankle. She drops down onto the stage afterward.
“How long?” Fey looks at Dave for her total time.
“Four minutes for the straight jacket and one minute for manacles. So, a total of five minutes.”
“It takes eight minutes for the rope to burn through.”
“So, that means if you want to stretch it out some. You’ll need to buy some time to impress the crowd.” Dave knew playing to the crowd always impresses them and builds suspense.
“Alright, let's do it again and see if we can draw it out.” Fey hated performing upside down, but it impressed people.
“Maybe next time we can do a water gig. That girl from Now You See Me did a nice one.” Dave loved that movie and the one that followed afterward.
“I’ll consider it.” Fey prepares herself for another go at it.
By the time the two of them called it quits, it was late in the afternoon and Dave was hungry. They were sitting on the stage resting when Trent came walking into the theater.
“There you guys are. I’ve been looking all over this theater for you.” Trent stops at the stage.
“We’ve been here the entire day. Why? What’s up?” Fey was curious.
“There is a bunch of television reporters out front looking to interview you?” A smirk appears on Trent’s face.
“Why would a bunch of television reporters want to interview you, Fey?” Dave looks towards Fey with a puzzled look on his face.
“I don’t know, why.” Fey hopes it wasn’t because of what she did at Popeye’s the other night.
“Oh, stop being so modest, Fey.” Trent pulls his cell phone out and locates the video on YouTube. He hands the cell phone to Dave “press play.”
Dave accepts the cell phone and presses play. He watches as Fey hypnotizes two armed robbers and makes them throw their guns into the garbage. The recording seemed like it came from an employee’s phone.
Dave looks at Fey “Why did you do that? You could have gotten yourself killed.”
“I couldn’t allow the little girl in the video to lose her mother or get injured herself.” Fey saw how scared the little girl was.
“Still, you could have been killed.” Dave was worried about his friend and partner.
“I know. Still, if my death meant that little girl could live or that her mother could live. I would do it all the time.” Fey felt what she did was worth it.
“Well, it's time for you to face the music, Fey.” Trent figures Fey could use this to her advantage.
“I guess your right.” Fey lets out a sigh.
“Fey, let me suggest something.” Dave just thought of a way to use this attention for them and the theater.
Twenty minutes later, while Dave entertained the news reporters in the theater. Fey had changed and used a fancy entrance to appear on stage.
“Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Fey Moore and I am here to answer all your questions.” As sparks appear behind her.
A smirk appears on Fey’s face as the resolution she made at the beginning of the year is being fulfilled.
The Magi Club, Charlotte, North Carolina:
“Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to entertain and amaze you tonight with feats of escape artist skill that Harry Houdini himself fear to do.” Fey climbs up a ladder leading to a platform over a plexiglass cylinder.
Dave follows behind her and secures her wrists and ankles. Once Fey is secured, she slides into the cylinder tube and watches as Dave secures the lid. He then throws the switch to fill the tube with water.
She looked at the crowd as the water filled the cylinder and watched their reaction. She could see that the audience was seeing what she would do. She put on a little show of trying to escape from her handcuffs.
The cylinder fills up, and Fey only has a few minutes to escape before she drowns. She knew if she hurried, she would use up the oxygen she was holding. So, she puts a little more effort into escaping.
Dave stands by with the huge sludge hammer ready to crack the cylinder Fey had custom-built. He has practiced with it to see if he could match Fey’s time or better. He has come close several times to check her escape time.
He watches his watch as she struggles to escape. He knows she can do it, but there is always a chance she will fail. It is getting close to her time to escape. Just as he and the other stagehands are ready to break the cylinder, she breaks free and unlocks the grate cover.
Thunderous applause erupted as Fey climbed out of the cylinder. A smile appeared on Fey’s face as she lifted herself out of the cylinder and bowed to the crowd. She shivers from being wet. She feels Dave wrap her coat around her body.
Since the water escape was Fey’s last act for the night. She watches as the people leave.
“How are you feeling?” Dave felt Fey shiver as he escorted her down from the platform.
“My wrists are sore, and I’m cold.” Fey could feel her nipples poking against her outfit.
“Well, luckily, we have the next few nights off.” Dave escorts Fey to her dressing room.
Several reporters and fans were present when they entered the back of the stage area. Fey smiled at everyone and stood tall as she answered some questions and shook some hands. She watched as Dave did the same. After a while, she and Dave made it to their shared dressing room.
Fey collapses onto the comfortable chair in the dressing room. She was tired and wanted to get out of her wet, cold outfit.
“I’ll fix some tea for you.” Dave starts heating some water in the electric tea pot.
“Thanks.” Fey sits for a few minutes.
She rubs her wrist where the cuffs bruise her wrist. She had a hard time escaping from them while underwater. She’ll have to oil them better or get a newer set.
She stood up and started removing her outfit. She could use the privacy screen in the room to undress, but she didn’t care if Dave saw her naked, ever since that incident at Popeye’s and the video on YouTube showing her causing the two robberies to leave. She has been getting requests to perform at several clubs.
Some requests have been for her to perform the same hypnotic trick she did to the two robbers. Other proposals have been for her to perform her escapologist tricks. Fey takes a towel and dries her hair.
She’ll be happy when they go back home. She and Dave have been gone for the past two months performing at small clubs and theaters. She doesn’t have anything lined up after they leave here.
“I can’t wait to go back home.” Fey missed her roommate, Jessica.
“I know what you mean.” Dave fixes a cup of tea for Fey.
He fixes it the way she likes and hands it to her.
“Thanks.” Fey sits back down on the chair she did before.
“Any time.” Dave fixes himself a cup of tea as well.
He sits in another chair in the dressing room and simultaneously takes a sip from his cup as Fey. He is glad his instructors allowed him to take classes online like Fey.
“The moving truck will be here tomorrow to load and transport all our gear tomorrow afternoon, giving us the morning to sleep in.” Dave takes another sip of his tea.
“Good. After tonight’s performance, I could use some time off.” Fey drinks more tea.
“Wayne will want us to perform at the theater once we get home.”
“I know after everything that happened at Popeye’s. The attendance at the theater has increased.” Fey couldn’t believe how busy the theater got after several local television stations interviewed her.
“It's all thanks to you. If you hadn’t stopped the robbers like you did. We would be looking for another place to practice our routine.” Dave liked that Wayne still let them practice at the theater.
“If things keep going like they are. We might have to find a new location to practice and store our equipment.”
“True, our equipment has been increasing thanks to some of the new tricks you and I have been doing.” Dave loved that his part in the act had increased. He was more than the assistant now.
“If things keep going like that, we might have to hire a new assistant to take your place.” Fey looks over at Dave as he sits across from her.
“I get to choose the new assistant.” A smirk appears on Dave’s face.
“Why do you get to choose the new assistant?” Fey looks at Dave for an answer.
“Because they are replacing me, and I want someone with flair and charisma.”
Fey shakes her head as she pours herself a second cup of tea. She is slowly warming up. By the time she and Dave leave the club, it is four in the morning. Both of them are tired and take an Uber back to their hotel.
The two of them were sharing a room to keep costs down. As soon as they enter their hotel room, they spot a basket of fruit and champagne waiting for them.
“That was nice of the hotel.” Fey starts taking off her clothes.
Dave looks at the card attached to the basket and reads it. A smile appears on his face as he turns around to look at Fey, who is lowering her pants.
“It’s not from the hotel. It’s from the Magic Castle in LA.” Dave couldn’t believe the handwriting on the card. He spots a name in the bottom right-hand corner that shines when you tilt the card. It said Henry Robbins.
Fey stops and looks at Dave. The Magic Castle was where only the best magicians hung out. It was also members-only as well. You had to be either invited by a member or have an invitation to get in.
“You’re joking, right?” Fey looks at Dave to make sure he isn’t joking.
Dave looks at Fey and notices her pants are down around her ankles. The blouse she was wearing barely covered her ass or the bikini-cut panties she was wearing.
“Nope, I’m not joking. We’ve been invited to come to Magic Castle by Henry Robbins.” Dave hands the card to Fey to read herself.
Fey reads the card and watches as Henry’s name vanishes and reappears when you tilt the card a certain way.
“So, cool.” Fey liked how the card did that.
She looks at Dave with excitement in her eyes. She has dreamed about visiting the Magic Castle.
“Do you know who Henry Robbins is?”
“Of course, I know who he is, goofball. He’s among the top ten magicians and has broken several endurance stunts in the Guinness World Records book. He’s also a master illusionist.”
Dave knew a lot about some of the greatest magicians around. He has always wanted to meet them.
“When does the invite expire?” Dave was curious.
“There’s no expiration date on it.” Fey looks over the card carefully.
“Well, why don’t we head home first and put our gear away? After we do that, make arrangements to spend some time in LA?” Dave wouldn’t mind visiting his apartment. He missed being home.
He had his girlfriend check on it, collect his mail, and leave it on the counter. He also didn’t bring anything with him that was suitable for the Magic Castle. He owned a nice suit that he only wore for special occasions.
“Sounds good. What do you wear to the Magic Castle?” Fey finishes undressing and sits down on her bed, holding her iPad while still wearing her bra and panties.
Dave pays no mind to Fey as she sits on the edge of her bed, half nude. He was used to her antics being around her and didn’t see her as a sex object. He starts undressing and walks into the bathroom to shower since Fey will be busy researching the Magic Castle.
Fey looks at the requirements and notices she must buy a lovely dress and some jewelry. She hoped Jessica would help her because she had no idea what would be nice to wear.
Mandatory Dinner Attire:
For our evening dining experience, we insist upon the following dress code:
Elegant dresses, evening gowns, or pantsuits accompanied by a blazer, with discretion exercised to ensure modesty and appropriateness.
A complete suit with a tie comprising dress shoes, dress pants paired with a coordinating blazer, and a collared shirt with a tie.
Exceptions where a tie is not obligatory:
Banded collar shirts (those without the traditional folded collar).
Full turtlenecks (mock turtlenecks are not considered acceptable).
Ascots, bolo ties, or bow ties are suitable alternatives to traditional neckties.
Fey wonders if Dave has a nice suit to wear. If she were still a guy, it would be no problem. Guys aren’t expected to dress up as beautiful as women. Why is there a double standard in dress codes for women and men?
The Castle had a different requirement if they went for Brunch. She would prefer to go during dinner.
Mandatory Brunch Attire:
Brunch at our establishment aims for an ambiance that is both chic and relaxed. Our daytime dress code adheres to a classic sensibility when it comes to dressing.
• Casual dress pants, such as Capris or Khakis.
• Dress shirts or sports shirts with collars (Sport coats and ties are generally not required but may be necessary for special events).
• Sun dresses and skirts.
• Dress shoes, with trousers requiring socks.
• Attire for minors should mirror that of adults.
Fey falls backward onto her bed and stares at the ceiling while listening to the shower. The Magic Castle and The Academy of Magical Arts were every magician's dream to visit. Fey knew if you could become a member of the Magic Castle. You can become a member of the Academy. She thought about joining when she first started but never followed through.
As far as she knew, the academy didn’t care if you were born a natural male or female. All they cared about was if you were a magician or not. She just lay there and waited for Dave to finish in the shower.
Dave steps out of the bathroom, drying his hair. He spotted Fey lying on her back on her bed with her iPad next to her.
“What did you find out?” As Dave reaches for the iPad.
Fey sits up and looks at Dave. “That guys have it easy. I’m going to go and take my shower while you read the requirements.”
Fey gets up and removes her bra and panties. Her groin area looked like an ordinary woman, but it wasn’t. Her friend Brandy taught her how to tuck her puny penis and make it look like she had a woman’s vaginal area. Brandy removed her other testicle because it was so small from taking all the illegal hormones she had been taking.
It was a good thing that Brandy was a trained gynecologist. It was also good that she knew a lot about the male reproductive system. Brandy was able to remove her only working testicle and shape her groin area to look like a woman’s.
Fey puts her dirty undergarments in the laundry lingerie bag in her suitcase. She grabs her favorite shampoo and conditioner, walks into the bathroom, and shuts the door behind her. She sets the water temperature for the shower, steps into the tub, and takes her shower.
Dave looks over the requirements on the tablet. He figures Fey will want to go for dinner. He also noticed that they could catch a show while there.
He starts getting dressed while Fey is in the shower. Dave couldn’t believe how popular he and Fey had become since she caused the two robbers to leave Popeye’s. They have been playing at different venues these past two months, and they still have a few performances coming up in the next few months.
While in LA, he and Fey should check out the Cecconi's and Black Rabbit Rose. They were scheduled to perform at those places later in the year. They had never heard of those places until their booking agent contacted them, saying the managers had requested the businesses.
Once Dave was dressed, he started packing up his stuff. They were checking out later and driving back home. He tidied up the hotel room after packing some of Fey’s things.
Fey finishes her shower and dries her hair. She walks back into the room and notices Dave tidying the place up.
“Thanks, Dave.”
“You’re welcome.” Dave takes a soda out of the minifridge and pops it open.
Fey and Dave leave an hour before their prop truck. All their props and gear had been loaded and secured. The head driver and roadie, James Nelson, ensured they left nothing behind. He and his helper Jason would deliver their equipment to the theater tomorrow.
As Dave and Fey are driving back. Dave glances over towards Fey and notices she is napping. She leaned her head against her pillow and had her earbuds in. He was listening to his favorite station on Pandora. He knew Fey always fell asleep when they traveled by car.
Usually, she starts the trip reading depending on how long the ride is. She would fall asleep. Sometimes, she would drive and listen to her collection of music. While she was driving, he would watch where they were going.
Fey wakes up when he stops at a rest stop. She rubs the sleep from her eyes and looks at Dave. “Why have we stopped?”
“Because I have to pee. I suggest you go to the bathroom as well.” Dave gets out of the car.
Fey slips her tennis shoes on and gets out as well. She stretches and starts walking toward the women’s restroom. She was glad that Brandy did what she did to her.
She takes some wet naps from her pocket and cleans the toilet seat before sitting on it. No sooner does her butt hit the toilet seat than her bladder releases its contents? At the same time, Fey sits there and does her business. She wonders how much longer they have before she arrives home.
After finishing her business and cleaning herself, she wash her hands. As she walks out of the restroom, she spots a vending machine. She walks over to it and selects a few bags of chips and a diet soda.
Fey selects another soda for Dave. He didn’t like eating while he was driving. She walks out to the car and spots Dave waiting on her.
“I grabbed you a Pepsi from the vending machine.” As she hands it to him.
“Thanks.” As Dave accepts the soda.
“You’re welcome. So, how much later before we arrive home?” Fey takes a sip from her bottle.
“Two more hours. What are you going to do when we get home?” Dave takes a sip from his bottle.
“Order some dinner from The Golden Peacock. Afterwards, take a nice bubble bath. Tomorrow, go shopping for a nice dress to wear to the Magic Castle.”
“I’m lucky in that case. I already have a nice suit and dress shoes to wear. Also, don’t forget we must find another location to store our props. The storage area we were given at the theater is filling up.”
“I know. When do you want to go to LA?”
“How about two weeks from now?” Dave starts walking towards his car.
“Sounds good. That will allow us to catch up on any schoolwork we missed.”
“I didn’t miss any. Did you?”
“Nope, I’m all caught up. Still, it doesn’t hurt to double-check. I got a scholarship that I have to maintain my grades to keep.” Fey didn’t tell
Jessica everything about the scholarships she applied for.
“That makes sense. Now, let's get back on the road.” As Dave gets into his car.
Fey follows suit. She fastens her seat belt and slips her tennis shoes off. She opens one of the bags of chips and munches on the contents. She watches as Dave gets back on the highway and drives home.
When Fey arrives home later in the evening, she orders Chinese food from The Golden Peacock. She changes out of her blue jeans and slips on her nightshirt. While waiting for her food to arrive, Fey selects a movie on Disney Plus.
After Fey’s delivery arrives, she eats it while watching another movie. Soon after, she starts to fall asleep on the sofa. She snuggles under the throw blanket covering her and closes her eyes.
Jessica came home late and noticed Fey sound asleep on the sofa. A smile appears on her face as she quietly makes her way to her bedroom, trying not to wake Fey. She manages to make it to her bedroom without waking Fey.
Fey’s alarm goes off on her cell phone. She reaches over to the coffee table and fumbles around for her cell phone until she feels it. She touches the snooze button and goes back to sleep. Eleven minutes later, her alarm goes off again. She tosses the throw blanket covering her over the back of the sofa and sits up. She reaches for her cell phone and turns the alarm off.
She stands up, heads towards the bathroom, and does her morning business. She was so glad to be home but wished she didn’t have so many things to do this week. After washing her hands and flushing the toilet, Fey stumbles towards the kitchen and brews some coffee in her favorite coffee cup.
While Fey waits for the coffee maker to brew, she pulls some frozen Texas cheese toast from the freezer and puts it in the toaster oven to heat up. Fey adds some sugar and cream to her coffee after brewing.
“Mmmm!!!” Fey loves the taste of Almond Joy creamer in her coffee.
When the toaster oven dings, letting her know her toast is ready. She puts the slices on a paper plate and sits at the small kitchen table to eat them. She scrolls through the news article and can’t believe twelve kids had been killed by some maniac with an assault-style weapon.
The maniac was pissed off because his favorite team lost. All because someone said it was because of the president rigging the game.
“How stupid do you have to be to believe that lie?” Fey wonders what is happening to people’s common sense and intelligence nowadays.
What has ever happened to people with common sense and decency? Is there something in the water they are drinking or the food they are eating? She may disagree with her parent's beliefs, but at least they don’t go out shooting all the transgender people they come across.
Fey goes on Facebook and spots some cartoons she watched when she was little. She shares the post with her friends. She exits from Facebook and enjoys her toast and coffee.
After breakfast, Fey gets dressed and leaves a text for Jessica to meet up later for lunch. She grabs her car keys and heads to the theater to see if James has arrived yet with their gear. She parks in her usual parking space and uses her key to enter the theater.
She checks where she stores her props but doesn’t see any of the ones they took. She checks out the ones they left behind and wonders what she will do with them. The vanishing cabinet and the burning trunk were popular with the audience.
After checking out her and Dave’s props, Fey leaves the theater and drives downtown to a realtor’s office. One of the drag queens she knows from The Rainbow Cowboy Lounge was a realtor. He dealt in commercial real estate.
Fey parks her vehicle next to her friend’s car and enters the real estate office. Members from the LGBTQ community staffed the place. She spots the bright red-haired receptionist.
“Hi, I’m here to see Lee Frances.” Fey smiles at the young woman.
Robin looked up and saw Fey Nightwatcher standing before her. She had gone to see her at the theater when she performed.
“Let me see if he is in, Mrs. Nightwatcher.” Robin pressed Frances's extension on her phone.
After a few seconds, “Hello?”
“Mr. Frances, Mrs. Nightwatcher is here to see you.” Robin knew Lee would be surprised.
Lee was surprised to hear that Mrs. Nightwatcher was here to see him. He knew who she was. Most people in town knew who Mrs. Nightwatcher and her assistant, Dave Lamb, were.
“I’ll be right there, Robin.”
“Alright.” Robin ends the call.
She puts the receiver back on the cradle and looks at Mrs. Nightwatcher.
“He’s on his way here, Mrs. Nightwatcher. If you don’t mind waiting, you can wait over there for him.” Robin points towards a waiting area.
“Thank you.” Fey turns and walks over to the waiting area and sits down.
While waiting, her cell phone beeped, letting her know a text message had arrived. She pulls her cell phone out of her purse and looks at it. She noticed it was from Jessica. She reads the text:
“Where do you want to meet?”
Fey responds with, “How about Angelo’s?”
Jessica: “Sounds good. When?”
Fey: “How about in an hour?” Fey knew it was around 10:30.
Jessica: “Alright, I’ll meet you at Angelo’s at noon.”
Fey: “Sounds good.”
Fey puts her cell phone back in her purse and waits for Lee to appear. She looked around the waiting area and noticed how it appealed to both genders. She hopes Lee has something within her and Dave’s budget. That was the nice thing about storing their props at the theater. It was one less bill they had to cover.
Lee walks into the reception area and spots Fey Nightwatcher. A smile appears on his face. He has seen her perform a few times at the Rainbow Cowboy with her friend Jessica Stone. He walks up to her and extends his hand to her.
“Mrs. Nightwatcher, it’s so nice to meet you in person. What can I do for you today?” Lee shakes Fey’s hand.
Fey returns Lee’s handshake. “I’m looking for a place to store my props and practice.”
“I think I can help you with that. Do you have an area in town that you prefer to have your storage place at?" Lee knew some of his clients were particular about some regions of the town.
“As long as it is close to the theater and the college.” Fey wanted the location to be central between the two.
“I think I know of three locations in that area. If you’ll, follow me. I’ll show you what I have and arrange for you and your assistant to meet me there for a visual inspection.”
“Lead on, Mr. Frances.” Fey follows Lee back to his office.
Angelo’s Italian Restaurant:
“You must have been tired last night when you returned from Charlotte.” Jessica looks at Fey as she takes a sip of her tea.
“I was. We did three shows, and all of them were different. We didn’t want the audience to get bored with the same tricks and illusions.” Fey was glad Jessica agreed to meet with her for lunch.
“So, what did you do today?” Jessica wondered what her friend had been up to this morning.
“I went to see Lee Frances about renting a place to store my and Dave’s props. We also plan on using it to develop and practice our act.”
Fey was glad that Lee had some warehouses that would come in handy for storing the props she and Dave used in their acts and to develop new acts. If nothing else, they could create the act at the warehouse and perform them at the theater. This way, no one would know what they would perform or how they did it.
“Can you and Dave afford a place to store your props?” Jessica knew Fey didn’t have much money, except recently, since her popularity had risen.
“Between the gigs we have been performing and the shows we have lined up already. We can pay rent on the place for the next five years in advance.” Fey has already done the math and looked at their upcoming shows.
“You guys are doing that well?” Jessica knew Fey had been busy but hadn’t realized she was doing that well.
“Yes.” Fey was glad they were doing good.
“But won’t that affect your scholarship grant? Won’t the two organizations want to reduce the money they have given you?” Jessica knew Fey was happy when she got the grant.
She also applied for it and was given a grant for being a lesbian. Now, she could spend some of her hard-earned money on bills and rent. Plus, she could afford to go out every once in a while.
“No, but something you might find interesting. One of the grants available is for up-and-coming stage magicians and escapologists. Dave and I applied for it for our act.” When Fey saw it, she forwarded a copy to Dave so he could also apply.
“You’re joking?” Jessica nearly choked on her Greek salad when she heard what Fey said.
“Nope, I’m not joking. I will use some of the funds to buy a few more performing costumes and a new dress.” Fey has already thought about it and figured she could deduct the cost of the dress from her taxes.
“What do you need a new dress for?” Jessica was curious.
“This.” As Fey hands the invite for her and Dave to Jessica.
Jessica reads the invite and the signature on it. She had no idea who Henry Robbins was, but she liked how his name changed color when you changed how you held the invite. She looks at Fey. “Who is Henry Robbins? And why did he invite you and Dave?” Jessica had a puzzled look on her face.
“Henry Robbins is one of the top ten magicians and illusionists around. As for why he invited me and Dave, I don’t know. However, the place he invited us to is for members only, and the only way you can get in is to be invited.”
“What is so special about this place?” Jessica has never heard or seen the name before.
“The place is called the Magic Castle, and it's only for those who are prestidigitators. You have to be invited to join. A non-prestidigitator can join, but they must take a magic class before joining, and their membership is minimal.” Fey was excited about going.
“So, why do you need to buy a new dress for this place?” Jessica was still puzzled.
“Because of the dress code. Here, look at this.” Fey brings the dress code up on her cell phone and hands it to Jessica.
Jessica returned the invite to Fey and accepted her cell phone in exchange. She starts reading the dress code for the place. She notices Fey is telling the truth about the place. It was for members only, and you had to be a prestidigitator to join.
“When are you and Dave planning on going?”
“To LA or the Magic Castle?” Jessica wonders how long she had to help Fey.
“In two weeks for LA and for dinner. You know how I am when I wake up.” Fey didn’t want to go during brunch.
“Well, at least we have time to find you a dress. I will tell you now. This dress is going to be expensive.”
“Why? Can’t I buy a dress off the rack to wear?” Fey was confused.
“Nope, you need one tailor to your unique figure. Women like us have difficulty finding something that properly supports our ladies. Plus, we need to get you the proper undergarments and shoes.” Jessica knew what clothes Fey owned, and none of them would cut it.
“Why do guys have it so easy?” Fey knew becoming a woman was expensive.
“Because men don’t care how they look unless they try to get a woman’s attention. Women, on the other hand, compete with each other, and we like looking beautiful.” Jessica knew Fey used to be a male.
“Thanks for helping me, Jessica.” Fey was happy she had Jessica to help her.
“Well, you are like a little sister to me. Plus, I like helping you.” Jessica smiles at Fey as she eats her lunch.
“Thanks.” Fey smiles back at Jessica and enjoys her lunch.
After lunch, Jessica and Fey go dress and clothes shopping. They first try some high-end stores that cater to high school students and brides. Afterwards, they try a few other places.
For a few days, Fey and Jessica spent the afternoons shopping for dresses. During the morning, Dave and Fey checked out a few places that Lee gave them to check out. They finally found a place, which would require some rewiring and remodeling.
They hire Mr. Thompson and his small construction crew to do the work. Since Dave knew Mr. Thompson, Fey let him organize with him. She arranges their flight and hotel reservations. She knew what Dave liked and what she liked.
They hire a security company to monitor their storage place. Some of the props they owned were very rare and expensive to replace. Fey and Dave made most of them, but some were vintage and built long ago.
Dave built a work area, so they needed to rewire the place. Some of the wiring wasn’t up to date, and the breaker box needed to be replaced. They also built a stage to practice on.
When they left to go to LA, Dave and Fey were excited. Dave, because other than going to visit family on the holidays. He has never been to the West Coast before. He knew one of the biggest magic supply shops was located in Chinatown, and he wanted to visit it while they were in LA.
As for Fey, she has never been past the Appalachian Mountains. She’s lived on the East Coast all her life and couldn’t wait to see what LA was like. She also wanted to visit the magic supply shop in Chinatown. She has read a lot about it and knew it did custom equipment for performers like her and Dave.
When they left the airport, it was three in the afternoon. By the time they landed at LAX, it was noon time.
“Man, talk about going back in time.” Fey stretched as they waited for their luggage.
Dave checks his Apple watch and notices the time has changed. He didn’t know if it would do that or not.
“Why are you checking your watch?” Fey was puzzled why Dave was checking his watch.
“Checking to see if my watch would change the time on its own.” Dave looks into Fey’s bright blue eyes.
“Oh!” Fey wonders why that matter to him.
“Are we catching a cab or did you rent us a car?” Dave pushes the luggage rack while he follows Fey.
“I rented us a car. Catching a cab or Uber everywhere will get expensive.” Fey figures they could figure out where they were going with the Google map app on their phones and in the car.
After they get the car they rented, Dave volunteers to drive. He noticed the vehicle had an Android entertainment interface. He links his phone with it and follows Google's directions to their hotel.
The hotel they were staying at, was a block away from the Magic Castle. Fey managed to find a nice one close to the Castle. She learned that the dress code was very strict. If you didn’t adhesive to it. You were either denied entry or forced to wear a pink wristband around your wrist.
Once Fey and Dave checked in at their hotel. They decided to have dinner at the restaurant at the hotel. Their reservation for the Magic Castle was for tomorrow.
“I wonder who is performing at the Castle tomorrow night?” Fey takes a sip from her iced tea.
“I don’t know, but from everything I have researched so far. They always have three different shows going on.” Dave knew how excited Fey was because he felt the same way.
Their meal was served to them by a young woman. She was attentive and observant of their needs. They leave a nice tip for her. The meal itself was expensive, but they have encountered this before at some of their gigs.
Fey and Dave decide to go out and walk around. It was nice out compared to the weather back home.
“It’s nice here.” Fey was enjoying the weather.
“Yeah, it's not windy and chilly like it is back home.” Dave was enjoying the climate as well.
“Do you think Mr. Robbins liked our act?” Fey was thinking about the act they performed.
“He must have, considering he left us the invite.” Dave figures Mr. Robbins liked their style of magic.
While Fey and Dave are out, they stop at a coffee shop. There was a poetry reading going on. Dave watches Fey as she listens to a young man reciting a poem. He knew she still missed her former boyfriend.
Later, they walk back to their hotel. There were a few places the two of them planned on visiting tomorrow. The first one was the magic shop in Chinatown.
When morning arrives, Fey takes a little extra time getting out of bed. She was feeling the jet lag and wanted to stay in bed. She turns to look over towards Dave and notices her was still asleep. A smirk appears on her face, as she slowly gets out of bed takes a shower, and does her morning business. She tries to keep it quiet so Dave won’t wake up.
After she was done with her shower and putting her undergarments on. She watches as Dave starts rubbing his eyes.
“Morning, sleepy head.”
Dave looks at Fey as she selects a nice dress. He notices that she selected a fitted nude slip to wear under her dress. The slip hugged her curvy body, enhancing how she looked.
“Give me twenty minutes.” Dave finally gets out of bed and goes about doing his morning business.
After Dave is ready, He and Fey have breakfast at a nearby restaurant. After they finished breakfast, they followed the directions to the magic shop in Chinatown. When they arrive and start exploring the place. They feel overwhelmed with all the available stuff.
They are informed by the attendant helping them. If there is any custom item or device they would like made. They will ship it to them.
Fey and Dave end up buying a lot of gear for their act. They even put together a new act on the spot, after locating certain items they wanted to buy. Fey pays for the gear and fills out the shipping address for the items to be delivered.
Afterward, Fey and Dave do some more sightseeing. They were going to make their time in LA count. They spend the day sightseeing and trying some unique foods while out.
Later, they return to their hotel and get ready to go to the Magic Castle. Fey was so nervous and wanted to make a good impression. She redoes her makeup several times until she gets it right.
She looks over towards Dave and he looks like he came from money. His hair was well groomed and the suit he was wearing looked like it was very expensive.
“Man, you look like a million dollars, Dave.” Fey liked how he looked.
“Thanks. You look pretty good yourself.” Dave loved the dress Fey had on. It supported her breasts and showed some cleavage, but not too
much where it went against the dress code of the Magic Castle.
“She’ll we go and see what mischief we can get into?” A playful smile appears on Fey’s face.
“Yes, let’s go and have some fun.” Dave holds his arm out for Fey to take.
A smile appears on Fey’s face as she takes his arm. The two of them leave the hotel room and take a cab over to the Magic Castle. Fey couldn’t wait to see what the place was like.
The front of the place looked like a mansion for a rich person from the past. They pay the cab fare and stand in front of the building.
“Wow! It’s like it’s from the past.”
“I know.” Dave was impressed as well. He takes a picture of the place.
“Let’s go inside and see the rest of the place.” Fey wanted to go inside.
“Alright.” Dave escorts Fey towards the entrance of the place.
They are greeted by an elderly gentleman at the door.
“Greetings, welcome to the Magic Castle. Are you members?” Edric looks at the young woman and the gentleman standing next to her.
“No sir, but we were given an invitation by a member.” Fey looks towards Dave since he has it.
“May I see it, please?” Edric holds his hand out for it.
Dave pulls the invite out from a secret pocket inside his suit jacket. He flips it over and hands it to the older gentleman.
“Thank you, sir.” Edric accepts the invite and notices it was printed on the special card stock all members are given.
He pulls out a set of old-style wire-rimmed glasses. He puts them on and looks at the invite for the special watermark. After finding the special invisible watermark. He looks at the holographic signature to see who their sponsor is. He recognized the name right away.
A smile appears on Edric’s face. He looks at Dave and Fey “It seems Mrs. Nightwatcher and Mr. Lamb that you two have impressed one of our more distinguished members.”
Fey looks at the gentleman with a shocked look on her face. How did this gentleman know their name?
A smile appears on Edric’s old weathered face. There was amusement in his brown eyes “You didn’t think I wouldn’t know who the two of you, were. Did you?”
“We did think we were on anyone’s radar.” Dave was surprised he knew who they were.
“The magic council has been watching the two of you for some time now. Mr. Robbins must have thought it was time for you two to be offered
membership.” Edric knew if a member thought some up-and-coming magicians should be allowed to join. They would get permission from the council before approaching them.
“We didn’t know we were being watched.” Fey was surprised to hear that admission.
“You were, but we can discuss more about that, later. Enjoy your visit and dinner.” Edric steps aside to let Fey and Dave into the Castle.
They are met by a middle-aged woman and escorted down to the dining area. Fey couldn’t believe all the framed posters mounted on the wall of past and current members. They pass one poster of a woman escaping from an Iron Maiden. She had rainbow color hair and was wearing an old-style magician’s suit designed for a woman with a long coat tail. She was wearing black stockings over her shapely legs.
Further on down the hallway, they pass another poster of a woman walking out of a bonfire with a huge fiery bird in the background. The flames were covering her body, but not burning her. She was wearing an outfit similar to the one she saw before on the other poster, but fishnet stockings were covering her legs and she had bright red hair.
Nearby on the other wall was another woman with bunnies on her chest escaping from a box. The box was in another container filled with a liquid substance. The headline on the poster read “Can The Bunny Escape In Time?”
As they moved further down the hallway. There was a poster of a young woman surfing on a playing card. She was wearing an outfit that made her look like she was from a playing card. She had bright red hair as well. Where the Bunny performer had white hair.
“Excuse me, but are these posters from all the members here?” Fey looks towards the woman.
“Yes, every poster you see are member of the Magic Academy. Starting with one of the founders of the academy to our newest member.” Tina points to a middle-aged man walking down from on top of a building toward the ground without any stairs or support.
“Man, I would like to know how he is doing that.” Dave liked that trick.
“When you become a member. You’ll have access to our vast library of tricks that have been performed throughout the years.” Tina knew every member had submitted some of their specialized tricks during their career. That way the trick will live on after their death.
Tina escorts the two new members to the dining area. She escorts them over to an empty table “Your waiter will be with you in a few minutes. Enjoy your free meal.”
Fey looks at Tina “Free meal?”
“Yes, free meal. Compliments of Henry Robbins.” Tina saw the surprised look on the young woman’s face.
“Okay.” Fey was puzzled.
“If you don’t mind me asking, why is the meal free?” Dave was curious.
“Because he arranged it. You see when you handed this invite to Mr. Edric. He read the secret instructions written in invisible ink on the invite.” Tina pulls out a special pair of glasses and shows Fey and Dave the writing.
“Amazing. I would have never thought about that.” Fey was amazed and so was Dave.
A smile appears on Tina’s face. She knew it was a security measure to keep fake invites from being used.
“Enjoy your meal and show.” As Tina turns and walks off.
Fey looks towards Dave “I think becoming a member here, has its advantages.”
“I think you're right, but I still want to make sure the advantages out way the disadvantages.” Dave liked to be safe when joining something.
Their waiter shows up and takes their order. After he leaves, Fey looks around and spots several performers she has seen on television. She looks towards Dave “Do you see who I see?”
“Yes, I do.” Dave spotted the same people Fey did.
“Hey, isn’t that one of the people from the poster?” Fey spotted a woman with neon blue hair, sitting with the woman with the bunnies on her chest.
“Yeah, and she is sitting with another person from the poster.” Dave noticed the reddish-orange-haired woman who was holding fireballs in her hands while being surrounded by fire.
Fey and Dave look around some more and notice other magicians they have either seen or haven’t seen before. There were a few that had competed on British Got Talent and America Got Talent as well.
Fey looks at Dave “I’m glad Mr. Robbins gave us that invite.”
“Me too.” Dave was happy that they were selected to come to the Castle.
After dinner, Fey and Dave catch the two scheduled acts for that night. While the two of them watch the performance. Dave make mental notes on how the act was performed.
He loved seeing new ways to perform old tricks and illusions. The second performance they stayed for was really good. The woman they saw earlier, was performing it. She went by the stage name of Spiro and she was really good when it came to the illusions she performed. He couldn’t figure out how she did her trick.
By the time Fey and Dave leave the Magic Castle. They were energized and wanted to stay all night. They were issued temporary passes that were good for four days. Afterward, they had to decide if they wanted permanent membership.
When Fey and Dave arrive back to their hotel room. Both of them had the necessary forms they needed to fill out.
“Dave, can you unzip me, please?” Fey turns around to give access to her back.
“Sure.” Dave unzips Fey’s dress.
“Thanks.” Fey lets her dress fall to the floor. She steps out of it and picks it up. She gives it a gentle shake and a light dust shakes off.
“Hey, look what came off my dress.” Fey gives her dress a second shake and a light dust comes off.
“I wonder if they did that to me?” Dave shakes his suit jacket and the same thing happens.
“I wonder why they did that?” Fey runs a brush through her hair and the dust comes off.
“Who knows? That place is an enigma concealed inside of an enigma.” Dave was still trying to figure the place out.
“Well, I think becoming a member, is worth it.” Fey puts on her nightshirt and changes her underwear.
“I agree. When we get up tomorrow. I want to check out those other venues we are booked to perform at.” Dave had planned on that since leaving home.
“That’s reasonable. It will give us some idea on what show we should perform.” Fey covers up a yawn as she gets into bed.
Normally, she stays up and reads for a while, but tonight she was tired. She closes her eyes and drifts off to sleep. While Fey is sleeping, she has an interesting dream. She dreams she is in Ancient Greece standing inside of a cave.
When she looked up at the ceiling of the cave, she could see the universe. As she looks around the cave. It was like she was surrounded by the universe. A figure in ancient Greek clothing comes walking towards her. She recognizes the figure from her studies of Greek gods.
The person was Hekate. If she remembered correctly, she was the only daughter of the Titans Perses and Asteria and helped the goddess Demeter look for her daughter Persephone. She never thought the myths were true.
Hekate stops before the strange woman standing before her. She could tell she wasn’t a true woman because she had male parts. This woman and her partner have drawn her attention. She could feel that the two would one day become the embodiment of magic.
She reaches forward and brushes aside a loose lock of hair hanging down and covering one of Fey’s eyes. She smiles as some of her energies transfer from her into Fey.
“It’s time you became whole.” As Hekate touches the center of Fey’s forehead.
Fey feels a burning sensation as energy flows throughout her body. Her voice was caught in her throat. White light feels her eyesight as everything becomes blurry.
Her body was trashing around under the blankets and sheets covering her on the body. Sweat leaked from her as her body physically changed. She could hear moaning coming from beside her. She couldn’t see anything. Everything was bright white to her.
Dave was experiencing the same thing as Fey, but different things were going on with him. He felt the burning sensation of the godly power as it coursed throughout his body. It becomes one with his soul.
When morning comes, both of them wake up in a pool of sweat. Fey body hurts, but she doesn’t know why. Dave felt the same way and didn’t know why either. Both of them don’t understand why they are lying in a pool of their sweat.
“What happened last night?” Fey was having a hard time focusing.
“I don’t know. Was it something we ate or drunk?” Dave was feeling tired and sore.
“Do you want to share a shower or shower alone?” Fey has only shown once with Dave.
“Let’s share. I might need you to support me.” Dave was feeling so sore.
“Good, because I might need you to support me as well.” Fey slowly and painfully gets out of bed.
Her stomach and abdomen area were hurting her. It felt like someone moved things around in her body. Her chest felt heavier like someone added some weight to her chest. She didn’t notice any changes, but they did weigh more.
Fey and Dave help one another to the bathroom and take a shower. They scrub each other’s bodies. When Dave touched Fey, she shivered from his touch.
He knew Fey had never responded to him touching her. It didn’t bother him, because she saw him like a trusted brother. Someone she could talk to about her problems like she did with Jessica.
Fey couldn’t believe she shivered from Dave touching her. Something stirred inside of her and it bothered her. She always thought of Dave as a brother.
“Do you want to go out for breakfast or order room service?” Dave looks at Fey for an answer. She was still feeling worn out.
“Let’s go out. I would hate to be here when the maids come in and change our sheets.” Fey felt a little embarrassed because she felt like she
might have peed her bed.
“Maybe the fresh air will help us.” Dave still felt weird.
“Maybe.” Fey tries putting on her favorite bra. As she is trying to put it on, she finds out she needs to readjust it.
She has never had to readjust her bra before. It has always been the same. She settles her ladies into the cups and notices they fill the cups better. Her breasts felt better being supported by her bra.
She puts on a pair of slacks that show off her shapely legs. She chooses a nice blouse to wear and fixes her hair. Once her hair was done. She puts on some light makeup and slips on her low-heeled shoes.
“Are you ready, Fey?” Dave was wearing a nice polo shirt and a pair of dress slacks.
Normally, he wore tennis shoes, but today he had on a pair of nice loafers. They leave the hotel and go out looking for a nice place to have breakfast. While they were walking down the street, the two of them felt different. It wasn’t something they could put their fingers on.
“You know, I had a weird dream last night.” Fey looks towards Dave.
“What was it about?” Dave’s curiosity was piqued.
“I don’t know how to put it. It was like I was standing in the center of the universe. While I was standing there, the Greek Goddess Hekate approached me. After that, I can’t recall anything.” Fey was still puzzled as to why the Greek goddess visited her.
Fey and Dave managed to find a nice place to have breakfast. The place only specialized in breakfast and lunch. Fey orders an omelet with sausage links and toast.
While they are waiting Dave looks at Fey “I was visited by her as well. She touched the center of my forehead and the next thing I knew. I couldn’t see anything at all. I felt pain travel throughout my body.”
“I wonder why she visited us?” Fey was curious why they were visited.
“I don’t know, but I think it’s a sign that we should join the Castle.”
“I think you’re right.” Dave takes a sip from the coffee he ordered.
After breakfast, they drive to the other venues they have been hired to perform at. Since they never have been in LA before, there were still a few places they wanted to visit, before heading home.
Universal Studios Hollywood, Los Angeles, California:
Fey and Dave decided to tour Universal Studios before heading home. They were still feeling under the weather from what was done to them. Fey had noticed that when she was getting dressed. She noticed the areola on her breasts was a dark color and a little bigger. She also noticed her nipples were a little bigger.
Fey knew what her breasts were supposed to look like and normally she didn’t pay much attention to them. However, they have been acting differently than what she was used to. They were heavier and rounder. Not to mention how her nipples and areolas were.
As Fey and Dave are enjoying the tour of the studio, they spot a lightly tanned young woman with shoulder-length red hair, wearing ancient-looking gladiatorial armor. Both of them noticed that there was a presence behind her. They see her spin quickly around while drawing the sword hanging on her waist.
A creature had appeared behind her from the shadows. The sword sliced right through the creature, cutting it in two. It disappears as fast as it had appeared.
They just stared at the woman in surprise and noticed none of the other people around them had noticed what just happened. They continue to watch as the woman sheaths her sword and looks in their direction. The young woman waves at them as she disappears.
“Did we just see what we saw?” Fey looks to Dave for an answer.
“You mean a woman with red hair, wearing gladiatorial armor using a sword to slice through some sort of creature that appeared out of the shadow? Yeah.” Dave couldn’t believe what he saw.
Fey looks around at the other tourists riding with her and Dave. They showed no sign of showing that they had seen anything. Their tour guide hadn’t even stopped to comment on what went on. She was too busy talking about the history of the section they were passing through.
“Something weird is going on here.”
“I agree, with you. Something strange is going on here.” Dave had a confused look on his face.
As the tour continued, they would spot the same woman again and again. It was like she was watching over them. By the time the tour ends, they are approached by the same woman they have been seeing all day.
However, this time she wasn’t wearing the armor they first saw her in. She was wearing a sleeveless blouse and a skirt that stopped about mid-thigh. Her shoulder-length red hair was gathered into a ponytail being held by a silver brooch.
Fey and Dave watch as the red-haired teenage woman approaches them. She stops a few feet from them and holds out her hand to them “Hi, I’m Nike. I’ve been sent to protect and watch over you two.”
Dave noticed that when Nike held out her hand, a golden bracer covered her forearm. However, when he saw her, she wasn’t wearing one. He tentatively shakes her hand and notices her hand is very soft. Nike’s hand also felt a little warm as well.
“Why can I see your arm bracer now, but I couldn’t before?” Dave looks directly into Nike’s aqua-blue eyes.
“Because your vision has been enhanced. The magical energies inside of you are slowly awakening.” Nike knew her bracers could only be able to be seen by people with magical abilities.
Dave lets go of Nike’s hand. He had felt a tingling sensation when he touched her hand. If he had to compare it, it was like grabbing a wire with electricity going through it.
Fey had been watching and listening to Nike and Dave. She was surprised as well, when the bracers on Nike’s forehand had appeared when Dave touched Nike’s hand. The bracer seemed to have some sort of design engraved on them.
“Why are you here?” Fey was curious and had several more questions for this Nike person.
“It’s my job to watch over you two until you learn how to protect yourselves.” Nike was assigned to protect Fey and Dave from the creatures that would seek them out.
“What do you mean until we're able to protect ourselves? What is the hell going on?” Fey hated to be kept in the dark.
“Look, I know you guys have a lot of questions to ask me, but this isn’t the time or the place to ask them.” Nike was looking at the people walking around them and looking towards them.
“You're right. Let’s go and get something to eat.” Dave had to agree with Nike. He noticed they were drawing a crowd.
“Fine, where to?” Fey looks towards Nike for an answer.
“I know the perfect place. They serve the best Greek food around.” A smile appears on Nike’s face.
Dave escorts Fey and Nike back to their rental. After they get into the car, he follows Nike’s directions to the restaurant. They are escorted to a nice table by a young woman a little older than Fey.
Once they place their order, Dave looks at Nike “All right, spill the beans.”
“What do you want to know?” Nike looked at Dave and could see he had been touched by a powerful being.
“What was that thing we saw you slice in half with your sword?” Fey was curious about that.
“That was called a Nightwalker. They come from a dimension parallel to this one. They feed on mystical creatures and places. It felt your
presence and was looking for you two.”
“Why was it looking for us?” Dave was curious.
“Are you kidding me? You two are like beacons right now. A blind man can feel the magical energies coming off you two. Whomever you encountered or touched you. They have left their mark on you by supercharging your magical energies. The first thing I need to do is teach you how to hide your magical energies so you don’t draw attention to yourself.”
“What happens if we draw unwanted attention?” Fey was curious about that.
“Well, it depends on who you draw attention from. If it’s a Nightwalker, you’ll be sucked dry of your magical energies and turn into a raisin. If you draw the attention of an energy vampire. They will keep you alive and use you as their personal battery. Leaving you just enough energy to live, but unable to do anything else. If a demon gets ahold of you, you’ll become its plaything. That’s if it doesn’t try to possess your body and or influence you to do its bidding.” Nike has seen some nasty things since she was given a second chance at life.
“Why us? Why not someone else?” Dave wanted to know the answer to that question.
Nike shrugs her shoulders. She didn’t know the answer to that question.
“What is that supposed to mean?” Dave wanted an answer.
“It means I have no idea. I do what I’m told to do. Look, I know all of this sounds like a faerie tail, but it's very real and very dangerous. Until you two can protect yourselves, it's my job to keep you alive and teach you how to use your magical abilities.” Nike wishes she knew why these two people. Unfortunately, she wasn’t privileged to that bit of information.
After lunch, Nike, Fey, and Dave went exploring some of L.A. Since Fey and Dave had already visited the venues where they were scheduled to perform. They along with Nike visited some of the more historical sites in L.A.
“So, Nike. Why were you chosen to train me and Fey?” Dave looks at Nike as they walk down the street.
“Well, it's repayment for giving me a second chance at life.” Nike was thankful that she was given a second chance.
“What happened to you?” Fey was curious about their new guardian.
“Let’s just say that me and my father didn’t get along.” Nike shivers from the memory of what her father did to her and her siblings. She was happy that he was paying for his crimes against them.
“So, which god or goddess sent you to train and protect us?” Dave was curious.
“I was given a second chance by Hades. I am a descendant of one of Nyx’s offspring. She wasn’t happy with what happened to one of her grandchildren. So, she persuaded Lord Hades to let me come back.”
“Why would Greek gods take an interest in me and Dave?” Fey had a confused look on her face.
“Beats me. The fates must have something important for you two. All I was instructed was to train you two and protect you.”
“I noticed when we saw you. That you were wearing gladiatorial armor. Did you use to be a gladiator?” Dave wanted to know why Nike was dressed that way.
“Yes, I was forced to fight in the gladiatorial circuit by my father. He sold me to a man who bought and trained gladiators. I learned he bought me, mostly for fodder to feed to the loins. However, it seemed I was pretty good against my opponents.”
“So, if you don’t mind me asking. How did you die?” Dave figures she must have died.
“I was ambushed by the gladiator’s friends. Somehow they managed to locate where I was and attacked me.”
“I hope you took some of them with you.” Fey would try like hell to take as many as she could with her.
“I managed to kill two of them and seriously mane the other two. Just before I died.”
“That wasn’t fair. Four against one.” Fey thought that was unfair.
“They knew how dangerous I was with a weapon and without one. It turned out, they had been hired to kill me.”
“How did you learn that?” Dave wanted to know.
“I was told by my grandmother. She found out the truth and begged Nyx to bring me back for revenge.”
“Did you get your revenge?” Fey was curious.
“Yes and in return I was assigned to protect and train you two. I have to say, your time is a lot different than anything I am used to.” Nike was still getting over how life had changed.
“So, how are you going to teach us to use our magical abilities? Do you possess mystical abilities?” Fey figures if the gods were going to send someone to teach magic. They should send someone who can do it.
“I have some magical abilities. After all, I am a descendant of the Greek Goddess Nyx.” Nike had some mystical abilities.
“You do know, we don’t live here in L.A., don’t you?” Dave wonders if Nike knew this.
“I know. I was given information by one of the oracles. I also know you two are attending college as well.” Nike has learned everything about them.
“Why us?” Dave was curious about that.
“Don’t know. I think we covered this question when we first met.” Nike looks at Dave and smiles.
“Well, today is our last day here. Why don’t we catch a show and call it a day?”
“Sounds like a plan.” Nike loved the modern shows she has seen so far.
The rest of the day, Nike, Fey, and Dave enjoy the rest of their time in L.A.
Fey’s Bedroom:
Fey stretches as her alarm goes off. She was still feeling jetlag after coming home last night. She also had a hard time sleeping with her breasts being as big as they were. She was lucky that most of the bras she owns still fit her. She did pickup a few new ones while in L.A.
Fey looks at her cell phone to see what time it was and notices it was nine in the morning. She knew Jessica would be at work already. She rolls out of bed and walks into the bathroom. She does her morning routine and looks at her reflection in the mirror.
Her face still looked the same, but it has softened up some. It has become feminine looking. Her whole body had become more feminine looking. Her hips, waist, legs, toes, feet, arms, fingers, and buttocks all look more feminine. After brushing her hair and washing her face. Fey walks out of the bathroom towards the kitchen.
Whatever the goddess did to her, Fey could feel it in her bones. Fey wonders if the vagina the goddess gave her, was fully functional. She’ll have to make a gynecologist appointment to see what the goddess did to her. Also, to see if everything was operational.
While Fey waits for her coffee to brew. She pulls out some frozen waffles and heat up some sausage links. Once her coffee was brewed and the waffles and sausages were cooked. She sits down at the kitchen table and eats. She listens to the news, which was disappointing. The weatherman was calling for rain later in the day.
After breakfast, Fey leaves her apartment and drives over to her and Dave’s new training and storage building. Since the building was so big, she offered some of the space to the theater so they could clear some space up.
Once Fey arrives at the building. She checks everything out that they were going to use for their upcoming gigs. She wonders where her and Dave’s new babysitter was.
Fey changes out of her street clothes and into her leotard and ballet shoes. She goes about practicing some escape moves and one routine. She knew Dave might be either in school or taking care of some personal stuff.
While Fey is hanging upstand down by a rope trying to escape. She spots Nike stepping out of some sort of silvery portal.
Nike’s Place:
Nike was surprised when she arrived at her place. It was a small ranch style house with four bedrooms and a vast library filled with various mystical books and scrolls. Everything was different then it uses to be from the era she came from.
It has taken her at least three years to adjust to the modern world. She should be nearer to her chargers, but they were safe for now. That shadow walker that appeared had been drawn to them by accident. Still, once Fey and Dave start learning how to harness the magical energies that has been unlocked in them.
Nike stretches as she walks towards the kitchen. Her body shows the scars form her past life. Some of them you could only see up close, but she has some major ones that lead to her bleeding out.
Nike fixes herself a Greek coffee and eats a fruit pastry she bought yesterday from a pastry store. She didn’t take a plane home like her chargers. She opened up a portal and walked through. Since the anchor of the portal was the full-length mirror in her bedroom. All she needed was a doorway to open another one and link it to her mirror.
After Nike finishes her coffee, she goes and take a bath. She misses the huge pools from her time. She uses to love bathing in the pools when she could. Being a gladiator had some privileges, but being a slave being forced to fight for her life. That was a different story.
Nick leans her head back against the back of the huge tub and closes her eyes. She now knew how the wealthy in Rome felt. When the water starts getting cold, she mumbles a few words and the water heats back up. She knew she needed to go outside and start working on the site she was going to train Dave and Fey. She needed to purify it and set up the circle boundaries, dig a fire pit and build an altar.
Nike sighs as she gets out of the tub and dry off. She watches as the water drains from the handcrafted copper tub. She was lucky that she found something so old and still intact. She walks into her bedroom and start getting ready for the day and what she has to do.
Dave’s Place:
Dave was happy to be home. He loved L.A., but he loved home more. He was still shocked over what had happened to him and Fey. He always thought things like God/dresses were myths. He never thought they had ever been real.
Now, he had no idea what to believe. He knew when the goddess touched him, he felt her touch against his forehead. The thing was, why him and Fey? What was so special about them?
He steps into the shower and thinks about the question as the water from the shower cascades over his body. He knew Fey was happy that she finally had the body she should have been born with. He always felt sorry that Fey didn’t have the body she always wanted.
He knew what it felt like to be born differently. He had been born with dyslexia, and it took a lot of hard work to overcome it. He still has times when he has to concentrate to overcome it. On top of being born with dyslexia. He used to be extremely skinny as a child. He worked hard to have the build he had now.
As for Nike, it was hard to believe that she was a person from ancient Rome. Also, it was hard to believe she was related to an ancient goddess and used to be a gladiator. He gets out of the shower and dries off.
Dave walks into his bedroom and puts on a polo shirt and a pair of dress slacks. He combs his hair and puts on some cologne. He had a meeting today with a potential client. Besides being a stage magician, he had a side hustle in antique restoration.
He learned how to restore antiques from his uncle. It turned out, that he was good at it and he enjoyed it. When he wasn’t in college or performing. He would take on restoration jobs.
The guy he had a meeting with today, had several antique dressers he wanted restored. He knew the person from past jobs he had done for the guy. Dave finishes getting ready grabs his keys and walks out to his SUV.
Dave drives to the guy’s house to speak with him about the restoration job. When Dave arrives, he parks along the curb and walks up to the front door. The door opens and he is greeted by a middle-aged woman.
“Hello, Clair. Is Mark home?” A smile appears on Dave’s face.
“He’s in the den waiting for you. Please come in.” Clair opens the door more and steps to the side letting Dave in.
Dave walks into the house. Clair shuts the door behind him and escorts Dave to the den where her husband is waiting for Dave.
“How was your trip to California?” Clair knew Dave had gone to California with his associate.
“It was nice and weird at the same time.”
“I can believe that. Everything I’ve heard about L.A. makes it sound like anything could happen there.” Clair has been keeping up with the news
and saw the homeless people living on the streets and prostitutes on the street corners and in the streets as well.
Two hours later, after loading and securing the two dressers onto a trailer. Dave heads towards the warehouse he and Fey were using for practice and storage of their gear. When he pulls up to the loading dock, he notices Fey’s car.
He shakes his head as he gets out and walks into the warehouse. He spots Fey hanging upside down by her feet and trying to escape from the straight jacket she is wearing.
“You couldn’t wait until I got here, could you?” Dave walks over lowers Fey back down onto the floor and helps Fey with the straight jacket.
“I wanted to get some practice in. What have you been up to?” As Fey removes the straight jacket.
“I had a meeting this morning with a client. Can you give me a hand unloading two dressers?”
“Sure, let me get the handcart.” Fey dusts herself off and grabs the furniture handcart they use around the warehouse to move their equipment.
“God, these things weigh a lot.” Fey helps Dave lift the dressers off the trailer and up onto the dock.
“There from the 18th century and made from solid wood.” Dave pushes up on the dresser.
After Dave and Fey get both dressers lifted onto the loading dock. Dave climbs up onto the dock and helps Fey move the dressers over to his work area.
“Dave, what do you think about what Nike told us?” Fey wanted to see what Dave thought.
“I don’t know. I saw that creature and it gave me the chills.” Dave remembers seeing the creature that Nike killed.
“I saw it too. The thing is, why us? Other people are more suited to do what is expected of us.” Fey closes the loading dock door and walks over to Dave’s work area.
“I agree.” Dave has been wondering about that question as well. Why them? What makes them so special?
Fey sits down on one of the bar stools at Dave’s work table. She looks towards her friend and wonders what makes him and her so special. Sure, they work great together and such, but why choose them to fight supernatural creatures and such? Why give them magical abilities and turn her into what she should have been born as?
Dave noticed Fey was deep in thought. He figures she was thinking about the whole thing situation.
“Penny for your thoughts.”
“Sorry, I’m just trying to figure things out.” Fey picks up a nail lying on the table toss it into the air and catches it.
“Well, we have several gigs coming up and we’re supposed to go and see Nike tomorrow. I wonder where this is going to take us?”
“Who knows? I still have to explain to Jessica how I got my kitty.” Fey wasn’t looking forward to that.
“Speaking of that. Are you going to see a gynecologist?”
“I have an appointment with you for Friday. I never needed one before, but now that I’m a fully operational woman. I’m going to go ahead and get a full physical.”
“That’s a good idea. So, how did you manage to get yourself in the straight jacket without me securing you?” Dave was puzzled about that.
A smirk appears on Fey’s face “A magician never tells their secret.”
Fey’s Apartment:
“Damn, girl. I can’t believe the story you told me or the fact you’re a fully functional woman now.” Jessica walks around Fey’s naked body examining her.
Jessica was surprised by the story Fey had told her about being changed into a fully functional woman by an ancient Greek Goddess. Now that she was seeing Fey’s naked body for herself. She believes what Fey told her.
“Did it hurt when she changed you?” Jessica hands Fey her house robe.
“Thanks. No, it was like a warm feeling coursing throughout my body. The goddess enhanced some aspects of my body and shrunk other parts of my body.” Fey sits down on her vanity chair.
Jessica sits down on the corner of Fey’s bed. She doesn’t know what to make of all of this information. She knew this was what Fey had always wanted. She knew that Fey wanted to feel whole and hated how she looked.
“And the reason she chose you and Dave is to protect humanity from magical creatures?” Jessica still found that odd.
“I know it sounds weird, but if you had seen the creature she took down at the park. You would think twice about the world around you.” Fey shivers from the memory.
“Well, just be careful doing whatever it is you and Dave are going to be doing. Also, have you made an appointment with a gynecologist yet?”
“I have an appointment with one tomorrow morning.” Fey managed to make an appointment with the same one Jessica saw.
“Well, after you see her. I’ll take you out shopping for maxi pads and tampons and show you how to use them. Since you might perform on your monthly cycle, I’ll show you the best tampons to wear while you're performing.”
“Thanks, Jessica. I don’t know if I could have ever passed as a woman without your help.” Fey gets up and walks over to Jessica and hugs her.
Jessica returns Fey’s hug. “I didn’t do much, except give you some pointers.”
“Still, you don’t know how much that means to me.” Fey steps back from Jessica to look at her.
“I’m glad I could help you. Now, why don’t you get dressed, and we’ll go and get some breakfast.” Jessica stands up to leave Fey’s bedroom.
“Sounds like a plan.” Fey turns around walks over to her dresser and pulls out a pair of thong panties and a matching bra.
“Being daring today?” As Jessica walks out of Fey’s bedroom.
A smirk appears on Jessica’s face as she walks into the hallway. She wonders how Fey is going to act now that she is a woman physically. She knew Fey had never allowed herself to get involved with anyone. Now, that Fey is physically a woman. She wonders if that will change.
Fey goes about getting ready to go out. She puts on one of her favorite gauze skirts and a nice top to go with it. The skirt felt comfortable on her and knew if the sunlight hit it just right. You could see if she was wearing any panties underneath.
Fey grabs a pair of low heels to wear with it. She brushes her hair and lets it rest on her shoulders. She applies light makeup and a pair of fake diamond earrings to wear. She looks at her reflection in the mirror and smiles.
Fey grabs her purse and walks out of her bedroom. She walks into the living room and spots Jessica browsing through one of the magazines they received.
“I’m ready.”
Jessica puts the magazine down and stands up. She looks Fey over and smiles.
“You know if I didn’t think of you as my little sister and already have a girlfriend. I might try to seduce you.”
“That would be interesting, considering I haven’t decided which way I swing.” Fey knew sex didn’t mean much to her.
Sure she would love to see what it felt like to have a guy make love to her. That has always been her dream but at the same time. She has heard and caught glimpses of the sex acts Jessica and her girlfriend have performed on each other. She would like to see how it felt as well.
Fey and Jessica head towards their favorite breakfast place to have breakfast. While they are waiting for their meal, after ordering it. Fey notices two new girls that have been hired.
“It looks like Sammy hired two new waitresses.” Fey spots one refilling a coffee cup and the other one is carrying a huge tray with several orders on it.
Jessica looks around and spots the two new girls as well. Both of them were young and had nice figures. One of them she thought she recognized from the clubs she and her girlfriend go to. The other one, she didn’t recognize.
She watched them as they moved about the diner. The first new girl Jessica noticed had some moves. She navigated between the tables like a pro with her hands full. The other girl wasn’t as talented as the first one, but she did alright.
“I wonder who the new girls are?” Fey watches them as they move.
“You could always ask, Debbie.” Jessica looks at Fey when she suggests that.
“I might do that. Dave and I have been talking about hiring a new assistant for our act.” Fey takes her cell phone out snaps a few pictures of the new waitresses and sends them to Dave to see what he thinks.
Once their breakfast arrives. They enjoy the meal and make small talk about things and what the rest of the week is going to be like. After leaving the diner, they do some window shopping. It was a nice day out and Fey loved shopping and spending time with Jessica.
They stop and buy some feminine products for Fey. Since they won’t know how bad her period will be. They buy an assortment pack of pads and tampons. That way Fey is covered.
Around midday or so, Fey and Jessica stop and have lunch at a tea house that had recently opened downtown. The place served all sorts of teas and coffee along with small light lunches. It was enough to take the edge off, but not to make you feel full.
The teas were freshly brewed and weren’t instant tea either. The coffee was the same way. They grind the coffee beans right there in the store.
They head home later in eh afternoon instead of ordering out. Fey makes her famous lasagna for dinner. They bought all the ingredients while they were out, before coming home.
Fey looks at Jessica as they sit on the sofa together. She owes Jessica a lot for helping her.
“Thanks for everything, Jessica.”
“You don’t need to thank me, Fey. Like I said before. You’re the little sister I wish I had while growing up.”
Fey drives towards the warehouse that she and Dave were using as their work area. Dave was working on a project and her visit to Dr. Banner’s office was weird. She had never had to put her legs in stirrups before, nor have someone poke around down below. She also didn’t like having her new vaginal opening, stretched by a metal speculum.
Dr. Banner did a pap smear and other tests every woman should have by her age. The good doctor also did a breast exam as well. She gave Fey a complete physical.
Fey spots Dave’s SUV already at the warehouse. She parks next to it and walks inside. She could already smell the stripper Dave used to strip the finish or paint off a piece of furniture he was working on.
Fey walks over to the area he was using to do the work on his furniture jobs. She stands back and just watches Dave as he works. She didn’t like interrupting him while he worked.
Dave finishes what he is doing and removes his respirator mask. He looks at Fey “How was your doctor's appointment?”
“She said I was going to live. How much longer before it's fully striped?” Fey noticed some areas that still needed more work.
“I should have everything done by this evening. Then I can go ahead and start repairing some of the damages to it.” Dave spotted a few things that looked like someone had repaired once before but was starting to come undone.
“Cool, you know we have a gig in California in about a week.”
“I know. You also know that Nike wants us to come over on Friday evening so she can start teaching us.” Dave wonders what Nike is going to teach them.
“I know. We have a full schedule of things we have to do. I’ve been wondering why us. Why not someone else?”
“You know Nike never really explained that to us. Maybe, we can ask her again this Friday and hopefully get a clear answer to the question.”
Dave knew Fey had her doubts about what Nike told them.
“Oh, what did you think about those pictures I sent you of the new waitresses?” Fey almost forgot about that.
“I think we shouldn’t poach from the diner. They have been nice to us in the past.” Dave knew they had given them discounts on their meal.
“Yeah, you’re right. We could always do some auditions to find one.” Fey knew that would take time, and then depending on how well-trained the person was. They would have to bring the person up to speed on their tricks.
“I might know someone that would be a good assistant. She recently started doing tricks and is willing to work for someone.” Dave was thinking about Sammy, his best friend’s niece.
“I’m game. Has she come to the theater for an interview and demonstration?”
“When?”
“How about on Thursday around one?” Fey didn’t have anything planned for Thursday.
“Thursday is good for me as well. I’ll let Sammy know. Oh, one more thing. She’s like you used to be.” Dave figured he should be upfront with Fey about that.
“That’s fine. You know me, I judge a person on their merit, not on their gender or beliefs.”
“I know. Well, I better get back to work.” Dave puts his respirator mask back on.
Fey walks away and over to some of the gear they were going to use in their act. She checks them out before leaving and picking up some dinner for her and Jessica.
“Fey, how do you and Dave do this night after night?” Sammy looks at Fey as she finishes applying her makeup.
“Practice, practice, and more practice.” Fey knew it took a lot to get ready.
Fey liked Sammy’s audition and her perky disposition. She had an energy about her that the crowd would love. She had an adorable face and cute looks. She also didn’t need much instruction in how to act as the assistant either.
Sammy’s outfit was similar to Fey’s outfit. Both of them had that old-style look to them. She also had her top hat that she performed magic tricks with. She could do tricks to distract the audience, while Fey and Dave do the main trick.
“Are you nervous?” Fey knew Sammy hadn’t performed for a large audience before.
“Is it that obvious?” Sammy looked at Fey when she responded.
“Yes, but I have a trick for that. Close your eyes and take a deep breath.”
Sammy does as Fey suggests. She closes her eyes and center herself. She breathes in through her nose and exhales through her mouth.
Fey watches Sammy as she breathes. “Now, center yourself and feel the energies of the room around you.”
Sammy does as Fey says and can feel the energy of their dressing room surrounding her. She reached out with her feelings and could see the room in her mind. She knew where Fey was standing and could feel her aura.
Fey could feel Sammy’s energy and could see she was relaxing. She could even feel that Sammy was probing her. A smile appears on her face, as a new idea for training Sammy comes to mind. Nike would be proud of her, for what she was thinking.
“Okay, slowly open your eyes and look at me.” Fey watches as Sammy slowly opens her eyes.
Sammy opened her eyes and felt more relaxed. She was no longer nervous and was ready to start the show.
“How do you feel?”
“Ready to start the show.” Sammy was ready to perform.
“Then, let’s get going.” A smile appears on Fey’s face as she puts her top hat on and starts walking out of their dressing room.
Sammy walks behind Fey as they join Dave. She had things she needed to do before Fey and Dave joined her out on stage. She walks out on the stage and prepares the crowd for Dave and Fey.
For the next hour, Sammy assists Fey and Dave with their act. She enjoyed herself as they let her do a few magic tricks to entertain the crowd, while they were busy with a very complex trick. It required a lot of prep time and the stagehands helped with it.
By the time the trick is ready, Sammy does her part as she watches the audience's reaction. A sly smile appears on her face when Dave and Fey perform the act. It was a dangerous performance, but it was thrilling and exciting as well.
“I need a shower.” Sammy couldn’t believe how sweaty she had gotten under those stage lights.
She had sweat in her armpits and down in her groin area. Her penis was hurting her, from being tucked for so long. She learned from Fey that Fey used to be a transgender person, before being changed by a Greek goddess.
Fey turns around and hands Sammy a box of wet wipes “Here, you can use these to clean yourself. Also, if your tucking is bothering you. You might want to wear a dress or a skirt to give your birth defect a chance to relax.”
“Thanks, Fey.” Sammy accepts the wet napkins.
“You’re welcome.” Fey changes out of her wet performing outfit.
Later, after Fey, Sammy, and Dave change. They attend an after-hour party hosted by a famous socialite. This was something Fey and Dave were going to have to get used to.
They stayed until four in the morning, before taking an Uber back to the hotel they were staying at. Fey notices that Sammy is tired.
“I think we wore her out, Dave.” Fey lets Sammy rest her head on her shoulder.
“I think you’re right. Did you notice the young man who stayed by her side at the party?” Dave had noticed how young Mr. Lake had stayed by Sammy’s side all night long.
“I did. I wonder if he has the hots for her.” Fey will have to talk with Sammy and warn her about dating guys who didn’t know she was trans.
“I’m going to say, yes.” A grin appears on Dave’s face.
When they arrive back at their hotel. Dave helps Fey carry Sammy upstairs to the hotel room they were sharing. He lets Fey undress Sammy, while he jumps into the shower.
Bellagio Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevade:
“Man, I can’t believe we are performing here.” Sammy was excited as the limo they were in pulled up in front of the Bellagio Hotel & Casino.”
“I know what you mean. I can’t believe our booking agent got us a month's residence.” Dave couldn’t believe they were going to be performing four times a week at the hotel.
“I wonder how Tiffanie managed to get us this gig?” Fey knew it couldn’t be very easy to get this type of agreement.
“Can we go to the casino?” Sammy wanted to try her luck.
“Yes, but only certain games.” Dave and Fey had been given a packet of the things they could and couldn’t do in the hotel.
They also had access to private areas normally reserved for high rollers and VIP’s. They had a bunch of conditions they had to follow while staying at the hotel. One of them was none of them could perform at any of the other hotels while staying at the hotel. Once their contract was up, they could perform at any of the other hotels.
“I’m glad our colleges are going to let us do our classes online.” Dave had classes he had to do and he knew Fey did too.
“Is it against the rules to let family or friends visit us while we are staying here?” Sammy was curious.
“No, were allowed to let family and friends visit us. We can get them a discount on their rooms and such.” Fey watches as some porters come out and unload their luggage.
Their gear and props were going to be delivered tomorrow. They had shipped everything they would need for their planned shows with a company named White Star Shipping. The company had a five-star rating and a good reputation.
The porters escort them up to the suite they will be staying in. The suite had a nice living area and three separate bedrooms for them. They had a large dressing room with a lounge area to entertain guests.
Once Fey, Sammy, and Dave were settled in and had their stuff put away. Sammy had changed into a swimsuit and was going to go and enjoy the pool.
“I’m off to the pool. See, you guys in a few hours.” As Sammy heads towards the door of the suite.
“Don’t forget, we have been invited to a party tomorrow night.” Dave had been surprised when they got the invite.
“I haven’t forgotten. I’ll be back in time to get ready.” Sammy waves as she leaves.
Dave turns towards Fey “You know Nike wasn’t too happy that we were going to be here for a month.”
“I know. However, she said that she might drop in on us, later.” Fey knew Nike was going to teach them some more about how to use their gift.
“Still, I’m surprised that we got a gig like this.” Fey had been surprised about the gig.
“I know. Well, I’m going to go and see what the casino is like.” Dave was thinking about playing a few games.
“Alright, I’m going to go over our performance schedule for this upcoming week.” Fey wanted to make sure everything was arranged.
“Okay.” Dave leaves the suite.
Fey sits down and brings the schedule up. They were booked for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday. This meant they needed to change the routine so that it wasn’t repetitive and the audience didn’t get bored with the act.
She’ll have to sit down with Dave and Sammy and go over how they could change the act up. Maybe let Sammy have the spotlight, while she or Dave act as her assistant. A smile appears on Fey’s face because it has been a long time since she been an assistant. She still had her old outfit and it still fit.
For dinner, she orders room service instead of going down to the restaurant. Since their equipment was supposed to arrive tomorrow. She’ll check it over and make sure nothing got damaged during shipping.
Hours later, Sammy returned and was in a good mood. She waves to Fey as she walks past her and into her bedroom. She walks into her bathroom and takes her bathing suit off. She took a quick shower down in the pool area to rinse the chemicals from the pool.
She sets the water temperature to what she likes and hops into the shower. She rinses her swimsuit off and hangs it up to dry. Afterward, she washes her body and hair. She stands under the water and lets the water cascade down her curves.
When she washes down in her groin area, she hated feeling her birth defect. The hormones she has been taking, have given her a nice chest and shrunk her birth defect, but she wishes it would just disappear. She hated it and hated being reminded that she had it.
After she is done showering, she wraps her long hair and steps out of the shower. She walks into her bedroom and slips on a pink silky nightgown slip dress. She orders some room service for herself and reads a book she brought with her while she waits for the food to arrive.
Things went well during Fey, Dave, and Sammy's first week of performing. Their tricks and illusions worked as they should. However, during their second week, things started going bad.
At first, they were just small things. In some of the escape acts they performed, the locks wouldn’t perform as they were designed to do. Or, Fey would get trapped inside one of their trick cabinets. Days later, Sammy would come down with a severe case of food poisoning. The food poisoning is so severe that it takes Sammy out of the act for a week.
At the beginning of the third week, some of their props catch fire without an explanation. The security personnel on duty didn’t notice anything unusual during their rounds. When they are performing one of their escape tricks involving a water tank, Fey’s outfit and undergarments dissolve while she is in the water—leaving her completely nude in the tank. The water inside the tank causes her skin to blister and turn red.
When the stagehands managed to break the tank's plexiglass to rescue Fey and get her out, the water inside turned her skin red. She was as red as a lobster from being boiled. Not only had her skin been burned so badly, her hair had turned pure white.
Dave hadn’t come out unscathed either—the standard handcuffs he used to escape from tightened on his wrist. They had tightened so much that they had to be cut off and removed right away before they cut through his wrist. Even after they had been removed, his wrist had a bloody ring circling his wrist where they broke through his skin.
Hotel management had to bring an end to their residence until whatever was causing these incidents was solved. They couldn’t risk that Fey,
Sammy, and Dave were killed during their act or someone from the audience was hurt by one of their performances.
One night, while Sammy was in their suite recovering from her food poisoning. Two mysterious figures appear from the shadows and start beating on her. She couldn’t tell who they were, but she managed to get a few good licks in on them before one of them hit her in her groin area.
The blow to her groin area was so severe that it shattered her pelvic region. When Dave and Fey returned to the suite, they found Sammy in the middle of the common area, bloody and unconscious. Fey does what she can to keep Sammy from slipping away while Dave calls the paramedics.
“How in the hell did this happen, and why her?” Fey was doing everything she could to keep Sammy from slipping away.
‘I don’t know, but this has gotten out of hand.” Dave’s wrists were bandaged up and barely working right.
The paramedics arrive and fly Sammy to the nearest hospital. Dave and Fey look around the suite and notice that everything is torn up and broken. It looked like the fight broke out in Sammy’s room and ended in the common area.
Fey and Dave, hear someone knocking on the door to their suite.
“I’ll get it.”
“Be careful.” Fey watches as Dave walks towards the main door to their suite.
“Who is it?” Dave had stepped to the side, using the wall to protect himself instead of standing behind the door.
“It’s me, Nike, your teacher.” Nike wonders why Dave is being so cautious.
Dave opens the door and steps in front of it. He spots Nike wearing a nice dress and open-toe heels.
“Come on in, Nike.” Dave steps aside to let her in.
Nike steps inside and notices the mess. She spots Fey and notices that Fey’s usually black hair is pure white, and her skin is bright red, like she spent too long in the sun. She also noticed certain areas on Fey’s body were covered in bandages.
She noticed Dave's wrists were covered in bandages, and his face was a little red. He also had circles under his eyes, like he hadn’t slept well.
“What the hell happened here? And to the two of you?” Nike wanted to know what happened to the people she was supposed to train.
“It’s a long story.” Fey was worried about Sammy.
“Then, start at the beginning while I help you clean this mess up.” Nike walks over to Fey and helps her stand up. While she was at it, she mumbled a few words and waved her hand at the bloody spot Fey had been kneeling next to.
“It began a week after we started performing. At first, some tiny things, like the locks or doors on some of our props, didn’t want to work right.
After that, several of our props caught fire and are now ruined. One of our escape tricks, dealing with our water tank, caused me to be severely burned and dissolved all the clothes I was wearing. I got blisters covering my body in places you don’t want them. The hair on my body has been turned pure white. Also, Sammy got severe food poisoning and has been laid up for a week and a half. She couldn’t keep anything down at all.
The handcuff trick we always do nearly detached Dave’s hands from his arms, and the wound isn’t healing like it should. We come home tonight from a meeting with the talent manager here and find Sammy beaten all to hell. Whoever attacked her damaged her groin area so severely that they might have smashed her pelvic region. Plus, the beating she received destroyed her face, and it looked like the attackers used some sort of bladed weapon on her.” Fey was finding it hard to keep everything together.
Nike reaches over, gathers Fey into her arms, and holds her. She cast a little spell onto Fey to find out what was used on her to turn her skin so red and cause blisters to form on her skin. The spell informs Nike that what was done to Fey was natural and magical. She could do nothing to either speed up the healing process or get rid of the things done to Fey.
After calming Fey down and letting her rest against an overturned chair, Nike walks over to look at Dave’s wrists and discovers a cursed item had been used on him. It neutralized his natural healing ability, and he would need a magical healer to restore his healing ability.
“Well, what did your magic tell you?” Dave looks into Nike’s eyes.
“I’ll need to call a friend to restore your natural healing ability. Also, a cursed item was used on you, and you're lucky to still have your hands.”
“A cursed item? How is that possible?” Dave was confused.
“Easy. If you find an object with an evil tint, you can always use black magic to enhance the darkness inside that item. It’s fairly easy to do, but it's not something I would do.” Nike rebandages Dave’s wrists.
“Can your friend help Sammy, Nike?” Fey was worried about their assistant.
“Yes, but she must be careful if Sammy is already hospitalized. The doctors will question how she managed to heal so fast.” Nike hopes Leto can help out.
“Let’s go ahead and finish getting this suite back into shape, and afterward, I’ll summon my friend to come and heal you guys and find out what happened to Sammy as well.” Nike starts picking up damaged stuff and uses a repair spell to fix it.
“I hope your friend can help me as well.” Fey hated feeling like she did.
“That is a good question; only she can answer it.”
Chalon Road, Los Angeles, California:
Fey wakes the next morning at the mansion Nike brought her, Sammy, and Dave to. The woman Nike introduced her to was beautiful-looking. She had shoulder-length blonde hair, olive skin, and blue eyes. The woman managed to return her skin and hair to their natural color.
As for Sammy, the woman managed to purge her of the toxin that had been introduced into her system. The doctors at the hospital couldn’t figure out what toxins had been introduced into her system or why they couldn’t get them out of her system. The blonde-haired woman came into her hospital room and made her drink some sweet-tasting medicine.
Two hours later, she was cured and weak as a kitten. Sammy found out that the woman’s name who cured her and was giving her a clean bill of health was named Leto. Nike and Leto picked her up and brought her to a beautiful mansion, where Leto healed Fey and Dave.
Fey, Dave, Nike, and Sammy were sitting outside in the courtyard of the mansion. They could smell the food Leto was preparing for them. Leto also made them special fruit drinks that she told them to drink. It would restore the magical energies all of them had lost.
Leto comes walking out of the house carrying a tray of several covered dishes. She balances the tray as she unloads the covered dishes to the middle of the table. She notices no one has touched their fruit drinks yet.
“You need to drink those fruit drinks to restore your magical energies. Now, drink up or I’m going to have you run my obstacle course for the next four hours.” Leto looks at all four of them.
“Yes ma’am.” Sammy picks up her glass and takes a sip of it. She was expecting some strange taste, but when she took a sip from her glass. It tasted really good.
Fey took a sip from her glass and loved the taste of the fruit drink. She watches as Dave takes a sip from his glass. She notices he loves the taste as much as she does.
“Good, now go ahead and start serving yourself. There’s plenty of food here for all four of you.”
Nike looks towards Leto “You’re not eating?”
“I had a fruit salad this morning before I started cooking. Now, the three of you need this food.” Leto watches as the three people she came to help start eating.
A smile appears on Nike’s face. She knew no one could argue with Leto. Leto was very old, but wise at the same time. Also, there was
something unique about Leto, that she couldn’t put her finger on.
The trio eats the breakfast cooked for them by Leto. They noticed that Leto was drinking a glass of some unknown golden color liquid. Sammy was curious “Ms. Leto, what is that you are drinking?”
“It’s an elixir that my uncle makes. I would recommend it to you, but it’s a little strong and not suited for normal people.” Leto looks at the young people sitting at the table.
“How are you ladies and gentlemen feeling?” Leto noticed that the three people who needed her help looked to be doing better.
“Better, thank you, ma’am.” Dave looked towards Leto and was feeling a whole lot better now.
“Yes, thank you, Ms. Leto.” Sammy was feeling better after eating the food prepared by Leto.
After breakfast, Fey volunteers to put away everything. While Fey is putting everything away and cleaning the dirty dishes. She watches as Leto, Nike, Sammy, and Dave talk outside. She wondered what they were talking about. She also wonders who has been tampering with her equipment and why.
Fey finishes cleaning the dishes and putting away everything. She stepped outside and walked back over to where the others were still sitting.
“Ms. Leto, do you know what was used on me?”
“No, but I did know how to counter it. Nike told me that you, Dave, and now your assistant have the magic gene in you. Do you know how or who you inherited the gene from?” Leto was curious about Fey.
“No ma’am, I don’t.” Fey didn’t know much about her family, except what her parents did and what her brothers did.
“Well, I think you need to dig into your family tree and see who might have had the gene. Normally, magic is passed down through the blood in your family.”
“How come?” Fey was curious.
“Well, some people are naturally born with the gift but aren’t strong. So, they sometimes intermarry with supernatural creatures or people like me who have strong magical connections.”
“What do you mean, people like you?” Fey was curious now.
“Didn’t Nike, tell you?” Leto had a curious look on her face.
“No ma’am. She never told us.” Fey looks towards Nike when she says that.
“I thought you should tell them, Leto. After all, it's your secret to reveal.” Nike looks at Leto.
“Very well.” Leto looks towards Fey, Sammy, and Dave.
Sammy has been sitting quietly thinking and listening to the conversation going on between Leto and Fey. She wonders why Leto said that she possesses a magical gene as well. Now she was curious as to who this Leto person was.
“So?” Fey looks at Leto with a puzzled look on her face.
“How to put this.” Leto thinks for a few seconds, and an idea pops into her head.
“Well?” Dave was curious as well.
“Have you ever watched the movie called Clash of The Titans?” Leto looks at all three people when she references that movie.
“Yes, I have.” Dave has seen it.
“I have as well,” Fey remembers watching it with her father.
“I haven’t.” Sammy has never even heard about the movie.
Leto looks towards Sammy “How about Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief?”
“I’ve watched that movie.” Sammy loved the first two movies.
“Are you saying you’re a demigod?” Fey now knew why Leto picked those two movies.
They were about demigods, children who were part god and part mortal.
“Yes, I’m one of the Greek God Apollo’s children.” Leto watches the other's response.
“You got to be kidding, us.” Fey looks at Leto and then Nike.
“She’s telling the truth. She’s over two hundred years old.” Nike had a serious look on her face.
“Wow!” Dave was surprised and seriously looked at Leto.
“So, the stories about Greek gods and goddesses are true?” Sammy was amazed as well.
“Yes, there are currently twenty demigods around the world. I have two daughters who have my blood running through their veins.”
“Are they anything like you?” Fey was curious.
“No, my youngest has minor healing abilities and my oldest daughter is a lot like her aunt Artemis. She’s a protector of animals.”
“Wow, the world has just gotten a lot stranger.” Dave couldn’t believe how things were changing around him.
“I know this a lot, but feel free to ask me anything and I’ll try to answer as honestly as I can.”
“Thank you, Leto.” Fey knew Sammy and Dave had a bunch of questions like she did.
Fey was sitting out by the pool in the nude. Leto encouraged them to walk around or spend time in their birthday suit. Dave wasn’t comfortable with the idea of walking around in his birthday suit, so he wore a Speedo instead.
None of them wanted to go back home, but they knew they had to. She had college to finish and Dave had his refurbishing company that he loved doing when they weren’t performing. The situation they found themselves in had been straightened out with the talent manager at the casino. All their equipment has been sent back to their warehouse.
Sammy comes walking out in her birthday suit. She couldn’t believe what Leto had done to her body. She loved finally being one hundred percent a woman now.
“You look happy Sammy.” Fey noticed how much happier Sammy was now.
“I am. I can’t believe Leto was able to do what she did to my body.” Sammy loved how she looked. She didn’t have to pretend anymore and could finally have sex with any man she wanted to.
“I know what you mean. When I was finally given the body I had always wanted. I couldn’t believe how much of a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.” Fey still hasn’t experienced having sex with anyone yet, since she has been turned.
“Well, I’m going to be careful with whoever I have sex with. Leto warned me, that I could easily become pregnant until my body adjusted to how it is now. She said my periods and cycle are going to be a little off.”
“You better carry around some rubber duckies in your purse, just in case the man you're with doesn’t carry any with him.” Fey knew she had a few in her purse.
“I planned on it. I don’t want to become a mother at this age.”
“I don’t blame you. I’m surprised that Leto was capable of changing your gender.” Fey didn’t know Ms. Leto was that powerful.
“I don’t know. You’ll have to speak with her. I never knew there were actual demigods in this world. I always thought they were just myths.” Sammy was surprised by Leto’s admission.
“So many things have changed since Nike has come out to us.” Fey was wondering where Nike was right now.
“Well, I’m going to get some tan on this pale body of mine.” Sammy lays down on a lounger and puts some suntan lotion on her body.
Nike looks out of the house towards Fey, Sammy, and Dave. She didn’t know Sammy had mystical abilities until Leto said something. She turns around to look at Leto “Who do you think pulled those pranks on my charges?”
“Could be almost anyone, but if I had to point my finger at anyone. It would be Prank. He’s undisciplined and loves messing with newbies like your charges.” Leto was slicing up some fruits for lunch.
“I remember the little shit. He has no morals or code he lives by. He thinks everything is a joke.” Nike spanked the little prick the last time he played a prank on her.
“Well, he can’t trespass here, because of my wards. You might want to do the same to their places as well. If he knows where they live and perform, he’ll come after them. What drew you to that Fey person?” Leto looks towards Nike for an answer.
“I was instructed to train her and her partner. I didn’t realize she knew someone else who had a trace of mystical ability in them.” Nike walks over to the counter where Leto is.
“I was amazed as you were. I hope that correcting the birth defect that Sammy girl will make her life better.” Leto pops a piece of fruit into her mouth.
“Thanks for letting us crash here at your place.” Nike knew her charges needed someplace safe to recover.
“No problem. I haven’t been back on this side of the pond since I helped Athena with her daughter.”
“Speaking of daughters. How are your two doing?” Nike knew Leto loved her daughters.
“They are fine. Angela is driving the poachers in Africa crazy with what she has been doing. Every time a new bounty is put out on her, she goes after the people who are sponsoring. As for my other daughter. She’s helping several villages and doing what she can, without pissing off any other gods. You know how other pantheons can get.”
“Yeah, I do. So, do you think my charges will survive what is coming towards them?” Nike was concerned about Fey and them.
“If you train them right, I think they will. It all depends on their training. I would volunteer to help you train them, but I’m forbidden to help you, other then what I have.” Leto knows she was forbidden to do more then what she has already done.
“I know and thanks for healing them.” Nike knew she ahd her work cut out for her.
“Anytime.”
“God! It’s so nice to be home.” Fey walks into the apartment she shared with Jessica.
She knew Jessica was at work and wouldn’t be home for several hours, so she texted her to let her know she was returning home today. Dave met up with his boyfriend, and they were going out to dinner. Sammy was enjoying her new body and surprised her roommate.
Fey empties her luggage and puts away all her clean clothes. She makes sure they are folded neatly and hung up properly. Once all her clothes, shoes, and nickknacks are put away, she walks into the kitchen and checks to see what Jessica has in the refrigerator.
When she opened it, she noticed that Jessica hadn’t done any real shopping. She had bought a lot of fast, quick meals that could be heated up quickly.
“Looks like I’m going to the grocery store.” Fey grabs her car keys and walks downstairs to her car.
The drive to the store didn’t take her long. Fey pulled into the parking lot and parked. She got out of her car and walked into the store. She had some ideas about what she wanted to buy and headed towards the aisles to get them.
While walking around the store, Fey picks out items she wants to buy. She spots a young woman pushing a shopping cart with a little boy in front of her. The woman had shoulder-length blonde hair with red streaks and wore dark sunglasses inside the building. Her fingernails were painted blood red but weren’t godly or gothic.
She also felt some weird energy coming from her. Fey couldn’t focus on her feelings, but the energy felt cold, like an arctic breeze that chilled you to the bones. As for the little boy, he felt normal. There wasn’t anything special about him, but she could see a silver cord connecting him to the woman.
Fey is surprised when the woman turns around to look at her. The woman lowers the sunglasses she is wearing, and a sweet smile appears on her pale face as she looks at Fey.
Fey walks up to her. “Who are you?”
“I’m Hokee Axson. The question is, who are you?” Hokee looks at the young woman standing near her.
“I’m Fey Nightwatcher. Who is this cutey?” Fey looks at the cute little boy sitting in the shopping cart.
“This little devil is my son Simon.” A smile appears on Hokee’s pale face when she mentions her son’s name.
Fey noticed how proud she was of her son. She could see it on Hokee’s face.
“How old is Simon?” Fey was looking at the little boy.
“He’s five years old.” Hokee was surprised when she discovered she was pregnant with him.
The reason was that she wasn’t purely human. She was a grim reaper, and grim reapers were considered dead. In her case, she became a grim reaper from drinking her mother’s breast milk when she was just a newborn.
Ever since then, she has followed in her mother’s footsteps, reaping people’s souls. That was until she met Rube while on a job. He was a normal human who owned a construction company. The person she had been sent to reap worked for him.
After she took the person's soul, she and Rube started dating. A year later, their son was born. She was surprised, and so were her father and mother. Her son was spoiled by her parents and brother.
Fey leans closer to Hokee. “If you don’t mind me asking, what are you?”
A smirk appears on Hokee’s face. “I’m complicated.”
“Okay, that could mean a lot of different things.” Fey could feel the coldness coming off of Hokee.
“Let’s walk while I explain.” Hokee starts walking while casting a spell that prevents others from listening to them talk.
Fey follows Hokee as she continues her shopping. She was curious about this woman. As for the little boy, she wasn’t picking up anything unusual about him.
“I’m what you call a grim reaper. It’s my job to escort the souls of the people whose time has expired. I’m also the adopted daughter of a powerful Werewolf as well. My adopted mother is a grim reaper as well.”
“Wait a minute. Are you saying there is more than one Grim Reaper? I always thought there was just one.”
“Yes, there is more than one grim reaper. One grim reaper can’t harvest or escort all those who have died. Not all of us escort human beings.
Some of us harvest the souls of animals. We each have a special department in which we work.”
“Which department do you work in?” Fey couldn’t wait to tell Dave or Nike, who she had met today.
“I’ve been assigned to the department of Supernatural creatures and magical beings like yourself.” Hokee looks at Fey when she says that.
“You could tell I was supernatural?” Fey was surprised.
“I felt you the minute you walked into the store. I’m not here to harvest your soul. It’s my day off and not your time yet.”
“You can tell when someone is going to die?” Fey wonders when her time will come.
“Yes, because of the gift I inherited from my mother. You will have a long and fruitful life.” A playful smile appears on Hokee’s face when she says that.
“So, you know who I will meet and spend my life with?” Fey wonders if Hokee could.
“Only Cupid and fate know that information. I can tell you how long you will live.”
“Okay.” Fey was learning a lot from Hokee.
The two of them continue to talk and shop. By the time they were checking out. Fey and Hokee had exchanged information and promised to keep
in touch with one another.
A few days later:
“Let me get this straight. You met a grim reaper grocery shopping? What, was he buying bones and harvesting the souls from the meat department?” Dave looked at Fey with a joking look on his face.
“No goofball. She was grocery shopping with her little boy. According to her, there are a bunch of grim reapers around. They blend in with society to help people pass on. One grim reaper couldn’t do that type of job because there are a lot of souls passing on every day.”
“So, how does a person become a Grim Reaper?” Dave digs the post hole a little deeper.
“I didn’t ask and she didn’t volunteer that information.” Fey was mixing the concrete for the post hole.
“I have to say I didn’t expect to meet a supernatural person. I just wanted to do some shopping and go back home.” Fey picks a post up and plants it in the hole. She uses a hand vibrator against the post to make sure it settles properly.
“Well, I’m just happy to be home.” Dave enjoyed the sex he and his boyfriend had.
“I bet Sammy isn’t. She called me and told me how surprised her parents were about her body being changed. They thought she had surgery, but we both know she didn’t.” Fey checked the level of the post to make sure it was straight.
She volunteered to come over to Dave’s place to help add a veranda to the back of his place. Dave was a very close friend and he has done a bunch of things for her. She moves on to the next post.
By late afternoon they had most of the post and flooring done. They had the roof and walls framed out. All they had to do was skin the frame and that would be done tomorrow.
Fey watches as Dave cooks them dinner on the grill. She was drinking a sweet iced tea and was sore from using muscles she normally didn’t use.
“I’m glad we have a break for a few months.”
“After everything that happened to us in California, I agree. However, it will hurt our pockets.” Dave flips the steaks he was grilling and turns the potatoes as well.
“I know, but in September we have seven gigs to do.” Fey knew what their schedule was going to be for the summer.
“How about that television deal? What’s going on with that?” Dave knew Fey had been working with their manager on a television appearance.
“I’m still hammering out a few things, but it's promising.” Fey has been working hard on the deal.
“Well, hopefully, we’ll get it.” Dave flips the steaks again and adds some seasoning to it.
“Oh, we’ll get it.” Fey knew the network hiring them wanted them to perform for them on live television.
Once the steaks are ready and the potatoes are done. Dave serves Fey first and grabs a beer. He does his plate and sits down on the lounger he was sitting on.
Fey sticks around helping Dave clean up some before heading home. She parks in her normal parking spot and makes her way up to her apartment. When she enters, Fey hears some moaning coming from Jessica’s bedroom.
A smile appears on her face as she knows what Jessica is up to. She was pleased that Jessica found a nice guy while she was in California. She shuts her bedroom door and strips out of her work clothes. She grabs a towel and quietly makes her way to the bathroom and take a shower. She didn’t want to lay down on her brand-new silk sheets with sweat on her body.
After taking her shower, and blow-drying her hair in her bedroom. Fey finally lays down and snuggles under her covers. She turns her lamp off and slowly drifts off to la, la, land.
The next morning, Fey is woken up by her bladder. She gets out of bed and walks out of her bedroom, without putting her robe on. She walks into the bathroom with her skimpy teddy. She didn’t notice that Jessica’s friend was coming out of Jessica’s bedroom.
Barry opened the door and just as he was about to step out of Jessica’s bedroom. He spots Jessica’s roommate Fey walking out of her bedroom and walking right in front of him. He noticed she was wearing a peach color skimpy teddy. He watches as her butt wiggles as she walks into the bathroom.
He shakes his head as he waits for her to exit from the bathroom. He glances back over his shoulder and notices Jessica is still asleep. He knew she was going to be sore from all the sex last night.
He turns back around and watches as Fey exits the bathroom. An evil thought pops into his head “Morning.”
“Morning.” Fey didn’t even react when she heard a man’s voice.
Barry watches as Fey just walks back into her bedroom. He figures Fey must be still half asleep. He goes into the bathroom and does his morning business.
Fey starts getting ready for the day. She had some business she needed to take care of. She knew Dave was going to wait a few days before skinning the roof and walls. Since she was tending to business. She dresses semi-casual and grabs her purse, which has her car keys in it.
Fey walks down to her car in the parking lot. She gets in pulls out of the parking lot and drives towards her first destination.
For the next few days, Fey and Dave work on the veranda. Sammy comes over to give them a hand. They hadn’t heard from Nike but knew it was just a matter of time before she showed back up.
Dave and Fey noticed that Sammy started wearing clothes that showed off her figure more. Dave lightly teased her about it, but Fey knew Sammy was exploring how she always felt and was cheated out of being able to express herself when she was younger.
Lately, there’s been a movement in their hometown to stop transpeople from using women’s locker rooms and bathrooms. One woman who knew Fey hadn’t always been a woman accused her of being a man when she walked out of the women’s restroom at the courthouse. Fey was escorted to the security office and to prove she was a woman, pulled her dress up and showed the security officers she was a woman. She could have hypnotized them, but did.
She could have pressed charges against the woman who accused her of being a man, but she didn’t. She did however tell the woman that if she pulled that stunt on a transgender person again. She would make sure the woman had nightmares for the rest of her life.
Normally, Fey wasn’t a violent person, but she didn’t tolerate stupidity or arrogance. She told Dave about the encounter at the courthouse. Both of them blamed the current political environment. It seemed a few high school girls’ track team members didn’t like the fact that they got beat by a transgender student on the opposing school’s track team.
That was just one instance. A transgender girl volleyball player at one high school had spiked the volleyball too hard and broke the nose of another player from the opposing team. The parents of that student were suing the transgender girl and the high school she played for.
It was bad enough that life was already hard for trans students, but suing them because of a situation that could accord in any game was unbelieveable. Hell, she had to be careful when she came out of high school. There was a group of bullies in her high school who loved to intimidate and beat up people.
By the time she arrived back at her apartment and entered it. She saw a note for her from Jessica.
Fey, I’ll be in Vegas for a week with Barry. I’ll call you once we check in at our hotel. We’re staying at the Circus Circus Hotel.
Love,
Jessica.
A smile appears on Fey’s face and hopes Jessica has a good time. Fey goes about fixing some dinner for herself and hopes things between transgender people and normal people don’t get as bad as she has a feeling that they might get.
