More Gaby on horseback today in Trot On!

Book 22 continues, maybe a bit slower than I'd like, but its going - this coming week should allow more writing time as I have fewer social engagements to disrupt things!

Since last time I've been silly busy on two wheels - on Thursday I rode over 140km out over the Trent and back whilst yesterday was silly in another way. Yup, yesterday I tackled the northbound Mortimer Road / Strines ride - famous in cycledom for three hard climbs over 17.9km including the max out 28.6% climb of Ewden Bank, the Tour de France only went down it! Overall you lose 74m of height but on the way pass over 3 peaks of over 380m which doesn't sound much but that's @ 100m gains per 1km climb average.I survived with maybe not the fastest crossing, just shy of 28mins behind the best, but certainly not the slowest! it was a warm day too, avg. temp 1c!

So, next time I should know where I am closer for the next 'book' release so watch out for Wednesdays post.
