I've never had my readers tell me the title of a chapter before. But I promised to continue Mark's story from River (the one he told the students in his grade 5 class) if there was interest. Many said I should do so, and told me the title should be the one at the top of this blog. I just finished the story, and for me it is a long one, at 9000 words.

The story was difficult to write. I had stopped it within the River chapter because I didn't know where to go with it, and for several days I was having the same problems. Then I decided to make it a creation story, with the origins of the rivertalker, the people, and the advancement of the Ojibwe civilization becoming themes. Then it started to roll.

I will give it a third read tomorrow, and then pass it on to my editor. My hope is that it can be the posting next Wednesday. (I have another chapter of River ready for this weekend, if Eric can get to it). Then River will skip a week and Roundstones can take its place. I hope you will all like it.
