My confusion about comments and responses

I posted a story yesterday. It got 7 comments here. I am so happy and inspired to continue it.
The thing is that I posted it at FM the day before. If people can see the story there, Vanessas Life, it has nothing. No responses, zilch. That is very uninspiring. I wondered if it just stank but I am happy about the comments here so I am considering just posting the next chapter here.
I was told that the readers at FM would appreciate the more hard edged storys like I am writing, not here. The responses show otherwise.
So I am confused
It has another part and I think it will end there. If I cam figure out where to take it from there, that will be another story. Or maybe just the third part. I am not sure
