Baby huggles

I had a moment yesterday that moved me profoundly.

I was outside talking with my next door neighbor, and she had her little boy with her, maybe 6 months old. I was saying to her about feeling a lack of energy when suddenly this little one reached out for me.

Her mother gave him to me, and I "talked" to the baby for a bit, and then I noticed that his mom had gone inside her house for a moment.

Words do not do justice to how humbled I was at her trust in me with her little baby.

Made my night at work much better, let me tell you.
