my new favorite book

Well, I have a new favorite book.

I was in a used book store a couple of days ago, and I found a book called "Dark Mirror". The book takes place in the X-Men universe, and stars Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Rogue, and Nightcrawler.

So why is it my new favorite book?

Because in the story, a powerful telepath puts the minds of the X-Men into the bodies of patients in a mental hospital. And as it happens, Jean Grey is put in the body of a man, and Wolverine and Cyclops are put in the bodies of women.

The rest of the story is them struggling to escape the hospital, to find a way cross-country to stop the telepath, and dealing with the body switch along the way.

If nothing else, if they ever met a trans person after this adventure, they would truly emphasize ...

The really cool thing is the book was published by Marvel Press, which means the comic-book company signed off on this story.

So kudos to Marvel!
