Just one of the ladies

By now, you might think that I should no longer be shocked when someone accepts me as a woman without any quibbling, but you'd be wrong.

Today, at church, a group of ladies including me were asked to participate in a a little skit for the kids, and when one of the ladies had to bow out, one of the others said, "well, it doesn't have to be all ladies" and asked a man to join the group.

You might not have noticed, but without even thinking about it she included me in the "ladies", and it was a pretty cool.

Its moments like this that keep me going when I struggle with feeling like a fake, so I am super grateful for it.
