I really hope I'm not annoying people with these updates or come across as if I am gloating because that is not my intent at all. I hope by sharing my success and excitement it will encourage others to follow their own dreams and press on.
Earlier tonight I hit my: Drum roll please
Sold over 600 copies of God Bless the Child this month
Right now God Bless the Child is ranked #821 in paid sales and is in the top 5 of at least three genres and the top 100 of many more. This goes to show that there is a large market for books that contain transgender characters and themes. I think there are several authors on this site who have the talent and ability to write trans books that appeal to mainstream readers and can be successful commercially. I am also guessing a few who have gone before me may have even outdone my 1000 sales. So its there, even if its just for pocket change.
By the way. I haven't forgotten the site. I am working on my next novel (still) and haven't gotten out of the rough draft phase at 200k words. I will be posting again and (this is a secret) I plan on posting a 10 year anniversary edition of GBTC once I tighten things up.
