An Introduction

I just posted my first story here last week, and figured it would be nice to introduce myself. I've been lurking here for a few years, and enjoying some truly excellent stories - thank you all very much. I'd recently changed jobs, and the new position is much less demanding than what I'd done previously (pays more, though ;) The upshot of which is that I've been getting bored, so decided to try my hand at writing, thus my first story.

I can't thank everyone enough for such a welcome reception - better than I'd truthfully hoped for. I also have a new respect for the authors here, you all make it look so easy. I'm afraid I also have to plead guilty here, getting comments and kudos is very welcome, and I've been really, really bad at that, so I'm making a new effort to be better about leaving comments (OK, just to leave some...)

Aside from being a voracious reader, I do math as a hobby. I am trying very hard to come up with a story into which I can add some simple prime number theory - so you've got that to look forward to... Don't have it yet, though, and I've already started a next effort, so it won't be coming too soon. I also enjoy cooking. I see there's a blog category for food and recipes, so I might contribute more that way in the future. Odd collection of hobbies, I suppose, but it looks like odd ducks are a common enough sight around here.
