I laid eyes on you in late winter, early spring.
Now it’s late summer, early fall, where did the time go?
Watched you grow before my very eyes,
Saw you smile, laugh and cry.
With every movement or sound,
You learned how to turn my world around.
Now you’re with family far away,
And I miss you each and every day.
One thing I want you to always know,
I will always love you, even though I had to let you go.
