This is a good thing. Look at the picture of the children involved, and you will see that they are very largely of South Asian (Indian/Pakistani) origins. That area of London is heavily populated by people whose families originally came from that part of the world, and thus there is rather a lot of 'tradition' in the area, the sort of tradition that ends up with children swinging from ropes in public in other parts of the world. To see such an initiative in a traditionally "progressive" part of London would be fine; to see such attitudes being embraced right there is wonderful.

Natacha's comment is true, of course: could they please include transfolk in their alliance?
