They had planned to take the ventilator tube out tonight but her ascites is so bad they were afraid she would have trouble breathing in the night, so they didn't. Since she is conscious and aware now, this annoyed her mightily and they finally gave her something to 'help' her sleep so she would quit trying to get them to take the tube out. I left when she went to sleep but it was nice to be there and talk with her and know she knew what I was saying even if she couldn't talk, too, with the tubes in the way. If all goes well, she'll probably get the tube out tomorrow and maybe Tuesday we can start figuring on when she may come home. - Erin
