Anyway, Mum and Katie (my sister) popped over on Sunday, including this very attention-seeking ten year old...

Although she can look quite different when waiting for dinner to be prepared... (is it just me or does that expression translate as "I'm bored" or "How much longer have I got to wait?")

Now, much as I'd like to, it would be rather impractical to send you all a slice of cake, so you'll have to make do with this...

...or perhaps this fruits of the forest cheesecake, which I prepared to take into work (it's a tradition that birthday celebrants bring in lots of goodies for colleagues to consume during the day - except I took mine in yesterday as I'm in a software demo all day today)...
