Late Post

no not last!

I have an excuse and i'm sticking to it!

So the week started out with a trip out to exchange the bike inner tubes that i bought last week - i somehow ended up with the wrong valve type, presta will fit anything but schraeder not so. It was a warm day, too warm to do anything cerebral.

Tuesday then was still supposed to be warm but not as warm so i set off for a burger run. It was a lovely day, almost ideal for riding, i added salad to the burger which made it healthy - well maybe not! Anyhoo, i ended up with a little over 80km for the day, a reasonable start to the new month. We were supposed to have steak for tea but neither of us could face eating much so that was a rain check, instead we had garden fruit crumble and ice cream, (gooseberry, blackcurrant, raspberry, strawberry and rhubarb) superb!

Wednesday then. Well i'm sure you've all heard that prolific BC contributor Angharad had a stroke on Friday, so on Wednesday, Aunty Bev and I travelled down to offer moral support and whatever assistance we could hence me not posting. The good news is that it doesn't seem to have been as severe as the first and she is doing okay, she can't drive on doctors orders for several weeks so we did a top up grocery shop, she and the cats won't starve and if need be we'll go down again. We will probably do that anyways, we do the trip down country about monthly for our mutual entertainment.

Today is another pleasant one, i've had a river walk with grocery shop, tomorrow i will return to two wheels. As for the weekend, well its the Bun Run on Sunday so my post will be later in the day but will include the next Gaby chapter.
