Yesterday I was privileged to view a new independent film about 3 members of our local transgender community! It's a completely local production filmed and produced by Charlie Alexander and Stacy Fatemi.

The film features an extended series of interviews of Shuly, River, and Eli. They tell about how they met each other in Austin, Texas, came to develop a 3 person polyamorous relationship, and moved to Albuquerque to escape the toxic Texas political climate. It's informative, very funny, and has some heart-warming teary sweet moments. In particular, you learn about Shuly's special relationship with her book library, River's love of things sweet (especially maple syrup) and Eli's experience with autism.

I got to see it at The Guild Cinema on Central Ave NE in the Nob Hill area. Several of my friends also attended as well as River whom I had already met. Charlie and Stacy gave a talk and answered questions at the end.

It may not receive any more theatre showings, but it's available for streaming free on YouTube!!!

FWIW, I confirmed that a few outdoor shots were filmed at Roosevelt Park in the southeast part of Albuquerque not far from the University. It is a beautiful old park and has been the site of many events including a Viet Nam war protest, at least one Renaissance Fair, and a recent LGBT picnic.

Addendum: If they get sufficient support from YT streaming or Patreon, they hope to develop a series of similar shows, perhaps in a 30 minute format.
