but 80% of what i hear you ask
Well the level of my current 'health' is the thing in question. Ignoring any long standing issues, the results of previous mishaps, i have a health baseline which i consider to be 'as good as its gonna get' (it takes into account perceived fitness, wellbeing and health issues) and that's where i was ten days ago. In the interim i've had a dose of flu, one of the worst i've had for some time, which really laid me low into last weekend, i was at best 50% until Sunday, my Bun ride left me exhausted but in better form, so maybe 70%.
The warm weather is helping and i was thinking i was back to @90% when i set off for my Tuesday ride. I felt pretty good, the breathing was okay, my head wasn't muzzy, i had a plan and it went well. Mucky burger at Clevedon then the 50km haul across to Bath was into the wind, by the time i hit the last leg on the bike path i was feeling a bit mashed. Well i guess 107km was pushing things a little.
Long story short, i've woken this morning with a bit of a chest and 'you're looking rough' from Aunty Bev, maybe i was a bit ambitious yesterday, i've dialled back my health level accordingly. But i'll take 80%, its generally going the right direction, i just need to give things a bit more time and take things a little easier.
The weather today is more of the same, wall to wall blue skies and mid teens temperatures, i'll get in a walk once i'm done here, another parcel to post and i hear a bacon sarnie calling, not had one for a couple of weeks!
In other news, Grandson #1 had his 7th birthday yesterday - how can it be? where have those years gone?
I guess that's about it, more on Sunday, but for now,
Tschussie,
