Frozen Hands?

Enemy of Fun said it better than eye in a footnote to her latest story - " As I’m sure all of you know, comments are life blood to an author. I’m not begging or demanding, but I certainly would appreciate anything you have to say (or ask). It doesn’t have to be long and involved, just give me your reaction to the story. Thanks in advance...EOF".
I have noticed that comments seemed to have dried up lately. Can we put it down to the weather? I mean not just the effect on the extremities but giving rise to a hibernative torpidity?
Just asking. I am almost out of blood.
