Chapter 15

Upon arrival Maria and Rick were met by a short woman with grey hair and a lined and weathered but smiling face. “Abuela!” Maria shouted and went to hug the tiny woman who hugged her back.

We all sat round the table and tried to make some sort of plans for the short term and some for more long term.

Susan came out with one that I hadn’t considered. “How long will I be around?”

Dave Indigo was the son of Francis Indigo, better known as Doctor Infenso. His father was the most dangerous and cruel villain to ever blight the earth, Dave has a liberal arts degree. He is known simply as: Minion Eighteen

The helo settled and the pitch and noise went off the rotors as the engine was cut. The handle on the side went up and down a few times and the doors remained firmly shut.

Part Two

-Eight-

A young acne-laden teen sat beside his bike and watched the workers run the slip scoop at the water's edge. At 14, he looked forward to the day when he could get a job like the one he was watching. A local crew had been contracted to dig out a portion of the river so a suitable structure could be erected to span its width. The bridge was heralded to become a gem for the city, grand and gleaming for all visitors to see.

Micah was well out of the way, positioned high above the working machinery. He was seated on the edge of the sidewalk which actually spanned the entire work site. He had always held a fascination with the heavy equipment, but as yet, never dared to venture down near its operation.

Is this reality, a patient's delusion or a page from The World Wacky News?

A cursed mirror begins our trilogy of an evil, vain young woman's trip into the unknown. Ending somewhere between there and here, where the known and unknown intersect. Only to play itself out inside...The Twilight Zone!

"Subject UX1 day 90. Subject woke up suddenly this morning and made a straight line to the mess hall. Subject seems to be abnormally strong. Normal containment will not be possible. Subject walked through walls to get to mess and then proceeded to devour large helpings of what was supposed to be our meals for the next week. both pork and beef approximately 3 cows worth where devoured, 5 15 pound turkeys, and every pickle jar instock approximately 5 cases of 12 jars 1 liter jars each. subject then fell asleep. We have moved her to one of the training room apartments that her niece X4 shared."

"WHAT THE ****** ******* ********* ******** ****** **** IS GOING ON!" I screamed.

“Honey?”

Colin glanced up. He calmed his mind, preparing himself for what was to come. He was very familiar with the syrupy, slightly wheedling tone Dee was using. She wanted something and didn’t want him to realize he was being manipulated. She would be mortified and loudly deny she ever did such a thing if he were to make the mistake of mentioning it to her.

She had seen the change in the sky from the classroom so Fey was not at all surprised by security calling upon her to enter the forest to see who had gone into it. After all, this person caused a person on security’s ‘watch list’ to run into a brick wall, something that a Brick shouldn’t be able to do.

Philip was a young teenager running from abuse, an abuse brought on by his foster father. Thinking escape was the only option for him, he bolted from home and ran head-on into the warm embrace of...THE TWILIGHT ZONE.

Note: this is a work of fiction and the characters, settings, etc. belong to their respective authors and this author. References to the anime Full Metal Alchemist and Bleach are used so a passing knowledge of the former (aka why you do NOT do Human Transmutation) and knowing up to ~ episode 130 of the latter will help explain things. Since this is my first work of fiction, I ask that you hold off on judgements till you see the full thing.

RECKONING -8- Gifted, Assemble!

FROM CATHY: Sorry for the delay in posting this chapter. A computer problem is to blame, but all is fixed and here we go!

An incident prods our heroes to jump into action. Chapter 9 will follow very soon, I promise.

An ancient, blind Indian woman is asked to provide a bride for a brash, handsome warrior prince. She agrees to his wishes and summons one using her ancestral spirits, even though he seems to view all women as something to be used only for his pleasure.

Here on this sacred land, where drums pound the beat, old women and young girls sing their song, and where warriors dance around the fires. For this ancient land is located directly in the heart of...THE TWILIGHT ZONE.

“Jibe Ho.” The boat swung hard to Port and the sail spat the wind and the boom smacked across. Suddenly we were going in the opposite direction. Just moments later I looked and Claymore had suddenly ripped to Port not quite jibing, but heading straight into the water we’d have been in. They WOULD have collided with us.
